Heya Readers! So I should have mentioned that, while I said I didn't know how soon I could finish season 1, I was working on multiple chapters at the same time. So, hopefully, I might be able to get them out sooner. But no promises though.
Just a little heads up, I have no idea what Breakdown's vehicle mode is, I think it's a mix between an armored SUV and a swat car? If anyone knows, you can correct me.
But anyway, enjoy the chapter!
"I'm just saying, I think we should corner Starscream," I argued looking up at Dad and Ratchet, "Megatron has been dead for over a month now, and the Decepticons have to be living off their last life support. Besides form Soundwave, Starscream has no backup other then the vehicons. Let's just take him out, and end this war already!"
They listened to what I had to say, but in the end they told me, "Nora, we want to end this war as much as you do, but pin pointing when Starscream decides to show himself could take way longer." Ratchet said.
"And we don't know whether he has contacted others. After meeting Wheeljack, it is very likely that there are still Decepticons out there, who will continue to war, with or without their leader." Dad mentioned. I frowned, crossing my arms and looked to the side. Dad leaned close to the railing, reaching out the side of his finger, he gently rubbed my cheek, "But I admire your determination Nora." He smiled.
I blushed a little, looking back at him, I smiled. But I was still upset: I didn't want to leave life the rest of my life constantly fighting a planet that was always under attack, and living in constant fear that I might loose another family member. I sighed out, "Ok..." After our little discussion, I heard the familiar sounds of Bumblebee and Arcee rolling into the base, after picking up Jack and Raf from school. I moved away from Dad and walked over to the top of the stairs to greet them. When the two boys stepped out, I noticed Bulkhead and Miko were missing, "Hey guys. Did Miko get detention again?"
"What do you think?" Jack smirked, walking up the stairs.
"I kinda feel bad for her. I-I mean, I never been in detention, but it doesn't sound like fun," Raf shrugged, following behind Jack.
"I imagine it's like being grounded, but with homework?" I asked, as we walked over to the lounge area, the boys both nodded. We sat down on the couch, Jack turned on the TV while I grabbed the manga I was reading. But as I was trying to finishing reading, I started to think about what normal life is like for my three human friends. Sure they were now roped into an ancient alien-robot war, but before that, they must have never had worrying about life threating conflicts. I kinda envied them. Ironic in how only months ago, I tried reject being half human, but now embracing it.
"You ok, Nora?" Raf said, taking notice to my sad expression.
I jolted a little, blushing, "Oh-ah, yeah I'm ok. Just a lot on my mind." I buried my head in my book.
We were quiet for a while, as the boys were watching TV and I was in silent reading. Till finally we heard Bulkhead coming through the entrance, "That's wired, it too soon for detention to be over." Raf raised his brow.
Bulkhead pulled up, and Miko jumped out, "Ugh, you sound just like my parents." She whined.
Bulkhead transformed, towering over the girl, "Aren't they Japanese?" He asked.
"They may speak a different language, but you say the same things."
"Because we want the best for you. And that means making sure you go to school, not jail." Bulkhead frowned, following her to the stairs.
Jack, and I walked over to the railing watching their little debate, "Uh-oh, what'd you do?" Jack smirked.
Miko groaned out, and pointed up at me, "Why are you breathing down my neck Bulk? Nora doesn't have go to school!"
"Because I'm constantly fighting a war, Miko," I crossed my arms, raising a brow to challenge her argument, "And everyday I'm out on the battlefield, I'm at a great risk of loosing my life." I took noticed that half of the Autobots that were in the room all frowned slightly. I knew they didn't like me talking about how I could easily die, but it was true, and I was making a point.
Miko put her hands on her hips, and asked, "You wanna trade?"
Bulkhead stepped in, kneeling down to his human, "Look, Miko, before I became a warrior, I was a laborer, construction. I can build stuff. I can break stuff. And that's it."
Miko arched her brow, before smiling, "I love breaking stuff. I want to be just like you, Bulk." She said, clearly not getting the message her guardian was trying to explain.
Bulkhead groaned, "Why would you want to be like me, when you could be a-a medic like Ratchet?"
Speaking of the medic, Ratchet got an alarm on the monitor screen, "I'm detecting a fresh energon pulse, from the nation call... Greece. An ancient city, quite historic I believe."
I could see the lightbulb lit up in Bulkhead's head, "Ancient Greece, huh? Oh, field trip." He smiled down a Miko.
