Chapter 15: Flight School

The Batmobile which contained the heroes was approaching the casino where Riddler said his next test was. Alfred then appeared on the Batmobile's screen and asked, "How's it coming along, sir?". "We're approaching his next trial in Kingston now. He's been toying with us so far, enjoying the sense of control. I doubt he'll be playing games for much longer.", Batman answered. "Heaven knows how his insanity has manifested itself this time. Again, best of luck, sir.", Alfred said before he went off. The car approached another elevator door with a question mark that was labeled "Flight School". The door opened and then the car drove in the elevator. The door closed behind it and then it started to go down. Then Riddler appeared on the wall and said, "Oh, Detective! I can't tell you how pleased I am that you and your friends are playing along in my little game. You literally cannot imagine what it's like to be so intellectually removed from the rest of the human race. I couldn't honestly say you offer me a battle of wits, Dark Knight, but your feeble resistance makes a pleasant change from the instant capitulation of everyone else.". He then went off and the elevator came to a stop. The door opened and the Batmobile drove forward until it came to a stop. They saw in front of them, a pressure pad on the wall, but water was separating them from it. "Oh, dear, Dark Knight, what a pity you couldn't bring the Batwing to this one.", Riddler said. "So, what do we do on this one?", asked Sven. Batman thought for a second and then said, "I have an idea. You guys just stay in the car and I'm gonna drive backwards and then forwards as fast as possible and eject myself so I can glide with ease to that pad on the wall.", Batman explained. "Sounds good.", Jacob said to his mentor. Batman then backed the car up a bit and then went full speed forward. Right before they were about to go off road, Batman ejected out of the car and flew towards the pad to put pressure on it. He then dropped down to the ground below. Just then, the caged wall to the left front of him opened revealing the next pad to hit. Batman then grappled back to where his car and friends were. He then got back in the car and was getting ready to back up again. "What are you doing? I thought you hit it?", Olaf asked. "I did, but there's another one on the other side of this wall.", Batman said. "How are you going to do that?", Kristoff asked. "I'll eject myself again and then fly over to the one over there.", he explained. Batman then drove the car quickly forward after backing up and then ejected himself again. Batman started to fly forward, but then made a sharp turn to get over to the next pad. He successfully hit the pad before he lost his momentum. After he hit that one, another caged door opened right next to him that lead to the next pad. But he had to get through another one of those circular saw rotating tunnels like the ones he dealt with back in Arkham City the last time he was solving Riddler's death traps. But this time he couldn't use the line launcher, he had to glide through it. Batman then started to fly back towards the Batmobile, but he first had to dive and then get back on track so he wouldn't lose his momentum. He got back in the car as soon as he landed safely. "That's two down, Detective. Do be careful of the death-trap en route to the next one.", Riddler said. "What did he mean by that?", Elsa asked. "There's one more to hit, but I after to glide through a rotating saw tunnel so I can get to it.", Batman said. "Oh, God! Please be careful!", Elsa said sounding concerned. "Don't worry, Elsa. I've dealt with harder challenges than doing something as simple as that.", Batman assured her. Batman then backed the car and then revved it forward again and fast. Batman then ejected himself and started to glide. He made the same sharp turn as last time and turned again in front of the tunnel. He easily flew through the saw tunnel without taking a scratch. As soon as he got out of the tunnel, he made another turn a little downward to hit the next pad. He easily landed on the pressure pad. After he hit that, another caged door opened which led to where the Batmobile and the rest were. He then flew back to them and landed on the ground. "Bats, the only mammals capable of flight! But since all you do is glide, you're actually a variety of squirrel.", Riddler said. Batman then saw that another pressure pad where he sees which key the girls should get. He went over to that and then stood on it. A series of lights showed where were red but one that was green. Batman messaged Catwoman to tell her which glass cabinet that appeared in front of both her and Anna to choose. "More cabinets. Great I love this part.", said Anna. The girls then walked over to the one that Batman said had the right key in it. "Ok, time to possibly, maybe die.", Catwoman said as she used her claws to cut open the glass. She grabbed the key and used it on herself. After that, she gave it to Anna and she then used it on herself. After they both were done, Anna threw away the key. "Well, this is not how I wanted to spend my night.", Catwoman said. "You're the one who's talking! I was just about to go to bed before that psychopath and his robots grabbed me!", Anna said. "Well, I was going to go rob some museums and not spend my night with a bomb around my neck and being stuck with someone as annoying as you.", Catwoman said. "And I didn't want to spend my night with someone as rude as you.", Anna said. "Oh, that hurts, sweetie. Really does.", Catwoman said sarcastically. "Another key collected! I trust you're not giving them false hope, heroes!", Riddler said on the wall. Just then, another door became bright green. This one was titled "Intro to Physics". "Oh good. More fun.", Selina said. Back under the casino, Batman got back in the car where his allies were and began to drive to the exit. The car got inside the elevator and it then started to go up. Riddler appeared again and said, "Well, Dar Knight Detective, you have passed another test. I cannot help but admire the spirit with which you and your simple-minded friends have thrown yourself into a task for which you are woefully under-equipped. I almost feel guilty when I contemplate what's coming. But not so guilty that I'm going to call it off. Head back to the orphanage, heroes. Another one of my riddle rooms is waiting.". He then went off and the elevator came to a stop. The door opened and the car drove out of it back towards the orphanage once more.
