Chapter twenty-nine: The White Princess

(Lindsey pov)

As Alice tried to get everyone to panic and fear for their lives, the suits broke through the door.

Guns were going wild from Hatter standing on one of the high stages and Alice on the main stage. Alice and I ducked in cover and fired, hatter eventually came down and hid for cover.

But then, suddenly, he walked through those doors.

"Stop! Your frightening the oysters." Alice father walked in.

"What do you want?" Alice held the gun right at him as he walked to us and the suits stopped firing.

Hatter snuck over to where I was at and was going to get to Alice.

"It's be jellybean." As he said that, i knew, he woke up. "He remembered." I whispered to myself.

"He does?" Hatter questioned.

"You don't remember me." Alice said. "You see this guy, he hood you up. he put you here! And when he's through with you, he'll get rid of you." Alice's hands were shaking. And with her holding a gun, she could really shoot him. "Hatter. Please help her." I begged.

"Way ahead of you." Hatter said and made his way over.

"Isn't that right? Daddy isn't that right?!" Alice was breaking down. I slowly stood up.

"It was a sunday. You were wearing you yellow dress and those black shoes that hurt your feet. Lindsey was still becoming a part of the family. And, as we were returning from the movies, Carol, came out to meet us in the driveway. Told us...Dina was hit by a car."

That day was terrible. I didn't see Alice for hours. She ran into the yard and the only person who found her was him. I went inside and saw poor Dina's body.

I wanted to know who did it. Carol said it was a teenager and he didn't see her coming till last second.

It was like a squirrel reaction.

I went to the house of the kid who did so, and I yelled my heart out at them. And told them how ashamed they should be.

I never told Alice the truth, but Robert, dad knew. He said he knows I'm hurting too. And...

"And no matter how much you want to blame someone else, it doesn't bring them back, or makes you feel any better with the situation." Robert said it as he walked up to Alice and hugged her.

I felt tears in my eyes. He really did remember us.

"Daddy." Alice spoke while crying.

"I'm here sweetheart." He calmed her.

At least for this moment, it was peaceful.

"No!" Robert yelled suddenly, and a gunshot, hit his back.

He slowly went down, I ran to Alice to help him, but she froze, I saw where she was looking, and the other man, bleeding across the room, was pointing his gun at her.

"Alice!" I screamed.

But as the sound went off, I saw Hatter standing next to us.

Alice got down to help her father and I took my own gun and marched over. The others had been released, and the suits and other girls ran.

The whole place was finally, coming down. I pointed my gun at the man between his eyes. I wanted to kill him for taking my only real father away from me.

"Lindsey. Don't." Hatter got behind me with one arm around my waste and the other on my hand to stop me from pulling the trigger.

"He killed...my father!" I shouted. "Look, he's dying already from his other wounds. The ones I put in him. He'll be dead in a minute. Please. Don't do this." Hatter spoke to me like he knew.

"How do you think it felt, when I punched my old friend in the face?" He asked.

He talked about Mark, but that wasn't mark anymore.

I tried to pull the dang trigger, but I couldn't. I felt Hatter trying so hard to stop me. And Alice was crying. Robert, our father was gone forever. And we only had just found him.

"I don't...I don't want...this!" I screamed, letting go of the gun, Hatter pulled me into a tight hug as I cried my eyes out. But the place was shaking. We had to get out of here now.

Hatter ran and got Alice and pulled on us both. He found the way out of the casino and we watched as it started crumbling down.

"We're all out?" Alice called.

Everyone seemed to be. But I wasn't letting anything else happen. I faced the casino and my eyes glowed red. I screamed hitting the ground with my bare hands, and the casino came crashing down. Exploding, so it could never be used or built again.

"It's over." I said.

"It is." Alice said. We wouldn't be the same after this.

"I don't suppose I could have that hug now?" Hatter asked.

Alice and I smiled. He was trying to cheer us up.

"She's there! Get her!" The queen showed up with her daughter Alicia and the suits began coming to us. Hatter pulled me back and the rest came to, but the cop, "Touch the lady and I'll shuffle your deck." he protected us. All of them did. Alice was a true hero.

Maybe...Charlie was right. Not the same Alice, but one of legend for sure.

"What are you doing? Arrest her!" The queen shouted again.

"Take a good look at your queen first. make sure she's worth fighting for." Alice said.

I let her go on like she was the leader. Which she was. I followed her through the looking glass, so she is the leader of this adventure, let her finish this.

"How dare you look at me! She's the one you should be looking at!"

"I'm not the problem." Alice said so with such bravery, I couldn't help but admire her for it. "You are."

"Off with her head!"

"No one is frightened of you anymore. You just one of us now." Alice said.

I was sure she wanted to smirk or something, and then, Chris, Jack, and Duchess appeared.

"Jack! Thank goodness you're here, get everyone to fall in line." The queen ordered.

"Didn't you sentence me to death?" Jack asked.

"Please. I was just doing my job. Come now. Rally the troops." She said.

"No, mother. It's over."

"A good thing too." Chris said.

"I'll say." Maybell and Nadia appeared in front.