I smiled, "That sounds like fun, mind if I join?" I slide down the railing and rushed over to Miko.
"The more the merrier," Miko shrugged, but liked the idea of going on a Autobot mission. However I didn't think she knew the real reason why she was going.
"Alright lets get going! Bridge us their Ratchet," Bulkhead said, and transformed. Miko jumped into his passenger seat, while I took the diver's seat. Ratchet set the coordinates to where the energon pulse was, and switched on the ground bridge. Wasting no time, Bulkhead drove through.
No POV
Flying through a lighting storm, Starscream stared out the ships large windshield in the bridge. Hearing the doors slide open behind him, he crossed his hands behind his back, "It's about time, Knockout. I do not enjoy being kept waiting."
The new Decepticon sighed tiredly, "It was a long drive, Starscream. I'm still picking bugs out of my grille." He smirked.
Starscream narrowed his optics, turning around to look at the vehicle con, "Yes, right. You're one of those," He sneered.
Knockout arched a brow, "Come again?" Placing a hand on his hip, while the seeker circled him.
"Never understood why any self-respecting Decepticon would choose automobile as his vehicle mode, when he could have flight."
Very few Decepticons took car-modes. However the con just said, "I like the way I look in steel-belted radials." Knockout smirked, to which Starscream rolled his optics. Knockout took a the form of a fancy, shiny red and silver European car, "These humans as they called themselves, while being revolting lobs of flesh, do have good taste in vehicles." Starscream ignored him, and started guiding the new medic to the infirmary, "I take it Lord Megatron requires a laboratory assist?"
"You...might say that," Starscream smirked, opened the door.
Inside the infirmary, stretched out on a tilted stretcher, was Megatron himself. His body scratched and burned from the space-bridge expulsion that should have killed him, hooked up to life-support cables. But was most gruesome was the crater in the center of his chassy, where his spark should be. It was empty, yet in his stasis state made it look like he was breathing.
"Whoa," Knockout gasped.
"Sadly, our inevitably former Lord Megatron has been like this for some time. But the crew took a vote, and it was decided that an expert might put him on the road to recovery." Starscream frowned, obviously not liking the idea of Megatron rising from the dead, and taking back his throne. Not to mention that when he found Megatron drifting almost lifelessly in space, he ripped out the dark energon shard that was keep him online. Starsceam could only imagine what kind of hell would rain upon him if Megatron remembered.
Knockout sheepishly looked at the seeker, "I've done plenty of body work, Starscream, but I'm better at breaking them then fixing them," He transformed his hand into a drill for demonstration, "It would help if I had my assistant."
"I summoned both of you, where is he?" Starscream frowned.
"We were hot on a fresh energon trail when you called. Breakdown will show when he's through scouting it." Knockout smirked. The medic walked over to monitor screen and started checking on Megatron's status. But just when Starscream said, "I'll leave you too it," and headed for the door, Knockout found something that peeked his interest.
"Test subject: Nora Prime?" Starscream halted, turning back around. Knockout had found the old saved files that were documented, back when the Decepticon's kept Nora as prisoner. Opening the files, the monitor screen was flooded with multiple charts, and diagrams. "Very interesting~ What is a...Techno-Organic?" He read out loud.
Starscream groaned, though there really was no point in hiding her existence to his new recruits, for they would most liking meet her on the battlefield, "She is some kind of mutant hybrid between human and Cybertronian. She was founded by the Autobots seventeen years ago. And while she looks human, she is capable of doing multiple things a regular Autobot can do. However," Starscream walked up to the monitor and pressed a button, it showed a diagram of her body. It then highlighted her engeron cells, showing a early purple color, rather then blue, "It would appear she has a very unique substance that flows through her vanes... An ancient substances that Megatron tried to use on himself, Dark engeron."
Knockout's optics widened, "You mean... blood of Unicorn the destroyer? How is that even possible?"
"Your guess is as good as mine. While we did not uncover the reason for her existence, Megatron had a few hunches," Starscream narrowed his optics at the open files about the techno-organic. Before Megatron's demise, his master had hoped to use her once again, not for experiments, but as a tool or a soldier. Though with him slowly dying, the seeker was unsure if he wanted to go through with Megatrons plans for Nora, or scrap the idea all together. As much as he hated to admit it, he didn't exactly wanted a repeat of what happened last time she went rogue on him.
Starscream pressed the button again, gather up all of Nora's filed and stored them away, "Focus on your reason for being here Knockout. Our dear master needs tending too." He left, leaving Knockout to his work.
