Paradise City, East District, year 2015
It was a bright day during spring. Happy laughing came from the courtyard of a special apartment complex were kids live who don´t have parents. Unlike a normal orphanage, here kids live in groups under the care of young but very responsible adults. ( One group consists of five kids between the age of one and eighteen, and two adults at age 22 or older. Each group has its own apartment ).
A toddler was sitting on a swing that hung from a big tree. It was a girl with long brown hair and a pink strand going through on the right side, dressed in an orange and pink dress. The girl was laughing happy and swinging with the swing while holding a Duel monster card in her right hand.
Standing not to far away and watching the girl were two teenagers.
"Morgan ! Be careful, and don´t go to far away, okay !" A teenage Junior Reigns shouted with a smile but Morgan didn´t seemed to intend to respond to him. She was having to much fun.
Junior sighed a bit. "Ah, that girl. Just that card is sufficient to make her happy."
"Indeed." Emma replied with a smile before both teens made their way towards a group of other teenagers that were standing on a parking spot. They all had large backpacks with them.
Morgan meanwhile was still enjoing herself as suddenly a strong blow of wind blew her card out of her hand and towards the near road. Morgan was surprised and got up from the swing. She then slowly walked towards her card which now lay on the road.
Junior put his backpack onto the ground. "At the end of my school trip, Morgan will be three years old."
"Then try to make sure she doesn´t forget you." Emma teased him a bit which made both of them laugh.
"This time she won´t cry." Junior replied before he looked back to the spot Morgan was playing only to see that she was no longer there. "Huh ? Where did she go ?"
"What ? She was still there a moment ago." Emma said as she looked over to the swing.
"What is she has gone to the road ?!" Junior said worried as he started to look around frantically. "Morgan ?!"
Emma also started to look around. Unknown to them, Morgan was now walking onto the road and picked up her card with a smile.
Junior and Emma were still searching along the courtry as a loud honk alerted them. They both gasped and quickly run towards the road. Once they reached it they saw to their horror that Morgan was right on the road as a large truck came towards her at fast pace.
"MORGAN ! NO !"

TURN 6 Avery LP 2300 Hand 3 / Morgan LP 2900 Hand 0
Morgan looked over her left shoulder as she kept running towards the temple. "Come on, Avery ! It´s your turn !"
Avery placed her fingers on her deck. "Fine. You asked for it. My turn !"
"Now I summon Yosenju Kama 1 !" A blue tornado appeared on the field and Kama 1 came out of it. ( ATK/1600 DEF/500 ) Avery grabbed two more cards from her hand. "And you know what that means. Thanks to his special ability I can summon Yosenju Kama 2, and then by using his ability I can also summon Yosenju Kama 3." The remaining Kama borthers appeared from a green and white tornado.
Kama 2 ATK/1800 DEF/200 / Kama 3 ATK/1500 DEF/800
"Next the effect of Yosen Training Grounds activates. For every Yosenju monster I summon I can light up a Yosen Counter." Three candles lit up. Nine from twelve candles now enlightens the shrine. Avery looked at Morgan. "While you were searching for an Action Card, I finished my preparations. Now it´s time to end this."
Morgan didn´t answer her since she finally reached the ruined temple. She looked around and found the staircase leading up. "Over there." She then ran around the large hole in the floor and run over to the staircase and run up it.
("I know that you´re trying to distract me from your two set cards, but that won´t happen.") Avery thought and then smiled. ("Kama 1´s effect won´t be enough to get ride of those set cards, but...") Avery held up her hand. "Now I activate Daibak´s special ability ! I return two cards on the field to the owner´s hand, so now say goodbye to your two face down cards !" A tornado appeared around Daibak´s horn and he unleashed it towards Morgan and Morgan covered her face while her two face down cards flew away before they shattered.
Morgan got a smile on her face. ("Alright. She did just as I wanted.")
Avery then held out her hand towards her continuous Trap. "Thanks to Dizzying Winds of Yosen Village, both of your face-down cards are returned to the deck instead of your hand. This means the end."
