{Weiss' perspective}
"Finally, I get to kill a Schnee," the White Fang member said.
I took up my stance and readied myself. He charged at me as I made a hard light barrier to prevent him from attacking me. I then countered stabbing him away. He then slashed at me to which I redirected his attack. He kept blindly attacking me and I dodged one of his attacks. He then made a combo attack followed by a kick that I jumped out of the way of. He then jumped from the roof onto him in which he dodged.
"Weiss use your time dilation on me!" Achilles said behind me.
"Are you insane?" I said joining his side.
"Just trust me on this." He said.
"If you insist" I said as I readied my lightning dust.
{My perspective}
Now then, here I am facing down a chainsaw asshole with Weiss powering my speed up. Now where have I seen this before? DmC 2013 maybe? That game has the most annoying chainsaw assholes. Anyway besides my mini rant. I unsheath my sword and took a deep breath. My dad has always taught me to take deep breaths before throwing any attack. Makes each shot count, especially if said attack is archery or shooting a gun. But lessons aside, I charged forward as the asshole with a chainsaw slashed at me. Thankfully thanks to my increased speed I dodged and countered in the same move. I then used my guard, which if you remember has wings in the shape of a V on it. That part was intentional so that I could catch my opponents blade and redirect it easier. I caught the chainsaw with the wing. "Weiss now!" I said as she flew at the asshole in a fit of murderous rage. Luckily he went down after a few well placed strikes as well as a few mordhau grip attacks.
"That is extremely brutal," Weiss noted looking down at the asshole.
"Yeah, but it gets the job done" I said, sheathing my sword. I then looked ahead. "Rest here, I'll go give Blake backup."
As I ran, I heard Weiss fall to her knees. Better than when she was thrown like a ragdoll. I then ran in just as Blake finished her bout with Roman. Suffice to say, I don't think I have to do anything here. Maybe taunt Roman a bit though. "Well well well. Roman Torchwick gets his ass handed to him on a silver platter." I said taking my scroll out snapping a picture.
"Ok you and that Ferret King are starting to get on my nerves! I had to pry my shoes off with a crowbar which also has these weirdly sharp plastic bricks glued into them!" Roman said glaring at me.
"Blake, knock his ass out." I deadpanned.
Blake was happy to oblige and did a swift kick into his head. Yang, Weiss, Blake and I then rejoined Ruby at the top of the train as the blocked off portion was closing in fast.
"Um guys, that's gonna hurt." I said pointing at it
"What are we going to do?" Yang asked
Weiss then made an ice cocoon around us. I'll admit it right now, it was a tight fit.
"Hey watch where your hand is!" Weiss complained
"Weiss, I cannot control where my hand is placed at the moment. Stop your bitching." I deadpanned
"Language!" Yang scolded. The next thing I remember after hearing the sound of concrete crushing and explosions was white, and the feeling of being unable to breath whilst my ears were ringing.
"Weiss you're sitting on him." I heard someone say. I'm pretty sure that was Yang. but I don't know. I then heard a yelp as she got off me. I groaned and sat up.
"You didn't see anything right?" Weiss asked with her face as red as my jacket.
"If you mean I saw nothing but white, then no I probably didn't." I said rubbing my head "I'm getting too old for this shit." I continued standing up
"You're only 20." Blake pointed out
"Too old." I said as I looked around. There were people watching the whole thing, and I think I saw a few camera flashes. I can't tell my vision was still blurry. Remind me to tell Weiss to use her gravity dust next time we're on a train that is speeding towards death. That way I can at least see it coming. It was then I saw a Taijitu emerge from the wreckage alongside a comical amount of beowolfs, creeps, and a giant Deathstalker just for flavor. Welp time to do what we do best. I took my Bismark Reaper out from my back as I readied it's scythe from.
"Hey guys, who wants to make a bet?" I said as we all faced the grimm back to back
"What's the bet?" Yang asked
"Whoever kills the most grimm here will not have to pay for dinner later" I said with a smirk
"Oh I'll take you up on that." Yang replied
"As will I." Blake replied
"Fine." Weiss replied
"As long as I get some cookies after this." Ruby replied
"Alright team, Let's do this." I said with my smirk turning into a grin. I'll admit I'm pretty satisfied with killing legions of monsters.
