Glinda and Raisha moved to the edge of the village. Glinda saw about 40 men from a distance.

"Say the spell quickly to make your bubble." Raisha said.

Glinda nods and started. A pink bubble soon appeared.

'Well done. You walk that way to make more bubbles. I'll do the other side.' She began to cast the spell. A yellow bubble appeared. 'Was I doing well?' she asked.

Glinda nodded. She still couldn't believe that Raisha had never said she could do magic.

They quickly got to work.

When they were done Raisha said 'Now we have to wait for the soldiers to burst a bubble with their bullets. Then we have to make a new one. Until everyone is at a safe distance.'

Glinda nodded. Soon the soldiers fired on the bubbles. It took at least five bullets before they finally burst a bubble. Glinda and Raisha quickly got to work to create new bubbles when holes appeared. After a few minutes they started to tire.

If only I had a more powerful bubble, Glinda thought. It is of course in the Grimmerie. Oooh no Sweet Oz. Suddenly Glinda realized that the Grimmerie was still in their house. It must not fall into the hands of Morrible.

'Raisha' called Glinda as the guards were repeating their weapons. 'We have to get the Grimmerie. Only then do we stand a chance.' She says as she walked up to Raisha. 'He's with the cookbooks. He is green and pink. We disguised the book.'

'Okay' said Raisha. 'Go get him.'

Glinda shook her head. 'No you're going to get him. I can summon the bubbles much faster than you. I have some energy left.'

'Are you saying I'm old?' Raisha asked as she pulled up her eyebrow.

'No you still look good for your age. Maybe a little too little pink stuff, but tastes differ. I'm glad you have something pink.'

Raisha had to laugh. She quickly made a bubble again when she saw that one had burst. 'Listen Glinda you know where the book is and can use it much better than I do. Everyone is now at a safe distance. You can then overtake the others. Go to the waterfall behind it is a passage. The people need you. I'll come as soon as I see you disappeared into the woods. Believe in yourself Glinda you have achieved a lot.'

Glinda had tears in her eyes and nodded. 'I'll be quick then you don't have to hold them back that long. Thanks Raisha. I love you like a sweet grandmother.' Glinda quickly summoned three more bubbles to fill the gaps.

Raisha laughed hard. 'I love you too my spoiled grandchild. And I love my green shy grandchild'

Glinda quickly ran home. 'Oooh where is it. Where is it' she said as she ran to the kitchen.

She soon saw the green and pink book. She quickly ran out. 'I've got it' she called to Raisha.

Raisha turned and smiled at Glinda. Raisha had not noticed that the bubble had burst. She walked past the hole to get to Glinda, then the men shot through the same hole twice. The two bullets hit Raisha in the stomach. Before she could respond, she fell down.

Glinda screamed loudly when she saw everything happen. 'NOO RAISHA!' She started running to Raisha. All her emotions went to extremes. She felt her strength grow. Before she knew it she was casting a spell. All soldiers were trapped in a bubble. The guards used their weapons to break the bubble but it was no use. Slowly they flew towards the Emerald city. They were worried where they would land and how long it would take.

Glinda fell to the ground from exhaustion. Her last thoughts went to Elphaba when she lost consciousness.

Glinda slowly opened her eyes. She looked around and saw that she was lying in some kind of cave. She wanted to get up but quickly felt dizzy.

"Yeah take it easy." Raydel said when he walked up.

'What happened?' Glinda asks when she lies down.

'Don't you remember?' Raydel asked.

Glinda thought, and her memories returned. 'Morrible's soldiers came to attack our village.' She said softly. 'Everyone had to flee, but we wouldn't be out in time. So Raisha and Oooh sweet Oz where is Raisha?' she asks with panic in her voice.

Raydel shook his head sadly. 'After the villagers were safely in the cave, Fiyero and I walked back. When we got there we saw the soldiers fly away in a bubble. You lay unconscious with the Grimmerie on the ground and Raisha was ... was dead. We brought you back and buried Raisha in her garden. You were unconscious for a day.'

Glinda started to cry. 'Raisha has sacrificed herself to get everyone out safely.'

Raydel tried to comfort Glinda.

Fiyero came in with some food. "Hey Raydel I've got some .. Ooh hey Glinda good to see you again. ' He gave Glinda a hug. 'I see you know what happened' he said gloomily. 'I'm sorry' he said softly.

