".so, the treaty is signed and takes effect today...I- "onoki was interrupted by a knock on the door. He was really becoming annoyed; he just needed a few more minutes with lady tora.

"enter!" he said in agitation

Onoki gasped when he saw who entered.

"suno…"

"cut the pleasantries. Why am I here. The summons would not say why. I thought I wasn't supposed to called unless the village itself was under attack."

As soon as he could suno left the village. He told his father where, but he refused to come home. He hated his father and the land of stone. They took away his friend...the girl he loved. He wanted nothing to do with anyone from it.

Onoki's heart cracked just a little. He knew his son would be upset especially everything that had taken place over the years…

"suno…I have someone here who I would like you to meet. Lady tora...this is my son suno…he was a very loyal friend of your mothers…"

Onoki watched as various emotions played upon his son's face.

"...Haruhi…" suno whispered

"…I'm sorry…haruhi is my mother…my name is Hinata…I'm her eldest daughter."

Suno blinked

"haruhi's alive? you're her daughter so…"

"I'm sorry." Hinata told him. "my mother died from a sickness when I was five…."

"...oh. I see. So, father why did you call me back?" suno asked as his face went back to angry and bored.

"...I would like for you to be the diplomat for the village hidden in the mountains and our village. And when I go to the kage summit and the chunin exams…I would like for you and lady tora to accompany me."

Suno mouth opened and closed.

"did you say tora…. like as in the tiger clan that was slaughtered years ago?"

"Hai. Lady tora here left the fire country to restore and lead the tora clan. They were dying out, but she helped improve them. She even found the last remaining summoning tigers."

"She- she did!" suno said shocked

Onoki nodded.

Suno went silent.

"No…. now goodbye. Tell kuro…I said hi."

With that said he walked out the door.

Hinata, however followed

"suno! Suno! Please wait!"

Sasuke walked out the café alone. Naruto and sakura decided to leave but not before telling him that they would like him to join them sometime.

Of course, they did not stay….no one ever stayed, he had always been alone. Even when he was a genin and girls fawned over him, none of it mattered because at the end of the day they went home to families with homes. He did not and the only person who could understand that was Naruto. but his time being the village hero not once but twice blinded him. Naruto was now getting the attention he always wanted. The girls...the fame…in a few years he would be Hokage. just like he dreamed but being the village hero could only last so long, eventually he would have to prove himself again and again and again. A part of him was a little jealous. He helped too, tried to make amends, tried to redeem himself and nothing…but that thought made Sasuke grin. He did try to kill everyone he knew he was so greedy for power that he got lost along the way, so he had no reason to be jealous.

Besides Sasuke…got something he never knew he wanted. A family.

He had a wife, someone waiting on him to return. Someone to love and someone to love him back.

Sasuke heart warmed as he thought of her.

Hinata…

"suno san! Please wait!"

Suno sighed and turned around.

"what?"

"The only reason your leaving is because of what this all meant to you. My mother was your friend and seeing me brings up those memories but if you would just come see the village, or just give it a test run. for a week be the ambassador…and then if you don't want it you can leave."

"where was haruhi taken?" he asked her, completely ignoring her offer.

"...she was rescued from her kidnappers and taken to the leaf village orphanage. She was then adopted by the Hyuga clan where she met my father. She died when I was five…she became really sick."

Suno was silent.

"I want to see her grave and then I'll give you an answer."

"…it would have to be when lord onoki and I go to the chunin exams and that's at the end of the year. Would you at least consider? For my mother…?" she asked

"give me a few weeks…"

Hinata nodded and then suno disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

Mother…please...help him. she thought as she headed back to the village. Her heart ached. She missed her husband…her people missed him as well. And she prayed he was getting what he needed, so he could come home…

Sasuke fell to the ground as he finished his temporary home. Combined with jutsu and his summons's help him finished. It was just a simple one-bedroom shack. It was good enough to keep him warm and dry…but it was not home. Home was his wife...hime was-

Sasuke looked up when he felt the flicker of chakra.

Sakura…what was she doing here?

"s-Sasuke!" she called

"hn." He answered

"...HI! Look I wanted to apologize for today…we did not really consider your feelings with you just being back and everything."

Sasuke nodded. Acknowledging her apology.

She stood there and just stared.

"...something else you need sakura?"

"well, I was just thinking…your hair…it's gotten really long…I could cut it for you." She offered

"...no thank you. Good night sakura. I'll see you and the rest of the team sometime during the week."

With that said, he went into his freshly built house.

Sakura haruno stood there for a minute.

Sasuke...acknowledged her and he was polite. Her heart skipped a beat. His eyes had met hers and he did not tell her to go away.

Things were finally going her way. With a skip in her step, she went home to come up with a way to make him feel more at home.
