Chapter 15, The rule of King Ganondorf.

Ganondorf's attack was quick and ruthless, he started by assassinating the King of Hyrule, then he ordered his army to destroy Castle town and wipe out all who stood in their way.

Princess Zelda and her bodyguard Impa managed to escape from Castle town, however after this the two completely disappeared and many feared that they may have been killed by one of Ganondorf's followers.

Thanks to Link opening the door to the Sacred realm Ganondorf was free to enter without any resistance, once there Ganondorf found the Triforce and reached out to claim it for himself.

However Ganondorf's heart was imbalanced and when he touched the Triforce it split into its three separate pieces leaving Ganondorf with the piece that he desired the most, the Triforce of power.

The other two pieces disappeared and went out in search of someone who's heart would line up with their respected qualities.

Though Ganondorf had failed to claim the complete Trifore, he now possessed power that was similar to that of a god, with this power Ganondorf was able to quickly conquer all of Hyrule.

What remained of the Hylian army banded together with the Sheikah tribe and formed a resistance to fight against Ganondorf, the resistance fought for many years but in the end they was no match for Ganondorf and his army and they was defeated.

The defeat of the resistance led to the end of the remaining Hylain solders and the extinction of the Sheikah race, Ganondorf was careful not to leave a signal pocket of resistance in all of Hyrule.

The Gorons and the Zoras also tried to resist Ganondorf's rule, however the two races was punished dearly for the disobedience.

As the years when by the people lost hope that Ganondorf could ever be defeated and they accepted that he was now their king.

Princess Zelda never returned, and all throughout Hyrule now believed that she was dead and that the Hylain royal family lineage had ended.

During his rule Ganondorf never stopped searching for the other two piece of the Triforce, he knew that someone must possess them and he was determined to find these people and claim the remaining two pieces for himself.

Hyrule had now been under Ganondorf's rule for seven years.