Nora's POV
Exiting the ground-bridge we arrived in Greece, "Here we are," Bulkhead said, opening his doors to let Miko and myself out.
"Wow... Look at this place!" I smiled, my eyes twinkling, as I took around the ancient buildings. Miko and I rushed over to get a better look at the ruins, "No wonder people spend thousands of dollars to travel, it so worth it!"
"You're sounding more like Raf, Nora." Miko teased, jabbed my with her elbow, to which I jabbed her back giggling.
"No, I'm being serious, I rarely get to travel to different countries."
Miko turned to Bulkhead, "So, what are we doing in Greco-Ville?"
Bulkhead pulled out a small, hand-held scanner, that Ratchet gave to him, to help find the source of the energon tail, "Nora and I are scouting energon. You're doing research for your history report."
Miko blinked a few times, and gapped up at her Autobot, "You punked me Bulk? Not cool!" She then frowned at me, to which I shrugged.
Bulkhead walked closer to the edge of the large, stone stairway we were on. Lifting the monitor up high, as it beeped louder, "Hmm, signal's strong," Looked further out on the ruins we noticed some construction trucks, "An excavation site." Miko and I looked up at him, "I know construction," the bot shrugged, "According to my scanner, humans hot energon veins, and they don't even know it."
"That's bad, right?" I asked, to which Bulkhead nodded yes.
Scanning around the ruins more, Bulkhead saw a painted pedestal. The painting showed a human that looked more like one of those Greek Gods, holding a spear in one hand, and a golden orb in the other, making it the focal point.
"Whoa... That's Cybertronian. But why would ancient Greeks paint an energon harvester?"
"You know what that round thing is? You're smarter then you let on," Miko smiled, pulling out her phone to take a picture of the painting.
"But even dumber then he looks." Came a deep, gruff voice from behind us. We all turned to see a Cybertronian, standing over the arena stairs behind us. My eyes widened, never seen this guy before; he was large and had the same built as Bulkhead, and while his armor was blue and silver, his face was orange with bright yellow optics. I didn't see his symbol, but I didn't have to take a guess on who's side he was on. Decepticon.
"Breakdown." Bulkhead narrowed his optics.
The con chuckled, "Miss me?"
"Like rust in my undercarriage," Bulkhead growled.
"You know this lunkhead?" Miko frowned.
"We have a history."
"And you have pets," Breakdown spat, but chuckled, "Do they play catch?" reaching for a pillar that was next to him, he tore it from the ground, "Catch!" He then lunged it at us.
I wasn't able to transform, and get Miko to safety in time, thankfully, Bulkhead was quicker, using his back as a shield. The pillar broke into pieces and made a dust could, "Nora, Miko, stay down!" Bulkhead shouted, the dust cleared and Breakdown came charging at Bulk, tackling him. I pushed Miko down, we squatted as the two robots flew over us, down towards the excavation site. They bounced off the ground and Breakdown threw Bulkhead over him, throwing him at the painted pedestal, Bulkhead collided with it, smashing it into pieces. Bulkhead groaned out, trying to get back up.
"Oops, hope the pretty picture wasn't too important," Breakdown smirked. I had just about had enough of this jerk, quickly transforming, I rocketed towards him, my right master-blade out. He didn't see me coming as I quickly scratched him on the cheek. He grunted in pain, holding his hand to his cheek, glaring up at who caught him off guard. That's when he noticed me in my techno-form, floating in front of him, while shielding Bulkhead. "What the..."
"Hey jerkward! If your anything like Bulkhead, then that means your in big trouble!" I narrowed my eyes at him.
The con quickly snapped out of his shock reaction, and glared at me, "What that's supposed to me, shrimp? And since when do mini-cons fly and have holoforms?"
I ignored him calling me a mini-con, and smirked, "That just means your slower then the average con!" Pulling out my other master-blade, I charged at him again, getting hits all over his body. My blades, while not able to cut fully through the bulky armor like he had, was able to make plenty of scratches. Breakdown grunted in pain, as he tried to swat at me or grab me like a bug, but he didn't know that after years of training with the Autobots, I had figured out how to take down a Cybertrionian based on their built. After slicing him up like a vegetable, I flew up to his face and kicked him between the optics, pushing with all my strength, and backflipped away. He stumbled back, rubbing his face, before looking down at his scratched up body.
