We open to Robin, Starfire, Raven, Jinx, Kid Flash and Cyborg still trapped in the room Beast Boy locked them in, in the last episode. Robin was slamming his body against the door to see if he could break them, but no success.

"Ok, this has never happened before." Said Kid Flash. "Beast Boy locked us up in a room that drained our powers and all because of some hallucinations driving him insane! What good does he think will come to this?"

"I don't know, but he has been acting weird for the last few weeks." Jinx replied.

"Now you point that out?" Asked Cyborg.

"Yeah, I only just assumed he was being...Beast Boy." Jinx replied.

"So the fear toxin did work after all?" Asked Raven.

"Maybe, now that he's hallucinating Slade." Cyborg replied.

"I have two questions: How long has he been hallucinating Terra?" Jinx asked.

"I have been noticing he's been acting weird after we entered his head when he couldn't wake up." Kid Flash replied.

"Maybe that was when he was hallucinating Terra." Cyborg theorised.

"I guess destroying Terra in his dream had some side effects." Raven theorised.

"What's question 2?" Cyborg asked Jinx.

"What did Robin mean by 'I thought this day would never come?" Jinx asked as she turned to Robin, who appeared to have given up. "Well, Robin. What are you hiding?"

Robin turned to face his teammates, with a look of shame plastered on his face.

"What are you hiding Robin?" Asked Raven.

Robin sighed and gave Starfire a look asking her 'Should we tell them?' His alien girlfriend gave him a nod and she stared at her friends, feeling sad.

"Robin is not the only one who was hiding secrets, I have also known of the possibility of Beast Boy hallucinating Terra." Starfire's explanation made the Titans eyes wide in shock.

"You knew as well?!" Cyborg exclaimed.

"Do you want us to hate you?!" Shouted a surprisingly angry Kid Flash.

"You can make up an opinion once me and Star explained ourselves." Robin replied.

"Well, I can't hate you since you kept keeping secrets from me and Donna during our recon missions." Kid Flash retorted.

"Well to start, the fault was yours friend Kid Flash." Starfire said.

Kid Flash raised his hands in defence and said, "Ok, how was it my fault you knew?"

"Remember the day where you threw a bomb at us and Star?" Robin asked Kid Flash.

"Oh yeah, you told us how awful it was." Said Kid Flash. "Especially me marrying my ex."

"Yeah and I died." Cyborg retorted.

"And I became a librarian, which isn't all too bad." Jinx retorted.

"And I went crazy." Raven retorted sadly.

"There were some details we left out." Robin explained. "According to The Flash, AKA you, Kid Flash..." Kid Flash gave a small wave. "..."Beast Boy went crazy because of the Terra hallucinations and he became Slade's apprentice in order to get rid of them. And at one point..." Robin stared at Raven. "...You stopped them."

"How?" Asked Raven. "I don't think there's a spell that can do the trick."

"There is not." Starfire explained.

"How do you know?" Raven asked.

"You stopped those hallucinations by killing Beast Boy." Robin sadly replied to the empath. The news made Raven stare at her leader in fear.

"What?" Asked Raven.

"I'm sorry." Robin apologised.

"No, no. This can't be true." Raven nervously said, in fear.

"Raven, you know I'm telling the truth." Said Robin.

"I know." Raven retorted.

"But, wait wasn't that a possible future?" Asked Jinx.

"The only thing we didn't let happen was mine and Robin's relationship." Said Starfire.

"And why did neither of you tell us about Beast Boy hallucinating Terra?!" Raven asked angrily. "If you told us about this than none of this would never have happened, Beast Boy won't be Slade's apprentice in the future and I won't be the one to kill him!"

"Me and Starfire wanted to be sure and if we told everyone else, than he'd get suspicious." Robin replied.

"Oh of course you didn't tell anyone else but your girlfriend!" Raven shouted. "Why didn't you tell me, I've been a sister to you for years! Or Kid Flash, your so called best friend! What about Cyborg, he's also been like a sibling to you! Jinx...Is pretty understandable."

"Well we just learnt from Beast Boy me and Star aren't the only ones who keep secrets, what did Beast Boy say about you knowing a way of bringing Terra back?" Robin asked Raven, angrily this time.

Raven dropped her head in shame, but still keeping her eyebrows furrowed. "Was there a way of bringing her back Raven?" Cyborg asked.

Raven looked away from her friends and took deep breath. "There is." Raven confirmed.

Robin, Cyborg and Starfire's eyes went wide when Raven confirmed this. "If there was a way, why did you not do it?" Asked Starfire.

"I tried to use the spell, but reading in more into it, I discovered that there are two consequences to this kind of spell. It can go two ways, one way is after you use the spell, you die. Another is immortality."

"Is the reason why you didn't wanna release her because you'd die?" Asked Kid Flash. "If I was you, I don't care if I would've died."

