A/N- Another shorty. I like writing this way, I can focus on a certain scene I want played out and this is exactly that, a single scene. I could throw in a page break and start writing the stuff for the next chapter, but that'd make picking a chapter title a little more difficult. Its not that I won't do that kind of page break stuff but I'll do that when it feels natural and right now having the next part as a separate chapter feels more natural. And dang! 900 more views to the story just yesterday. I forget what happens when a story gets updated. Thank you all for making it this far and for those of you who've stayed around for the 5 years since I originally posted this story, you're fucking crazy. Get help. As always, I love reading feedback so please review! I read everything.

Percy was bond, gagged, and dragged to the commanders tent. The outside was near indistinguishable from the rest of the tents, besides the armed guards outside the entrance. The interior contained very little in terms of affixes. The only furniture being a desk and chair on one side, a small cot just like any other and a large plushy dog bed. There were two large dogs sleeping together on it. One was siler, the other was gold. Upon entering, the two metallic dogs woke up from their nap and playfully ran to Reyna. She gave them a questioning look but after a quick pat she sat down in the lone chair and the two canines took positions flanking either side of her.

"Leave us." Reyna demanded. Percy's escort saluted and quickly exited the tent. "The guards too!" She hollered after them. She waited until the sound of clanking armor disappeared before she addressed Percy. "Who are you?" She demanded.

"My name is Perseus Jackson, but just call me Percy." He replied.

"Where did you come from?"

"I came from the North." Percy stated.

"Who sent you?"

"Lupa."

Reyna stole a glance at the silver dog to her right, but the thing was as still as a statue. "Why did you come here?"

"For survival."

"Who are you affiliated with?"

"I belong to the Pack." Percy declared. At this, Reyna's eyes grew suspicious and fully turned her head to the golden mutt, but it still stood as if a statue. If Percy had not seen them greet their master so lifelike, he would have assumed they really were statues.

"Well it appears you are not a liar, at least." Reyna said. "But you are a thief." She spat at Percy and threw a ring on the table. The ring had a crescent moon depicted as a drawn bow with an arrow knocked on a field of onyx black.

"My ring!" Percy exclaimed, reaching for it on reflex. However, Reyna was faster. She snatched it back up. She glanced at the dogs again, still nothing.

"This ring is a symbol to those who belong to the Hunt. A group of elite warriors lead by the goddess Luna herself. It is a well-known fact that only maidens are allowed to join the ranks of her hunt. How'd you come by this?"

"I don't really know; I woke up with it on in the middle of the woods almost three weeks back."

"Woke up?"

"Ah, yeah. Isn't that normally what happens around here?"

"Explain. Everything." Reyna demanded.

"Well I woke up in the woods and the only thing I could remember was my name. Before I knew it, these two wolves appeared in front of me and lead me to Lupa. She explained that I was a demigod and I had to travel to New Rome for safety. After a couple of weeks with her Pack they sent me on my way."

"You don't remember anything before that?"

"Not a thing."

"Do me a favor please." Reyna said. "Tell me a lie."

"You're eyes aren't weirdly shaped." Percy replied instantly, a cheese eating grin plastered on his face. The two silver and gold dogs started growling at him the instant he said it.

"So it appears Lupa's blessing doesn't fool them, but they are reluctant to attack you. Finally, why did you attempt to run away from the hospital tent."

"I was in an unknown environment under guard. I had to verify that there wasn't any hostile intent towards me."

"As expected of one who is a recognized member of the Pack." Reyna stated. "You appear very skilled, more skilled than you should be after only a couple of weeks trained by Lupa. You are on the older side of our new recruits, but not unheard of. Your godly lineage must not be that potent." Percy felt that Reyna had just insulted him badly, but she didn't pause long enough for him to rebut. "You still need to be trained. You operate alone decent enough. You would not have made it here otherwise. Our two underpass guards said you killed a minitour with your bare hands. Impressive. But that crap ends here. That is not how Romans do things. We work together to crush all who oppose us. I'm assigning you to our training unit. If you perform well, you'll get reassigned to a more fitting position. Understood."

"Yes, ma'am." Percy replied.

"That wasn't a question." Reyna steeled her voice and her eyes. "I don't like you, Perseus. I don't think you belong here. Ask the first guard you see for directions to the training battalion. You start today. Dismissed."

A/N- Disappointingly short, I know. But short chapters = short waits? maybe? Who knows. But I want to get a decent amount of progress before I go MIA again. Hopefully I won't but knowing my track record... yeah.