Breakdown growled, and transformed his right arm into a large silver hammer, it reminded me of how Bulkhead had a wrecking ball, instead of blades like the other bots, "You're dead, bug!" he shouted. But just before he was about to charge at me, I overheard his comlink go off, "Breakdown, where are you?!" It sounded like Starscream, "Did you find the what you were scouting for?"
"Yes but-"
"Then what are you waiting for?! Get to the ship, now!"
Breakdown took one last look at me, and snarled, "This isn't over bug!" retracting his hammer, he transformed and drove off.
I retracted me face-mask and stuck my tongue out, "Loser." But I was now worrying, the thing that was concerning me the most; Starscream was gathering new followers.
"Nice ninja attack Nora!" Miko cheered running towards me and Bulkhead, "Got it all on camera too!"
I landed on the ground, we both turned to poor Bulkhead, who was sitting back up. He looked down at the broken painted pedestal, frowning, "Told you guys I'm good at breaking things..."
But Miko smiled, "I always have your back, Bulk," grabbing her phone, she held it up, "Got us a picture of the picture."
"Good job Miko," I smiled, high-fiving my friend, "Let's get back, and tell the others."
Back at base, we told the others what happened, about running into a new enemy, and about the relict on the painting. Miko handed her phone to Ratchet who, uploading the photo onto the monitor screen, for us to get a better look, "It is indeed an energon harvester. A powerful tool created by the ancients, to remove raw energon from any source." Dad explained.
"Greek gods knew Autobots?" Raf asked.
Dad shook his head, "No, the ancients often used the art of given era to conceal messages. This fresco was likely a signpost indicating a harvester's location hidden somewhere on this planet."
Jack then piped in, "Uh, Optimus, if the harvester removes engeron from anything, and you all, including Nora have energon pumping inside you..."
I suddenly released where he was going with this. My eyes widened, hugging my arms around my body. To think that a tool could suck out energon from a bot's body made me shudder.
Dad narrowed his optics, "In Decepticon hands, the harvester would be a devastating weapon."
Miko turned to Bulkhead, "See? You were a genius to total that painting."
"Or were just lucky that Breakdown is a bigger knucklehead then we thought," I added, getting Bulkhead smiled.
"They're not wrong," Arcee added, "How can the cons find the harvester without the fresco?"
"With high-speed internet," Raf said, tipping away on his laptop, "If you do an image search for "Greek God" and "Golden Orb," this pops up," he held up his laptop showing a image of a statue of the same Greek God from the painting, holding a golden orb, "It's in a museum."
Acree narrowed her optics at the screen, "That the real deal?" She asked Dad, how glared at the image.
"Contact Agent Fowler."
And we tried, but it was sent to voice-mail, "You're reached Special Agent William Fowler. I'm currently on an intensive training retreat, and unavailable until Tuesday."
"I hate talking to machines." Ratchet grumbled.
"Without Agent Fowler's direct aid, we will have to confiscate the harvester on our own." Dad said.
"So, basically, we're doing a break in?" I asked.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. "Confiscate"? "Break in?" As in steal museum property?" Jack panicked.
"That sounds...illegal." Raf added.
"I do not wish to break human law, but once the Decepticons learn of the harvester's location, they will not hesitate to obtain it by any means necessary. We must act covertly." Dad said.
"Ok, n-no offense Optimus, but covertly, and giant robots don't really go together. Museums are public. A-And they have guards and security cameras." Jack tried to explained.
That's when Miko butt in, "No problem! we're small enough to sneak in. And we are not a government secret."
"Miko, I'm not sure that's wise." Bulkhead scratched his helmet, thinking it over.
"But it may be our best option, Bulkhead. The longer we debate, the more time we give the Deceptions." Dad frowned.
I sighed out, "Guess we're doing this."
No POV
Breakdown drove through the ground-bridge Soundwave had provided for him. Entering the Nemesis, he transformed, and looked down at his scratched up body. "This is going to be embarrassing to explained," To think that he was beaten by a mini-con. His pride, now slight cracked, he headed for the bridge, where Starsceam, Soundwave, and Knockout were waiting.
"It's about time Breakdown," Starscream snarked, glaring at the bulky con, "Because of your absence, we've-" he paused, now seeing the damaged on Beakdown's body. Those cuts were small, and he instantly knew who they belonged to, "Run into some trouble?" the seeker smirked.
Knockout's optics widened, "What happened to you?"
Breakdown growled, his face-plate heating up, "When you summoned us, you failed to mention that the Autobot's had a flying, killer mini-con!"