Why are you saying sorry? It's not your fault.'

'Yes, it is my fault. I led them here. Morrible certainly had a plan.'

'Fiyero you don't know that' said Glinda gently

Fiyero said nothing more but didn't feel any better.

'So what are we going to do now?' asked Glinda.

'We have a memorial service for Raisha this afternoon and then we will wait until it is safe to go back to the village. In the meantime, we have to find another hiding place. Behind a waterfall is very beautiful but it is humid here and not good for most Animals.' Raydel said.

They all thought about a plan while eating a sandwich. Glinda hadn't eaten all day and was very hungry. Then Fiyero said. 'We can go to Kiamo ko. That is a castle of my parents but nobody lives there. There are many secret passages and it is very large'.

'Where do your parents live?' Raydel asked in surprise.

"In the other castle," Fiyero said as if it was the most normal thing in the world to have two castles

"Oh yes of course." Raydel said sarcastic. 'But is it a good idea he said after a while. We will introduce it to the others.'

'Are you feeling better?' he asked Glinda after they had eaten and drunk.

Glinda nodded. She tried to stand but still felt shaky. 'What time is it actually? Is Elphie back yet? '

'It's around noon.' Fiyero reply.

'No,' Raydel said when he thought about it. 'She should be back by now. She also knows when we are not in the village that we are here. I don't know where she is.'

Fiyero also shake his head. 'The mission may take longer than expected. What was the mission actually?'

'Well she was going to free Animals that were being transferred.'

'But which transfer then? I know nothing.'Fiyero said.

Glinda was getting worried. Elphie hadn't returned yet. Their village had been attacked. Everything went wrong. She began to cry softly. The men did not know what to do.

"Glin maybe nothing is wrong. Do not worry.' Fiyero said as an attempt to comfort Glinda.

Glinda tried to be strong and nodded. 'I'm going to see if I can help someone. Are there any injuries? ' She asked to Raydel.

'Yes, a few. But nothing serious. Just a sprained ankle.'

Glinda nodded. 'Show me the way,'.

Raydel showed Glinda the cave. There was a large room with a kind of kitchen. 'Elphaba and I have arranged the cave so that we can all eat in the same room and that we have different rooms for the Animals. For example, we have a room for the injured and for the children to play alone. In the back is a large spring with warm water. There are flints in the kitchen so we can cook hot. It took us three weeks to set this up,' Raydel explained

That's my girl, Glinda thought. She always thought of a plan. Maybe not always a good plan because all the moisture was indeed not good for your skin and hair but it was something.

During the joint lunch she explained their plan to go to Kiamo Ko. Everyone agreed. It would only take a day of walking. That afternoon they would have a memorial service for Raisha and tomorrow they would leave for Kiamo Ko until Elphaba would return with another plan.

The memorial service was very beautiful. The children had all made a poem and a drawing of Raisha. Raydel had said some nice words. After the service everyone could enjoy a dinner. Everyone was talking to each other when Daniella and Bella came running in.

'Sweet Oz. Fortunately you are here. We thought the worst.' Bella said.

'We couldn't come earlier. We had to work extra for the boss. Then we heard interesting stories that we had to hear from the customers. Can we talk somewhere,' Daniella said.

'Where's Raisha this is going to her too' Bella said as she went around. Usually the old giraffe stood out.

Glinda looked very sad and tears ran down her cheeks. 'We will tell you everything, but somewhere apart from here.' She said softly.

The five of them went to another room.

'What happened?' Daniella asked concerned when she saw everyone looking devastated.

Glinda, Raydel and Fiyero tried to tell everything as best they could. From the sound of the bells to their plan to go to Kiamo Ko. The whole story continues with tears. "We wanted to ask you to tell Elphie where we went when she gets back.' Glinda said.

'Sweet Oz. what a story.' Bella said after a moment of silence.

The girls had tears running down their cheeks. Daniella was being held by Fiyero who had put his arms over her with protection. 'We will miss that old giraffe. She was ... She was ... Daniella began but she couldn't finish her sentence.

"She was our dear grandmother," Glinda said softly with a sad smile. The other looked at her and nodded.

Bella laughed softly. 'Yes she was.'

'I'm sorry.' Fiyero said. 'I feel like it's my fault.'

'It's not your fault,' said four voices at the same time.

