15. Chapter 15

The Mystery In Equestria

lightningbolt1423: yea I felt that since Diamond Tiara was a bit of a spoiled brat in the show that I would make her more so here, when i was writing the part with her dad it felt right for him to try and buy anything his family wanted so in turn that made him seem like an enabler as to her give her whatever she wanted. Filler: takes place after discord is sealed away by the elements. The mane six as well as a few others will all be close in age and height consisting of Twilight age 19 5'7, Rarity age 21 5'6, Rainbow Dash age 18 5'5, AppleJack age 20 5'9, Pinkie Pie age 19 5'4, and Fluttershy age 22 5'7, Gilda age 19 5'8, Silver age 220 6'8, Spitfire age 23 5'9.

Chapter 15: The Wilderness

*Recap*

"I was wondering since our relationship has been steadily increasing lately, could I stay the night in your room seeing as it was lonely last night" Spitfire said as she was trying and slightly failing at not mumbling out what she wanted to say.

Silver hearing this smiled as he gave her a light kiss on the lips before "i can understand what you mean and yea i feel that we are at the stage where we can sleep in the same bed together and cuddle" Silver said as he looked at the bright smile she had on her face as the three made their way back to his bedroom.

After Silver kneeled down next to Ruby's bed so she could go from his back to the bed, he and Spitfire crawled under the covers to his bed with Silver laying on his side and Spitfire making her way in between his arms and resting her head against his chest. Giving the stallion one last kiss which he returned they all soon were asleep as the events from the day took its toll on all of them.

*Present*

The sun was just beginning to peak over the horizon to send light over Equestria, for an unlucky stallion the light somehow always managed to find his eyes. The stallion at first tried to ignore the sudden bright light but seemed he couldn't, as it somehow made its way through his closed eyes. Releasing a small groan of frustration at the sun he slowly started to open his eyes, while he was still waking up he caught the smell of something sweet. With his eyes not fully opened he started to find the source of the sweet smell, as he scanned the room he saw that Ruby was still peacefully sleeping in her bed and Spitfire was still sleeping on his chest.

As he continued to search for the sweet smell he tried to figure out what it more resembled, it took him a few minutes of thinking before he recognized what it smelled like, honey. As Silver was starting to wake up more he soon found where the source of the sweet scent was coming from and upon knowing this he realized that there was a slight wet feeling on his waist. Blushing at the realization that the sweet honey smell and the wet feeling were coming from the mare that was on his, giving her a light kiss on her cheek as he lightly whispered in the mare's ear it was time to wake up.

After he finished whispering in her ear he noticed that the wet feeling slightly increased and that she started to stir. When she raised her head he gave her a small yet passionate kiss on her lips which seemed to cause the wet feeling to only increase. Once the kiss broke Silver watched as her eyes started to slowly open until dark orange eyes met red as they seemed to get lost in the other, after a minute the pair kissed once again this one lighter than before.

"Morning fire" Silver said after the kiss had ended and she returned her head on his chest.

"Morning stud" Spitfire said as she was wanting to go back to sleep upon feeling the stallion's warmth.

Leaning his head near her ear "so did you know that you are dripping" Silver whispered into the mare's ear at first not getting any reaction until she lifted her head up to look at him.

"What do you mean I'm dripping?" Spitfire said as she brought a hoof to her mouth thinking he meant she was drooling, after whipping her mouth not feeling any difference she simply looked at him confused.

"Other pair fire" Silver said as he had a light blush on his features as his eyesight traveled from where the mare's eyes were to where the wet feeling was at.

Upon hearing the stallion Spitfire at first was confused by what he meant by another pair and as she was about to ask she noticed his eyes travel down to where he was referring to, moving slightly as she turned her head which caused her to feel the wet spot that she had unintentionally created overnight. As soon as she felt the wet spot Silver's words came back to her mind as she had the decency to blush but it wasn't a light one like Silver had earlier no it was a full face blush.

When everything registered in her mind with her blush appearing out of nowhere she did the only thing she could and that was try to bury her head further into the stallion's chest. Lightly chuckling at the scene he started to rub her back with his hoof as a way to calm her down from what he suspected was an embarrassing moment for her. After around 5 minutes of him rubbing her back in reassurance she finally looked up still with a blush on her face as their eyes met, seeing her features with the heavy blush still in place Silver gave her a kind smile.

"You are normally quite beautiful but when you blush like that you are extremely adorable" Silver said with a smile still on his face as they looked into each other's eyes.