"No, it´s fine !" Morgan then jumped out of the hole in the roof of the temple and landed on it. She looked at Avery with a smile. "I hoped you would do exactly that." Avery looked shocked as she heard that. Morgan grabbed one of her face-down cards and showed her to Avery. It had the image of a shadow with a red question mark. "When this set card leaves the field via a card effect, all your monsters become nameless this turn."
"Say what ?" Avery looked down and saw how the names of her monsters disappeared from the cards. A video image of Avery appeared out of Morgan´s Duel Disk. "You planned this the whole time... how sneaky."
Morgan smiled and winked. "Dizzying Winds of Yosen Village´s effect doesn´t affect Yosenjus. However..."
"I see." Lynn said.
"Since Avery´s monsters are no longer Yosenjus, at the end of the turn due to Dizzying Winds´ effect they return to the deck instead of the hand." Brody said and then smiled.
Avery looked annoyed but then smiled a bit. "Not bad. Didn´t expected you would use such a card."
Morgan smiled as she held up a finger. "I used your own card´s effect against you."
"However, do you really think that you´ll last until the end of this turn ?" Avery asked, getting serious again. "I´ll end this Duel before then !"
Daibak at this jumped in front of her and laid down, allowing Avery to jump onto his back. "Let´s battle ! Daibak attacks you directly ! The others, follow it !" Daibak roared and surrounded himself with wind before he charged towards Morgan with the three Kama brothers right behind him.
"Avery launches an all-out attack ! She´s like a warrior attacking to take down a castle !" Nico Smiley shouted as Daibak jumped up towards the temple. The Kama brothers destroyed the drawbridge and followed quickly.
Morgan only grinned. "I won´t let it end like this !" She then made a backflip and so jumped into the hole on the tempel´s roof.
"End this !" Avery shouted and Daibak roared once more. He turned around and swung his tail and so sent a tornado towards the temple. Each Yosenju Kama then sent a wind strike towards the temple as well. Brody and Lynn both looked on in horror when they saw how the attack hit the temple and so forced it to collapse. "Morgan !" Both then shouted, fearing that Morgan had been crushed when the temple collapsed.
"You´ve lost, Morgan." Avery said as she looked down from Daibak´s back.
Suddenly they all heard the sound of snapping fingers. Everyone in the stadium looked up and saw a figure on top of a watch tower. Spotlights then fell on the tower and everyone saw Morgan standing on top of it with a smile on her face and with Lightning Mage beside her.
"What is that ? Morgan survived ?!" Nico shouted and the crowd shouted in excitment.
Avery looked at Morgan shocked. "No way. I know the direct attack succeeded."
"Did you really think I was running around without a plan in mind ?" Morgan asked with a small grin.
"She got an Action Card at the last possible second." Drake said.
"Not bad." Lucy said. "She figured out the location of an Action Card, and she invited Daibak to attack."
Brody sighed in relief and then smirked. "That girl, she really managed to survive that."
"I activated the Action Spell Big Escape ! It forces the battle to end !" Morgan said.
"You´re really someone." Avery said, accepting the situation. "And your Lightning Mage... how did you do it ?"
"Once I found the Action Card I knew I would survive your attack. However, I was unsure if I could get out of the direct attack all by myself so I asked a friend for some help." Morgan said.
"Your other Trap let you summon her, right ?" Avery asked.
"The card´s name is Soul Friendship. When it leaves the field due to an effect, in other words when you returned it to my hand earlier, I can summon a Pendulum monster from my deck. I summoned Lightning Mage and she got me out of there right before the temple collapsed." Morgan reveals.
"You really have faith in your monsters. That makes you a very special Duelist." Avery said.
"Yes, I have faith, but with Lightning Mage it is something more. I just feel that she will always be there to protect me. She was always there for me... ever since I was little." Morgan replied before meeting her warrior´s eyes. Lightning Mage nods and Morgan smiled before looking back at Avery. "And now that she is back with me, I know that I won´t lose." At this, Lightning Mage swung her sword to the side, showing that she was ready for everything.