Knockout glanced at Starscream who chuckled, "I see you have already met the techno-organic."
"Techno-what?"
"She is a hybrid of both Cybertronian, and human. Goes by the name, Nora Prime."
"She's a Prime?" Breakdown asked, hard to imagen the great line of Prime would have a tiny mutant.
"It's more of a 'last name', humans use to identify themselves," Starscream rolled his optics, while waving his fingers as too try and understand human culture, though he honestly didn't care, "Never the less, while she is half organic, and the same size as a mini-con, she can hold her own. But I see you've already figured that out," He kept smirking.
Knockout circled his assistant, "This will take some time to buffer."
"Back to the matter at hand, did you find what you were looking for?" Starscream asked Breakdown.
Breakdown nodded, "The mutant was with an old enemy of mine, who were also looking for the energon source. Saw something painted on a stone wall, looked like a gold orb."
Starscream's optics widened, "A harvester... Soundwave," He turned to the silent con, who did a quite look on the internet before finding the real thing in the same museum.
"Mm-hmm, that's definitely it," Breakdown clarified.
Starscream grinned, "Then I'm afraid Megatron's well-being will have to wait. It's harvest time..."
Nora's POV
We waited till nightfall, not wanting to draw attention, ground-bridging in the city, before diving up to the museum, Dad, Arcee, Bulkhead and Bumblebee all drove into the museum's empty parking lot. I was ridding in Bulkhead, as we all took our formation around the building, "Autobots, confirm position." Dad ordered.
"Westward ho." Acree said.
"East side covered." Bumblebee buzzed.
"South side covered." Bulkhead added driving to the back. I jumped out of his vehicle, already transformed, I flew up on top on the museum's roof.
"Top side covered." I said, walked over to the front, so I had a clear view of Dad and parking lot, where the only entrance and exit was.
"Maintain your guard," Dad ordered, shutting off his headlights, "Jack, Miko, Rafael, I will have a clear view of you. Once you secure the harvester, I will contact Ratchet to bridge you back to base." He called them through comlink.
"Now all we have to do is play the waiting game." I said. Dad had decided it would be better if I took lookout, rather then risk exposing myself, if something went wrong on the inside. I saw him flash the signal with his headlights, meaning Jack, Miko and Raf were already inside. As we waited, I heard a vehicle approaching us, "Dad, behind you," I comlink, as the car got closer, it was a shiny red European. I saw it's life signal on my face-mask screen, Decepticon.
He drove up on Dad's left side, whistling, "Sweet rims. 24 gauge?" he said in a smooth voice, "You're real heavy-duty. Just like my friend here."
The familiar sounds of a heavy duty truck came rolling up, Breakdown. And on top of his vehicle-mode, a rocket launcher. My eyes widened, as the con fired at the building, Dad quickly transformed and grabbed the rocket mid-air, pushing against the force of the rocket, slowing it down till it ran out of juice. And just in time, but the tip of the rocket hit the front window of the museum, cracking it. Thankfully the alarm didn't go off. Dad took a quick glance inside to see if Jack, Miko and Raf were ok, But once he turn back around, the red European had transformed, holding a staff-spear with a taser at the end, he jabbed it in Dad neck. He grunted in pain from the shock, and fell to the ground unconscious. The Decepticon jumped on his back and shock him again.
"Dad!" I screamed, the red con flashed his headlights at Breakdown which I assume was a signal. Breakdown started to charge towards the building, aiming his rocket launcher again. The commotion got the others attention, Bumblebee and Arcee drove up after the Breakdown, but he fire two rounds of rockets, one for both of them. Bumblebee got hit, forcing him out of his vehicle-mode and went into a tumble, and while Arcee managed to dodge the rocket, but she skitted hard, both of them colliding together.
I suddenly heard Bulkhead, who had climbed on top of the roof, running towards the edge, "Get to Optimus!" he shouted, jumping off the building and charged at Breakdown. But his enemy transformed and mega-punched him, sending him flying back, but he crashed into the red European getting him off Dad. But all the commotion and damaging the building set off the museum's alarms.
Flying down off the roof, I looked inside the building, seeing Raf roll the harvester off the statue, "You guys need to get out of here, now!" I shouted to them. I turned my attention back to Bulkhead and the red Decepticon, who got up before him. He, as well as I, notice dad was regaining consciousness. He went to attack him again, jumping in the air, taser ready, but I was faster, flying up I kicked him in the jaw as hard as I could, managing to him move away from dad, and landed on his back.