Instead of responding vocally as to ask if he really meant that, she knew he was telling the truth of what he thought as they never broke eye contact and she could feel the warmth in his words. Blushing more she slowly closed her eyes and moved her head forward until their lips met in a tender kiss. When the kiss ended they agreed that she would make breakfast as he went to go put the bedding in the washer.

After Spitfire had left to take care of her agreement Silver began to take the bedding off and make his way to the laundry room which was located in between his room and the guest room. With the laundry in the washer he made his way to the linen closet that was inside the bathroom in order to get fresh sheets, with the sheets now levitating in front of him he made his way back to the bedroom in order to put them on his bed.

Once Silver was almost done setting up the sheets he started to hear the faint sound of a blanket rustling, telling him that Ruby was starting to wake up. When he was finished he looked to where the bed that she slept in and indeed saw that she was sitting up as she gently rubbed her eyes with the back of her clawed hands. With the sleepiness out of her eyes Ruby looked to where the stallion was before she gave him a sleepy grin as she showed a few of her more pronounced teeth.

Walking to the side of her bed and kneeling down with her crawling on his back the two made their way out to the living room, upon getting to the living room they heard a slight humming sound from the kitchen and Silver decided to see how the food was coming along. As he was looking around the corner into the kitchen he saw that Spitfire was lightly humming from what he could tell a beautiful song to which he didn't recognize, as the song was coming to an end he noticed that she was finishing up with what she was making and turned out to be omelets on closer inspection.

As the song ended they both heard a light clapping sound which when they looked they saw Ruby sitting on Silver's back while she was clapping with a happy smile on her face showing that she enjoyed the song. Realizing that she had an audience, Spitfire blushed lightly as she gave the two a small bow which only made their smiles bigger seeing as the gesture. Seeing that the food was done Silver leant a hoof or in this case a horn as he helped bring the plates out and set them on the table, when Spitfire sat down she was surprised by the little dragon sitting on her lap as she did with Silver during their meals.

Looking over to the stallion to see his reaction to this occurrence, and what she saw made her smile because she was able to see the stallion while she would guess slightly surprised but he had a more prominent smile on his face seeing the baby dragon become more comfortable around other ponies. After the shock was over they began to enjoy their breakfast consisting of omelets with various different small pieces of fruits(fruits with a couple gems for Ruby), zap apple jam toast, coffee for the stallion and mare while Ruby gets orange juice.

As the three were enjoying their breakfast they began to talk about things that they planned to do for the day. Silver simply said that he would see about finding some construction ponies to see about a remodel for the house, but if he didn't have any luck he would simply post a request after he was able to get the things that he would need. Spitfire said that she had to fly back to Clouds-Dale as this was a small break from the constant training she was putting the new recruits through.

When breakfast was over Silver gave Spitfire a light kiss, before he started making his way over towards the town hall in order to acquire where he can get building renovations done. During the walk as he made it into the town he was greeting the ponies who gave him and Ruby a good morning. It took the usual amount of time for him to get to the town hall as it normally did, but once he got there he made his way inside as he was heading towards the Mayor's office. Getting to the door and giving a knock as he waited for the go ahead to enter, which didn't take long for him to receive.

"Ah Mr. Shade what can I do for you?" Mayor mare asked as she looked at her guest.

"I was wondering where I might be able to find some builder ponies for a renovation I was planning to do" Silver said as he looked at the mare hoping she was able to help.

"Well I normally have to contact them seeing as they are a group of wandering labor ponies who are used to doing various tasks that require hard labor, would you like me to send a letter to them?" Mayor mare asked as she had a piece of paper and pen at the ready for when he answered.

"That would be perfect thank you" Silver said as he was glad that he was able to have a positive aspect happen for the day since he wasn't sure how things would have gone.

"Alright I shall send a letter seeing if they are up for a job over here and shall also ask on how long of a wait it shall be until they are able to get close to ponyville" Mayor mare said as she was currently writing out the letter.

"Alright that sounds good, what is the cost of their work" Silver asked as he was willing to meet what they asked seeing as they would be helping him as he had seen their work after the Mayor told him that they were the ponies who built the north eastern windmill to turn it into a windmill house combo.

"Hm well that all depends on the job length but they will accept either pay by day or a lump some when the job is finished" Mayor mare said as she thought over what the labor ponies charged for the various jobs she had for them over the time.

"Alright well that was all I had to acquire information over if you could let me know of their response when you receive it" Silver said as he looked at the mare in a friendly manor which is rarely seen unless he trusted the pony.

With his task done for the moment he bid the Mayor a good day as he and Ruby started to leave the building. He wanted to get the materials for when the labor ponies got into town but he was unable to as he first needed to get a basic of how he wanted the soon to be new room to be, but after thinking he was wondering if he should get a full remodel for his house done which would cause him to stay in a hotel.