"Morgan really loves Lightning Mage." Stacey said with a smile.
"Yes, she does. After all, it´s thanks to Lightning Mage that she is still alive." Emma replied.
"Huh ?" Both Stacey and Ethan said surprised.
"She grew up with that card. Lightning Mage has always been a part of Morgan´s life." Emma replied as she looked at them before looking up into the sky. "It was like a miracle."
/ FLASHBACK /
"Morgan ! No !" Junior yelled with horror while his baby sister stood on the road while a truck was closing in fast. The truck then tried to brake but it didn´t look like it could stop in time. That´s when a bright white light flashed and blinded Junior, Emma and the one driving the truck. Once the light faded, the truck stood still and Morgan sat safe and sound on the other side of the road. She made a surprising sound and looked up, not really understanding what just happened.
"Morgan ?!" Junior immediatly run over to his sister and picked her up. Emma sunk to her knees and held her hand over her mouth in shock. Junior looked at his sister with a speechless expression while Morgan smiled and laughed happily the moment she looked into his eyes.
/ FLASHBACK END /
"We still don´t really know what that was, but Morgan survived. She didn´t even had a single scratch." Emma said.
"That really sounds like a miracle." Ethan said.
"But you and Junior still believe it was Lightning Mage who saved her ?" Stacey asked Emma who nodded.
"We were blinded by that white light, however, Junior still was able to see how a girl with blonde hair and black clothing grabbed Morgan and brought her to saftey. And when he thought about it, he realized that this girl did resembled Lightning Mage a lot."
"Maybe Duel monsters are something more than we think." Ethan said.
("Since that day, Junior and I believe so.") Emma thought and looked back to the Duel. She smiled. ("And since that day, Morgan couldn´t be separated from her Lightning Mage.")
Down on the duel field, Morgan looked on with confidence while Avery gritted her teeth a bit. "I activate the effect of Yosen Training Grounds. I remove three counters to add a Yosenju monster from my deck to my hand." Three of the nine candles got blown out and a card poped out of Avery´s deck. She grabbed the card and revealed it. "I add my second Yosenju Kama 1 and end my turn."
"Now your three Yosenju Kama have to leave... for your deck." Morgan said. All three Kamas vanished and Avery placed their cards onto her deck which shuffeled.
"When a Yosenju monster doesn´t return to my hand at the end of my turn, Yosen Whirlwind is destroyed." Avery said and her continuous Spell shattered. She then noticed how excitment goes through the stadium. "Looks like the crowd really liked what you did."
"This is my Dueling style. Fighting together with my monsters, making the audience excited and putting smiles on their faces." Morgan replied.
TURN 7 Morgan LP 2900 Hand 0 / Avery LP 2300 Hand 2
"My turn, I draw !" Morgan took a card from her deck. She took a small look and played the card. "I play the Spell, Miracle Chance ! I draw a card from my deck. If the card is a Pendulum monster then all monsters I control gain 1000 attack until the end of this turn. If it´s not a Pendulum monster then I take 1000 points of damage." Morgan drew another card and slowly turned it around. She then showed it to Avery with a smile. "I drew the Pendulum monster Guardian Snow Owl. This means Lightning Mage gains 1000 attack points."

"Lightning Mage, attack Mayosenju Daibak !" The female warrior charged forward at a fast pace, leaving no time for Avery to look for an Action Card. Lightning Mage slashed along the large wolf and so made it explode. Avery LP 2300 (-1000) 1300
"Her effect dealt you double damage. I end my turn, my warrior´s attack returns to normal." Morgan said. Lightning Mage ATK/2500
"Morgan Reigns was in big trouble last turn, but she´s turned things around and has dealt damage to Avery !" Nico Smiley shouted into his microphone.
TURN 8 Avery LP 1300 Hand 2 / Morgan LP 2900 Hand 1
("She has a strong bond to her Ace, but so do I !") Avery thought and then drew. She looked at the card and saw it was Yosenju Kama 3.
