Ex-Princess of Anarchy
A/N: I promise I will always warn when there is smut…..ok I promise to try and warn when there is smut…. There is no smut in this one…hopefully
Scarlett woke the next morning to Jax pulling her closer to him in his sleep. She couldn't help but smile the motion and snuggled back into his body.
"You keep doing that and we will be going for another round," he murmured as he nuzzled into her neck.
"Jackson Teller!" she laughed at him as she turned to face him. "Behave yourself my prince. There will be plenty of time for that," she smirked looking up at him.
"You are staring," he smirked.
"I am gazing," she smiled.
"It is creepy," he responded.
"Fine then. I will just get up," she responded as she pulled the comforter off her and moved to get out of bed. Jax wrapped his arms tighter around her waist and pulled her back to him.
"Go back to sleep. We had a long night," he murmured.
"I know we did, but I have to get to Teller-Morrow, and I have papers to finish," she said gently before giving him a small peck on the lips. "And seeing as you are my protection my dear prince, that means you must get up too."
He groaned as he moved his pillow to cover his face.
"I guess I will just have to shower alone," she whispered in his ear before moving off the bed and quickly to the bathroom. She didn't even have to turn around to know that Jax was following closely behind her.
"Jesus Christ Jax!" she yelled as she saw herself in the mirror. "I don't think there is enough coverup in the world to cover all these up."
"I may have gotten carried away, just a little bit," he smirked as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Oh, honey, you passed a little bit," she grimaced at him. "I look like I was beaten with a small object."
"I can give you more, make you one walking love mark," he murmured against her neck, causing every hair to stand on end and her breath to hitch.
"We, good prince, are just showering. If we start again, I fear Gemma will come hunting us," she says as she steps out of his arms and turns the shower on.
"Come on darling," his gruff voice came grabbing her elbow and spinning her around, kissing her forcefully.
"Jax," she smirked into the kiss.
"Try again darling," he sneered, and she pulled back to see Connor standing in front of her.
"No!" she shouted pushing him away. "Jax!"
"He can't hear you darling," he said grasping her wrists and pulling her to him.
"No! What did you do?!" she shouted fighting against him. "Let me go! Jax!"
"Shut up bitch!" he yelled slapping her across the face. She landed against the door and opened it quickly, running towards the bedroom.
"Jax!" she yelled throwing the door open. She screamed in terror when she saw Jax on the bed, covered in blood and not moving. "No!" she ran over to him. "Jax! Look at me Jax! Open your eyes! Come on Baby!" she shouted as she attempted CPR. "Come on Jax! Breath!"
"Ok that is enough of that," Connor said as he crossed the room and pulled her off of Jax.
"No!" she screamed fighting against him. "NO! HELP! SOMEONE HELP ME!" He pulled her into the hall and towards the front door.
"Come on dear. It is time to head back home and start the rest of our lives together," he laughed as he dragged her down the hall.
She kept kicking and fighting every step. She grabbed onto everything she could and held on for life only for him to pull her harder. She kept calling for help and screaming for Jax, but no one answered. It was like no one could hear. She could see Jax's neighbors out the window, but they just went about their day. She vaguely heard someone calling her name and she continued to scream for help as she searched for the voice as it became louder.
"Scar!" it called. "Scarlett! Wake up! Wake up baby!" The voice became more urgent and she felt like she was being shaken. "Scarlett, wake up baby! You are having a nightmare."
"No!" she screamed as she shot up in bed. She looked around completely panicked.
"Breathe baby. I am right here," Jax's voice came as he placed his hands on her face and rubbed his thumb across her cheekbones.
"Jax?" she breathed.
"I am here. It was just a nightmare Scar," he said looking into her eyes.
"It was…it was Connor…he killed you…he was…he was…." She stuttered between tears before completely breaking. Jax pulled her into his arms and gently rubbers her back with his hands as he kissed her hair.
"Shhh darling. I am right here. I am safe. I won't let Connor hurt you," he mumbled into her hair. "Its ok. I am right here. It was just a nightmare." Jax's cell phone rang and Scarlett just about jumped out of her skin.
"It's just Happy," he said as he opened his phone to answer it. "Hello. We are ok. I know, Scarlett was just having a nightmare. Thanks for checking brother. I'll talk to you tomorrow."
"Is he outside?" she mumbled into his chest.
"Yes, he heard you screaming and wanted to check in. If I hadn't answered my phone he probably would have busted in the door," Jax half laughed as he continued to rub circles on her back. "Do you want to talk about it?" She simply shook her head in response as she let tears fall down her face.
"I've got you. I've got you baby. It's ok," he whispered gently to her over and over.
"Jax," she whispered after some time had passed. "I don't know how much longer I can do this."
"What do you mean darling?" he asked as he ran his fingers through her hair.
"I feel like I am going to lose my mind. Even when he was in prison, I felt like I was always slightly on guard. But now, he is out and there is no protective order. He could show up wherever he wants and face no consequences," she explained pushing off his chest to sit up. She ran her hands across her face as she visibly shivered.
