"Wow, the garden is beautiful!" Charlie exclaimed. The hotel gardens were all decorated and picnic blankets were set up on the grass, all underneath a red, moonlit sky. Next to the blankets were tables with more food.
"Come my dear! We have that blanket over there," said Alastor pointing to one of the blankets. Everyone grabbed food off the tables and went to sit on a blanket until only one empty blanket was left. Angel and Vaggie had to share that blanket.
"So uh, sure is nice out here. Isn't it Vags?" asked Angel, trying to make conversation.
"Yeah it's nice," Vaggie shrugged.
"Also, really nice performance back there Vaggie, really liked the song." Vaggie smiled.
"Thanks, it kind of reminded me of you." Vaggie blushed at what she just said, as did Angel. " Maldito idiota! Why would you say that?!" Vaggie thought to herself.
"She's been thinking about me! Now's my chance!" Angel thought. "Oh, that's sweet of you Vaggie. Listen, I want to tell you something."
Meanwhile, Charlie and Nifty were watching the two.
"What's the matter Charlie?" asked Alastor.
"Ugh, one of them has got to make a move sooner or later," Charlie groaned, still looking at Vaggie and Angel. Alastor looked at them as well.
"Oh! I think Angel's going for it!" Nifty tried to whisper.
"Listen Vaggie I-" Angel struggled to find his words.
"Yes!" Charlie and Nifty cheered.
"You see the thing is that I really-"

Everyone else was now staring at Angel with dissatisfaction.

"Pardon me Vaggie. Angel, can we talk? Now?" Alastor asked pulling Angel aside.
"Doesn't look like you're giving me much of a choice. I'll be right back Vags." Angel was yanked away from Vaggie.
"What in the Nine Circles was that Angel?!" said Alastor.
"I don't know what your talking about," said Angel confused.
"We're talking about Vaggie. Angel, we know you like her," said Charlie. Angel blushed.
"Yeah? So what if I do?!"
"Come on Angel, you need to show her how you really feel. I can't watch you two be in the friend zone much longer!" said Cherri.
"Well, how can I do that?! I can't tell her because I always say something stupid!" Angel slapped his forehead.
"Then don't express with words Angel. Actions do speak louder after all," Mimzy said.
"Wait, what are you guys suggesting I do?" asked Angel. Nifty put an arm around Angel and started singing.

"OKAY FINE! I'll do it!" Angel shouts after everyone stops singing. He takes a deep breath and walks over to Vaggie. "Vaggie, I have something important to tell you." Vaggie turns to Angel.
"Hm?"
"I-I..." Angel turns to look at everyone. They encourage him to keep going. he sighed. "Please don't kill me Vaggie."
"What are you talking abo-" Vaggie was cut off by Angel's lips being gently pressed against hers. She looked at Angel, wide eyed.
"I really like you Vaggie, more than friends," Angel said confidently. "And I was wondering if we could be more than just friends." Vaggie blushed deeply. Angel liked her? The same way she liked him?
"Angel I... I really like you too." Vaggie smiled and cupped Angel's face in her hands. She then pulled him in for a kiss. Everyone cheered for the two. Once they broke the kiss, Vaggie spoke once more. "But you see, I'm not really ready to date yet. Still trying to forget about what's-her-face." Angel chuckled at the nickname she gave Amelia.
"Sure toots, I understand." Angel smiled at Vaggie who returned it. Charlie came over to hug Vaggie. Alastor walked over to Angel and patted him on the shoulder.
"Romance really is in the air, isn't it?" Mimzy said with a smile.
"This is too much affection for me to handle," Husk grumbled. "I'm going back inside." Nifty grabs Husk's arm.
"Come on Husky, everyone needs a little love. Even a grumpy kitty like you." She then hugs his ankles. Husk blushed and grumbled. Charlie and Alastor looked lovingly into each others eyes as they held hands under the stars. Angel smirked at Vaggie.
"Wanna hold my hand Vaggie?" he said in a flirty tone. Vaggie punched him in the arm.
"Shut up," she laughed. Alastor's shadows then appeared and smiled at the happy couples. They started harmonizing while one of them sang.

"This was the best party I ever had," Charlie said with a smile.
"Indeed, I can say without a doubt that this party was a complete success! Though, there's one thing we forgot to check of dearie," said Alastor.
"What is it?" Alastor then pulled Charlie close.
"I think you know what it is," Alastor said in a flirty tone. Charlie giggled.
"Oh yeah, now I remember." Charlie and Alastor go in for a kiss when suddenly-
"Charlie..." a weak voice called out. Everyone turned to the entrance of the garden to see Lucifer being carried by Razzle and Dazzle. He looked gravely injured. Everyone was shocked.
"It's the king!" Angel yelled.
"Holy shit!" Husk exclaimed.
"Is he okay?" Nifty asked.
"Doesn't look like it. What happened to him?" Molly asked. Charlie and Alastor run over to the injured king.
"Dad!" Charlie hugged her father, tears in her eyes.
"Sir! What happened? Who did this to you?" Alastor asked worried. Lucifer coughed.
"It was... Sevanthian." Charlie and Alastor's eye's went wide. As did Angel's, Vaggie's, Molly's, and Cherri's.
"What have you done Nissy?" Molly whispered.
"Who?" Husk asked.
"My ex," Charlie said staring at the ground. She remembered a conversation she had a long time ago, about her ex.
"Whatever happened to your ex?" asked Angel.
"I'm not actually sure. We cut all communication with him and the rest of the Von Eldritch family after the party," said Charlie.
"Probably plotting his revenge," Alastor said jokingly. Everyone laughed, but Charlie took it to heart.
"What if he actually does come back?"
"He did come back for revenge. I knew this would happen! I should've done something about it!" Charlie said stressed. Alastor held her close.
"Charlie, be calm. You didn't know something like this would happen," he said in a calm voice. Charlie sighed, then realized.
"What happened to mom?" Charlie asked. Lucifer looked down at the ground and started crying.
"Your mother... couldn't make it. She's still with Sevanthian at my now overthrown palace. I... couldn't save her." Charlie started crying as well.
"But how? How did he overthrow the whole palace by himself?" asked Alastor.
"He had The Orb." Charlie and Alastor looked shocked.
"Wait, I thought it was-"
"It's not a myth Alastor. Trust me when I say it is very much real. And very deadly."
"Wait, back up for a minute!" Angel exclaimed. "The fuck is "The Orb", and why does it seem like a cheap plot device used to move a story forward? Pretty cliché if you ask me."
"Angel, no fourth wall breaking. That's my job," Alastor scolded.
"I'll explain it to all of you. But not out in the open," said Lucifer. "Let's get inside." Everyone makes their way inside.
