(Red Legion Flagship Immortal, 2 days after Siege of Black Garden.)
Adam looked at the war table as Ca'uor, Cal'aug and several Red Legion officers stood in the room. Ca'uor decided to outline the status of the Red Legion and the Cabal Empire in the system.
"Without the Black Garden, vex forces in system have been depleted on Mars." Ca'uor stated and gestured to the war table. "The other legions are mopping up Vex forces. We will have total control within 12 hours." Ca'uor reported to which Adam hummed.
The Dominus of the Red Legion held his helmet in his other hand before placing it atop his head.
"We need to wipe out the Vex before they regain their strength." Adam stated and walked back to his throne. "Cal'aug? How goes things on the moon? We need to push the Hive back. The longer they have to gather more forces? The more troops we stand to lose." Adam reminded the Red Legion Admiral.
"The siege is still ongoing, my liege." Cal'aug put in and bowed as Adam hummed. "I wanted to request your permission for more… Direct means of containing the outbreak of Vex." Cal'aug stated which caused Adam to share a look with Ca'uor.
Ca'uor decided to speak for the ruler of the Cabal Empire.
"If it is permission to destroy the moon?" Ca'uor asked the Primus. "Then we are still in council over it. To destroy the moon would not even fully contain the Hive. You are well aware of how many wars moons we destroyed during the war with the Hive." Ca'uor added to which Cal'aug waved his hand.
"If the moon is destroyed, the number of Hive will drop significantly." Cal'aug stated to which Ca'uor snorted. "The humans have survived worse; they can handle the loss of their moon." Cal'aug added to which Ca'uor pointed a finger at the Admiral.
"That moon belongs to the ruler of the legion!" Ca'uor roared, his blood boiling like the magma launcher he wore on his back. "It is his decision if it is destroyed, Primus!" Ca'uor bellowed which Adam sighed at.
Rather than deal with the squabble, Adam turned his attention a figure who looked at the Vex structures with interest.
Adam had made it clear that his chambers were open to anyone willing to seek an audience with him. Adam had no knowledge upon leading the armies of the Cabal… And he knew very well many wanted to claim power or even overthrow him.
"Mercury." Adam heard from the figure and looked at the Psion in interest. "Yes, that would do very nicely after Nessus." Adam heard which made him blink.
"And you are?" Adam questioned the Psion who turned back to look at the Dominus.
"Krargen the Technocrat." The Psion stated to which Adam hummed. "There is much Vex technology on Nessus. Vex base…. Could help with research into Vex control over time…" Krargen added and bowed.
"That could be useful." Adam put in which caused Ca'uor and Cal'aug to turn to him. "And you said they control time on Mercury?" Adam questioned to which Krargen nodded.
"Vex stronghold on Nessus contain data." Krargen stated as Adam nodded and rested his head in his hand. "You are interested?" Krargen questioned the Dominus.
"If we gain control of time?" Adam questioned the Psion. "Then we could take down everyone in our way… What is it you require to get further on this project?" Adam asked the Psion.
"My liege, please…" Cal'aug started to say before Krargen spoke.
"We need to clear the Vex out of Nessus." Krargen stated to which Adam hummed. "Would give us more time to deal with the Hive." Krargen added to which Adam nodded.
"Yes, the Hive are more dangerous than the Vex." Adam stated before Cal'aug cut in.
"That is why we should focus on destroying the Vex LAST!" Cal'aug put in before Adam glared at him.
"The Hive don't die so easily!" Adam roared in Ulurant which made the Primus recoil, not used to such volume. "I killed Crota…. AND HE HAD TO BE KILLED AGAIN IN HIS OWN WORLD! Destroying the moon would do NOTHING, but ruin Earth!" Adam bellowed to Cal'aug before turning back to Krargen and clicked his fingers together.
"Krargen?" Adam questioned as the Technocrat blinked. "We're going to acquire the Vex's technology. I want you and Ca'uor to put together a group and secure Nessus. When that's done? We're focus all our efforts on Mercury and secure the technology… An assault on Mercury now would just end with getting us killed…" Adam stated and got a nod from Krargen.
"The Hive will destroy us before these machines do!" Cal'aug bellowed before Adam growled.
"And the Hive will survive the moon's destruction." Adam hissed under his breath. "You will return to your ship. I killed Crota, Primus… If the Hive were that easy to kill? Then you should be more then capable of subduing the moon without destroying it." Adam added as his Blood Guards moved towards Cal'aug.
The Primus looked around the room and saw that nobody supported his idea. The Red Legion admiral withdrew from the throne room with a huff.
"Vex have Hive technology." Krargen informed Adam who hummed.
"Really?" Adam asked and looked at the Technocrat. "Tell me more then." Adam put in and reclined in his throne.
Adam had made his plans. The Red Legion would strike at Nessus and plunder the Vex tech.
Then they'd swing around to strike Mercury and seize control of this war.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that Adam's plans are going to bring him into a civil war soon. Next chapter will show the Cabal making plans to strike at Nessus along with Adam talking to the Last City and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
P.S: Next chapter will be 1200 words. Fallen 1200 words and I might make an Exo stranger story.