"I'll show you." Alicia stood in front and I guessed she was going to use her power. I stood in front of Alice and my eyes glowed red. "No! Your powers will not work on anyone here again!" I shouted, and for some reason, Alicia fell back, onto her knees, and she went into a panic.

Frantically, she got up and then stared at me. "What did you do?!" She asked.

I only protected Alice. My sister.

"She did what any loving family member would do. She protected her sister." Then came a new figure.

Which was...beautiful.

"No! How is that possible?!" The queen demanded.

"Hello Mary. Been a long time. And Alicia, I've already found out your mole inside MY kingdom and disposed of him." She said.

Alicia's face, was more shocked the scared. She was...confused. "You did?" She asked.

"Of course. I'm not stupid." The girl said. "Alice. I am pleased to meet the woman who has beaten the queen of hearts. And in a good amount of time too. The last Alice, she took over a week. You did it in less than three days."

"Who are you?" Hatter asked.

I looked around, Chris, Nadia, and Maybell were all on their knees. I then guessed who she was from her beautiful blue eyes and white hair. "The white princess!"

With that, everyone in wonderland was now kneeling.

"Please. No need for that. I'm not a queen yet. No castle and all. So I'm about as normal as everyone else." She said. "Yes. I am Princess Amelia White. The daughter and heir to the throne, of the white king." She said.

"Your also a cursed child." I said.

"Oh! Dear me. I should have been more clearly. No, you see, we are actually, miracle children. Except for you, Alicia, you are cursed." The princess said.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, your voice, because of your ability, and life, built up in wonderland at birth and growing up in the oysters world, you have become the miracle child of love. Because of the love you and your sister, Alice, feel for one another, you two have become this...all powerful pair. You, dear Lindsey, have had love in you this whole time. Maybe, not from your parents, but from Alice, who's been the one person in your life, you have counted one and has been there for you." She explained.

"So, she just...She took away her powers?" Nadia asked. Pointing to Alicia.

"Yes. Your power Lindsey, has grown so much, that not only can you make the earth shake, but the wind blow, and your voice, becomes command." The princess said.

"So, Alicia, is powerless?" I asked. I wanted to shout with joy but that couldn't have been the case.

Alice then looked to the queen and held her hand out.

The queen looked confused. But she knew the truth. "The ring." Alice said.

"Are you mad? I'd sooner have you cut off my finger."

"That can be arranged." I said. I pulled out the pocket knife that Robert gave to me many years ago. I gave it to Hatter. "You may have the honors." I said with a smirk.

Hatter smiled and took it from me. "Make sure it's a clean cut. I don't want any blood on the ring." Jack said.

Hatter agreed.

The queen then gave up the ring of wonderland. And it was the full and final victory.

Alice held the ring up like a trophy and everyone cheered. The queen was no more.

"Alright then. Suits, I believe the honor is all yours." Said the princess.

"Miss?"

"Take and queen and her daughter someone, where they'll never be found. That will be there temporary prison, till Jack and I build a new combining castle to hold the two of them." She said.

And with that, they were taken away.

"A word, with you two. Jack can make the arrangements for the looking glass." She said to me and Alice.

Alice and I nodded following her on a walk down to the lake.

Jack was already gathering everyone together and doing as he planned.

Alice and I, we didn't know what was happening.

"What is this about?" Alice asked.

"I'm sorry, for your loss. Of your father." She started. "He was a good man when he came to wonderland escaped many times. Some of the oysters where brainwashed like him to serve the queen instead of being drained. Trust me, your father did everything he could. And he loved you both." She said.

I nodded when I noticed the king sitting off on the edge.

"Ah. Allow me to explain. Winston, is my uncle." The princess said. Alice and I looked confused at her.

"My mother and father, the king, truly did love each other, but he couldn't give an heir. So, someone else did. Winston, was one of the original Tweedle twins, when the real and first, Alice came here and stopped the queen. After what his brother did to my mother, the king silenced him. I've already explained it to him more than once, guess now he finally believes me. Winston, would like to remain dead. So, please keep this between the three of us." She said.

Alice and I looked at each other. This was a big wonderland secret. The white kingdom was done for with the king.

"You know, Jack isn't really Winston's son either. Right? The queen, Mary, had another lover before him. And when he passed, due to what happened after Alice dethroned her, she went crazy, had a son, and killed him herself. Than, Winston, came along and met this beautiful woman, and did everything he could, but even if he gave her a daughter, she didn't love him."

"So, Jack and Alicia, are half siblings." I said.

She nodded.

"Why keep this a secret?" Alice asked.

"Wonderland...is does need balance. I'm sure Caterpillar told you that. But not all of it, can be about you oysters. Or, humans." She said. "I'll tell you the biggest wonderland secret, and it's also, how I know your weren't the real Alice from before." She said.

Alice and I looked at each other and nodded. This would be our secret to the gave. This whole thing would be really.

"The real Alice, the one of legend, was actually my mother. She grew up here in Wonderland. Became the queen of the white kingdom, and everyone thought she went home. My father, and her other few friends knew she lived and ruled over the land. The Mad Hatter, and the Hare, and the Door Mouse." She said.