[Meanwhile]
"I'm sure they're fine." Pyrrha reassured her boyfriend
"Ya think?" Jaune replied
"Probably a butt dial." Nora sang while Ren yawned
"Team RWBY, and Achilles, has always performed exceptionally in the field. We should be focusing on our own mission." Ren said
"I've just got this feeling, I don't know." Jaune said, shaking his head. They then turned their attention to Rose
"Took you all long enough." Rose said inspecting her blade before putting it back to compact form. "I received an emergency alert from Achilles that there are grimm in the center of Vale. We need to re-enforce them." She explained as the sirens went off.
"Then let's go!" Jaune said to Pyrrha's surprise. They all climbed aboard the bullhead and headed to the center of Vale.
[In the center of Vale]
{My perspective}
These things just keep on coming! I think I'm on my 50th grimm on my kill streak
"How many do y'all have?" I yelled as I blocked a Beowolf's attack.
"Around 45!"Yang answered.
"49." Blake replied, before killing her 50th
"52!" Replied Weiss
"48." Replied Ruby
Damn I need to catch up. Time to step it up. I stabbed the scythe into the ground and switched Bismark Reaper to automatic fire. I have at least 34 rounds left in this mag. So I made the most of it. I fired into a horde of grimm
"51." I counted "52, 53, 54, 55, 56!" I shouted as I switched magazines. I have at least one incendiary round magazine which I loaded into Bismarck Reaper.
"You have a machine gun! That is hardly fair!" Weiss retorted whilst defeating her 53rd grimm
"All's fair in love and war Weiss." I shot back before firing at the horde in front of me. I only brought about 200 rounds worth of ammo and used at least two mags while in Mountain Glenn. Which meant that I'm on my last one. Then it's Scythe time.
"And 68!" I counted going in for a melee kill. But Weiss beat me to it
"Kill stealer!" I yelled
"All's fair in love and war." Weiss retorted
"Now is not the time for the married couple shtick." I replied. A beowolf appeared behind me as Weiss jumped over my head and stabbed it.
"You need to pay more attention Achilles." Weiss retorted as more of them arrived
"Um guys, I don't have enough ammo to cover all of this." I pointed out. "I have my pistols but that's it."
Just then I heard the roar of a bullhead engine fly overhead as team JNPR and Rose joined us, slaying a grimm themselves. As we all fought I found myself back to back with my fiance
"What are you doing here?" I asked
"Isn't it obvious, I wanted to join you." She retorted
"How's Aaron?" I asked
"He's awake slightly." She replied "But I didn't untie him yet."
"Of course. So how many grimm do you think we can slay until CVFY arrives?" I asked
"I'd say at least 12." Rose replied, shooting a Beowolf in the face.
"Enough for me to win." I said
"You made another bet didn't you?" She asked as she jumped over me to slash at another beowulf while I traded places and slashed upwards at another incoming Beowolf.
"yep." I replied while slamming my blade down on another one.
"You've really got to stop, you know you're not that good at bets." She replied stabbing another one while firing a bolt at one heading towards Ren.
Meanwhile I saw Pyrrha staring at Jaune. Looks like she's getting turned on by him or something because I've never seen that face on her before. I took out Rhea and shot an incoming Beowolf charging behind her
"Control your hormones Pyrrha! We have work to do." I said holstering Rhea.
"I'm sorry!" She replied. Oh it's great to hear that catchphrase. If I didn't know any better I'd say she's from Remnant Canada.
It was then I looked at the Taijitu to see Nora clocking it over the head with her hammer.
I then heard Sun shout something about being Junior Detectives
"Sun, now is not the time! Get your weapon and help us beat these things back!" I yelled as I killed my 68th grimm in a row. Then the Atlesiens showed up. Oh joy, those things are dropping from the sky. I saw a paladin emerge from the wreckage alongside Zwei who took down a grimm by himself. Note to self, give Zwei a treat. And that was when I saw Team CFVY come flying in.
"Alright that's a wrap, come on everyone let's let the pros handle this." I said as my team, JNPR, and Rose all backed up as Coco slapped Fox's butt
"Nice Hustle Fox, good job." She said with a smile. She then faced a Beowolf. "You just destroyed my favorite clothing store. Prepare to die." She said smacking it around with her bag
Rose then looked over at the store she was referring to. "I'll have to check it out after it gets rebuilt."
