101 Dalmatian Street: The Wrong Bus

Visiting relatives was always a mixed bag with people. Some find it fun to visit extended family, some flat out dreaded it. For the Dalmatian family, it was definitely a fun experience. The day had finally come for the Dalmatian family reunion and let me tell you, everything was going according to plan.

"Bus is here!" Dolly called.

"Alright, kids! Single file." Doug instructed and all the pups obeyed.

One by one, the dogs boarded the bus and took their seats.

"...98, 99, 100, 101." Dylan counted. "All present and accounted for!"

He then boarded himself. As soon as they bus doors closed, they set off on their journey. A few minutes into their journey, everyone decided to keep themselves occupied to pass the time. Dawkins was reading an article on his tablet, Deepak started meditating, DJ was listening to music, many were napping, etc. Dolly stared out of the window in boredom and just randomly decided to let someone know.

"I'm bored!" She complained.

"Where have I heard that before?" Dylan asked sarcastically.

"Hey, Mom. How long until we're at Uncle Disney's house?" Dolly asked.

"We should be about two hours away." Delilah responded.

"Ugh, this is gonna be a long ride." Dolly groaned.

"I concur." Dawkins said, dreading the thought of hearing Dolly complain the whole time.

Suddenly, the skies went dark as thunder and lightning boomed and flashed outside.

"Huh, the news didn't say anything about stormy weather." Doug remarked confused.

Meanwhile in the back, Deepak was shivering under his seat and whimpering. A second later, the Dmitris looked under their seat.

"Hey, Kitty Boy. Afraid of the weather?" Dmitri 1 asked.

"No, I got over that. Remember?" Deepak reminded them.

"Then what's up with you?" Dmitri 3 asked.

"I've been picking up some bad energy around here and I don't know what's emitting it." He explained with a gulp. "And you three are being awfully nice."

"Eh, I guess we're just not feeling it today." Dmitri 2 shrugged. "Trust us, we're weirded out by this too."

Back in front of the bus, Doug decided to tell the driver to stop due to the bad weather. However, no matter how hard Doug tried to get his attention, the driver paid him no mind and kept driving. In fact, the bus seemed to speed up.

"Sir, are you deaf? My husband said we need to turn around! This weather is horrible!" Delilah barked.

"We don't turn around." The driver said in a gravely voice.

The Dalmatians shivered at the sound of the driver's voice as he continued and the weather outside got worse.

"And no one gets off until I say so." He droned.

A few seconds later, they started to hear demonic screeching outside the bus. They looked outside to see the trees they were passing were growing deader and the ground started to turn ash gray. Furthermore, a veil of mist started to envelope the bus.

"Guys, this freaking me out!" DJ gulped.

"I've seen paintings like this!" Da Vinci exclaimed as she saw the wasteland.

"What's going on?!" Destiny cried.

"Where are we going?!" Dallas added.

"Who are you?!" Deja vu finished.

A sick grin spread across the driver's face and, without even looking at them, he spoke.

"Welcome to Purgatory." He rasped as he pointed at a sign. "Always read the sign."

The dogs screamed at his words and panicked as many pounded on the glass, all the while the driver laughed maniacally. In the midst of their freak out, Dylan and Dolly found Dante, calmly sitting in his seat and reading a book.

"Dante, why aren't you freaking out?!" Dolly asked.

"I just knew this would happen." Dante said. "No point trying to get off."

"We hate you sometimes." Dylan deadpanned as they continued to drive into the void.