Making his way back to his house he started to think over what he should do along the way he began to contemplate his current conundrum of what he should do for the house. Should he just go for an add on bedroom for Ruby or should he have the whole house remodeled, the reason he was thinking of a full remodel was because he had to lower his head through all the doorways in his house, and was wanting to change the layout of the building.

It was a good portion of the trip to his house that he was lost in thought until he passed the windmill which the occupant got his attention before making their way towards him. Looking in the direction of the griffon who was making her way towards him, which wasn't long seeing as he glided a good portion of the distance in order to be near the stallion.

"Hey Silver, what's got you so deep in thought?" Gilda said as she was hoping nothing was troubling the stallion she was still coming to terms with the fact that she saw the stallion as more of a friend, while she was brave the previous night as she gave him a light kiss wasn't sure if she could face the stallion if he was mad that she kissed him.

"Oh hey Gilda was just debating on whether I wanted to just build a bedroom for Ruby or do a full house remodel" Silver said as the pair began to walk towards the hill.

"What's wrong with the house that was making you think about a full house remodel?" Gilda asked as she glanced to the stallion in curiosity.

"I'm sure you noticed the doorways are a bit small, and I was wanting to change the layout of the house while possibly making it a bit bigger? Silver said as he noticed the brief glance the griffon gave him.

Nodding at the stallion's words as she had seen him have to lower his head in order to make his way through his home and started to think about how annoying that would become over time. But then she was suddenly hit with a thought and decided to voice her question "if you decide to get the full remodel what are you going to do for lodging?" Gilda asked as they made it to the stallion's house.

"Well I was thinking about finding a hotel for me and Ruby for the time being" Silver said as they made their way inside his house, and as they entered the living room saw Spitfire laying across his couch while reading a Daring Do book.

With Ruby going to the couch as they passed in order to join the mare as she read even though she couldn't read yet, she still layed down with the mare. Silver went to the armchair that was in the room while Gilda sat at the foot of the couch that was currently unoccupied. Once they were settled they continued their conversation with the occasional comment from Spitfire as she continued to read.

It was some time later that the conversation was done with Ruby falling asleep on the mare as he came to the decision on the full remodel but had to change the location as to where they would stay since Gilda was rather adamant about the two staying with her instead of them being in a hotel. Silver at first thanked her for the gesture but declined as he said he didn't want to burden her, to which she defended that he wouldn't be a burden since she offered and then put in the plus side of him staying at her place, he would be closer to his house as he would be able to oversee the job while she volunteered to watch over Ruby.

Seeing as the griffon was surprisingly stubborn at the moment, he decided to accept the offer when the time came around for the house remodel. With the place he and Ruby would stay was decided he started to make his way to the town in order to find a place that sold various types of paper seeing as he was wanting to make a brief blueprint of how he was wanting the house.

After about 30 minutes of wandering around the town in order to find a store that sold some blueprint paper, with him purchasing a few of the pages in order for him to have extra incase he wanted to do later builds along the way since with the amount of land he had, knew that he had plenty of space for various other things if he wanted them in the future, as well as buying some items that he assumed Ruby would need later on as she learned i.e. books, some pencils and even crayons and colored pencils incase she was an artistic dragon. With the bag his various purchases encased in magic as it levitated just a few inches over his back he started to make his way back to his house seeing as he was now able to get the layout to his liking.

Once he made it back to his home he went directly towards the dining room table while he set a blank blueprint on the surface as he began to carefully draw the layout of the house as detailed as he could with the memory of looking at various blueprint designs when a target was in a tricky location. It was heading towards lunch before he decided to take a break as he was starting to feel hungry and figured the others would be as well.

Clearing the table as he asked what the others felt like for lunch seeing if he needed to cook or if they wanted to eat out, while he was fine with cooking felt like eating out and it seemed the thought was shared by the others as they said they felt like some of the food from the café. As they were heading to the location Silver asked if Gilda would want to find Rain and see if she wanted to join them seeing as the occasionally lazy Pegasus sometimes napped through lunch and didn't eat until it was closer to dinner.

With Gilda off to find her friend the others started to make a casual pace to the town as they were headed towards the café in their previous discussion. As the café was now within sight Silver, Ruby, and Spitfire were joined by the arrival of Gilda and Rainbow Dash, seeing as their group was all there they started to continue making their way towards the café they all enjoyed eating at.