"Rose no." I deadpanned
"Rose yes." She retorted with a not-so-innocent smile.
"Ugh…" I sighed.
[Later after providing some form of backup for CFVY]
"Oh I can't believe you caught me. You've really taught me the error of my ways." Roman said as I escorted him with the barrel of Kronos pointing to the back of his skull. I then took the opportunity to smack him with the hilt of my gun
"Ow! Ok fine. Sheesh old red." Roman said before being carried off onto the ship "Hey hey HEY! Watch the hat!."
Emerald and Mercury were watching me with Mercury in particular glaring at me.
[On the landing pads near Beacon Academy]
Rose was sitting next to me with her head on my shoulder as we held hands.
"Well we did it." Blake remarked
"If we don't get extra credit for that, I'm going to be seriously disappointed." Weiss said
"Oh I'm sure we will Weiss. I'm sure we will." I chuckled. "So what's everyone's final score?"
"I killed 60." Yang replied
"69" Replied Blake. (Nice)
"65" Replied Ruby
"68" Replied Weiss
"74." I said with a smirk.
"You have a machine gun." Weiss pointed out
"Heh, well all is fair in love and war Weiss." I teased
"Oh hush you." Weiss said with a little giggle.
"But back to the extra credit thing, A giant two headed snake crushed a bakery, I wouldn't count on it." Yang pointed out
"We still don't know why they did this, or who that-" Ruby said
"Her name is Neopolitan. And she is dangerous." I said looking back out at Vale.
"How do you know?" Weiss asked
"She… Tried to kill me a few times before I went to Beacon. Probably had something to do with my bloodline." I said with a shrug.
"Ok and how did you get her name?" She asked
"Well the last time I saw her she was at an ice cream parlor eating some Neapolitan Ice Cream. I connected the dots from there." I bushittedly explained.
"I see." Weiss said getting up "Are you going to join us? It's about dinner time."
"I'll join you guys in a bit. I want some time with my fiance here." I said with a smile as I looked over at Rose dozing on my shoulder.
"Alright, Your usual?" Weiss asked
"Oh you know me so well." I said with a smile.
"Alright, see you later." Yang said as team RWBY went to the cafeteria.
"So he's awake." I said once RWBY was out of earshot.
"Yeah, he woke up just as I was preparing to leave. I disarmed him in case he tried to escape." Joce explained. "I also tightened Blake's ribbons so he wouldn't be able to escape."
"Good girl." I said running my fingers through her hair with a smile. "I'll visit him tonight so he can get some rest. I'll also have to report to Ozpin about his…" I cleared my throat "Surprise new student."
Joce giggled "Oh of course bae."
"Well I'd hate to keep my team waiting." I said before kissing her forehead. "Love you." I said getting up.
"Love you too." She said as she was getting up. "Cinder wants me to meet with her in Vale."
"Alright. Keep me up to date ok?" I said as I walked towards the school.
"Will do." She said as she got on an airship.
[Later that evening]
I gently opened the door to see my friend Aaron struggling against his restraints. "Good evening Aaron. Sleep well?"
"Well aside from my head ringing like a goddamn bell. Yeah, why am I tied to a chair?" Aaron asked
"Well that my friend is a long story." I said closing the door. "So I'll give you the sparknotes version. Do you know where we are?"
"Yeah in Remnant dipshit." Aaron said with a grunt. "Now can you please untie me?"
I let a dagger slide out of my sleeve and into my right hand. "Sure. Lemme cut those restraints. I just needed to make sure you won't murder me."
"Doing things like this makes me WANT to murder you." Aaron retorted.
"Good to have you back." I said as I cut his wrist restraints first then his leg restraints
He grabbed his wrists as he clenched and released his hand. "Alright, second question, Where did you put Judas Priest?"
"What?" I asked
"Judas Priest, My weapons." He explained
"You named them after a band?" I asked
"Well yeah, what did you name your weapons?" Aaron asked
"Something at least original to a degree. My pistols are named Kronos and Rhea and my sword is called Porfyrós Drákos." I explained
"You named your guns after the Greek titans and named your sword something in greek?" He asked
"Yes, I did. And here are your weapons." I said as I handed him his weapons apparently named Judas Priest.