The con groaned in pain, look up at who kicked him. I was hovering over him, blasters out and ready to fire. I narrowed my eyes at him, but he smirked and chuckled, "You must be Nora Prime, I've heard so much about you~" the slight purr in his voice sent a shiver down my spine, I almost gagged.
"Oh yeah, Hotshot? Then I guess you've heard that I've taken down multiple cons before you!" I pointed my blasters closer to his face.
"The names Knockout, sweetheart. But Hotshot dose have a good ring to it~" I growled, hating the fact that my face was flushing red, thank Primus my mask was up so he didn't see. I gave him a warning shot, shooting right passed his left optic, onto the concert leaving a burn mark. His optics widened slightly, glancing at the burn mark, before looking back at me. I tied to keep my focus on him, but I stupidly glanced out of the corner of my eye, to see if others were doing ok. Big mistake, for Knockout grabbed his spear and swatted at me, I didn't get electrocuted, but I went flying, hitting my back on a lamppost.
I groaned, sliding down the pole. Knockout stood back up, dusting himself off, and touching his chin where I kicked. The sharp point of my boot grazed him, he frowned and walked over to me, "While I admire your power and how you are one of a kind~ I should let you know, I don't like it when my paint gets scratched," His taser sparked.
I just smirked, forcing myself to stand, "You shouldn't have told me your weakness."
"I wouldn't call it a weakness, unlike the multiple ones you have on file~" My hole bod went cold, I stiffened up, and my eyes were wide. Suddenly all those horrible memories of being trapped on the Nemisses, going through hundreds of testing played in my head like a horror film. I was so braindead and lost in my own dark thoughts, that I couldn't focus on Knockout kneeling over me, reaching out his hand to grab me.
Suddenly Bumblebee drove right at him, transformed and tackled the con. I gasped out snapping back to reality, as I watched them tumble on the ground, till Bee had him pined down, "Don't you EVER touch her!" He shouted in dark voice I had never heard from him before.
Suddenly we all heard the sound of a jet taking off, behind the museum. Looking to the sky, we saw Soundwave in his jet-mode, and clutching in his grappler, the harvester. He flew off, I wanted to go after him, but even I couldn't fly that fast to chase after the jet. with Soundwave being a distraction, Knockout kicked Bumblebee off, standing back up, "Mm, that would be game," smirking, backflipping and transformed back into vehicle-mode, with Breakdown following in hot pursuit.
The group was about to chase after them, but we heard Jack and Raf shout, "The cons have the harvester!"
"And security as Miko!" They ran over to us.
Bulkhead was shocked, "What? I'm going in after her." He looked ready to break through the building, but Dad pushed him back.
"Bulkhead, Miko may be detained, but she is safe from harm."
"She probably in a lot of trouble though." I frowned.
Failing the mission, we had to regather back at base, "In all likelihood, Starscream will use the harvester to gather as much energon as quickly as he can. From the planet's otherwise unmineable energon deposits. Approach with extreme caution. Starscream with not hesitate to turn the harvester on any one of us." Dad ordered, sending Bumblebee and Arcee to different locations on the planet that Starscream might start harvesting first. Setting a coordinates for himself, he reopened the ground-bridge, and turned to Bulkhead and me, "Bulkhead, Nora, it is best that you remain here."
"So we can must Miko out of the museum?" Bulkhead thought out loud.
"So you can help Ratchet. You may be Miko's guardian, but she requires human assistance. Agent Fowler remains her best option," Dad explained, then turned to me, "Nora, because Starscream will turned the harvester into a weapon, it is safer for you to stay here."
I understood what he was saying, but I didn't like the idea of him, Arcee, and Bumblebee splitting up, if they actually find Starscream, I was worried they wouldn't get backup in time. I sighed out, but nodded, "I understand Dad. Be carful."
Dad nodded in return, transforming and drove through the ground-bridge. We tried to reach Fowler again, but the voicemail played again, "You're reached Special Agent William Fowler. I'm currently on an intensive training retreat, and unavailable until Tuesday."
"Still no answer." Raf frowned.
"Fowler's lounging around some poolside cabana." Bulkhead growled, I could see that he was pissed, not being able to help Miko. Letting his anger out the only way he knew how, smashing his fist right on Ratchet's frame welder.
Ratchet stared at Bulkhead in disbelieve, "Bulkhead, I needed that!"