"I would." Said Jinx.

"I didn't wanna do it just in case I die, I didn't want the consequence to be immortality." Raven replied.

"Why not immortality?" Jinx asked. "Not dying sounds pretty sweet to me."

"It does, until you realise the consequences." Raven explained. "I didn't want to do the spell for the fear of immortality, because I'll not die while you all die and I'll be forced to watch."

Robin gave his teammate a sympathetic look, understanding why she didn't want to do it.

"Raven, even if you told us sooner we would've understood." Starfire assured her.

"And what about you two?" Asked Raven. "You decided to hide something so important and now Beast Boy is probably going to die! Because of you two!"

"I'm sorry Raven." Robin apologised.

"I thought we weren't going to have secrets Robin, but you blew it." Raven said, sternly.

"Raven-"

"Don't say anything unless you have a plan on getting all of us out." Raven interjected.

"Did someone say plan on getting us out?" Kid Flash asked as he pulled a exploding disk from one of the shelves.

"And you didn't mention anything because?" Jinx asked.

"I wanted people to hear what everyone was hiding." Kid Flash explained. "I'm going to need everyone to stand back." Everyone stood far from the door, Cyborg need to be pushed away from the impact while Kid Flash pushed the 'S' symbol on the bomb and placed it on the door. He ran to join the others and quickly put his two fingers in his ears. After about 13 seconds, there was an explosion and the door was blown off.

The Titans, except for Cyborg, ran out of the room and started to admire they got their powers back.

"My powers." Jinx exclaimed as her hands glowed pink.

Kid Flash started to run around in a 360 circle at top notch speed. "I'm fast again!"

"I'm stuck in here!" Cyborg shouted from inside the secret room.

"Oh, sorry." Kid Flash apologised and ran into the room and pushed Cyborg out. "Alright Tin Man, can you move your arms?" Cyborg suddenly smacked Kid Flash on the back of his head. "Yup, you can."

"Ok Robin, what's the plan?" Jinx asked. "Or is it going to be another super top secret plan you'll only keep to yourself and Starfire?"

Robin rolled his eyes at Jinx's question and replied, "We need to find out where Beast Boy is heading. Cyborg, can you pick up a trace on his tracker?"

Cyborg typed on his wrist and a holographic projection of the city map is presented. "According to my scanners, he's in here with us."

The Titans start looking around the room to see if they could catch a glimpse. "Either your tech is being faulty again or he's invisible or he's a fly." Kid Flash theorised.

"Or maybe he has officially joined Slade." Jinx said as she pointed to the couch.

Robin walked up to the couch and picked up a lone T-Communicator, hinting that Beast Boy appears to have quit the Titans. "We're too late I think he's about to join him."

"So plan is..." Cyborg asked.

"Search for Beast Boy before he joins Slade and find out what Slade and Scarecrow are planning." Robin replied. "We start by trying to find Beast Boy before-"

"Before what?" A sinister voice interjected. The Titans turned to trace the sinister voice and see Slade, sitting on the window. "Before Beast Boy becomes my apprentice? Honestly, with the way things have gone between the gang, I could see him taking your's and Terra's place as my apprentice."

"Slade." Robin hissed as he gave his arch-enemy a strong glare.

"Hello Titans, it's been too long. Too long that you decided to get two new members." Slade said, taking notice of Kid Flash and Jinx.

Slade stood up and started to slowly walk around the Teen Titans, still keeping an eye on them; the Titans did the same as their arch-nemesis

Starfire aimed a threatening starbolt at the mercenary. "What ever you have planned for friend Beast Boy, you will not fulfil it."

"Beast Boy will just be my side benefit, what you should be worried about is what me and Scarecrow have planned." Slade explained.

"What are you planning?" Raven asked.

"With me working with Scarecrow, I'd think it would be obvious." Slade replied.

"So you two are planning to release another cloudburst?" Cyborg asked.

"Well done, only it will be bigger this time." Slade said.

"Wait, what about that tree Cyborg awakened during the last cloudburst?" Kid Flash queried. "Didn't that get rid of the last cloudburst?"

"Doesn't hurt to try again." Slade commented.

"We will stop you Slade." Robin snarled. "No matter what!"

"There is a possibility of you stopping our plan, but what I want to see is Raven's face when she sees what Beast Boy will turn out to be." Slade said.

"Don't let him get to you Raven." Robin whispered.

"And don't try and avoid this one Robin, the fault is yours and Starfire's as well." Slade said as he pulled out his bo-staff, preparing for one of them to attack. "Whatever happens next between me and your green teammate will be the quite the spectacle and I really hope you'll be there to see it. Because he wouldn't have been my apprentice if Raven told him sooner about the spell to free Terra and Robin could've stopped things if he only saw the signs sooner than later." While Slade spoke, Raven was clenching her fists in anger, allowing Slade to get under her skin. "Of course, once Beast Boy's time as my apprentice is over, Raven will have to kill him in order to put him out of his miserable ordeal."

