Author's Warning: Some Making Out but nothing drastic
Chapter 11: Preparations Part 1
Vergil woke up, slowly turned and smiled softly. Dante was sleeping peacefully in the bed besides the elder. After returning home, the two stayed up late talking and getting to know each other. There was some making out of course but they worked on their intimacy. Dante was impressed at the fact that while they were separated, that Vergil managed to work and study, as well as travel. The world was his schoolhouse and Vergil made certain he became self-sufficient. Dante had to learn this as well, he worked hard as well, but he had a hunger to make his mark but with a purpose. When Morris Island was attacked and Dante had to leave, he felt a burning sense of justice needed to be served. The flames became an inferno when Vergil threw himself into the Underworld and became even more so with Nero and the Quilopoth.
Vergil was impressed and pleased at how well Dante turned out in his absence. He knew that the Hunter wanted him there with him, but something told the elder that Dante needed to grow up. He threw himself into the Underworld, not just their father's power, but to ensure that Dante did not become co-dependent on him. His mistake on that move, unbeknownst to him, was rendering Nero fatherless for a spell. He never stopped loving Dante, but he refused to coddle him. He always made sure that he didn't. It irritated him to no end that their own mother did that. This was one of the matters that Vergil overheard their parents arguing on. Sparda vehemently stated that the boys, Dante especially, should not be coddled that they needed to be strong in order to be able to stand in the world. Eva argued that they were just children and should enjoy just being children. Vergil realized that they were both right. While it was true that they had to learn to hold their own, twin eight-year-old boys shouldn't be pulling a man's load. They ended up growing up fast, not because they wanted to, they needed to. As with their father, they didn't have a choice or say in the matter. It had to be done.
They turned out to like almost the same things, with some differences. While Vergil enjoyed more classier things, Dante enjoyed more simple pleasures. Vergil still enjoyed playing the violin while Dante loved and played guitars, and he could sing! His voice could be ethereal or down right Rockstar. Vergil didn't dare sing. It wasn't because he couldn't. To Dante's surprise, the big badass was painfully shy to sing on stage!
"I never expected you to be so shy." Dante said softly. "You're always carry yourself as such a badass!"
"I am a badass, but even a badass has their obstacles."
"Well, it's better than say, scared of a rubber duck." At this Vergil laughed as he poured their drinks, a glass of wine for himself and a scotch for Dante.
"You know we'll have to find a more suitable drink for you."
"What's wrong with whiskey?"
"Too…simple."
"Bourbon?"
"No!"
"Rum?"
"You're killing me."
"Then what?"
"Wine, Moscato, Sangria?"
"Sissy."
"Oh God, what am I going to do with you?"
"Just love me." Came the reply and Vergil couldn't help but smile.
"Good morning my Heart." He whispered as he saw the Hunter stirring. Dante opened his eyes slowly and smiled.
"Morning Babe." The Hunter replied. "So, what's on the agenda today?"
"Breakfast then we will figure it out." Vergil said softly. Dante stretched and smiled.
"Sounds like a plan." Dante said before gasping softly as the elder pulled him under and kissed him deeply, when they finally broke for air, Dante grinned.
"Mhm, now it's a great morning." The Hunter said as he eased off the bed. Vergil laid down and purred in agreement. He was quite pleased…
"I'll get breakfast started." Dante said with a slight blush. Vergil nodded but remained where he was. He didn't dare move. Dante grinned when he heard a lustful moan coming from the bedroom. Score for Dante, I'm up one!
Vergil laid back on the bed, pleasantly spent. He was thankful that Dante left when he did. If he hadn't, I would've ravished him…. soon I will make him mine and render him with ournestling. Ah, that's what we can do, prepare for what's to come. After composing himself, Vergil went downstairs and was pleasantly surprised. A beautifully cooked breakfast was set up for them both and it smelled and looked delicious and picturesque. Wow….
"Ah, there you are, right on time." Dante said with a small as he set the tea down. Vergil blinked.
"If I'm not dreaming, let's get married before noon." He said with a heated whisper as he held the Hunter close, lightly kissing his neck. Dante shivered with pleasure.
"Slow your roll Babe, I'm not going anywhere." Dante chuckled. Vergil smirked but released him, allowing him to sit before taking his own seat at the head of the table. He stopped at first and turned to where Dante sat, surprised that he chose the seat he sat in when they were children.
"My Heart, come here."
"What's wrong Babe?"
"You're in the wrong seat."
"But I always sat here…" Dante began but he accepted Vergil's hand, allowing him to help him up and escorted him to the seat their mother sat in and put his hand down.