"I activate Yosen Training Ground´s effect once again ! I remove three counter and add Yosenju Kama 2 to my hand. Now thanks to Yosen Training Grounds and my draw this turn, all three Kama brothers are back in my hand. And now I use their summoning effects to bring them back to the field." Avery played the cards onto her duel disk and the three Yosenju Kama reappeared on her field.

"Next I activate the Spell, Xyz Material Exchange ! When I control at least two monsters with the same level, I can special summon a monster from my deck but I must destroy a card on my field in exchange." Avery said and then pointed at her continuous Trap. "I destroy Dizzying Winds of Yosen Village and in exchange I summon Silent Paladin from my deck." The Trap card shattered and Silent Paladin appeared.

Morgan narrowed her eyes a bit. ("Four monsters with the same level...means four overlay units.") Avery then pointed at Morgan. "I half Kama 2´s attack and he attacks you directly !" Kama 2 charged towards Morgan and then slashed her with his sword. Morgan almost fell down from the watchtower due to the force but she managed to get down onto one knee.
Morgan LP 2900 (-900) 2000
"When there´s another Yosenju on my field, Kama 1´s special ability sends one card you control back to your hand !" Kama 1 swung the long chain of his weapon towards Lightning Mage.
Morgan grabbed onto the edge of the tower´s roof and swung herself into the standing space of the tower. There she found an Action Card. "Action Card, Invisibility ! My monster isn´t affected by the effects of your cards this turn !" Lightning Mage turned invisible and so the chain missed her. However, the chain then hit the scaffolding of the watch tower, making the tower shook. Morgan who was already climping back onto the roof, almost lost her grip.
Once the shaking stopped, Morgan sighed and pulled herself back onto the roof. "Maybe I should go down from here before I get knocked down." Lightning Mage seemed to agree to that since she grabbed Morgan and flew her down to the ground. Morgan now stood face to face with Avery.
"Now the real fight begins !" Avery said as she then held up her hand. "With the three level four Yosenju Kama and the level four Silent Paladin, I build the Overlay Network !" All four monsters become red energy and then went into the purple and yellow vortex that formed on the ground in front of Avery.
"From the depths of ancient fights, release the light of your sword throughout this battle field ! Come forth, Warrior of my Soul ! Rank 4 ! Veteran of Light - Gust King Alexander !" A humanoid warrior monster in grey armour with a green cape, red eyes and holding a sword in his right hand appeared. It was completely surrounded by winds and four green glowing orbs are circling around it.

"Now Alexander, take out Morgan´s Lightning Mage !" The Xyz monster slashed its sword down and so sent energy shockwaves towards Lightning Mage.
Morgan turned around and quickly run off to find an Action Card. She then saw one on a wodden ladder which is meant as a bridge to walk over a gap that was in the mountain path. She got onto the ladder and took the Action Card. "Go the Action Spell, Miracle ! Lightning Mage is saved and the battle damage is halved !" The energy shockwaves hit Lightning Mage and sent her flying and crashing into Morgan.
Morgan LP 2000 (-150) 1850
"It´s not over yet ! From my graveyard I activate the second effect of Xyz Material Exchange ! When the monster special summoned by this card´s effect is used as an Xyz material, the Xyz monster can make a second attack during the turn it was summoned !" Avery shouted.
("Damnit.") Morgan thought while gritting her teeth.
"Attack once more !" Avery shouted and her and Morgan´s warriors jumped into the air. Both let their swords collide but Alexander´s sword broke through. Lightning Mage was hit and sent down. She crashed through the wodden ladder before shattering. Morgan managed to jump back onto the mountain path.
Morgan LP 1850 (-300) 1550
Morgan looked at the card of her ace monster with a sad smile. "Sorry, Lightning Mage. Take a moment rest in the extra deck." She said and looked back at Avery. "Lightning Mage won´t be gone for long." Morgan then placed the card into her extra deck.