Raven's eyes started to glow bright red in anger at Slade's words. "Raven, remain calm." Starfire requested.

"Oh, you know it must happen don't you Raven?" Slade asked. "You know you must kill him in order to put him out of his misery, don't you? Aren't you going to imagine the look on his eyes when he begs you to end his life once and for all. And how will you react, will you be cold and be glad he's gone? Or will you feel some sort of pity for your best friend? I like to think you'll make your father proud if you did so."

"Enough!!!!!!!" Raven screamed as she shot some magic out of her hands towards Slade, who dodged it as quick as he did.

Cyborg quickly fired a shot at Slade, but the merc quickly dodged the blast by performing a backflip.

Starfire tried to tackle him, but the merc kicked the Tamaranean across the apartment.

Jinx and Robin both performed an air kick, trying to hit Slade. The merc hit Robin with his bo-staff; while Jinx finally hit him with a hex. The hex did nothing and Slade threw a hard disk, Jinx performed some flips to avoid it, but the disk then hit Kid Flash, who was running at top speed.

"Ow." Said the young speedster.

Cyborg used his sonar gun to try and knock Slade down, Slade threw a throwing star at Cyborg, causing it to be lodged in his shoulder.

Kid Flash started running towards Slade, he felt confident he could take him out due to his super speed. But Slade somehow predicted this and hit the young speedster in the face with his staff.

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Raven shouted as she levitated the TV and hurled it towards Slade, causing a crack in his mask.

Robin threw a birdarang at his arch-nemesis, while Jinx threw a hex blast, Starfire fired a starbolt, Cyborg fired a shot from his laser cannon while Kid Flash just threw a plate.

Slade placed his hands on his face, hinting his mask was broken. Raven flew towards him and grabbed him by the shoulders. "Do you want to anger me some more?!" Raven angrily asked.

"Raven, you're letting him get to you!" Robin exclaimed.

"Says you!" Raven shouted.

"And what do you intend to do to Slade?" Starfire asked.

"Taking him out, permanently." Raven replied as her eyes glowed red.

"Raven, killing won't-"

Raven turned to Robin and gave him a demonic hiss. "Still got a bit of your father in you?" Slade asked as he removed his hands from his face, which turned out to be a robotic skeleton. Raven let go of the skeleton as it sprayed something in her face.

"Raven!" Robin shouted as he ran towards his empathic teammate.

Raven dropped to her knees and started rubbing her face.

"Raven?"

Raven stopped rubbing her face and replied, "I'm fine."

"You sure Raven?" Cyborg asked. "That looked like fear toxin."

"I have had my experiences with it and I appear to be immune." Raven assured her bionic teammate.

"Raven, I advise you get checked up by Cyborg." Robin suggested.

"Why should I listen to your advise after the stuff with Beast Boy?!" Raven exclaimed. "If you told me about what Beast Boy was doing, none of this wouldn't have happened!l

"Raven, please. Me and Robin are-"

"Sorry Star?!" Raven exclaimed. "Guess you would be. I get you wanted to be sure and you didn't want anyone else to know in fear of drawing suspicion, but you could have told me, I might've tried to do something."

"Raven I-"

"Sorry." Raven interjected Robin. "I know Robin and I know you mean it sincerely, I feel it from you"

"Raven, I only wish I saw the signs earlier, that way I would've tr-"

"Save the excuses Robin." Raven demanded. "It's my mistake as much as it's your's and Star's." Raven then took a breath to calm herself down. "So, what's the plan?"

Robin sighed. "Cyborg, take Raven to the infirmary to see if she's infected with the fear toxin; Starfire and Jinx will try and look for clues to Beast Boy's whereabouts; and Kid Flash and I will interrogate Scarecrow."

"You got it." Kid Flash said, giving a reluctant nod to his best friend. "Come on future Robin." Kid Flash said as he picked up Robin and ran out of the apartment.

"Come along Raven." Cyborg said as he patted his empathic teammate on the back.

While walking out of the apartment, Raven looked outside the window wondering where her green teammate was.

Meanwhile, in some abandoned alley, Beast Boy was reading the book of Vetiti to try and find the map to the spell. "Where is it?" Beast Boy asked flicking through the pages. "Maps can't be hard to find!"

"Are you happy with yourself?" The Terra hallucination asked angrily.

"No, because finding this map is hard." Beast Boy replied.

"I'm not talking about the map, I'm talking about what you did to your friends!" Terra exclaimed.

"Don't you mean acquaintances?"

"Beast Boy, Raven probably kept it from you for a good reason." Terra theorised. "What good could bringing me back do to your psyche?"

"For starters, I will get the real you back and second, it will definitely get rid of you!"

