After saying good night to Wilkson, Sonic and Lara left the museum, holding hands together and thinking about the buzzing excitement within them. When morning came, it was going to be the biggest day ever.

Walking through the districts of London, the two lovers looked around for the perfect restaurant to get a meal from and eventually found and decided on the one restaurant with neon lights that caught their eyes: Bob's Diner.

Walking across the street, Sonic approached the black-suited, mustached waiter standing just outside the door, who said in a crisp Welsh accent, "Welcome to Bob's Diner, is there anything I can do for you, sir?"

"Hey!" The blue blur replied with a wave, "Sonic the Hedgehog, hero of the world, here on a dinner date with archeologist Lara Croft. Think you can get us a table where we can eat dinner and be alone with no prying eyes."

"Ah, of course," The waiter replied, "If you two follow me, I will escort the two of you to your table, is there anything we can give you to eat? Chili dogs, burger, stake, vegetables or would you like to have some soup?"

"Chili dogs and stake for us." Lara replied as she and the blue hero followed the waiter inside the restaurant, "Two chili dogs for Sonic and a stake for me, maybe I could have a chili dog too, I never tried one before."

Inside the restaurant, waiters and waitresses wandered about, giving out food to patient customers sitting at their tables decorated in blue, white and red in the style of the well-known Union Jack flag of England itself.

A widescreen TV hanging from the ceiling was on, showing footage of a baseball game before somebody clicked a remote and then the channel changed to a news channel where a newscaster was talking about the weather.

"Way past cool restaurant." Sonic said as he took in the scene, "This is nothin' like the other diners and restaurants I've visited during any of my previous dates with my ex-girlfriends."

"You have to tell me about a couple of your old flames some time, Sonic." Lara remarked, "I know you and Montana Jane were a couple, but I'd love to know about who your first girlfriend was and what she was really like."

As the waiter lead the two lovebirds to their seat, Sonic told her he would talk about some of his previous flames later but, for right now, he would say that his first girlfriend, was a very nice girl who knew how to kick butt.

"Wow!" Lara exclaimed with a low voice, "I'm hardly surprised that some of your ex-crushes were tomboys like me and Monta… I mean, Alice. I guess they weren't up for crazy exciting adventures, huh?"

A brown haired waitress walked up. "Chili dogs and stake?" She asked.

"Yes please." Sonic replied.

"Oh and don't forget drinks." Lara added, "We could do with some milk."

"You do have money and will pay us, right?" The waitress asked.

"Of course." Lara said politely, she and Sonic showed her the Ratakyan coins they had in their pockets. When the waitress got curious, they said the coins were a thousand dollars each and would pay 10 bucks for the food.

"Ok," she said, "Excellent, we're all set. Just let us get your food."

The waitress left, writing down the orders on a piece of paper.

It wasn't long before the waiter arrived with Sonic and Lara's orders, three chili dogs and a stake for each of them, the blue blur got two chili dogs and Lara got one chili dog along with her stake as they had requested.

As for their drinks, they got their milk. After the waiter left, the two lovebirds began eating, the speedy heroic speedster sinking his teeth into the delicious chili-covered bun containing hot dogs that tasted so good.

Lara ate a bit of her chili dog before cutting up some of her stake with a knife and took a couple bites of it, then finished her chili dog just as Sonic finished eating his first chili dog and scarfed down the second, letting out a small belch.

"Sorry." The hedgehog apologized, covering his mouth.

"Its fine, Sonic." Lara assured him, "It wasn't gaseous like farting." Sonic drank his milk to wash down the flavor of the chili dogs and sighed happily, tonight was a great night.

"And how was your meal?" The waitress had returned to check on them.

"It was good, really good." Lara replied, "I love the stake, excellent cooking, and the chili dog tasted great. I should eat another chili dog sometime, maybe eat more of them from time to time if I want to do so."

"We are happy to be of service." The waitress said with a nod as she cleared up the plates and glasses to be washed, "Feel free to come back at any time." Sonic and Lara nodded, telling her they would come again one day.

The two left the restaurant and the blue blur scooped up his brunette girlfriend in his arms before zipping back to the mansion in the countryside where Tom, Oskar, Tails and Sarah were waiting for them.

"How did it go, guys?" Tails asked, "Are the Senga Tabbies happy and is the curator of the museum thrilled to have the Yujunaka Statue?"

"We delivered the cats to the local animal shelter, gave the statue to the museum and Lara and I just had our first date at a sweet diner in the city just a short while ago." Sonic said, "And yes, the curator was pleased."

"In fact," Lara added, "The statue will be unveiled to the public and we're to be there to take credit for finding the statue. So, I think we should all try to get a good night's sleep, because tomorrow's gonna be a big day for us."

"Why wouldn't it?" Sarah remarked, "You two delivered the statue to the museum and me, Tails and Oskar were with you all the way and were there when we found the statue. We deserve credit where its due as well."

As the clock hit 10:00 P.M. Sonic and Lara said good night to Tails, Sarah and Oskar as they headed off to bed, even Tom was going to bed as well as he'd just put on his pajamas, today had been a long day and a great one at that.

If there was one thing Sonic and Lara were proud of and would be proud of for a long time, it was succeeding in getting the Senga Yujunaka statue.

Sonic carried Lara all the way to her room, halter style, the two of them sharing a romantic kiss. Once they got there, Lara changed into a white gown and the hedgehog changed into a pair of boxers as they got ready for bed.

Climbing under the covers, the adventurous couple turned out the lights and closed their eyes, ready for tomorrow and whatever happened afterwards...