"I end my turn. Now show me how you will pull yourself out of this." Avery said with a smile.
TURN 8 Morgan LP 1550 Hand 1 / Avery LP 1500 Hand 0
("Avery really has strong cards. I can feel how hard she is working on her dream.") Morgan thought and then smiled. She walked over to the edge of the mountain path and jumped down and onto the ground. "I fancy a grounnd Duel from here on out. After all, in the ancient time, most warriors fought out their differences on the battle field."
"I agree." Avery replied and then she jumped onto the ground as well.
"I´m sure Morgan will manage to Pendulum Summon this turn." A boy in the audience said with excitment.
"Of course she will." Another boy said, also excited. Both boys then started chanting. "Pendulum. Pendulum. Pendulum." And soon the entire audience was chanting it as well.
Avery looked at the audience with a smile and closed her eyes. "Go on, Morgan."
Morgan looked at her surprised and then turned to look at Brody and Lynn. They both smiled and nodded to her. "Alright. Let´s do this, together !" Morgan said with a smile before putting her hand on her deck. "I draw !" She looked at her drawn card and her smile grew. "I activate the Spell, Heaven´s Draw ! Since you have a monster on the field while I don´t, I´m allowed to draw three more cards !"
Morgan drew three more cards and looked at them. She then turned towards the audience. "Ladies and gentleman. At the moment when me and my friends entered the Arc-League, we vowed that we will always be there for one another and give everything we have. Even though I stand alone on the battle field right now, I know that my friends are with me. And I will show that to you all now !"
Morgan then held up two cards. "With Scale 0 Guardian Snow Owl and Scale 8 Winged Pendulum Kuriboh, I set the Pendulum Scale !" She slammed the cards onto her Duel disk and the word "PENDULUM" appeared on the blade in rainbow colors. Both monsters rose up in a pillar of light and the golden numbers 0 and 8 appeared.

"Now I can summon monsters from level one to seven at the same time ! Swing Pendulum of my Soul ! Draw an arc of light into the sky ! Pendulum Summon ! Come forth, my monsters !" The Pendulum Portal in between the two pillars opened and a yellow beam shot out of it and onto the field. "Revive from the extra deck, warrior that takes her opponents out with the speed of lightning, Fate The Lightning Pendulum Mage !" The female warrior landed in front of Morgan, her cape was swinging a bit due to the wind that was going around the field.

"And now appear from my hand, the rare Dragon with two different colored eyes, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon !" A red beam shot out of the portal and Odd-Eyes appeared with a mighty roar.

"No way..." Avery said with shock once the Dragon appeared.
"Now goes Kuriboh´s Pendulum Effect ! It can use the Pendulum effect of a Pendulum monster which is either in my deck or my extra deck ! He uses Greninja´s effect ! I can special summon a level four or lower monster from my deck ! Appear to this Duel once more, Action-Buddy En Wing !" Morgan´s monster appeared next to Odd-Eyes.

Morgan then held out her hand towards Guardian Snow Owl. "And next I use Guardian Snow Owl´s Pendulum Effect ! It can make a Synchro Summon with a monster on my field ! Now I tune Snow Owl with En Wing !" The large white owl flew out of the pillar and became four green rings. En Wing jumped through the rings and become three white orbs. ( 4+3 = 7 )
"Fast as the midwinter wind. Make snow and ice become power to your beautiful fighting skills ! Synchro Summon ! Appear ! Level seven ! Yin-Yang Windwitch Girl !" Lynn´s Ace monster appeared in the sky and sparkled. She made a somersault forward and landed next to Lightning Mage.

"Amazing ! Morgan not only summoned her ace monster, she also summoned the ace monsters of her friends !" Nico Smiley shouted and the whole stadium cheered with excitment.
"Brody and Lynn entrusted me with Odd-Eyes and Windwitch Girl so we could win this together. Now prepare yourself to face not only me, but also them !" Morgan declared.
"A really surprising and amazing move. However, against my Warrior it won´t matter." Avery said.