"Beast Boy, listen to me!" The hallucination demanded. "You can't trust Slade, hallucination or not."

"I know Slade has been bad on the team, but I think he actually wants to help." Beast Boy replied.

"Beast Boy, don't you see that you're too desperate?!" Terra asked. "Maybe the hallucination is using it to his advantage!"

"Shut up Terra!" Beast Boy demanded. "You yelling at me isn't going to help me find the map." Beast Boy exclaimed.

"The best way to find the map is with UV lights." The hallucination of Slade interjected.

"UV lights?" Asked Beast Boy.

"The funny blue lights that show germs and bacteria." Terra explained.

"Where do we find UV lights?" Asked Beast Boy.

"I noticed some back at Marrow's apartment, I suggest you go there." Slade replied.

"Alright." Said Beast Boy before he turned into a hawk and carried the book in his claws. After about 25 seconds of flying, he saw the apartment and flew through the window to see Slade pointing to a stick.

When he turned back into his regular human form, he saw a broken Slade bot and the open weapons room. "How did they get out?" Beast Boy asked.

"Well, there were explosive disks in that room." Slade said.

"I thought they were deactivated." Beast Boy retorted.

"I thought they were too." Slade replied. "Enough of that, put the book on the table and pick up a stick."

Beast Boy approached the small table and placed the book on it. The green Titan picked up a UV stick and pushed the on switch.

"Now, hover it over the book."

Beast Boy did as Slade requested and saw it revealed a drawing of a cave in the middle of the ocean. "A cave?" Asked Beast Boy.

"Turn the page, there could be more." Slade requested.

Beast Boy turned the page while holding the UV stick in the other and saw a drawing of all the scene continents and a spot marking 'X.'

"That's miles out in Jump City." Said Beast Boy. "That's like all the way out in Happy Harbor."

"You can turn into a bird, right?" Slade asked.

"Yeah." Beast Boy replied.

"Well, throw away the book, turn into the mammal and start flying." Slade demanded as he disappeared.

"Ok, bye book." Beast Boy threw away the book, turned into a Hawk and started flying. "Happy Harbor, here I come."

Meanwhile, at the tower.

Starfire and Jinx were looking around in the souvenir room to see if there were any clues.

"I don't understand, why would Beast Boy put his faith in a hallucination of our sworn enemy?" Asked Starfire.

"Maybe it wouldn't have happened if you and Robin were honest." Jinx snapped.

"Me and Robin are sorry." Starfire said.

"You better Star, I thought this was a team." Jinx said.

"Friend, I know you are upset."

"I'm not upset, I'm quite furious." Jinx said with her arms folded.

"What will it take for you and I to be friends again?" Starfire asked.

"Star, we're still friends." Jinx assured her. "It's just I'm mad you and Robin kept this secret from the team. Me and Raven could've tried to help."

"We weren't sure if he was."

"I know, but I would've known if you told me." Jinx explained. "Because I have been noticing he was acting strange and so have the others, but we didn't know it was something like this."

"Do you forgive us?" Starfire asked.

Jinx gave her alien teammate a smile and said, "Of course I forgive you. But Robin might take some convincing from either him or Kid Flash."

"Well I hope you can come to a conclusion soon enough." Starfire said as Jinx gave her friend a small smile.

Jinx's smile soon vanished once she sees something. "Hey, did Kid Flash by any chance take any souvenirs from Marrow's apartment?" Jinx asked.

"Not that I recall." Starfire replied.

Jinx picked up a small cube that looked similar to the holographic cube Cyborg found at Vincent Marrow's apartment.

Starfire then gasped and shouted, "Where is Terra?!" Starfire points to where the Terra statue would have been standing, but it wasn't there.

Meanwhile.

Beast Boy was in hawk form flying towards the cave, he had been flying for a considerably long time because he was very tired. But he knew if he was going to crash, he would be crashing into the ocean below him. He soon saw the Slade hallucination.

Beast Boy crash landed on the cliff Slade was standing by and took a lot of heavy breaths.

"Take your breath son." Slade advised. "The hard parts come soon."

"Beast Boy, I still don't think this-"

"Shut up!" Beast Boy shouted to the Terra hallucination.

"Terra hallucination?" Slade asked.

"Yup." Beast Boy confirmed.

"Lucky I can't see her pestering you." Slade said.

"Yeah, lucky." Said Beast Boy.

Beast Boy continued to take some breaths as he laid on the rocky surface. He felt so exhausted from flying that he could drink the entire ocean.

"How much longer do you need?" Asked a somehow impatient Slade.

"Hey, you were the one who made me fly all the way to Happy Harbor." Beast Boy pointed out. "So chances are, I was going to be very exhausted."

"Well you better hurry up soon. We have a lot of work to do."

"Yeah, I know." Beast Boy got up and took a big stretch. He looked up and briefly saw the orange wing of what appeared to be the T-jet, but he just passed it off as him hallucinating from exhaustion, since he had been flying for a very long time.

