13.

Harlow smiled, sparing one more glance to Levi before entering the building and walking up the stairs towards her dorm. She hadn't been expecting to see him today, but it was a nice surprise. Things had been different with them lately. A lot more distanced, and while that helped her supress her feelings for him, it hurt her more being further away than it did being close. Harlow didn't know whether it was weird to suggest they meet up more often. It sort of just slipped out and while she did everything to look calm and relaxed on the outside her heart was hammering so loud against her chest, she was worried Levi would hear it during those few seconds where she waited for an answer. Still she was glad about the outcome, hopefully she would see him a lot more now on.

Harlow noticed he was different today. He seemed more open than he normally was. When Harlow saw him smile, she almost thought her heart was going to burst with happiness. She knew smiling was a rare thing for him and while she was sure he didn't mean to she felt proud to have witnessed such a thing. And if that was shocking Harlow thought she was going to drop dead when he heard him laugh. Honestly it was the most beautiful sound she had ever heard. In the moment Harlow promised herself she would do whatever it took to make him laugh and smile like that more often. If anyone deserved to laugh it was Levi. Harlow still didn't know what shit he had been through but from the way he acts it must have been bad. Plus having the same nightmare every night was awful. No wonder he had trouble sleeping. If Harlow had the nightmare, she had on her birthday every night of the year she would probably be the same or worse. She wondered how Levi coped. After he had shared that secret with him Harlow felt she could trust him more. It's why she told him a bit about herself as well. To show him she appreciated him opening up to her.

Harlow got into her dorm and quietly shut the door behind her. She yawned, placing her sketchbook and bag on her desk and falling on to her bed. It was really sweet of him to help her with her stuff today and to lend her his jumper. It had only helped Harlow to fall for the raven more. He didn't make it easy, repressing feelings for him. Harlow wondered why he let her keep his hoodie, not that she was complaining. It was really warm and smelt like him, Harlow wasn't ashamed to admit how safe she felt wearing it. Maybe he let her keep it because he's a clean freak and didn't want it back now that it probably smelt a bit like her. Yes. That was probably it, right? Still, he could have just washed it. Did she want it to mean something more? Did she want him to feel something more for her?

Harlow shook her head of the thoughts. She should probably get at least a few hours sleep. Harlow kicked off her Ugg boots and snuggled down under the covers. She left Levi's jumper on, not having the will power to take it off just yet. The last thought that rang through her head before closing her eyes was 'I hope Levi gets some sleep'.

Harlow was jolted awake an hour later by the sound of her name and someone shaking her. Harlow blinked twice before opening her eyes properly, the sting of the air causing them to narrow and making Harlow want to retreat into herself even more. So, she did, groaning before pulling her pillow over her head.

"Harlow! Wake up! Please, come on you promised!" Izzy whined loudly. Harlow couldn't even think straight right now. All she wanted was sleep. What had she promised?

"Huh?" Harlow said quietly in confusion. Izzy ripped the pillow off of her head causing Harlow to groan and squint at the sudden change in light intensity. She sat up, annoyed now, glaring at her redhead friend. Izzy smirked in triumph. "What do you want?" Harlow snapped, sleep deprivation starting to get to her. No wonder why Levi was such a dick all the time if he got this amount of sleep every night.

"You promised me you would help me with maths and English in the library today since the exams are coming up soon and I suck." Izzy explained. Harlow sighed in remembrance. She had promised. What kind of idiot promises to go to the library, before 7, on a Saturday morning? Apparently, Harlow, the idiot. Harlow glared at Izzy before giving in and fully waking herself up. Abandoning all hope of a few more hours sleep.

"Fine." Harlow grumbled. Izzy squealed and gave her a hug before pulling back and looking at her with a confused but serious face. Harlow quirked a brow at her behaviour. "What?" Harlow asked. Izzy pinched the fabric of Harlow's jumper and tugged on it. Oh. That's what.

"This isn't yours and it sure as hell doesn't smell like you. Where were you last night anyway, I woke up around 3 and you were missing, I figured you were just in the bathroom or something." Izzy asked firmly with crossed arms. Harlow gulped. She didn't really want Izzy to know about her midnight meetings with Levi. Or that he gave her his jumper. It was all innocent, but Izzy was a dramatic person and would likely makes something out of it and embarrass both Harlow and Levi when they were next together. Plus, as selfish as it was, the waterfall was hers and Levi's spot she didn't really want Izzy or Farlan intruding on that.

"It's not my jumper. It was my best friend Marco's. He lives back in England. I always loved it, so he gave it to me as a parting gift. I practically had to wrestle it off his boyfriend. I was feeling home sick last night so I put it on. As for where I was last night. I got hot while doing my art piece and went outside to cool down for a bit. It's finished by the way." Harlow lied expertly. Although she did have a friend called Marco and she didn't get along with his boyfriend. Izzy narrowed her eyes at her for a second but then smiled and hopped of the bed. Harlow let out a silent breath of relief, apparently the redhead bought it. Or if she didn't, she was playing it off too. Then the last part of Harlow's explanation seemed to dawn on Izzy, and she bolted over to Harlow's desk.

"It's really done! Can I see?!" Izzy asked, jumping up and down on the spot in anticipation. Harlow laughed and nodded, picking up her phone while Izzy started flipping through her book. Harlow looked up when Izzy squealed and held a hand over her mouth in surprise. Apparently, she had found it. "HARLOW! OH, MY FUCKING GOD THIS IS INSANE! ITS LIKE LEVI'S RIGHT HERE IN THE ROOM GLARING AT ME!" Isabel yelled in delight. Harlow laughed, proud at her reaction. She watched as Izzy took a few snaps of the photo and started doing something on her phone.

"Uh, what are you doing? If you post that anywhere Levi will actually murder me. He made it very clear only my professor could see this." Harlow blurted out nervously. Levi might actually kill her. He didn't seem like the type make threats he wouldn't carry out. Izzy snorted but continued typing away.

"Like there was any way he would murder you." Izzy mumbled to herself.

"What?" Harlow asked, confused.

"Nothing. And don't worry I'm just sending it to Levi and Farlan. He said he wants to see it right, to approve it?" Izzy asked, her eyes keeping on her phone. Harlow knew she could tell Iz that Levi had already seen it so she would have to lie again.

"Yeah." Harlow replied. She pulled off Levi's jumper and folded it neatly before putting it in her dresser and going to take a shower. She would need one to wake up if she was going to be revising all morning.
