Two weeks later

Dear Hermione,

I apologise for not responding to your last letter, the dragons we were waiting on actually arrived sooner than expected and since then it's been mayhem trying to get them settled. You would love the reserve here, like the Romanian reserve it's hidden in the mountains. The scenery would take your breath away, and if you had the time you would be able to spend hours just sitting on a cliff edge as you watched the sun shine across the towns and cities. I must show you some time.

I know that you're now back at Hogwarts, by the time this letter reaches you, classes may have already begun. If that is the case, I hope your classes are going well and you haven't had too much homework yet. Tell McGonagall that her star seeker (before Harry of course) says hello. Did I ever mention that it was McGonagall who got me interested in working with Dragons? It was one of the pamphlets she showed me during our career meetings and I had to say, after hearing her speak about the reserve and the people there, I could never have imagined working at a different job.

Has much changed at Hogwarts? I hope you haven't had too much bother as Head Girl yet either, at least the Twins aren't there anymore and you don't have to deal with their shenanigans! Even Bill had a hard time with them when he was Head Boy, and he was usually quite lenient with them too.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Charlie,

Dear Charlie,

No apologies needed, I'm sure that your new position has been keeping you quite busy, especially with the new dragons arriving ahead of their schedule. I do hope their arrival went smoothly and there weren't any hiccups!

It sounds like a wonderful and enchanting place to be, I've always wanted to see a dragon reserve, so maybe one day I'll get to visit you there and see how beautiful it is for myself. You certainly have a way with words, you've painted such a vivid image for me and just picturing it in my mind takes my breath, so thank you.

Classes have just started and they seem to be going well for the most part right now, Ginny and I are taking most of the same classes as each other so I have someone familiar by my side. Although she's not the only familiar face around her; Draco Malfoy has returned to Hogwarts and he just so happens to be Head Boy. This year is going to be interesting to say the least, we haven't spoken but I have noticed him looking in my direction a few times, looking quite ashamed and guilty. If Ron and Harry knew they would be telling me to give him a repeat of what happened in 3rd year.

I'll certainly pass on your well wishes to Professor McGonagall, I'm sure she'd be quite pleased to hear from you again. I don't think you have told me that story before, next time we see each other I'd most definitely like to hear how your career meeting went, she does seem to know all of her students and their best subjects extremely well, so it doesn't surprise me that she was able to help guide you into your dream career.

Hogwarts hasn't changed a bit, even after it being rebuilt, it's the same old Hogwarts I know and love. All the paintings have been restored and it just feels like home again, the warmth and light has been brought back. I'm pretty sure if you were to come for a stroll around the castle you'd still be able to find your way around.

You make a very valid point Mr Weasley, I don't know what I would do if the Twins were still here, I'm sure I would be grey by the time we graduated. Although I didn't approve of their methods when they were here, doesn't mean I didn't appreciate their talent for making such amazing pranks. I'm glad they're finally living their dream in their joke shop, I don't think I've seen two people love their job more than the twins. It doesn't surprise me that Bill was lenient on them, he always did love a good prank, and with yourself too. That's right Charlie, your Mother and siblings have all told me how you and Bill were the pranksters of the family before the twins came along. I'd love to hear some more stories about your pranking days some time soon.

As always, I eagerly await your reply.

Hermione