Beast Boy and the merc entered the cave which looked very dark, gloomy and empty once they entered.

"Looks dark." Beast Boy commented. "Is there a light switch?"

"Why would a cave have a light switch?" The Terra hallucination queried.

"I meant one of those switches on the floor you see in a General Jones movie."

"Pressure pad." Slade said as the two stopped.

"Thanks Slade." Beast Boy said.

"I wasn't correcting you." Slade pointed to a pressure pad in front of Beast Boy's foot.

"Oh." Beast Boy pressed his foot on the pressure pad and that caused torches attached to walls to be lit, like something supernatural.

"Ok, now there's light." Said Beast Boy."

The Titan and the hallucination walked deeper into the cave and see an archway that lead to another archway in front of them, but separating the two from the second archway was a huge chasm in front of them with no bridge in sight.

"Easy peesy." Said Beast Boy before he turned into an eagle and flew towards the next archway, Slade soon followed looking like he was walking on thin air.

"Next task." Slade said as he started walking with Beast Boy soon following.

"How do you know there's more tasks?" Asked Beast Boy.

"You've never seen an adventure movie?" Slade asked.

"You do have a point." Said Beast Boy.

The two continue walking down the cave while the torches attached to the walls automatically lit up with every meter they took. The two soon stopped once they saw three dark holes on the ground.

"Ok, what do we do here?" Asked Beast Boy.

Slade bent down on one knee and sees written passage carved into the ground below them. "Three holes in front of you, one leads to a fiery inferno, the other leads to a hard surface and the most important one will gently take you to the final task."

"Is there a clue?" Beast Boy asked.

"Right, I assume it's back to the tower." Suggested the Terra hallucination.

"No." Beast Boy's reply made Terra frown.

Beast Boy stood in place thinking about the riddle that they had received. "What do you think the third one meant?" Beast Boy asked. "Could the more important one be not what it seems?"

"And Raven said you were the idiot." Slade commented.

"I sometimes surprise myself when I use my brain." Beast Boy said. He noticed some small rocks nearby, picks one up and throws it in the first hole, but the rock didn't fall it just didn't move. Beast Boy threw another one and discovered the hole was actually a platform.

"Hmm, I wonder what the other ones do?" Beast Boy threw another rock in the second hole, discovering it was just a regular hole. Then he threw another one in the third hole and a stream of fire briefly shot out. "That's what the first ones mean."

"Get on." Slade demanded.

Beast Boy and Slade get on the platform and started to go down like an elevator. "Would be less intimidating with elevator music." Beast Boy commented.

Robin and Kid Flash were walking down the corridor that lead to Scarecrow's cell.

"So, any reason why this secret was kept from me?" Asked Kid Flash.

Robin sighed. "I don't know."

"Don't know?!" Kid Flash exclaimed. "There must be a good reason why you didn't tell me."

"If this is because of your title of my best friend-"

Kid Flash groaned. "It's not because of our friendship, I thought we were a team! Do you have any idea how arrogant that sounds when the only person you told about the future is your girlfriend?"

"We went to the future too." Robin reminded Kid Flash.

"But you still told her to keep the secret." Kid Flash shouted.

"Why are you so angry about this, Wally?" Robin asked.

"Because secrets like this is exactly why our first team fell apart! This was why Donna, Artemis and Zatanna left! Because of you!"

Robin looked away from his best friend to stare at Scarecrow's cell. "I'm sorry, Wally."

"Isn't that what you said the first two times?" Kid Flash asked. "Excluding the 'Wally' part. Y'know, for somebody who strayed away from being with 'you know who' you sure are acting a lot like him by keeping your teammates in the dark, like he does!"

Robin stopped and clenched his hand on the door handle. "Don't you dare compare me to him!" Robin angrily demanded.

Kid Flash crossed his arms and followed his 'best friend' into Scarecrow's cell.

"Oh look what we have here, the bird boy and a poor excuse for The Flash." Said Scarecrow.

"Says the guy who teams up with the deadliest man in the world." Said Kid Flash.

"Do you mean Lex Luthor?" Scarecrow asked.

Robin pulled up a chair so he can be at eye level with the mad doctor. "What did Slade promise you?"

"What else would a merc with all the money in the world promise me?" Scarecrow asked. "He's helping me with the next level of cloudburst."

"Wait, Cloudburst happened, we stopped it." Kid Flash pointed out.

"We've had backups." Scarecrow said.

"So wait, somewhere in the city there's a bomb waiting for detonation?" Asked Kid Flash.

"Yes." Scarecrow replied. "He's been a good sport and helping me out with testing my fear toxin."

"For a villain he's actually complying." Kid Flash sniffed the air. "Is it just me, or do I smell a trap?"

"No trap I assure you." Scarecrow said.

