Time Period: A Flashback
Scene 1: A doctor's office
Situation: Sarah's last doctor appointment before giving birth
Sarah ((Emilia Clarke) lifting up her shirt): I am so ready for my last check up
Doctor (putting gel on Sarah's stomach): Lets see how this baby is doing
Sarah (nervous and anxious): ok
Kyle ((Jai Courtney) squeezing Sarah's hand): Everything will be alright
Sarah (to the doctor): What is the current update on the baby?
The doctor (performing an ultrasound test): The baby's status is still the same. It is not good.
Sarah (choked up): I understand
The doctor: You should prepare yourself for the worst
Sarah (fighting back tears): Like a still birth?
The doctor: Possibly
Pops (to Sarah): What the doctor has said is not true
Sarah (crying): I can't do this anymore
The doctor: What do you mean by you can't do this anymore?
Sarah (sobbing uncontrollably): I can't take all this bad news
The doctor: I am sorry, but it is what it is
Kyle (rushing Sarah and Pops out of the doctor office): We thank you for your time, but we have to go
Scene 2: After the doctor's appointment-Sarah and Kyle's bedroom
Sarah (crying into her pillow): We are going to have a stillborn
Kyle (rubbing Sarah's stomach): I refuse to believe I'll lose this child
Sarah (sniffling): What is the point of having John if we are going to lose him in the end?
Kyle: You are super close to delivery. We have never made it this far in our other pregnancies. John is meant to be here with us.
Sarah (admiring her gigantic baby bump): John is indeed a miracle
Pops (walking into the room): Should I take down the decorations in the nursery or leave them up?
Sarah: You should leave them up
Pops: I am glad you are feeling better
Time Period: A Flashforward
Place: A hospital delivery room
Situation: John's birth and death
The doctor (checking Sarah (still Emilia Clarke)): You are now fully dilated
Sarah (praying): OH GOD! Please help me. Please give me strength.
Kyle (holding Sarah's hand): You got this, honey
Sarah (having contractions): I have to push. The birthing process is starting.
The doctor (putting Sarah in the stirrups): When the moment is right, you can start pushing.
Sarah (actively trying to push the baby out): AHA...AHA..AHA..AHA
The doctor and nurse (counting): 1..2..3..4..5
Sarah (still pushing, crying, and screaming): AHA..AHA..AHA..AHA
Kyle and Pops (cheering on Sarah): GO SARAH!
Sarah (taking a break to catch her breath): John is surely big and stubborn
Kyle: You are strong enough to push him out
Sarah (giving into her pain once again): AHA..AHA..AHA..AHA
Pops (switching between holding Sarah's hand and head): You shall not die today. Today is not the day.
Sarah (exhausted, she collapses back on her pillow): Something is wrong
The doctor (inserting forceps into Sarah): It appears that the baby is stuck. Forceps will get him out.
(A highly emotional Sarah tears and bleeds nonstops while a nurse presses down and hard on her stomach. Sarah wants to escape this suffering, but Kyle and Pops motivate her to push through the pain. She refuses to believe she will lose this child meaning John. All they hear is dead silence instead of John's cries in the end. The doctor from Sarah's last prenatal appointment was right along. The future appears dark until otherwise.)
Time Period: A Flashforward
Place: A Hospital Delivery Room
Situation: Josephine's birth
Sarah (Emilia Clarke) reaching the end of her labor): It is almost time for your big debut, my dearest Josephine
Pops: I am looking forward to seeing and holding Baby Josephine
Sarah (rubbing her stomach): Me too
Kyle (kisses Sarah's stomach and her forehead): I love you
Sarah (kissing Kyle's lips): I love you too
Kyle: I refuse to believe we will lose this child, our precious rainbow baby.
(As usual the doctor checks Sarah and concludes she is fully dilated. Miraculously and thankfully, Sarah gives birth to a healthy baby girl. Josephine grows up to be as beautiful, strong, and courageous as her mother and role model Sarah (Emilia/Lena/Linda). Josephine and Sarah are each other's rock and saving grace.)
