CHAPTER 12
The next morning at breakfast I asked Bella if her decision from yesterday still stands
"You're right, I think I just want to see mom, I didn't know I missed her so much until now"
After talking to Dad last night, he didn't seem so affected by the low blow that Bella sent with her words
"Give him my regards, will you go in the truck?"
"Yes."
It was very strange that three vampires attacked the residence, the chip identified them as Edward Cullen and two strangers
Isabella left the house with her suitcase and got into her truck as she promised Edward the night before and started, she still didn't understand why she couldn't leave her room, it was supposed to be her who broke down the barrier in her room because of her love for Edward, Carlisle said that was the most probable and he was the most knowledgeable person she knew, she was over 300 years old.
At that moment she saw Alice on the road, they joined her; Jasper was driving and she and Alice were talking
"I didn't see that barrier, do you know where came from, Bella?
"Not really, I thought Carlisle was right in his theory."
"Didn't you think... you know... that it would be better if you stayed at home? All night James tried to get in with Victoria and Edward, but neither of them could.
"No, this is the best… - her eyes glowed with confidence - Edward will protect me" The pixie could only look at her without understanding, in fact after realizing that no vampire could enter the Swan residence, they decided that it was the safest place for the chocolate-eyed girl, but she was stubborn and they ended up giving in to her insistence.
Two days after we were called to Phoenix Hospital, my sister had been admitted with 4 broken ribs, a head injury and a broken leg from falling down the motel stairs. I put my hand on Dad's arm, squeezing lightly, reminding him that it was Isabella's decision to leave.
When we arrived at the hospital we saw Renée walking up and down the hall, we approached her
"Something new?"
"Nothing... - her eyes looked red and swollen, she was sure she cried since she found out - I don't understand, she told me she was happy in Forks"
"She had a fight with Cullen, she said some very hurtful things to Dad and wanted to leave, I managed to calm her down but she still wanted to be with you".
I left them alone, I went into the room where my sister was and there on the couch was Cullen "asleep".
"What really happened," he whispers, there was no need to speak louder, but he kept lying down pretending to sleep
Fine!
When my sister woke up, she expressed her desire to return to Forks, Renée was saddened and Dad hesitated, before they agreed I intervened
"In six months we will be 18 years old Bella, you can't keep acting like a spoiled child who doesn't think about the consequences of her actions. You hurt daddy, you knew what you were doing but you didn't apologize, you wanted to leave home for a boy, who you've known for two months, maybe less - she looked uncomfortable and wanted to replicate - you have strong feelings for each other, but your life doesn't revolve around him. We're your family and we hope you don't get hurt." I don't hate her, we never really had a bond or anything like that, but Dad cared, so I tried and failed. I can only hope for the best and that my sister is not totally dependent on the mind reader.
"I-I understand.
Time skip -
Edward and Bella reconciled and went to the PROM dance, I thought I would be interrogated but nothing happened
A few weeks later Emmett asked me to prepare a romantic dinner for Rosalie and he, like seeing a big teddy bear, prepared it in my backyard. When I asked for the menu, before he told me the famous "surprise me", I stopped next day he came with the request for Italian.
Emmet and Rosalie arrived, he in a tuxedo and she dressed to impress, my father took me to a high class restaurant when I turned 16 so I knew how it should be, in fact they gave me a tip and the goddess in my backyard showed her pearly teeth when she smiled in my direction, of course I did not blush, the candles produced a lot of heat.
Although he had been around the Forks for two years and became the hospital's chief doctor, I never interacted much with Carlisle Cullen, until he convinced the town's beloved sheriff, my father, to invite him to dinner. I know that he was convinced because they are not friends, Dad is socially awkward and he was also awkward when he told me. The next night I lowered the barriers and Dr. Cullen became the first vampire to be able to enter through the front door, when he left I had even more unanswered questions.
Author note
The Cullen are suspicious but frustrated that they don't know the mystery, they won't go around yelling at a human girl that they are vampires.
In one chapter I said that Helen has a mental palace, so even though Edward can read her thoughts they are only the most superficial.
Let me know of any mistakes i made and if you have ideas let me know
I'm still learning how to write so hopefully i get better as the story goes along