"Thanks." He deadpanned putting them on
"So where'd you get the idea from?" I asked
"You know those swords on Amazon that attach to the arm right?" He asked
"It hardly seems practical but sure." I said with a shrug
"Well I figured out a way to also put a handgun in the handle. Plus I can do elemental attacks. Now to figure out my semblance…" Aaron explained
"Wait you don't know your semblance?" I asked
"Are you saying I already have?" He asked
" Yeah, It seems to be some sort of short range teleportation." I explained
"So basically speed like Ruby?" He asked
"Yeah. Go ahead and see if you can do it." I said stepping out of his way. He then teleported to the other end of the room and back.
"So… my next question then. Where the hell have I been?" He asked
"Another long story I'll give the sparknotes version of." I said "For the first two volumes you were a thorn at our side before I clocked you over the head with the mordhau strike. Twice."
"That explains the head ringing." Aaron said, holding his head "Why would you do that?"
"Hard reset." I said with a shrug
"Goddamn you." Aaron deadpanned
"Oh and by the way Ozpin is on his way here to interview you." I said suddenly remembering. "I told him you would be an excellent addition to CFVY." I said as I quickly headed to the door.
"Wait what? Did you tell him who I was?" Aaron asked.
"Nope." I responded before shutting the door as Ozpin approached
"Good evening Mr Vermillion." Ozpin greeted "Is he ready?"
"Yep, though he claims his head is ringing so he may not be as responsive." I explained with a shrug. "Good night Professor Ozpin." I said as I walked around him heading to RWBY's room. Tomorrow I should take him clothes shopping just to make up for the fact I mordhau struck him twice.
[Out in Vale the next morning 9:50]
"So let me get this straight." Aaron started as we walked around Vale looking for clothing stores "I was your enemy from volume one to now."
"Yes." I answered
"And you couldn't recognize me until recently" He continued
"Yeah that's about the long and the short of it." I replied with a shrug
"So your solution was clocking me over the head using the mordhau grip?" He asked
"Well I consider it a hard reset of the brain. Hope Oz wasn't too harsh on you last night." I said with a smirk
"Oh yeah, and there's that you dick." Aaron complained "He was non stop baraging me with questions like 'Do you know where you are' and 'Where did you come from'."
"What did you say to him?" I asked
"I just answered yes to everything." Aaron replied.
"... You answered yes to every question even if it made no sense?" I asked
"I panicked ok? You barely gave me time to prepare!" Aaron complained
"Oh quit whinging you, Be happy I convinced Oz to put you in CFVY and not CRDL." I said waving my hand dismissively.
Aaron sighed. "I suppose I should thank you for that at least. How did you convince him anyway?"
"It took a lot of coffee." I replied
"I see, so where are we off to?" Aaron asked
"Well there are a few more clothing stores in Vale that weren't destroyed yet from what happened here recently." I explained "There's a store nearby that's like Target."
"Like are we talking overpriced or just the feel?" Aaron asked
"Yes." I answered as we arrived.
"Great…" He deadpanned
"I can help you get in style Aaron." Jocelyn said with a smile
"No thanks Jocelyn. Knowing you, you'll probably want me in pink or something cute." Aaron said dismissively
"Well then, I'll do some shopping on my own." She said before I grabbed her arm
"No you ain't. You already spent enough for the necessities, You need nothing more." I said
"But how else am I supposed to outshine the main characters?" Jocelyn said with a shrug
"That was never the goal, the goal was to change some aspects of the show we thought needed it." I said crossing my arms
"Whatever Dad." She retorted
"Hey stop arguing you two! Or I'll have to ground you both." Aaron said, pointing at us
"We're 20." Jocelyn and I said in unison
"Yeah and I'm older than the both of you! So zip it!" Aaron said, dragging his fingers across his lips like a zipper.
"Fine…" I said with a sigh whilst Jocelyn didn't respond.
[Vale 10:30am]
Well thankfully Aaron didn't take too long. Aside from me having to pry Jocelyn away from the women's section with a lot of on-lookers. "So how do you feel?" I asked
"Better, I finally lost that black hoodie." He replied. He now had a black leather jacket
"Well I know a tailor that can do business to infuse it with dust." I suggested
"That would be awesome, maybe Ice dust or earth dust." He thought out loud
"As long as you don't copy me I'm fine." I said as Jocelyn tried to get back into the store. To no avail because my arm kept her in place.