"Times have changed, My Heart." Vergil said calmly as he stood by the chair their father formally sat in. "As has the family dynamics. I am the new patriarch, so it falls to me to sit here. You, now sit where Mother sat, and Nero, when he is here and big enough, will sit where I did, and so forth." Dante nodded in understanding and tilted his head, waiting patiently. Vergil nodded and both sat down in their respective seats and had breakfast, after a moment of silence for their parents, and for what was. Dante looked at the elder and surprised him by holding his hand and giving it a gentle squeeze, getting one in return. Now, we can look to what will be…
The two explored their lands and continued to prep and fix what they were able. What seemed out of date magically, Vergil destroyed and replaced. Dante looked at the ruined playground and went to work, sketching a design for a new one. When he was done, he showed it to the elder who studied it over and nodded and took the prints to the foreman who familiar with the manor.
"That was an exceptional design My Heart." Vergil praised. "How did…"
"It just came to me and I put it down before it flew out of my head. I do that a lot, write it down, or draw it just to make sure I don't lose it."
"That is a brilliant idea." Vergil said with a nod. "What else do you have in mind?"
"Not sure, ah, when we were kids, we had extraordinarily little when our parents…. passed…" Vergil knew exactly where Dante was going with this. He couldn't chalk it up to paranoia for he felt the same way.
"We would need an attorney." The elder said. Dante perked and pulled out his cell phone, which had Vergil tilting his head. Dante held his hand as he waited for the phone call to connect.
"Hello?"
"Bradley? Hi, it's Dante, how's it going?"
"Oh Dante, hello, yes it has been a while. I'm doing ok. It's good to hear from you, how are you?"
"I'm ok, listen, are you free to talk for a bit? It's a business matter."
"For you Dante, I'll clear my schedule." Bradley said over the phone. Vergil raised an eyebrow and looked at his fiancé. Dante looked up at the elder and kissed him lovingly. The elder kissed back, searching his mind. He relaxed when he saw that Bradley was just a friend. Good, I don't have to kill him. He darted his tongue into the Hunter's mouth, mapping out every inch. Dante moaned and felt his knees go. Vergil held him and continued his exploration.
"Uh, Dante? Hello?" Bradley said over the phone as the lovers continued to kiss. When he heard moans and gasps the demon blushed. Oh my…He chuckled nervously and hung up the phone, truly happy for his friend. He'll remember. He deserves to be happy.
When they finally broke for air, the two panted and their lips were swollen, and their faces were flushed. They looked like they had a full on make out fest! When Dante saw his phone in his hand he laughed.
"Oops, I forgot about Bradley." He said with a sheepishly. Vergil chuckled darkly, sporting a wicked grin. Dante couldn't be angry with the elder, in fact, he found Vergil's act of possessiveness quite endearing. The elder had the cat who ate the canary grin. You Wicked Fuck! Dante thought. But I love you.
The two knocked on Bradley's office door an hour later after the phone call. The meek looking man politely greeted them and offered them a seat.
"I figured you needed privacy," Bradley said with a blush. Dante laughed softly while Vergil chuckled, holding Dante close. He wasn't taking any chances. Even though I can easily snap him like a piece of dry wood…He grinned evilly but yelped when Dante whacked him on the thigh.
"Play nice, don't be a douche." Dante whispered. Vergil rubbed his thigh but didn't argue with the Hunter. He was acting a little bit of a jerk…. a what? He was about to ask when he heard Bradley chuckling. He sensed the other man's aura. He's a demon!
"You're not human…" Vergil said as he held Dante closer to him, itching to unsheathe Yamato and dice the demon into confetti.
"No, I'm not, but I live among them in peace." Bradley said. "Not all demon kind are hell bent on torturing humans. There are a few of us that wish to live as equals."
"That's admirable." Vergil said as he sat back a bit, relaxing. "You're an attorney I take it?"
"I am. I specialize in family law and business law." This made Vergil grin, impressed at his beloved's thinking. Bradley was exactly what they needed. Since he was also a demon, so there was no need to sugarcoat anything!
"You two done?" Dante asked with a grin. "Bradley, this is Vergil…" Bradley's eyes widened at the mention of the elder. He whimpered and dropped to one knee.
"My King…"
"And this is why I didn't ask you to come out to meet us." Dante sighed. "Bradley, come on its ok."
"Holy crap! Dante why didn't you tell me you were bringing the King of the Underworld here?" Bradley asked fearful for his life. Vergil was chuckling, taking wicked pleasure in the other demon squirming. Dante sighed and shook his head. Wicked Fuck, I swear….
"Vergil please, play nice! Bradley its ok, really. Vergil has a bit of a wicked streak."
"Come now My Heart, you know you love it." Vergil chuckled as he sat back in his seat. Poor Bradley meeped and passed out. The last thing he heard was:
"Great, I think you killed him."
"And I didn't even touch him." Vergil cackled.
"I swear to God, I said yes to a Wicked Fuck of a Devil!" Dante cried. Vergil just cackled richly, sitting back in the chair.