Robin rolled up Scarecrow's sleeve and looks at the mad doctor's arm. The boy wonder notices an injection mark, meaning somebody injected him with something.

"Truth serum." Scarecrow said. "He slipped truth serum into me."

"Who did?" Robin asked. "Vincent Marrow or Slade?"

"Don't you mean Slade Marrow?" Scarecrow asked.

It took a bit of time for Robin to understand what Scarecrow was implying. "They're the same person?"

"That's right." Scarecrow confirmed.

"Of course!" Robin realised. "Slade must've taken that name as a pseudonym so he can pass off as a security guard, unnoticed."

"I got the point, I didn't need audio commentary." Kid Flash said.

"How has Slade been helping you test out the fear toxin?" Robin asked.

"I'll start from the beginning." Scarecrow replied. "It all started two years ago, Slade and I met in a prison cell. He was dressed as a security guard while I, was inside my cell. He took a liking to me and asked me to make him a special toxin to remind the you that even in death, he is here. And when his death came, I released the toxin."

"So, the stuff that was killing me was made by you?!" Robin angrily asked.

"Who else could make you hallucinate something like Slade?" Scarecrow replied. "Because you're greatest fear Robin, is failing to stop Slade and that fear was killing you."

Robin punched Scarecrow hard in the face that he fell off his chair. The Boy Wonder was about to do it again, until Kid Flash stopped him. "Is this who you are?!" Kid Flash asked.

"Maybe I should reconsider!" Robin shouted.

"Now, shall we continue with what happened next?" Scarecrow asked as he sat back on his chair. "Months after the incident with the toxin, Slade somehow came back. He made some deal with an intergalactic demon that didn't go too well. He came to me because he had one thing on his mind, revenge. I promised I'd help him with his revenge, only if he helps me with my plans."

"What is his plan?" Robin asked.

"All in good time." Scarecrow replied. "Remember our first encounter?"

"Yeah and firstly, thanks for the nightmares." Kid Flash said.

"I wasn't just there to steal some ingredients for my fear toxin, I was there to test out my hallucinogenic toxin I had embedded on syringes attached to my fingers. The toxin itself isn't fear toxin, it's just a special kind of toxin that will make you hallucinate the things that have been on ones minds."

"How was it killing them?" Robin asked.

"Killing who?"

"Starfire and Beast Boy." Robin replied.

"So, it has a nasty side effect?" Scarecrow pulled a sinister grin. "I knew it anyway. I had somebody being my eyes and ears whilst in prison."

"Slade." Robin hissed.

"You really have his detective skills."

"Wait, how did the two hallucinate the same thing at the same time?" Kid Flash asked.

"That I had no idea about." Scarecrow said. "I could say their blood cells collided, but that does seem unlikely."

"Please, I have super speed and you make fear toxin, and you're calling it 'unlikely?' Kid Flash asked.

"What is Slade planning?"

"I'll get to that moment." Scarecrow replied. "Now, we get to the cloudburst. Months of planning, millions of dollars; only to be ruined by Mother Nature. Now, we get to the part we're waiting for. After Slade broke me out and updated me on the effects of the toxin, I decided to make a less lethal version. The version Slade injected into Beast Boy's blood stream while all seven of you were asleep for whatever reason."

Robin clenched his fists in anger, now knowing why Beast Boy was hallucinating Terra. "So that's why Beast Boy was hallucinating Terra, Slade! But why?"

"He thought he was a fantastic subject." Scarecrow replied.

"What else did he do?!" Robin angrily asked, now grabbing Scarecrow by the collar.

"He was looking for a book!" Scarecrow replied, nervously.

"What book?!" Robin exclaimed angrily.

"I'll be leaving." Kid Flash said, knowing that Robin was probably going to be too aggressive to calm down. The speedster exited the cell and noticed his T-Communicator was beeping, he answered it and saw Jinx on the screen. "Hey slowpoke, what's up?"

Jinx rolled her eyes at the embarrassing nickname. "What did we say about the nickname?"

"Sorry." Kid Flash apologised.

"Anyway, calling to ask, did you by any chance take one of those funny shaped cubes we found at the apartment as a souvenir?" Jinx asked.

"It came to my mind, but it left once we were trapped." Kid Flash replied. "Why?"

"We found one." Jinx replied as she showed one of them to the speedster.

"Where did you find it?" Kid Flash asked.

"Storage-"

"Souvenir." Kid Flash interjected.

Jinx rolled her eyes. "Souvenir room."

"There we go." Said Kid Flash. "Ok, I don't remember putting that there."

"Also, the T-Jet and Terra are missing missing do you know anything about that?" Jinx asked.

"No." Kid Flash replied before an angry Robin exited Scarecrow's cell.

Kid Flash hung up and turned to face his best friend. "Robin?"

"We need to find Beast Boy!"

"What's wrong?" Asked Kid Flash.