'You helped the village flee and betrayed the Gale Force. You did well, Fiyero' said Bella seriously. Her suspicions that Fiyero was a traitor are now gone.

Daniella looked at her best friend and nodded gratefully. 'Bella is right. It was Morrible and possibly the Wizard who gave the order to attack the village.' Daniella said.

'The Wizard?' asked Fiyero in surprise.

'Think about it. Who knew you were going to us? The Wizard. I'm just saying that we should also think about that possibility. Maybe he has nothing to do with it, but I don't trust him yet.' Daniella explained.

Everyone thought about it for a moment. Fiyero held Daniella. Bella and Glinda walked to each other to support each other.

"But what did you want to tell us,' Raydel said, standing alone.

'Oh yeah, Uhm Glinda, maybe you'd like to sit down.' Bella began. Glinda looked surprised but did as asked anyway.

'We were at work yesterday morning when we heard that there were two troops of the Gale Force in the area. Of course we wanted to know more about it, but we couldn't get anything out. We thought it was just a rumor.'

'But that was not so' Daniella interuped softly.

Bella nodded and continued to talk. 'Last night we also heard rumors that a big bubble with slodates had flown to the Emerald city and landed in front of the city. The soldiers had to walk the rest to the palace.'

"I was wondering where the bubble was going to land." Glinda said. "Sorry keep going" she said quickly when she got a look from Bella.

'We thought it was all weird so we didn't do anything with it. But this morning a messenger came into our village with some posters. He was very enthusiastic about telling that the Wicked Witch had finally been captured. yesterday the Wizard had announced it with Morrible. Everyone had received a poster and were allowed to tell it around'

Glinda turned white. He..He ... Wwwhat? ' Glinda stammered.

Then Daniella showed the poster of Elphaba sitting behind the trails with a big ax to her neck. Large on the poster was: This Wednesday the Witch gets what she deserves!

'Bbbut, butt that's Elphie. How is this possible? What happened?' Glinda asked as she got up to take a closer look at the poster, tears running down her cheeks. Then she faints. Raydel barely caught her.

"This is sad news." Raydel said. Fiyero stood with his mouth open. He couldn't believe it. He began to pace.

Glinda opened her eyes. 'Is it true?' she whispered to Raydel as she remembered everything.

Raydel nodded slowly. 'Sorry girl, everything that happened today is real.'

Glinda started to cry.

'THIS can't be right,' Fiyero shouted, hitting the wall hard with his fist. 'This is not possible. I know nothing. They can't just do this.' he said defeated

'Sssh calm down Fiyero this is not your fault. We'll come up with something.' Daniella said. while she rubs his arms. Fiyero shake his head. Tears were in his eyes. Everything went wrong.

'Everyone stay calm,' Raydel said in a fatherly way. 'We know we are going to Kiamo Ko tomorrow because it is a better hideout. It's a day's travel. But we also have to save Green Bean. Traveling to the Emerald city takes two days. We still have three days to come up with something.'

'Three days?' asked Bella surprised? 'There are still four.'

Raydel nodded 'but we're not going to do anything more tonight.' He looked at Glinda who was still crying in his arms. The rest nodded.

Glinda and Fiyero both calmed down a bit.

'I know there is no secret entrance to the dungeons.' Fiyero said dubiously. They were thinking about a plan.

'We have to divide the group in two anyway. Glinda said. 'We can't and to Kiamo Ko and to the Emerald city. If something goes wrong along the way, we lose too much time.' She explained.

The rest nodded. 'Fiyero and I are going to Kiamo Ko and the three of you are going to the Emerald City,' Raydel decided.

'What? Why?' Fiyero asked.

'Because you know the way to Kiamo Ko and I want to save Green Bean so much, I know the Animals need me more.' he explained. 'Glinda is safe with Daniella and Bella' he reassured Fiyero.

Fiyero was not happy. He wanted to save Elphaba but he understood. 'When you are at the palace you have to go to Niguel' he said. Glinda nodded.

'I have a plan,' Bella said suddenly. 'But I don't know if it will work. The execution will of course be a big show. Morrible will probably give a speech about how bad Elphaba is. If we then provide a distraction. Then we can get Elphaba out of there.'

