Haiko was traveling with his two cohorts on the back of a sea serpent. The serpent seemed tamed. It was obeying everything Haiko told it to do.
"You know something" Mushin said surprised. "I'm kinda shocked that you know how to brainwash creatures to do your bidding. Where did you learn that at?"
"I use to study with the Dai Li. They showed me how to do it. I've combined my healing abilities with the brainwashing to create a much stronger hold on my victims that's how I can control this beast."
"That's pretty cool." Mushin said impressed. "It was the perfect way to escape from Toph. But what are we going to do now? Aang and Katara are going to get the third scale key. The guru will tell them where it is."
"I've figured out a plan for that" Haiko said. "We'll take the last key from them eventually."
"But I thought we didn't need the last scale to free the planet eater?" Mushin was confused. "Why waste our time with it? Don't we have to find the prisons location now?"
"Yes" Haiko explained. "We will find out where it's imprisoned and you're right we don't need the last key to free it. We can do it with two scales. But I want to get it cause the creature will be at full power with the third scale key. And I want to make absolutely sure Team Avatar can't beat the monster."
"Wow Haiko you think of everything. You're amazing!!" Gai was such a fanboy when it came to Haiko. Everything Haiko did impressed him. "And I'm soo happy you need me even though I'm pretty much useless to you with no bending abilities."
"Oh you're not useless" Haiko said. "You're my friend and besides I have a weapon you can use on Team Avatar. Here take the second scale key."
"You're giving me one of the keys??" Gai seemed touched Haiko trusted him that much with a scale. Haiko handed Gai the scale.
"Won't Katara be able to use the scales power too once she gets the third one?" Gai said as he clutched the scale in his hand. "Are you sure it's ok to let her keep it once she gets it? How will we get it from her?"
"Oh don't worry about that. The scale will be useless to her cause she's kindhearted and heroic. That girl doesn't have a evil bone in her body. The scale only works for people with darkness in their hearts like you and me." Haiko explained. "It will be better with two of us using one key each to fight them to get the third one. Now follow me we must find the location of the prison. I know where we must go next."
Haiko commanded the serpent to swim out of sight.
Meanwhile at the Northern Water Tribe Sokka had been busy tearing through scroll after scroll of ancient text trying to find out where The Planet Eater's Prison was located. Katara had sent a message to him a few days ago telling him of the horrible events that he missed out on when he left. Almost two weeks had past and he was still no closer to finding out anything of value. He sighed in defeat. He was ready to give up. He clutched his space sword in it's sheath in frustration (Sokka had made another space sword with the same meteorite he used to make his first one) Suki saw him so upset and walked over to him clutching his stomach.
"Sokka keep looking don't give up. I believe in you" Suki said in a sweet voice. "While you keep looking I'll go and make you lunch. You haven't eaten all day. You need food." Suki seemed very concerned for Sokka's wellbeing. "You're not going to be able to function without food and I know how much you love to eat." Suki squeezed his shoulders while she talked.
Sokka realized she was right. He needed nourishment. "Ok Suki go and make me lunch. Make me a large one cause I'm starving." Sokka clutched his stomach while he spoke.
Suki kissed his lips and left through the large doors of the library.
Sokka hung his head down in defeat. He didn't want to admit it but he was getting nowhere in his search.
Suddenly a spirit appeared who sensed his despair. It was Princess Yue. Sokka hung his mouth open in shock. He rubbed his eyes to make sure she was real. She was. He could see her.
Moon Princess Yue spoke as she caressed Sokka's face. "I felt your pain Sokka. I know how to help you. I know where the Planet Eater is trapped."
"You do Yue?? That's amazing. Where is it's prison?? I've missed you soo much. I hope you're not sore I moved on to Suki" Sokka said this while looking down at his feet ashamed.
"Of course not Sokka. I long for you're happiness. I don't care you decided to date another woman. Suki is pretty. I like her. Now on to the information. I have to hurry I can't stay long cause of the dark energy blanketing the world. The prison to The Planet Eater is located on The Isle of Ages."
"The Isle of Ages!!!?" Sokka exclaimed. He clutched his heart. It was hurting from seeing his dead first girlfriend. "Where is that??" Sokka looked towards Yue but she had disappeared. Her spirit couldn't stay any longer. The dark energy was getting worse. Sokka ran out the door. He told a waterbender to let Suki know that he was returning to Republic City to let the gang know of this development.