"He's in danger!" Robin shouted in fear.

Meanwhile.

Beast Boy and the Slade hallucination were still riding the rock elevator, still going down after a very long time.

Beast Boy looked bored whilst Slade looked calm. "Dude, how long till we get to the bottom?"

"This elevator hasn't been in use for hundreds of years, so you have to give it time." Slade replied.

After a few more minutes, the elevator made it to the bottom. In front of them was an ancient looking door with a passage written in English on the door frame.

The two walked up to the door and looked up at the English passage. "You may only enter unless you say the word in the language of the one who turns one into stone." Beast Boy read out loud.

"It's probably referring to that creepy snake leads Medusa." The Terra hallucination theorised.

"It's referring to Medusa." Slade replied.

"How do you know?" Beast Boy asked.

"The most famous monster known to turn people to stone is obviously Medusa." Slade replied. "It wants you to say what Medusa is in the Greek language."

"And you know this..."

"Look at the way it is written." Slade pointed out. "It's written in English, but in the style of Greek handwriting." Beast Boy gave the hallucination a surprised look. "I've been around the world, taught myself some new languages as I did."

"We know Medusa is a snake lady, but what is the perfect way to describe her in Greek?" Beast Boy asked.

"Snake lady?" The Terra hallucination suggested.

"It should be less obvious. She's no witch, I wouldn't describe her as a monster...Wow, imagine if the Titans reacted to me using my brain." Beast Boy stood in place thinking until an idea came to his head. "θηρίο." After Beast Boy said the word, the huge stone door opened by itself.

Slade stood amazed at Beast Boy for what he just said. "Impressive."

"Doom Patrol were very educational people." Beast Boy replied. "I learnt Greek because that was the only one I was interested in."

The two walked into the room which looked pretty empty, except for a knight in the centre of the room, a huge sword on one corner and a piece of paper in the other side. Beast Boy stared at Slade, who then motioned him to approach the knight.

Beast Boy begrudgingly approached the knight, who looked old, old enough to be his great, great, great grandfather. "Um...Excuse-"

The knight quickly turned around, startled by the sudden appearance of the green Titan.

The Knight stared at Beast Boy, unsure if what he was seeing was really there. He placed a hand on the Titan's face and then smiled. "I thought the eyes were being nothing but deceiving." The Knight said. "You are the one, at least I hope you are."

"Who are you?" Asked Beast Boy.

"I am the protector of this spell." The Knight replied. "I have kept this spell in here for over 900 years."

"Why haven't you thought about going out?" Beast Boy asked.

"I feared it could end up in the wrong hands." The knight replied. "You...I have a good feeling about you. You have a strong heart, a jester, yet selfless." The knight smiled at the green Titan, having this strong good feeling about him. "You wish for this spell?"

"Yeah." Beast Boy replied. "Have you used it?"

"Why do you think I've been in here for 900 years?" The knight replied. "I knew it was too late to know the risks."

"What are you talking about?" Beast Boy asked.

"You don't know the risks?" The Knight asked confused. "Then how did you know of the spell?"

"A hallucination of my arch-nemesis, Slade told me about it." Beast Boy replied. "The page showed me the spell and what it did."

"The risks were on the next page if I recall." The knight replied.

"What are they?"

"From what I've seen, death and my curse, immortality." The knight replied.

"Dude, immortality sounds awesome!" Beast Boy shouted.

"It is not. Unless you wish to watch your friends, your children, your wife, die." The knight replied. "To some immortality sounds like a gift, but in fact, it's a curse. The sword over there, is used to kill those who are immortal. I am too weak to perform the task myself due to my age and I get a sense that you don't have the strength to kill, but after you take the spell, could you be so kind as to help me kill myself?"

"Wait, if the spell could have those side effects than that means..." The green Titan looked to the Terra hallucination who looked terrified. "...She did care about Terra, she was looking out for herself, she probably would've died to save her if it wasn't for that darn immortality. I can't take it."

"What?!" Slade angrily shouted.

"I won't use it Slade hallucination." Beast Boy exclaimed. "Besides, the Terra hallucination was right, if I brought her back, her sacrifice would have been for nothing. I won't be selfish and bringer her back, this man is right, I am selfless and I'm too selfless to let myself become immortal and watch my friends die. I've watched one family die Slade, I won't watch another if I gain immortality."

Slade narrowed his eyes and then said, "So be it."

"Since you aren't taking the spell, could you or the much older gent take the sword and put me out of my misery." The Knight asked.

"My thought exactly." Before the knight could react, he felt a sharp pain in his chest, something he had never felt ever since he became immortal. The old man looked up and saw Slade was the one who did the task.

"Thank you." The knight said before Slade pulled the sword out and allowed the man to collapse.

Beast Boy was horrified at the sight, not only because he saw the old knight get killed in front of his eyes, but the hallucination of Slade was actually in front of him all along.