After the group was seated at a couple tables that were located outside meant for a larger group of ponies they were asked what they were having, as they all ordered with Silver asking for some mini Daisy burgers for Ruby. when they all had placed their orders they started to converse about different things in general with the questions towards him being how the plans for the house were coming along.

It didn't take very long from what the group could tell before their food arrived and as they ate the conversations resumed while the speaker's mouth was clear of food. While the group was chatting as they ate they had a surprise visit from a stallion and a filly that seemed to be looking at Silver nervously. The stallion and filly were none other than Filthy Rich and Diamond Tiara, after his encounter with the larger stallion he had thought about how his daughter was treating others poorly because she was of a higher class than them and when Silver defended himself and the dragon he realized that with how things are they were giving the other ponies of ponyville a reason to ostracize them which in his now opened eyes they deserved.

"Go on dear, tell them what we came here for," Filthy Rich said as he looked from his daughter to the group of ponies and the griffon.

"I'm sorry for demanding things from you that i had no right to and I'm sorry for saying that daddy would make it to where you couldn't find work, I was wrong in doing those things as it was not lady like nor was it showing you respect" Diamond Tiara said as she at first glanced at the stallion then looked down in shame at how she acted.

"Keep going," Filthy Rich said as he encouraged his daughter to finish saying what she intended to.

"I'm sorry for the way I acted, it was not right for me to do so. I should have been respectful to a pony who is my elder as well as being a resident of ponyville" Diamond Tiara said as she looked at Silver as he was able to see that she was being honest with her apologies.

"I would like to apologize for the actions that i took the other day as well, instead of automatically being on my daughters side i should have heard the full story and acted accordingly. Like my daughter I should have respected you as a fellow resident of ponyville instead of thinking you were below me like I did" Filthy Rich said as he like his daughter looked at the stallion he had wronged.

"Both are forgiven seeing as you have learned from your mistakes and wish to better yourselves, but what i said the other night still stands strong Filthy Rich and it will until i deem it unnecessary" Silver said as he looked between the father daughter pair, as they gave him a nod understanding and bid them a sorry for interrupting and left to go about their day.

When the pair left the group resumed their meal as they discussed what they wanted to do for the rest of the day. After a bit of talking the group decided to head over to the Winter Wrap-up lake in order to go for a relaxing swim seeing as they had nothing important to do for the day. With Silver paying for the group's meal they made their way back to their respective houses but before the group split Rainbow Dash brought up the subject of bringing their other friends which were Twilight, Spike, Fluttershy, Applejack and Rarity the last name causing him to give a barely noticed shudder.

After the other's voiced they didn't see an issue with it all eyes were now on Silver as he had yet to answer, looking at the faces of the ponies and griffon that were closer to him than any other with the exception of Fluttershy seeing as when he took a nap in the east orchard field he wound up with the rabbit on his back. Giving a light grumble seeing as he was outnumbered even though he didn't have a problem with most he simply wished Rarity would stop trying to get him to sleep with her, so he eventually agreed. After they all grabbed their towels they met up at the bottom of the hill in order to discuss who would get who.

Rainbow Dash went to see if Twilight, and Spike wanted to go swimming as well as seeing if Pinkie Pie wanted to join, Gilda went to see if Applejack wanted to go, Silver headed for Fluttershy's house since they knew she was more likely to go if he asked and Spitfire would get Rarity. Once they all had their pony in mind as to where they needed to go they split up in order to see if they wanted to join.

With Rainbow Dash

After she flew over to the library and knocked on the door, Rain waited for the pony or dragon to answer which to her glee didn't take long as Twilight answered the door.

"Hey Rainbow Dash what's up?" Twilight asked after she saw who was at the door.

"Hey Twi me, Silver, Gilda and Spitfire were going to go to the Winter Wrap-up lake and were wondering if you and Spike wanted to go" Rainbow Dash asked as she looked pleadingly at the mare.

"Sure I could use a break from studying and I know that Spike could use a break" Twilight said after she thought about it.

"Sweet alright well I'll let you grab what you need to" Rainbow Dash said as she was about to turn around she heard the joking comment her friend made.

"Alright Dash we shall see you at the lake" Twilight said as her friend nodded before turning towards the direction the lake was in.

With Gilda

After landing near the entrance to Sweet Apple Acres she made her way to the porch as she was told by Silver that Granny Smith would be there and she could tell her where the mare in question was.

"Excuse me Granny Smith, do you know where I can find Applejack?" Gilda asked as she looked at the older mare and was sure to be as respectful as possible since she didn't want to give a bad impression.

"I reckon I do, she's outback finishing up her chores" Granny Smith said to the griffon as she kept rocking back and forth in her chair.