"Scar, I am not going to let anything happen to you. You will always be around at least me. The club can figure out protection. If I have to teach you how to fire a gun, I will," he said calmly as he handed her his hoodie off the floor. She simply nodded as she pulled it over her head, taking a deep breath in of Jax's scent of leather and cigarettes.
"I am going to go grab a glass of water," she said as she slid off the bed and padded into the kitchen.
She quietly pulled a glass from the cabinet and filled it with water. As she stood in the kitchen she let tears slide down her face. She noticed the dishes in the sink from dinner and turned the water back on to wash them.
"I can do those in the morning," Jax's voice came, causing her to jump and turn around.
"Jesus Jax," she gasped with her hand on her chest. "Don't scare me like that."
"Sorry darling," he said seriously as he placed his hands on her hips. "I guess I failed my challenge because you can clearly walk straight," he whispered in her ear before grazing it with his teeth. Her breath hitched slightly but she quickly turned her attention back to the dishes in the sink.
"Hey," he said softly reaching around her and tuning off the water. "Talk to me Scar." He turned her around to face him and he held her hands gently in his.
"How does this end Jax? How does this ordeal with Connor end? He has made it perfectly clear that if he can't have me no one can. I can't put you or Abel in that kind of danger. It is all my fault you are even in his cross hairs. I don't even know if he truly believed me when I said Abel isn't mine," she rambled on, not looking him in the face.
"Hey," he said as he gently lifted her chin so he could look her in the eyes. "Even if we weren't together, I would make sure you are safe. If we had found out about Connor when this was going on, we would have come up and dealt with him, even if it was just Ope and me. You are a huge part of my life Scar. I have never felt anything like what I feel with you for anyone. What we have is different. Fuck Connor. Let him try and come after me. He won't get very close. I can easily defend myself. And if he comes near Abel, he will wish he was dead because you have met my mother, she won't play when it comes to his safety. Let him try and show up at the club. I am sure Happy and Tig will have some fun with that one."
"I know you are trying to cheer me up and have me relax, but I can't right now Jax. That nightmare was too real," she sighed as tears began to fall steadily.
"But it was just that. It was just a dream. It wasn't real," he said wiping away her tears. "Come here." He pulled her into a gently embrace and stood there while she cried.
"He killed you Jax," she said after a few minutes of quiet. "He killed you while we were asleep, and I didn't realize until he kissed me before I got into the shower." She pulled away from him and looked him in the eye. "It was so real Jax. When I ran into the bedroom and you were dead on the bed, I could almost smell the blood. And then he grabbed me and drug me out of the house kicking and screaming."
"I am not dead. I am right here in front of you. I am not going anywhere. I think you should stay here with me for a while, and if it will make you feel better I can have Gemma install some extra locks on the doors," he said as he pressed his forehead to hers. She nodded her head in response and took a deep breath. "Let's get you back to sleep."
"I am too awake to sleep now," she said pulling back from him.
"I know something that will make you tired," Jax smirked at her pulling her towards him by her hips.
"You are insatiable Mr. Teller," she gasped at him.
"No, you are a drug and I am addicted to you baby," he smirked as he started to pepper kisses on her jawline.
"That was corny as hell and I should deny you based on that," she laughed.
"Oh, come one darling. You did challenge me earlier," he responded before biting at her pulse point and making her gasp.
"You are taking the challenge very serious sir. But if you leave one more mark on my body, I cam going to have to murder you. I only have so much coverup," she smirked.
"As you wish my lady," he smirked back before grabbing her hand and pulling her towards the bedroom..
"Wait, Happy is outside the door," she laughed.
"What do you think you won't be able to be quiet? You will need to learn for when Abel comes home," he laughed.
"Teller," she said stepping closer to him and whispering in his ear. "We both know that you want to make me scream as loud as I can as you make me come undone." Jax looked at her with wide eyes and a smirk.
"I got this!" he said as he opened the front door and stuck his head out. "Happy, any screams for the next few hours, ignore. I plan on making Scarlett scream as loud as humanly possible for a few hours." Happy started laughing as Scarlett hit Jax along the back of the head.
"What? I am just telling Happy to not worry about you screaming from me fucking you so hard that you can't walk straight," he laughed glancing back at her.
"You have no class sometimes Teller," she said before she started to walk in the living room.
"That isn't the bedroom," he smirked as he closed the door.
"Oh, I thought it was. My mistake," she teased before rolling her eyes.
"Oh, now you are getting it," he laughed as he walked over and scooped her up bridal style.
"Jax put me down!" she said sternly.
"I will. Make no mistake about that. I will put you down and then I will go down," he said as he walked her towards the bedroom.
"Jackson Teller, you truly know the way to seduce a girl," she smirked as she laced her fingers into his hair and pulled him into a deep kiss, stopping him in his tracks.
"I don't know if that was a compliment or sarcasm," he whispered against her lips.
"A little of both," she mumbled before biting his bottom lip. "Now take me to bed my prince, and do not be princely about what we do in bed."
"As you wish princess," he smirked before kicking the door open enough to let them into the room.