"So you're not an hallucination." Beast Boy said angrily.

"I had to make you get here somehow." Slade said. "If I revealed myself to be the physical me, you would've said no by the second. Good thing Scarecrow injected you with apple juice in order to make the hallucinations more believable."

"Well you got me Slade, and I change my mind!" Beast Boy shouted. "I am getting out of here!"

Slade chuckled. "I'd like to see you try." The merc pushed a button embedded on his wrist and it caused Beast Boy to scream in agonising pain. "You want to know why I used you instead of me. I was using you so that way, I won't be able to have that risk of dying or being cursed with immortality. I know immortality would sound like something I should have, but in reality, I'm a family man. And how are you being electrocuted I hear you ask, well, I placed a little device on your shoulder while you weren't looking. That's how I talked to you when I wasn't there. But the times I disappeared, was thanks to some high tech holograms. Now, you will release Terra so I can exact my revenge."

Meanwhile.

Raven had just woken up in a black void, with a bit of a watery floor. She analysed her surroundings, confused at first until she heard the screams of her familiar green teammate. "Beast Boy?"

Raven ran to the nearby scream and saw him being tortured by a merciless Slade. "Beast Boy!"

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! I won't release her!" Beast Boy screamed.

"Do you wish to die?!" Slade shouted.

Beast Boy screamed even harder, not giving Slade the response, whilst the empath watched on in horror. She then saw the cave the two were at before waking up in the infirmary, panting heavily.

"Woah, Raven." Cyborg said, passing Raven some water. "Take it easy girl, that fear toxin did a number on you."

"That wasn't fear toxin Cyborg!" Raven exclaimed. "It was a vision. It's Beast Boy, he's in pain! I saw him."

"Woah, take it easy. I'm pretty sure that you were just-"

"Slade was there!"

"Impossible Beast Boy has been hallucinating Slade, he ain't there." Cyborg retorted just as Robin and Kid Flash ran into the room.

"Slade isn't an hallucination!" Robin shouted. "We need to find Beast Boy!"

"What?" Cyborg asked just as Starfire and Jinx joined them.

"Beast Boy is in danger, Slade is not an hallucination, he is there!"

"I'll prepare the T-Jet." Cyborg said.

"We can't, the T-Jet is gone." Jinx replied.

"Then Slade took it." Robin explained. "According to Scarecrow, he's been watching our every move. Cyborg, that probably explains why your cameras malfunction, he found a way to hack into them."

"Then that also explains the two heat signatures I caught in the tower earlier tonight." Cyborg said.

"We need to find Beast Boy ASAP." Robin ordered.

"How?" Starfire asked. "Without the T-Jet we won't be able to know where he has gone."

"I got this." Said a desperate Raven. "I'm taking all of us to their location."

"Raven, don't! It will exhaust you!" Robin demanded.

"Beast Boy needs us. Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Raven shouted the spell and all the Titans disappeared.

The Titans soon made it to the island and see the T-Jet on top of the rock. Raven then collapsed due to the exhaustion of sending every one of her friends to the location.

Cyborg caught her before she fell to the ground. He rested her on the ground while the others waited on Cyborg's results. "Her pulse is stable, it's just too much of her power was waisted."

"Now, where is Beast Boy?" Kid Flash asked.

"He's a little busy in the ship, co-operating." Slade replied as he walked out of the shadows.

"Slade." Robin hissed.

"Hello Robin, it's been forever." Slade greeted.

The Titans, except for Cyborg and Raven, got into their fighting positions. "Why Beast Boy?" Robin angrily asked. "Why not yourself?"

"I thought you would have gotten the hint that I'm too stubborn to die." Slade replied.

"Least he admits it." Kid Flash quipped.

"But why him?!"

"Him hallucinating Terra was the perfect way of convincing him to help me with the spell to free her." Slade replied. "Him freeing her means I will get the chance to have my revenge."

"But why not smash her while she is the statue?" Starfire asked.

"Because smashing her isn't as satisfying as wiping her blood off my sword." Slade replied.

"So this is it? Beast Boy is just an expendable part of your revenge plan?" Robin asked.

"Well played." Slade chuckled. "And if you hear the screaming, I say it's probably passed." Slade chuckled while the Titans watched on in fear.

Robin felt it the most, since he blames himself for his failure of saving Beast Boy from Slade.

"Look at that face Robin, that's the face of a failure." Slade pointed out. "You and Raven."

Raven then shot up, screamed and fired a dark energy blast at the merc, but it went through him, revealing it to be just a hologram.

"Raven, you need to-"

Raven interrupted Cyborg by pushing him aside and floating up to the T-Jet. She used her magic to tear the door open and what she saw horrified her. She saw two unconscious bodies, one of Terra and one of her friend, teammate and annoying brother-like figure, Beast Boy.