("That´s what I want you to believe.") Morgan thought and then walked over to an Action Card she saw on the ground. She looked at the card and back at Avery. "I activate the Action Card, Sweet Strength. Now all monsters on my field gain 300 attack points until the end of this turn." Morgan said and all three monsters on her field glowed.
Lightning Mage ATK/2800 / Odd-Eyes ATK/2800 / Windwitch Girl ATK/2800
("Now it will turn out if I win this Duel or not.") Morgan thought and then looked at the Pendulum Dragon. "Alright, Odd-Eyes. Attack Avery´s Gust King Alexander !" Odd-Eyes roared and run forward before jumping into the air.
"I use one overlay unit to activate Alexander´s effect ! I target a monster declaring an attack and banish it !" Avery yelled and one of the four overlay units of her monster disappeared. Odd-Eyes who was still in the air then roared and shattered.
"I attack with Windwitch Girl !" Morgan shouted.
"You fool ! I use a second overlay unit and banish the attacking monster !" Another overlay unit disappeared and Windwitch Girl was destroyed. Morgan remained calm.
("What the heck is she up to ? Does she wants me to use up all of my monster´s overlay units ?") Avery thought while narrowing her eyes a bit. She then held up her hand. "Nonethenless, I won´t back down ! I remove the remaining two overlay units to activate Alexander´s second effect twice ! Now both banished monsters return and I take control over them !" Both overlay units vanished and Odd-Eyes and Windwitch Girl reappeared on Avery´s field in defence mode.
Windwitch Girl ATK/2500 DEF/2000 / Odd-Eyes ATK/2500 DEF/2000
"What´s this ? Morgan attacked, hoping to take out Avery´s monster but Avery used her monster´s effect to first banish Morgan´s monsters and then return them and take control over them. Now what will Morgan do ?!" Nico Smiley shouted.
("I win !") Avery thought satisfied, but her eyes then widened and she gasped in shock as she saw that Morgan was smiling. "No way... dont´t tell me you wanted that to happen...?"
"I was unsure if you would really do it, but I decided to take the risk. I baited you and you fell for it." Morgan replied.
"We both entered this tournament with a dream we want to come true. Now we will see who´s wish is stronger !" Morgan continued and a yellow aura started to gather around Lightning Mage. Morgan´s bracelet also started to glow a little bit.
Morgan smiled. "I know you can do it, Lightning Mage. Please feel my wish... feel our wish and turn it into strenght for you." Lightning Mage looked over her shoulder at Morgan and nodded. The aura around her got stronger.
Avery looked on, feeling quite amazed by what was happening. ("This next attack will decide it.") She thought and then smiled. "Alright, let´s do this." She said and her warrior prepared to go. For a moment there was nothing but silence...
"Let´s decide it ! Go, Lighting Mage ! Take out Avery´s Gust King Alexander !" Morgan yelled and Lightning Mage charges forward as does Avery´s warrior.
"Go !" Both girls yelled and their monsters clashed against each other, letting their swords collide. This sent shockwaves of wind throughout the stadium, making everyone shielding themselves with their arms.
Their attack points were the same so the fight seemed to be balanced, however...
Avery then gasped as she saw how her warrior was slowly pushed back by the wind and Morgan´s warrior while she herself felt how she gets pushed back by the wind.
"Break through !" Morgan, Brody and Lynn yelled together and it seems that the waves of wind are getting stronger.
Avery was staggering back a bit while she hold up her right arm to shield herself. ("It´s so strong. It´s like Morgan´s feelings and the feelings of her friends are one and the same with the wind.")
Morgan was also shielding herself as she then cringed in pain as the wind sliced her right cheek, making a small bleeding cut appear. But she still stood her ground and then held up a card. "From my hand I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Winds of Friendship ! I destroy two monsters on your field and then Lightning Mage gains their attack points ! Be gone Odd-Eyes and Windwitch Girl !" Both monsters nodded to Morgan before they turned into energy and vanished into Lightning Mage. Now an aura of yellow, white and red was surrounding her.