Bulkhead ignored Ratchet's complaining, "We can free Miko, if we can just return that harvester to the museum." He thought, thinking his plan might work.
"So the Decepticons can steal it all over again?" Ratchet scoffed.
Bulkhead took into what Ratchet said, till realizing how idiotic that plan was, "I am so dumb!" he groaned, cradling his head in his hands. I sighed, feeling back for the big lug.
"So, how are we going to help Miko?" Jack asked Ratchet.
"By returning this replica to the museum," Ratchet held up the unfinished replica harvester, "The construction of which would be going a whole lot faster if Bulkhead hadn't just mangled my frame welder!"
"We're already trespassers and thieves. Why not add forgery to the list?" Jack said in a sarcastic voice, to which I punched him in the arm, glaring at him.
"You're not helping."
Bulkhead groaned out, "I wish I'd never taken Nora and Miko to the-" That when he remembered, "The painting of the harvester isn't the only thing we found at those ruins."
"I'm sorry?" Ratchet asked, not following up.
"Starscream's not dumb, no matter what kind of tool he has, he gonna take the easy route."
My eyes widened, "The construction site!"
Bulkhead nodded, "We know where they'll be. Ratchet, contact the others immediately." Bulkhead ordered, opening the ground-bridge to Greece.
"Wait!" I shouted, transforming, I flew in front of Bulkhead, "You're gonna need backup."
"Absolutely not!" Ratchet barked, "You young lady, were given orders to stay. You have very little energon pumping though your tiny human body, if Starscream uses the harvester on you, you could die within seconds."
"Ratchet's right Nora, we can't risk it," Bulkhead agreed.
I frowned, "So then, I'll stay hidden! Snipper style. I can do this, I won't get in the way!" I begged. Bulkhead turned to Ratchet, looking for the ok, since he didn't have the right.
Ratchet looked at me, frowning before sighing out, "I don't like the idea, but if you swear not to intervene..."
"I swear!"
"...Fine."
I smiled, landing myself on Bulkhead's shoulder, "Let's go kick some con aft!"
We bridge at the same dig site we found earlier that day, on the second level. Bulkhead was right, just below us, we saw Starscream, Knockout, and Breakdown along with a single vehicon, "Stick to the plan." Bulkhead whispered to me. I nodded, flying off his shoulder I hid behind a pillar, blaster out, I took aim at the seeker. As Bulkhead snuck closer, we listen in own the Decepticon's conversation.
"Why move mountains now, when we have a mother lode of energon right here for the taking," Starscream smirked, holding up the harvester, "Courtesy of this gift form ancient Autobots?"
"Uh, actually, Commander Starscream, it was a gift from Breakdown and myself," Knockout rminded him, seeing as how they were the ones who retrieved it.
Starscream frowned at them, then pointed the relic at them. The two cons flinched, Starscream activated it, a blue steam of light shot out, passing them and hit the vehicon. I watched in horror as energon was sucked out from him. The con gasped out, falling to the ground as he went online from energon lose.
After sucking every last drop, the harvester shut off. Starscream held it up, admiring it, "All that energon in such a tiny vessel."
"Those ancient Autobots never missed a trick, Lord Starscream," Knockout sheepishly smiled, now call him lord as to stay on his good side. Starscream pointed the relic back at them, smirking as Kocnkout and Breakdown coward.
Pulling it away, I turn back around, there were energon crystals that had been dug up by humans, an easy harvest. As Starscream used the harvester to retract the fresh energon, Bulkhead sneaked closer, jumping down the hill. He managed to land quietly, but as he rushed over to the cons, he stepped on a ancient pottery. The sound of glass shattering got their attention. "Oh, Bulkhead..." I groaned.
"Oh scrap," He cursed.
"Back for second?" Breakdown asked, as he and Knockout pulled out their weapons. The ran full force at him, splitting on each side. Taking aim, I shot, hitting Breakdown in the face. He cried out in surprised, squinting his optics. Taking the advantage, Bulkhead ducked under them, not seeing where he was swinging his hammer, Breakdown smashed it in Knockouts face. the red con dropped his spear and went down, Bulkhead grabbed it and thrust it at Breakdown. He grunted in pain, and fell on his back, the taser still shocking him.
But right before Bulkhead could charge at Starscream he pointed the harvester at him, and began to drain the energon from him. Bulkhead grunted in pain, unable to escape the relics power. I panicked as I watched him fall to his knees. "You're a big one. This could take a while." Starscream ginned.
