I was going to have dinner at Naruto-sensei's house today. I need to get them a gift for inviting me. I wondered if sake would be proper. "Can I get a copy of that early too?"

"Boruto! You can't ask that", Hinata said

"It's ok. I'll see what I can do. Once I'm done with the second book, I can give you the pages my editor doesn't like. It won't be for a while, but I think I should be able to do that. You have to keep it a secret until the book is printed. Maybe it will be a collector item if the book does really well".

"THANK YOU! I will!" Just then, there was a knock at the door. I guess the other guest was here.

"Sasuke! Welcome! We were waiting for you", Naruto said. I could immediately feel my face turn red. Did they set this up?

"Sensei! You're here for dinner too?" Boruto said

"Yes"

"Mommy, I think Miss Kazue might be choking. Her face is really red", Himawari said. Damn kids with no filters.

Dinner went well. The kids were interested in my adventures traveling, so I told them the non-violent encounters since Himawari was still young. "You're not taking time to enjoy stuff? I think you promised to do that".

"I think I'd enjoy them better if I was with you."

"I said I wanted to enjoy stuff with you. I took the time to think about what I wanted to make me happy, and that was you. After I saw you at the gate that day, I later realized that you might have thought I chose Sakura, but that wasn't the case. We just agreed to separate and just be friends so we can raise Sarada together. That day was her first big mission. After you left, I tried to be happy, but all I could think about was you. "Please don't say 'you complete me'!" I said as I started laughing.

"Why?"

"It's one of the corniest phrases from the corniest movie. But I feel the same way too. I guess I don't have big girl emotions yet. I probably would have been a sad sack of crap once I came back. The book tour was distracting enough, but the nights were pretty sad".

"I'm sorry."

"Well, you're here now, so there's nothing to be sorry for. Did you put Naruto up to this?"

"No. He only said that he would mention to you that I was separated. He came up with this whole dinner thing on his own"

"Your friend is pretty awesome."

"I know."

"I hear we're neighbors now."

"Yeah. Two doors down from you".

"I'm looking for a new place."

"Naruto mentioned that too."

"That damn Hokage knows everything."

"Seems like it."

"Well…we can be roommates if you want. You can even help me find a place".

"I was asking if you want to move in with me. It doesn't have to be right now. Just whenever you're ready".

Nothing would make me happier. I just have to get the paperwork signed with Sakura. I think I owe her that much"

"I understand."