"Wait, what did you put in your jacket?" Aaron asked
"Fire dust." I replied
"And you haven't used it?" He asked again
"I couldn't figure it out until now." I replied sheepishly
"So… You had the ability to summon fire, but you didn't know how to use it… Until now…" Aaron repeated
"Yeah." I replied with a shrug
"You're an idiot." He replied
"I know." I said with a smile turning my back to him "So we can either go get lunch then go to the tailor or vice versa. What do you think?"
"Tailor first, I wanna be able to shoot lightning." Aaron replied.
"Alright sounds good. One thing though, does it feel like we're being watched?" I noted
"Dude I'm sure it's nothing. Let's just go." Aaron deadpanned.
"Fine, I'll trust you" I sighed as we continued to the tailor
[After dropping the coat off to the tailor]
"She seems nice." Aaron pointed out
"Yeah, She helped us out with our combat gear." I explained
"Is that why Jocelyn is dressing with leather armor?" Aaron asked
"For her protection obviously." I said with a shrug
"But she has an aura now, any armor is going to be just for show at this point." Aaron pointed out
I looked at the sky whistling
"You made it to push her titties up didn't you?" Aaron deadpanned
"What? No… maybe… yes… I did." I admitted defeatedly
"And you let him?" Aaron asked Jocelyn
"Well it was either this or go into a fight with just my clothes with no aura." Jocelyn pointed out "Besides if my aura breaks, I have at least can hold myself for longer"
"That is fair." Aaron pointed out
"Anyway, when we're in front of any of the main cast, We refer to each other by our Remnant names, I'm Achilles Vermillion, Joce is Rose Quartz, and you will be Moon Shadow." I explained
"Why Moon Shadow?" Aaron asked
"So that I can call you Moon like I'm used to." I explained with a shrug
"Fair enough." Aaron said
I then looked ahead for a moment "So where should we eat for lunch? There's that restaurant over there with steak, that one which has great pizza. And oh right that bakery is closed due to the Grimm attack…"
"Well I think we should go to that restaurant with the steak." Joce suggested
"You just want steak." I deadpanned
"Why not?" she replied.
"Because believe it or not you can't have steak every week. Right Aaron?" I said turning to where he was to see that he disappeared.
"Aaron?" I said looking around.
{Aaron's perspective}
Well, I can't say I'm particularly surprised right now. But having Neo pressing herself against me, covering my mouth as I hear my friends call my name. This is a different kind of feeling. Scappy as I call it, scared and happy at the same time. Eventually I heard Justin give up and say "I'll text him where we're at later. I guess you and I can go to that restaurant you like so much." I heard him say exasperatedly. To which Jocelyn replied with a "Yay!" In her 'cute voice'. That boy needs to learn to ignore that. Once they were away she uncovered my mouth. She looked at me curiously. Probably wondering what I am doing.
"I'm uh… scouring their defences. Yeah that's it." I whispered
She gave me a frown
"Ok ok that guy Achilles is my friend, And my name is actually Moon Shadow, not Ferret King or whatever he just referred to me as." I explained
She seemed to like that answer as she grabbed me by the hand and had me follow her.
[Later that evening]
Well I can kick homicide off my bucket list. As Neo knocked out every single person in the bar and handed me a drink with a smile on her face. Which is definitely one of the top ten weirdest boners I've ever gotten (Don't ask). I took it and we shared a pretty romantic moment despite the fact that there are a lot of knocked out people here.
"So you kidnapped me for a date?" I asked finally breaking the silence
She nodded and signed Well, I didn't want your friend there to spot me after what he told me.
"What did he tell you?" I asked. I hope he didn't put the fear of god into my waifu. Shut up, she's hot. Don't you deny it.
She looked hesitant for a moment before she signed. He said Roman will die sometime in the future, he won't give a specific date, but it still lingers in my mind.
Damn it Justin! "Well… I don't know for sure, but I have received visions of his death by being nommed by a grimm."
She looked down at the floor as if she were thinking about a life without Roman I know you two don't get along. She started But he did help me when I had nothing. So next time, if you see him, please go easy on him.