"Avery, I admire your dream, however, I wanna keep my promise to my brother and my friends. I´m gonna make mine... no, our dream come true today ! End this, Lightning Mage !" Lightning Mage heard Morgan´s words and put more force into her attack. The sword of Avery´s warrior slowly begun to break.
Avery looked on, knowing she´ll lose. ("So this is friendship... Morgan´s power...")
Lightning Mage´s sword then finally broke through and sliced along the upper body of Avery´s monster. It then shattered and Lightning Mage swung her sword to the side and bowed.
Avery LP 1500-0 / Morgan WIN
The Action Field disappeared and the audience sat in silence. Nico Smiley then snapped out of his shock. "The winner is Morgan." He said and then a huge smile came to his face. "The winner of the Arc-League Championship is the You Show Duel School´s Morgan Reigns !" He shouted and the audience erupted in cheering.
"She won it ?!" Brody and Lynn said surprised but happy at the same time.
"Morgan won !" Ethan cheered and the audience started to cheer louder while chanting Morgan´s name. "Morgan ! Morgan ! Morgan ! Morgan !"
Morgan grabbed the cards of Lighting Mage, Windwitch Girl and Odd-Eyes and held them up into the air with a huge smile. "We did it ! We are the strongest in the world !"
"Morgan !" Brody yelled as he run over to her close followed by Lynn. Morgan turned to them and smiled. "Hey, you two." She said while being hugged by them.
"You really did it." Lynn said with a smile.
Brody held up his fist with a huge smile. "You´re the new Champion !"
Meanwhile outside of the stadium
Outside of the stadium on the roof of a building were two cloaked figures. They pulled the hodds of the cloaks down and revealed themselfs as Ren and Celina.
"That win was to expect." Celina said with a calm expression.
"This world has some strong fighters, but it doesn´t matter. In the end, we will be the winners." Ren said with a smirk.
"Alright, we have everything we need. Let´s head back home and report to the master." Celina said, activating her duel disk. She then took out the card that had brought them here. Its color was back, meaning it restored its energy.
"Open yourself, Gate to the Fusion World !" She said and then played the card. A glowing purple portal appeared in front of them. Both teenagers then walked into the portal and it disappeared again.
Back inside the stadium
"Here you go." Morgan said, giving Odd-Eyes and Windwitch Girl back to their respective owners. She then looked towards Avery and saw that she was sitting on the ground with a sad and disappointed expression. Drake and Lucy were with her, trying to cheer her up.
Morgan smiled sadly and made her way over to them. Avery saw her walk over and stood up. "Hey, please don´t look down like that. You may have lost, but that doesn´t mean it´s over. If you continue to work hard then I´m sure you will make your dream come true one day." Morgan said but Avery just looked to the side.
Morgan smiled a bit. "You really surprised me by using Xyz Summoning and finding out the weakness of the Pendulum Summon. If I hadn´t drawn certain cards, then I might really had lost." She said gently which made Avery look back at her surprised. "You´re really strong, and you have some very strong and amazing friends. I´m sure your father would be proud, of how strong you have gotten, of the friends you found, and for what you fight. So stand up tall and continue to fight for your dream."
Avery listen to Morgan´s words and at the end she smiled. "Thank you, Morgan. I hope we will see each other again."
"Of course. I´ll look forward to it." Morgan replied with a smile and they both shook hands. Their friends smiled at this and cheering all around erupted once more. "However, there is something else I want to do." Morgan said as she pulled a surprised Avery with her.
"Where are we going ?" Avery asked. Morgan stopped and smiled at her. "We will go to the stage together. I wanna share the Champion title with you."
Avery´s eyes widened. "Why ? You won the finals fair and square."
Morgan´s smile grew. "In our Duel I could feel it... the cry of your heart. You deserve to be up there on the stage too. So come on."
Avery didn´t know what to say back. "Don´t think about it. Just say yes." Brody said who was also smiling. Avery looked at him, then at Lucy and Drake who smiled at her and nodded. Avery had tears appear in the corner of her eyes and then smiled. She turned back to Morgan. "Alright then."