So, she was a descendant of the real legends, and no one knew it. "Why keep THAT a secret than?" I asked.

"Because, the war would have happened much sooner. But we also would have gotten prepared for it." She sighed.

"What is your power?" Alice asked.

"Mine? Oh! Immortality mainly. But I have...my other methods." She said pulling out a sword that changes colors. White, Black, Blue, Red, Purple, Greenish-Yellow, it did it all.

"A magic sword? Like king Arthur?" I asked. "Wrong story." The princess laughed.

"Wait, if your mother was...an oyster..." Alice just put it together, and the princess showed us her green mark on her upper arm.

"Half oyster. It's different for you and Ana." She said.

I shook my head. "Ana or Chris, she isn't..." But since she went back and forth all those years and found Alice and me, and that was how she convinced Jack of...their plan... "Ana was also...absorbed into an oyster?" I asked.

"Bingo! You see, the sun is different in your world, the human world. In wonderland, we don't have much sunlight, and so were more used to a cloudy day everyday. You get most sun everyday and that is how you turn green when light hits you. Our world is more..blue, while yours is big yellow." She explained.

So, because I was use to the sun back in our world, my skin wasn't use to this one and that was why my back turned green.

"So, with that,-"

"Hold on, did you know that I would...cause Alicia to lose her powers?"

"No. But your love for Alice, changed everything. You see, I was the first, and I saw the future of it. The life of six girls, with powers from wonderland being either cursed or becoming a miracle. And that's what you did. As for the others-"

"Doesn't that mean they'll eventually become like me? A full miracle as you put it?"

"Without love in their hearts, they can't. You are an exception, because you didn't grown up in wonderland." She said.

I couldn't believe that...wait. Mine was the love of a sister...what about, a lovers love? Or better yet, a friendship love?!

"I have it!" I yelled.

"What?"

I thought it through, wind, air, breath-breath of life! Maybell could bring Mark back to life! I ran up there and grabbed her arm. "Come with me right now!" I told her.

"What?!"

"Lindsey!" Hatter shouted at me but I ignored him.

I didn't realize he and Alice and the princess were behind me till I stopped to use my powers.

I used them on Mark's body, it shouldn't be hard...I focused on the vibrations on the ground and hoping this would work.

"Charlie!" While behind me, Hatter and Alice found Charlie passed out in the grass.

"What is this about Lindsey?" Maybell asked me.

I smiled as I saw the body with all the pieces of the casino falling off it. "Yes! Come on." I took her hand and brought her to it.

"Mark?"

"Sorry. Bit of an angry issue." I said. "But, you can save him." I said.

She looked at me like I was crazy, but it was in fact true. "You know he's your bestest friend, maybe, with your power of wind, you can give him life again." I explained.

The princess, Hatter, Alice and Charlie were behind us.

"How am I supposed to...give my old friend life? Besides...he was more than that to me." She started crying.

I looked to Hatter, and he knew what I meant. He stepped up and gave her the ring. "I know you asked, but...I think it's time." He said.

She took the ring and cried even more and louder.

"What are you trying to do?" The princess asked in an irritated tone.

I looked around hoping something would be happening.

But than, Charlie gave me something. "Your words, if I'm right, could get this to work. And help. Without a head..." He said with a grin.

I took the old pocket watch from him. It was stuck. Wait...this looked just like...the white rabbit! This was how Alice, the white queen, aged so well and lived her life here in wonderland!

"Please." I whispered to the watch I held. "Work. Turn back time, give Maybell the chance, to breath life back into the body of her lover." I said.

And in a flash of light, it did just that. Whistling echoed as the clock turned. and the body that was Mark March, wasn't broken anymore, nore was he headless.

As it slowed to a stop, Maybell was in shock, but again she tried. All her might of wind, and she used it to save him.

And I was...right!

"What?!" Once the clock was done and Maybell was on the ground. Mark...was looking around in shock. "Where am I? I was...oh dear me. How many lives...that witch! I'll have HER HEAD if...David? Maybell?!" He noticed us around. And I cheered with joy. "Maybell. Your love for Mark saved him. With the ring and your tears from you heart, he came back. With a little rabbit luck." I said holding the witch.

"Mark!" Maybell was so happy, she hugged him tight dropping the ring in the rubble. There was no need for it.

And it wouldn't be found again.

"You are something else, Lindsey." The princess said. "How did you know that she would be the one to do that?"

I smiled. "I have Alice, which is a sisterly love. There's more than one way, to love a person." I said.

While I originally thought it would be friendship, love love, worked better anyway.

"I'm alive!" Mark shouted

"Lindsey, you saved my friend. Thank you." Hatter smiled.

I bowed to him. "Anything for the crazy Hatter of Wonderland." I teased.

"Alice...oh!" Jack had just come to find us and saw Mark was back. "How is that possible?"

"I'll explain, best I can." I said and we headed down from the casino rubble, and onward, to get me and Alice home...I think.

Wait, did we really even want to go home?
