The bots and cons were sitting down at dinner time and all they were making conversation as they ate. Then Hot shot noticed something Side swipe wasn't eating his cyber peas. "Side swipe eat vegetables, you need the vitamins so you can grow into a top notch warrior like you want to some day," Hot shot told him.

"But I hate cyber peas," Side swipe whined.

"You never had them before," Hot shot said.

"Yes I have, remember the day before I turn four I tried them in the mess hall, and I didn't like them and the cook wouldn't give me anything else to eat not even another piece of bread even though I was hungry remember?" Side swipe snapped.

"Oh I forgot about that day in the mess hall," Hot shot said. "Sorry, but you still need to eat your vegetables," he said.

"I don't want to eat the cyber peas I don't like them," Side swipe said.

"Well there got to be vegetable here that he will eat," Cyclonus said.

"Do you see any vegetable that you like kid?" Scavenger asked.

"Yes the tech carrots," Side swipe said.

Then Hot shot placed a serving of tech carrots on Side swipe's plate and he started to eat them without complaint. Hot shot was satisfied now that he brother was eating his vegetables.

Soon after dinner the bots and cons were watching tv and Hot shot gave Side swipe his bath. Blurr noticed Hot shot took the care of Side swipe seriously. "He really seems to care about that kid an awful lot," Blurr said.

"Side swipe is his little brother," Wheeljack said. "Even though Hot shot was about 16 years old when Side swipe was born Hot shot loves him to bits, you see shortly after Hot shot turned 19 his parents died and they wanted Hot shot to be Side swipe's legal guardian, because all their family that was still alive lived too far away on other planets and Hot shot always took excellent care of his little brother and always did a good job at baby sitting local kids, so they chose him to be the legal guardian," he explained. "Pretty much they are all each other have to call family most of the family that is still alive they barely know because they live so far away and don't see them often," he said. "So Hot shot has to be responsible for Side swipe's up bringing." he added.

"I see," Blurr said.

"Yes and Hot shot takes this very seriously," Wheeljack said.

"Yes he does, and Hot shot originally wanted Side swipe to stay on Cybertron while he went to earth, but Side swipe chose to follow Hot shot because he couldn't bare being parted from his big brother," Red alert explained.

"I see," Blurr said.

Soon Side swipe was watching TV with them then about around 8:00 clock Side swipe started to doze off. "Okay time for you go to bed," Hot shot said picking him up. Once in Side swipe's room Hot shot tucked him in and turned on his night light. "Good night Side swipe," he said turning out the light.

"There we go Side swipe is now in bed," Hot shot said.

"You know Hot shot soon school will start and Side swipe is old enough to start Kindergarten, and I heard from the other bots on the planet that they would be sending their kids to school when it starts and plus people will be concerned if someone Side swipe's age isn't school," Hannah explained.

"Don't worry I just finished filling out Side swipe's school application and I am about to send it off tomorrow so no worries," Hot shot said.

Then a couple of weeks later Side swipe was having breakfast when Hot shot came up. "Okay today Side swipe and I will be meeting his kindergarten teacher." Hot shot said.

Side swipe looked a little nervous. "There is no need to be scared Side swipe," Hannah told him.

"Yes Kindergarten is fun," Diantha said. "You get to paint and draw," she said.

"Hear stories, play games, build with blocks, make things out of clay, and even learn the numbers and the alphabet," Noah told him.

"There are four kindergarten teachers who does Side swipe have as a teacher?" Marcus asked.

"He has Ms. Dogwood," Hot shot said. "I saw the list earlier when I went by the school," he said.

"Ms. Dogwood is a nice lady, I see her in town a lot, and she brings her dog to the clinic to be treated and for his check up and shots," Marcus said.

"Yes I met Ms. Dogwood she is very patient too," Hannah said. "So no need to be scared," she told Side swipe.

That day Side swipe and Hot shot went to the school and headed off to the kindergarten classrooms. "Hello I am Ms. Dogwood," she said.

"I am Hot shot and this is my little brother Side swipe, he's going to be in your kindergarten class," Hot shot said.

There were other kids with their parents human and transformer to meet the teacher. "Who are some of those kids?" Side swipe asked.

"They are your classmates," Ms. Dogwood told him. "You will soon get to know them when you start school," she said.

A couple of days later Hot shot dropped Side swipe off at the bus stop. "Be a good boy at school okay little brother," Hot shot said.

"Yes Hot shot," Side swipe said.

"I will be here to meet you at the bus stop after school with the bus drops you off," Hot shot told him.

"Okay," Side swipe said and climbed on the bus. He saw another bot student in one of the seats. "May I sit here?" he asked.

"Sure thing," he said to Side swipe. Side swipe sat down next to him.

"I'm Side swipe," Side swipe said.

"I'm Wedge," Wedge said.

"What grade are you in?" Side swipe asked.

"Kindergarten," Wedge answered.

"Me too," Side swipe said. "Who do you have as a teacher I have Ms. Dogwood," he said.

"Me too," Wedge said.

The bus stopped and picked up more kids human and transformer and the bus was getting pretty noisy. The bus stopped at the school and the kids all climbed off. Side swipe and Wedge walked to Ms. Dogwood's class together.

Then Hot shot was waiting at the bus stop for Side swipe. Side swipe climbed off the bus along with a few other kids. "Hey Side swipe how was your first day?" Hot shot asked.

"I had a great time, I drew pictures, I learned some numbers, and even some of the alphabet, Ms. Dogwood is even helping me learn to read and write," Side swipe said.

"Well that's nice," Hot shot said.

"Wedge and I also built a block city and we even played dress up and played on the seesaw together at recess," Side swipe said.

"Who is Wedge?" Hot shot asked.

"He's a kid in my class," Side swipe said. Then Wedge got off the bus.

"See you tomorrow, Side swipe," Wedge said.

"See you tomorrow," Side swipe said.

"Hello Wedge, I am Hot shot, Side swipe's older brother," Hot shot said.

"Hi," Wedge said.

"Sorry I'm late Wedge, I was held up in an engineering meeting," a large bot said coming up.

"It's okay Wideload," Wedge said. "Wideload this is my new friend Side swipe," Wedge said.

"Nice to meet you Side swipe I am Wedge's big brother Wideload," Wideload said.

"Hi, this my big brother Hot shot," Side swipe said.

"Hello Hot shot I'm Wideload," Wideload said.

"Nice to meet you Wideload," Hot shot said shaking his hand. "I'm glad our younger brothers are friends," he said.

"Me too," Wideload said.

"Do you live around here?" Hot shot asked.

"Yes we are in base a few blocks down," Wideload said.

"So you live in a base close to the forest," Hot shot said. "We live in the base in a field where a cave is," Hot shot said.

"So we live pretty close together," Wideload said.

"Wideload can Sideswipe come over play?" Wedge asked.

"Can I Hot shot?" Side swipe asked.

"I see nothing wrong with it, it depends on what Wideload says," Hot shot said.

"Sorry not today Wedge has martial arts class in an hour," Wideload said with a sigh.

"Ah man," Wedge said. "I was really hoping Side swipe could come over and play," he said.

"Another time, okay," Wideload said taking Wedge home.

Hot shot took Side swipe home.