Inside a red throne room in Ren and Celina´s home, the Fusion World
Ren and Celina were kneeling in front of a man that sat on a throne. He wears a long red coat and a black professional suit underneath. He has short white spiky hair, a very thin white goatee and brown eyes.
The man then stood up from his throne. "Ren and Celina. Since you both returned I assume your mission has been succesfull then ?"
Both teens nodded. "Yes, Master."
The man nodded. "Good. Then tell me what you found out."
"The Standard World has some good Duelists, including our siblings. It also seems like the people of this world can use all five Summoning methodes." Ren said.
"However, there is also a new sixth Summon which only can be used by our Standard siblings so far. This Summoning methode is called Pendulum Summon. It allows the user to summon high level monsters simulately without needing to tribute other monsters. This Summon is also the source of the energy that is needed to create the portals towards the other worlds." Celina said.
"Very interesting. Anything else ?" The man asked.
"Yes master. We don´t know how or why but my sister from the Synchro World somehow crossed into the Standard World and currently lives by my Standard sister." Celina said.
"Their names are Morgan and Lynn while the name of my Standard brother is Brody. And while we were observing them we could also start to feel our conections to each other. At a few points, Celina´s bracelet reacted to her sister." Ren added.
("So it already begins...") The man thought while narrowing his eyes. "I give the card into the laboratory to let it get analized. You two will continue your training but stay on stand-bye the whole time."
"Yes Master." Both teens replied.
"Good. Dismissed." The man said and Celina and Ren left the room.
The man turned around and walked over to a large picture that was on the wall behind his throne. He pushed a secret button and the picture rose up, opening a compartment where ten black spiral-formed bracelets were in. ("Pendulum Summon huh ? Should have expected that from the leaders. But in the end it matters nothing. Once I have all of them, I´ll be their master and their powers will belong to me, now and for all eternity.")
Paradise City, Stadium
Two hours later, it was already sunset over Paradise City.
"And now it´s time for the award ceremony for the two Duelists who became Action-Duel World-Champion. Here they are. Morgan Reigns and Avery Harper" Nico Smiley spoke into his microphone. The two girls were standing on a stage, each one wearing a golden medal. The head of the Dueling company "Global Dueling" then walked over to them and gave Morgan a small trophy made out of glass. It had "Action-Duel World-Champion", "Year 2027", and her name engraved.
Morgan and Avery smiled at each other before Morgan then held up the trophy. All the other students that competed in this year´s championship stood in front of the stage and were applauding while the audience cheered and applauded too. Emma, Stacey and Ethan were also standing in front of the stage, all of them smiling as well.
"She really did it." Stacey said.
"Yes. And she really worked hard for this." Emma said with a smile.
"Who would have gussed that in the end Morgan would share the champion title." Lynn said while she was also smiling.
"That´s what makes Morgan an amazing person. Trying to help others, no matter what the problem is." Brody said. He too smiled for his best friend and then turned to Lynn. "I bet your friend Ryan will be totally surprised when you tell him that you had the chance of becoming champion in another world. Right, Lynn ?".
"I guess so, even though I lost my Duel." Lynn replied with a sad smile.
"You did great, Lynn. I might be the one who won it, but we all reached it this far together. Be proud of yourself." Morgan said as she walked down from the stage and put her hand on Lynn´s shoulder.
Lynn´s smile turned into a happy one. "Okay. Thanks Morgan."
Lynn then watched Morgan and Brody talk with Avery and her friends before then looking up into the sky. "Ryan..."
Unknown Location
An about fourteen year old boy was standing on a hill were you could overlook a city. It was night so you couldn´t see his face, but he has spiky silver hair and wears a jacket, pants and sneakers.
Hovering behind him was a large shadowy figure with glowing green eyes and wings.
"It´s been more then a month now and still no track on her. I think it´s time to do things my way. I promise I´ll find you, Lynn. Wherever you are."