I know I promised I'd stay out of sight, but I had to save him! I rocketed towards Starscream, firing at his face. He grunted in pain, rubbing his face with his free hand, as he tried to locate who shot him. How I wished by blasters weren't so small, because the attack gave me away, even though I took cover again. Starscream chuckled, "I now know you're here, Nora. Once I'm done draining your friend, I would love to collect your rare energon~"
I didn't quite know why he was saying it like that. Was it because I was half human? Maybe my energon was different? In any case, I had to get closer. I was about a 13 feet away from him, taking another shot, this time aiming right between the eyes, But just when I fired, he shield his face with his hand. He turned and spotted me, ginning evilly, "there you are..." Now focusing on me. But just when he was about to turn the harvester on me, Bulkhead, with little strength he had left, managed to get closer to the seeker. My distraction worked! "Wait! What are doing?" Starscream shouted at him.
"What I do best..." Bulkhead grabbed the harvester with his hand, "Breaking thing." retracting his fist, he punched Starscream in the face. The seeker grunted in pain, being pushed up against a hall of dirt, he let go of the relic, It stopped sucking energon.
Bulkhead groaned, wobbling around. "Bulk, launch it!" I shouted, flying towards him. Following my advice, he chucked it high, and far away in the air. The presser from Bulkhead attack and the harvester already full of energon, made it exploded into a huge cloud of blue. I sighed, it was over. But then I heard Bulkhead land on the ground, I panicked, "Bulk!" I flew over, landing on his chassy, "Bulkhead! Can you hear me!"
The sounds of electricity shocking behind me, made my energon go cold. I turned around, seeing Knockout and Breakdown, towering over us. "He's a glutton for punishment." Knockout smirked, Breakdown chuckled evilly. I glared at me, pulling out my blasters again, trying to block them from Bulkhead. "Do you think you can beat us all alone?" Knockout asked.
Suddenly I saw a ground-bridge open up behind them, I smiled, "I'm never alone." Driving through the bridge came Dad, Arcee, and Bumblebee, who transformed in the air. Firing their blasters at the cons.
"Fight?" Breakdown asked Knockout.
"Mm. Dive." Knockout suggested, the two of them transformed and fled.
Starscream, who had recovered from being punched in the face, tried to attack the Autobots, but seeing he was out numbered, he too had to retreat. I watched as he transformed and flew off. The others rushed over to us, with worried faces. I turned back around falling to me knees, looking at Bulkhead to see if he was still online. Thankfully he was, but just barley, "Hey..." he groaned.
It took all our strength to carry Bulkhead through the bridge back to base, Ratchet had a energon transfusion ready from him. It would take a few hours, but he was gonna make full recovery. I leaned over the railing, keeping my eye on the big lug, "How you feelin Bulk?"
"I'll feel better once the room stops spinning..." Bulkhead groaned, laying down on the stretcher.
I heard Dad walking over. Turning around I frown and bow my head, "Sorry we couldn't save the harvester Dad... And, sorry I went against your wishes. But Ratchet said I could go." I pointed at the medic, who had just finished the replica. Ratchet gapped at me, in shock that I called him out.
Dad looked at his friend, then back at me, he lightly sighed, but smiled, "I'm just relived you're ok."
"I got a hold of him!" Raf shouted excitedly. I rushed over to his laptop, seeing that Fowler finally answered.
"What's going on?!" He shouted on the monitor, "What is so important that you had to pull me away from my training?" Fowler barked, clearly not happy.
"Agent Fowler, we require a retrieve and rescue," Dad explained.
"What?"
"The Deceptions had stolen a Autotbot artifact that a museum had holding without knowing what it was," I then explained, "It... exploded, and Miko got caught by security for trying to help us."
"We need you to return the replica, and pull Miko from holding." Dad finished.
There was a pause, followed by an irritated sigh, "Alright. Deliver the item to the museum, and meet me there. I will handle security and get Miko."
"I'm coming too." Bulkhead said, standing up from the stretcher.
"You sure about that, big guy?" I asked.
"I'm fine, I need to be there for her," He took a stead step, trying not to fall over again.
I smiled, "Ok, but you come right back and finish your transfusion."
Bulkhead chuckled, "You got it Spark." he ruffled his finger on my hair. As Ratchet handed him the replica, and opened the ground-bridge, Bulkhead took one last look at me, "And Nora, thanks for help back there. Wouldn't gotten out if it wasn't for you."
I smiled, me cheeks slightly blushing, "You're welcome, big guy."