'I thought the same but what I don't understand is why Elphie doesn't use her magic to get away.' Glinda said. The other looked at her in surprise. 'Elphie is often almost caught,' says Glinda with a sigh. 'But often she managed to get out with a magic spel lot help form Chistery. Sometimes she was hurt but she always came home. So what have they done to her that she can't save herself?' Glinda asked loudly.

'That's it' called Fiyero. 'Glinda you are a genius!'

'I know that.' Glinda said. 'Why am I a genius ?'she whispered to Daniella. Daniella shrugged.

'When I wanted to come here I heard two men talking. When they left I walked to their workshop. I saw a carriage with trails and some iron devicewith two plates and screws. It could be the device that keeps Elphaba from freeing herself with magic. Perhaps Morrible has cast a spell on the device so that Elphaba can no longer do anything.' Fiyero quickly explained.

Raydel thinks "It could indeed be something magical that Green Bean cannot free her herself. Then you gotta get that thing off of her wherever it is.'

"Maybe we should find Nessa first. Morrible does not know that we know that Nessa is in the dungeons. Maybe she can help us' said Glinda. The rest nodded.

'Okay so we have some sort of plan,' Raydel said doubtfully. 'Fiyero, you are going to explain to Bella and Daniella how they get to Kaimo Ko. Draw a map or something. We take the Animals to Kaimo Ko.'

'When I'm done there I'll also go to the Emerald City' says Fiyero quick.

'What?' he ask when everyone looked at him. 'I want to mean something and help her. So I'm going to do it.'

Daniella laughed softly. 'You are my hero 'she whispered. Fiyero turned red. Glinda and Bella giggled

'That's possible too,' Raydel said. 'The three of you go to the Emerald city in search of Niguel and Nessa. You are going to find out why Green Bean cannot free itself. If it's Wednesday, you're going to free her with a big distraction. Use the people,' he added. 'The people now believe more that Green Bean is good.'

The other nodded.' It had been a long day,' Fiyero said. 'We are going to try to sleep. The rest have been in bed for a long time.'

Only Raydel left the room. The rest decided to let them all sleep in one room. Glinda in particular was very happy with it. Despite having a plan, she was not happy. They were getting ready to go to bed. After they all wished each other good night, they lay down in their own camp bed.

Oh Elphie where are you she thought. Hold on. We will get there as soon as possible. She fell asleep slowly.

The next morning Glinda woke up early. She change silently so that she did not wake the other. She quickly went to the kitchen to help prepare breakfast. Glinda had slept badly. She kept having nightmares that she couldn't save Elphaba. Each time, Morrible was just before Elphaba we pulled before Glinda could touch her.

'Good morning' Raydel said as he walked into the kitchen.

'Good morning' Glinda said back with a sad smile. They talked a little bit about the plans they made yesterday.

"You have to bring a lot of food with you' Glinda said. 'We don't know if there is food at Kiamo Ko.'

Raydel nodded 'That is a good idea. You too.'

Not much later the others came in. Everyone went to the breakfast table and discussed the last things with each other.

"Fiyero we completely forgot to tell you yesterday but we took your horse with us. He is tied to a tree by the river.' Daniella said.

'What?!' startled Fiyero cried. 'I had completely forgotten him' he said guilty.

'Your excuse is you were very busy' said Daniella. 'I'm sure he understands.' Fiyero nodded

'Uhm Raydel and Fiyero I have to ask you a favor' Glinda said. The two men looked at her seriously and nodded. 'I want you to bring the Grimmerie to Kiamo Ko.'

" I definitely want to do it' Raydel said 'But is it no better to have him with you.'

Glinda shake her head. 'No if something happens Morrible can get his hands on him. Then everything is lost.' Both men nodded understandably.

To Bella and Daniella she says. 'We'll take the bubble to the Emerald City. I can fly low and no one has to see us. That way we conserve our strength and get there faster. The sooner the better in this case.' Glinda was done with feeling useless. She wanted to save Elphaba. She was afraid it was going to get worse than it already was. But as long as she had Elphaba on her side, she could handle anything.

Both girls nod. 'Will you still have enough strength?' Bella asks. Glinda nods determinedly.

'Uhm Glinda' Bella said while they continued to eat. 'Yesterday we didn't have time to give you this either.'

Bella gave a newspaper to Glinda. Glinda read the paper. 'What? How did they get this? Morrible sure. Ooh if I got that fish woman in my hands!' Glinda said furiously.

'What is it?' Fiyero and Raydel asked at the same time.