"Alright thank you" Gilda said as she started making her way to the back of the house in search of the mare she was looking for.

When she was behind the house she started to search for Applejack, looking in the various locations she might be at. After a good 5 minutes and not being able to find the mare Gild decided to fly a bit in the air to get a better view. As she was scanning the area she was able to spot an orange dot in the distance, knowing that was the mare she was looking for started to head in the direction.

"Hey AJ" Gilda said when she got closer to the mare.

"Hey there partner, what cha need?" AppleJack asked as she looked to the griffon.

"I was wondering if you wanted to join me, RD, Spitfire and Silver with the chance of the others joining at the Winter Wrap-up lake?" Gilda asked as she looked to the pony while awaiting her answer.

"Sure sounds like a mite good time" AJ said as she was thinking of some way to relax as she spent the day working at the farm.

"Alright cool, ill let you grab what you need and meet you at the lake" Gilda said as she started stretching her wings in order to take off after she got the mares next response.

"I reckon that would work perfectly, I'll finish up here before i make mah way out there" AJ said as she looked at her newer friend.

With Spitfire

After being told where the boutique was at Spitfire was gently gliding her way in the direction of where she was told the mare would most likely be. When she was informed of why Silver shuddered at the mention of the mare she was a bit annoyed that the mare would constantly flirt with a pony when they didn't accept the previous advances.

Landing a few feet from the door as she started to walk towards the door as she curled her wings back up, when she made it to the door she noticed the sign and entered the shop since it was open. After making her way in the shop she called out to see if any pony was there, to which she received a light call of "I'll be there in a minute" a voice said from the back. It wasn't long till the pony made her way to the front of the store.

"Hey there dear what do you want made?" Rarity said as she looked to the pretty famous pony that stood in her shop.

"Uh no I was wondering if you wanted to join me, Rain, Gilda and possibly the others for a swim at the Winter Wrap-up lake?" Spitfire asked as she looked at the mare who seemed slightly depressed as she could guess was because she forgot to mention the stallion.

"Sure that sounds like a pleasant idea seeing as I am not busy for the rest of the day" Rarity said as she began to get over the fact she might not be able to see the stallion that she had been trying to get the attention of.

"Alright well I will let you get what you need and see you at the lake" Spitfire said as she started to make her way to the door.

"Okay see ya in a little dear" Rarity said as the mare left she went to grab what she needed in order to enjoy the lake.

With Rainbow Dash part2

As she made her way to where she knew her hyperactive friend would be at, making her way into the bakery that her friend worked/lived in. Greeting Mrs. Cake as she asked if Pinks was busy, to which she got a no before the mare told her where she could find her at.

"Hey Pinks" Rainbow Dash said as she snuck up on her friend, giving her a small scare as she had a smile on her face.

"Ahhh cheese and sprinkles, good one Dashie" Pinkie Pie said as she looked towards the mare who commonly scared ponies while giving them a small laugh out of the situation.

"Thanks, me and the others were going to head to go swimming at Winter Wrap-up lake and were wondering if you and our other friends wanted to join?" Rainbow Dash asked as she looked to her friend already knowing she would be up for it.

"Yes that sounds super duper ultra specially fun count me in" Pinkie Pie said as she started bouncing in place.

"Alright Pinkie I'll see you there, don't forget to bring a towel" Rainbow Dash said as she left and made her way to the lake.

With Silver

As Silver was making his way down the dirt path to Fluttershy's house, when he was almost to the house he met up with Angel. With the little companion Silver continued making his way to the shy mare's house. Once he was at the door he gave it a couple of light knocks as he waited for the occupant to answer.

"Hello, oh hi Silver," Fluttershy said quietly as she looked at who was at her door.

"Hey Flutter me and the others were planning to go to the Winter Wrap-up lake and we decided to see if you and the rest of the group wanted to come along" Silver said as he looked kindly to the mare.

"Oh um sure that sounds lovely" Fluttershy said as she looked nervously at the stallion at her door.

"Alright I will let you grab a towel and anything else you might need and see you at the lake" Silver said as he gave her a small smile which caused her to blush as she nodded and squeaked out a quieter "see you there".

With his task done Silver started to make his way to the lake, on his way he remembered the rabbit on his back but noticed he wasn't there anymore and figured he got off as he was talking to Fluttershy. Nearing his destination he noticed that Spitfire Rainbow Dash and Gilda were all sitting near the grassy area a few feet before it went into the lake. Setting down his towel as he laid down while the group chatted while they waited for the others to get here after learning that all the others agreed to join.
