The two groups soon met back up at the Weapon X Facility, having completed both missions that would damage Apocalypse's army.
"Well the Core's shut down, how were things on your end, Cheetah?" Ace asked.
"Everything's good on my end, too. The Factory has been shut down. Apocalypse won't be creating any more soldiers." Cheetah said.
"And we can say goodbye to Apocalypse's energy supply with the Core shut down." Mari said.
"Everyone I just received news from Emma Frost. You recall when Apocalypse attacked New York City, a number of top leaders fell into comas?" Professor Xavier said.
"Yes, that's right." Zamazenta said.
"Emma's discovered a temple that's housing former students of hers who are responsible for those comas. If we can disband this group, their victims should be released from their unnatural slumber." Professor Xavier said.
"That sounds like a blessing. Let's get moving." Jessica said.
"Hold on, Jessica. If the pattern serves right, another Horseman will be there too." Belladonna said.
"Yes, and if this group is composed of Emma's former students, then they're telepaths like Jean." Emiya said.
"The Stepford Cuckoos." Iceman said.
"Aren't those the three sisters that left the school after the fourth one was killed during a mission?" Cyclops asked.
"Yes, they've always blamed Emma for her death. I imagined they joined Apocalypse as some misguided attempt at revenge." Professor Xavier said.
"It wouldn't solve anything for them, not even bring their sister back unfortunately." Tear said.
"Yes. I know this better than anyone. Revenge never leads to anything good." Cheetah said.
"Yes, which is why you all must head to the temple and rendezvous with Emma. Good luck to you all." Professor Xavier said.
The group soon arrived at the Madri Temple which had a medieval gothic-like setting to it.
"Whoa, fancy. And kind of dreary." Jessica said.
"Most temples aren't without a touch like this." Shanoa said.
"About time you people showed up. I was beginning to think you were lost." A female voice said in their heads.
"Just like Yoko. She's using telepathy." Sojiro said.
"Hmhmhm, what a smart boy you are, and a handsome one at that." Emma Frost said.
"Handsome? Sojiro?" Zenji asked.
"Everyone, be careful… That is Emma Frost." Cheetah said.
"No need to worry your pretty little heads, my days at the Hellfire Club are long behind me, but I'm glad that you all are here." Emma Frost said. "I got tired of waiting for you all so I started searching for my wayward students alone. I'll find you after I investigate this 'temple' a little more. Now do be dears and don't get killed as you roam the halls."
"Well, she seems friendly." Belladonna said.
"You'll get used to her, she's a good person behind that playful attitude of hers." Jean Grey said.
"Good to know. I guess we're all a little bit like that." Cheetah said.
The group began their trek through the temple as they fought off the Madri Priests who guarded it and found out the Stepford Cuckoos were in the Altar of the Mind and in order to gain access, they had to find four different artifacts to place on four shrines. They continued further into the temple before they saw Emma Frost fighting off a group of enemies as the group soon ran in and joined her in fending the enemies off.
"Could you possibly make any more noise as you blunder about? It's a wonder every guard in the temple isn't on top of us by now." Emma Frost said.
"Nice to see you too, Emma." Cyclops said. "What were you able to discover?"
"I just discovered three machines in this temple that look amazingly similar to Cerebro." Emma Frost said.
"That would be bad. We better do something about those." Toya said.
"Yes, it's how they're holding those leaders in a constant state of unconsciousness. If you can destroy all three of them, their victims should awaken." Emma Frost said.
"Let's get to it, then." Zamazenta said.
"You do that, there's still the matter of my three darling students I need to settle with alone. We'll meet up later." Emma Frost said before running off.
The group soon found all four artifacts and returned to the main hall, placing one on each of the altars, opening the door to the Altar of the Mind and soon activated it as a portal then opened up.
"Emma, a portal just opened up after we activated the altar, it should lead us to the Stepford Cuckoos." Al said.
"I've already discovered another way in. And when I get my hands on those three ungrateful brats. I'll teach them a thing or two about respect." Emma Frost said.
"Respect comes with power… Isn't that what you taught us, Miss Frost? And you no longer have that power." One of the Stepford Cuckoos said.
"Well, if it isn't my little darlings. How brave you've grown. But soon you'll regret… No… NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Emma Frost screamed.
"Why, Miss Frost, your friends are very close. We do hope they hurry. Perhaps they'll try to save you. Hahahaha." Another of the Stepford Cuckoos said.
"Alright, that's it. Time to teach those little brats a lesson." Lei said.
"This does not look good. We're in quite a fix here." Sojiro said.
"We need to stay calm. If they are telepaths, then they can use our thoughts against us." Captain Cold said. "I know this from dealing with Grodd."
"Right, sorry. But I get the feeling once we step through this portal, the Horseman will be waiting for us along with the triplets." Lei said. "And the Mini Cerebros."
"We'll have to deal with him to defeat Apocalypse anyway, so we don't have much of a choice here." Cheetah said.
"Right, let's do this." Ace said as they stepped through the portal.
