A/N: I loved writing this story. Then life got in the way!
I still read so much fanfiction, but about a month ago, during our second national lockdown in England, I ended up coming back to look over my old writing. And wow. Abysmally long, complex sentences full of adverbs? Check. No such idea about conflict, resulting in a happy, unrealistically issue-free relationship between father and daughter? Check. Weak, almost non-existent character development? Check. And a tonne of other things!
So, after saving all the old chapters and banishing them to a folder on my computer that I probably will never open again, I'm going to rewrite this story. It's just for fun during such a surreal time and it's going to bring me a lot of nostalgia.
I've posted three chapters on Archive of our Own and I'm almost finished with the fourth, and so I'm going to replace them on here now too, with a view of actually completing the story this time. Which means I'm sorry there's going to be a disconnect between the old chapters and the new; I really did think about creating a whole new story and leaving this one be, but I still cringe at my old writing. It sucks because I can't really notify anyone that a new chapter is up on this site, but I will be able to on AO3. So please keep checking back on here from time to time if you prefer this site to see the updated chapters!