"Neo…" I started. She then looked up at me with those puppy dog eyes… Must resist. MUST. RESIST. GODDAMNIT. "I'll try." I sighed
She smiled sweetly at me. Then took my hand and lead me out of the bar.
"Hey! You need to pay-" Junior started before Neo shot him a threatening look.
"N-nevermind. It's on the house." He said before we left.
When we got out the sky was orange, which meant the sun was setting. "Hey I need to head back before my friends worry about me." I told Neo. She then gave me a look I haven't seen on her at all. A combination of both bedroom eyes and a frown that suggests she wants to spend time with me. Most of which I can't remember due to being clocked over the head by a certain crimson bladed asshole, thanks Justin. She then led me down an alleyway into… Wait there's a red light district in Vale? Then again I'm not surprised. "Um Neo why are we…" She looked up at me with her face flushed
"... Oh…" Was the only word that I could think of. Sure I've had dreams where this has happened. But this is entirely different.
I overheard you and Roman the other day. She signed How you'll "fuck the shit out of me".
Oh… that was mostly to piss him off. "Y-yeah?"
Let's put that to the test shall we? She signed before taking my hand once more then leading me to the love hotel.
[RWBY+A's dorm]
"So your friend just disappeared after you guys left the tailor shop?" Weiss asked
"Yeah and I'm honestly worried about him, on one hand, there's the threat of the Ice Cream lady that could have possibly kidnapped him. On the other, might be the people conspiring against us. Hell they could even be in Beacon right now." I said with a shrug
"And you didn't try to find him?" Yang asked
"Oh we tried, but after the sun was going down we just gave up. On the bright side, now we can focus on preparations for the VYTL tournament." I said proudly with my hands on my hips.
That was when I noticed team RWBY exchanging uneasy glances. "What?" I asked
"We were having a discussion on that actually" Blake started
"And well… Here's the thing A." Yang continued
"We know you're more than capable of fighting, but we're all thinking you should sit this out." Ruby said somberly
"Wha- why?" I asked
"Well… you don't have a semblance yet, or if you do, you haven't shown us. We just want you to be safe." Weiss answered
I grit my teeth. "So winning the tournament is all you care about?"
"That's not-" Weiss started
"It's what you mean." I interrupted "I can't believe this, I am a part of your team, for you guys to keep me on the side like this. And here I thought I finally had something special…" I said angrily
"Achilles, we just want you to be safe, dealing with grimm is one thing, but against other huntsmen, we feel like you may not be ready." Blake spoke up
"Just give me a month or two, I'll train as hard as I can and catch up as much as possible. If I do, will you let me be in the tournament?" I asked
RWBY looked at eachother again and Weiss sighed "You're stubborn aren't you?"
I didn't answer.
"Yes," Ruby finally answered "Just promise me you won't overdo yourself."
"I can't make any promises Ruby. But I'll try my best." I said with a heavy sigh.
"Alright, well Yang and I are going back to Patch to visit Dad for the semester break," Ruby said with a smile.
"Don't you have any folks?" Yang asked
"We never really saw eye-to-eye." I said with a shrug as I prepared my things for the month "Besides I have a month long training arc to do."
"Did you seriously just say 'training arc'?" Blake asked
"Yes Blake, I am a nerd. And damn proud of it" I proclaimed proudly.
"Well we still have a week until the semester ends. We should focus on our studies. Before anything else." Weiss pointed out
"Fair enough. I'm exhausted anyway." I said as I stopped packing. "I'll get ready first since I take the shortest amount of time." I then went to the bathroom to do my nightly routine which consisted mostly of showering, putting deodorant on. And plucking hair out of the drain because Yang refuses to get a haircut. Then the rest did their nightly routine. After everyone was done I hit the lights and we all went to bed. Zwei ended up cuddling with me that night for some reason. Ruby says he likes to comfort people with a lot of stress. So I guess Zwei is trying to help me feel better. Which is kinda working in a weird way. I mean I always had a soft spot for cute animals. Zwei is no exception. Anyway I drifted off to a dreamless sleep.

Seriously sometimes I will end up with three chapters to upload and waiting a week seeing these pile up in my google docs makes it hard to keep track of which ones I already uploaded.
