Hello everyone. Enjoy the chapter!
A little while later, Harry had been fitted for his school uniform. As Harry and Gabrielle had managed to be done at about the same time, the two of them walked out together, escorted by Gabrielle's father.
Gabrielle's father, who was named Bernard Delacour, took this time to introduce himself to Harry. Despite the boy's appearance, he turned out to be quite the polite young lad. Definitely not one looking to cause any kind of trouble.
Hagrid looked a little confused as he saw Harry walking out of the robes shop with Gabrielle and this other man.
"Hello, Harry. Who's that yeh got with you?" he inquired.
Harry grinned at him. "This is my new friend, Gabrielle. She's going to Hogwarts too."
"Oh!" Hagrid said in surprise. Nonetheless, he took kindly to the news that Harry had already apparently made a friend and turned towards her. "Well, hello to you too, Gabrielle."
"Hello, Mr. Hagrid," she said shyly.
Hagrid then turned to her father. "And yeh must by Ms. Gabrielle's father, correct?"
"Indeed I am," Bernard answered with a barely noticeable French accent. "My name is Bernard Delacour. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Pleasure to meet yer as well," Hagrid greeted back. He then turned back towards Harry. "Well, unfortunately we can't stay to chat. I gotta finish helping Harry here with gettin' his school supplies."
"You're the one helping Harry here buy his school supplies?" Bernard asked, clearly not expecting that someone like Hagrid would be the one to escort Harry.
"Yeah...?" Hagrid said in confusion. "I was the one ordered to do this. Why do you ask?"
"No reason, I apologize. Well, I won't keep you waiting," Bernard said. "Come on, Gabrielle."
Hagrid shrugged.
"Bye, 'Arry. Bye, Mr. 'Agrid," Gabrielle said with a wave.
Harry waved goodbye to Gabrielle and her father before resuming following Hagrid around.