'Well the newspaper says that Glinda and Elphaba worked together to defeat the Wizard. That is why she got kidnapped. They portray Glinda as a traitor. The newspapers said that Elphaba said it herself.'

'That's pretty clever' Raydel said after a while. Glinda gave him an angry look. 'But it's very mean of her and not true.' He said quickly. 'But we can't do anything about that now.'

Glinda shaked her head. 'Maybe I can reach someone from the news who is trustworthy to tell my story 'Glinda said dubiously

'And what do you mean to say then?' Fiyero asked, surprised.

'That it is not true.'

'And then?' Bella asked, beginning to understand Fiyero's and Raydels side.

'And then? Than ..'

'You cannot say that you went along voluntarily. That Morrible is behind this. No one is going to believe you without proof. You know what the audience is like. You have to tell this yourself and people have to support you. Such as the Wizard, Fiyero and Elphaba.' Glinda looked down, defeated. She was tired of doing nothing.

"Then everything is arranged" said Raydel as everyone has finished breakfast. 'I'm going home to get a cart. then we can transport the elder more easily and the children can rest. Now that we have a horse.'

"That is a good idea. We will go with you said' Bella. 'We can get some clothes for Glinda and some other stuff."

'Why cann't I do that?' asked Glinda surprised.

'You are going to read again in the Grimmerie to make sure you know the most important spells,' said Daniella.

'That's a good idea,'said Glinda after a few seconds.

'I'm going to take care of my horse and then we can leave in two hours.' Fiyero said.

Everyone nodded and went their separate ways. Glinda tried hard to concentrate but her mind kept drifting to Elphaba.

"Where's Elly?' asked a sudden voice.

'Sweet Oz.' Glinda said as she jumped in the air. 'Manny and Elaysa what are you doing here? Don't you guys get ready?' Both kids shake their heads.

'We want to know where Elly is.' Said Elaysa while she pressed her doll close to her. 'She was supposed to read to me last night.' Glinda smiled sadly.

'Elphie is not here.' She said truthfully She had no idea how to tell the childeren how their hero, their friend is going to die in three days for the eyes from all of Oz.

'But where is she then? Why are we leaving without her?' Manny said clearly upset.

'Elphie has run into more problems than she anticipated. But she will be back.'

'Don't you lie,' Manny calls. 'She ... She's dying isn't she? The guards have taken her prisoner. We have to save her and instead of that, you are doing nothing. You loaht her.'He said angrily.

Glinda swallowed. she had no idea how to respond. she knew Manny was just scared. Elaysa began to cry. Glinda walked over to them and started hugging the children.

'I also have a lot of grief. But we're going to save her. We do our best. I'm learning spells to help her.' She said softly. 'Everything will be fine. We all love her and is loves us.'

Manny began to cry softly. He didn't understand but nodded.

Glinda said to Elaysa. 'You can help Elphie by holding your doll tightly. Elphie feels when you hug the doll.' Elaysa looks happy. She can do something to help Elly. She nodded firmly and hugs her doll.

'And you Manny can help her by keeping Raydel on the path. Those guys are bound to make a mistake. you watch them a little while I'm gone.' Manny was already feeling a little better.

'Sorry' he said, looking down at the ground. 'I didn`t mean what I said. I know you love her.'

It is okay, I felt the same when I first heard it. I was very angry with her for being captured. But I'm sure she does to get out. And then we can play and rad with her.'

The children went back to theire friends with a munch better feeling. Glinda went back to work

'You said that nicely to the children.' Glinda was startled again. 'Oz is your goal today to give me a heart attack?'

Fiyero laughed. 'Maybe another time.'

'But one day you will become a good mother. I just wanted to say that. We leave in half an hour.'

Glinda nodded. 'Thank you. We get her back. We have to get her back.'

Fiyero walked over to Glinda and gave her a hug. 'She's the toughest girl in all of Oz. She probably will be dancing around, just like at the Ozdustballroom all those years ago.'

Glinda had to laugh. 'Yes and then I come up next to her to dance with her that silly dance. That is how we save her from her end.'

They both laughed when they thought of Elphabas dance moves.

'We will save her' Fiyero said seriously. Glinda nodded. 'I think so too.'

After half an hour they all said goodbye to each other. Bye and good luck! everyone shouted. As Glinda, Bella and Daniella take off into the bubble.
