Jack and Jill IV
Chapter 30
The United States and everyone else were still fighting the troops that the Amplitur had landed. Since Jack was depending on what the various countries that had been attacking knew, he was doing his best to listen and learn.
They couldn't stay awake all day and Storm had long since gone to bed anyway since he had plans to stay up all night.
Alexis heard a soft knock on her door that sounded very timid. She had two sleeping puppies in her room and she was presently getting a drink and was thinking of watching some TV or maybe a movie to force herself to take her mind off their planet being attacked. She opened the door and there was Jayne. "It's about time. Get in here." She pulled him inside.
"Naked, my bed, now." Alexis pointed at her bedroom and watched him go that way. She decided to forgo her drink and watching TV. She went into her bedroom, closed the door, and was just in time to see Jayne sitting naked on the edge of her bed.
That had her taking off all her clothes in front of him and she was aware his eyes were glued to her breasts. Alexis walked up to him and pressed his face between her breasts.
"You don't really want me, do you?" She had, in a way, forced herself on him.
"I'm confused, Alexis. You're lovely, sexy, your skin is smooth and perfect and you're tight. But you're in a way my boss." Jayne couldn't help it.
"So you do like me. I love the difference between us that and you're big. Almost too big. I haven't had anyone in a long time. Not before Dad was injured. I don't get out so you were right about that." Alexis stepped back a touch and let go of his head. "Your choice. I'll stop trying to force myself onto you. But I'd like you to stay. If Storm is right this might be a while and neither of us are going to see anyone else for months."
Jayne was still conflicted, however, she and her body had reached him. Her skin color did have something to do with it. Jayne pulled her in close and began to suck on her nipple, making sure it was hard. He felt Alexis hold his head in place and she moaned. They were going to have sex again tonight and probably for countless nights to come. He was even planning to put her on her hands and knees and fuck her.

Jayne woke up suddenly and found a naked Alexis draped all over him. He also found a puppy literally lying on its back right next to her, sound asleep. He didn't see the other one but he was betting it was in this bed somewhere.
They had used two condoms last night though based on how dark it was outside it was still last night. He also had a sudden idea. He just needed to move Alexis and make sure none of the puppies fell on the floor.
With a little work he was on the floor on his knees and he had a sleeping Alexis with her legs spread wide and it gave him a perfect view of her core. She had these little wisps of orange hair and she looked perfect. He also knew she tasted pretty good as well. He got to work and only noticed that Alexis was awake when she ran a hand over his bare head then grabbed his head and held it in place as her moans and whimpers got louder.

Kate's only real problem was giving Rick a bath or ever a shower. He only had the one chair and she couldn't get it wet in the shower. There was a nice big tub and Kate was looking forward to using it herself but after a quick test showed that Rick couldn't stand up for himself long enough it had her putting him in the tub and started filling it.
Rick was naked and she was naked just to keep her clothes from getting wet and began bathing him. "You're going into the pool after this, babe. You need to work on those muscles then use the equipment we bought you. You can rest outside and get some sun for a bit before I move you to the table for lunch. After that it's your choice."
"I actually like the pool." It was cool enough while warm and easy to use and try and swim in.
"Good." Kate kissed him and finished cleaning him.
Now she had to get him out of the tub and around the corner to reach the toilet so she could get him to sit on it. This was new and she was willing to give it a try. He needed to have a bowl movement for himself instead of her doing it for him. Flushing it all away she still had to clean him up but it was easier on her.
Dressed in one of his swimsuits and in his chair she let him head for the pool while she put on her own swimsuit to join him in the pool. What they both saw was that Storm was already in the pool and both puppies were checking him out while checking out the pool again but still not brave enough to get in.
"I didn't hear anything local last night," Kate mentioned to Storm.
"Nope, all quiet. I don't really expect anything for a while but I need to get used to being up all night." So he could be ready if the need arose.
"You two first." Kate picked up one black puppy and put him in the pool and reached for the second and put her on the top step. Next came getting Rick into the pool.
"You've gotten good at that," Storm noticed.
"He doesn't weigh what he should and I've had a lot of practice," Kate responded.
"She's very good," Rick agreed.
"Now swim, you need to work on those muscles." Kate stood back to watch him.
"Shouldn't he be using all those exercise bands we got him?" Storm inquired.
"He swims first then uses those. After that we eat lunch and he takes a nap if he needs it. Water is fun isn't it? Yes it is!" Kate began paying attention to the puppies who were walking back and forth and taste testing the water again.
"Careful, it's deep out here." Kate lifted them out one at a time and they shook themselves dry. Now they were trying to reach Rick who was swimming.
"So what's your schedule?" Kate asked Storm.
"Stay up all night. Get my sleep in during the day. Either relaxing like now or working where needed before going to bed and getting my sleep. You have Jayne during the day. I'll wake up if anyone starts shooting. I sleep pretty light and my room is the closest to the main gate.
"I have control, Jayne has control, and Jack has control over all the claymores and C4 if needed. Are we going to need any of it? Better to have what you never use than to wish you had it and don't. Just remember in the future everyone will need to get used to carrying a weapon with them all the time."
Kate was keeping an eye on Rick. "We seemed to be doing pretty good when I went to bed last night."
"Us yes, but what happens when they reach China? How many items have 'Made in China' stamped on it? What happens when they can't ship all that stuff? No more refrigerators, no more cameras, no more a lot of things," Storm said.
"They can't ship it so we can't sell it. If we can't sell it people lose jobs. People lose jobs and our economy goes down the toilet. This really isn't just about defeating the Amplitur, is it?" Kate was catching on.
"When people can't find what they want, they riot to get what they want. When that doesn't work they steal it. Or kill to get what they want because they need it. That's why you're staying up all night. You really are good." Kate was still impressed.
"If someone figures out what we have that they don't, they may decide to try. I haven't used all of the claymores or all of the C4 so we can do this twice if needed," Storm told her. "After that we'll have a problem. That happens and we may have to run for it. But we have time."
Kate turned attention back to Rick. "You're doing great, babe, keep going," she encouraged. "And you two get him, go get him!" She urged her puppies to keep chasing Rick.
"So where are the other two?" Storm asked.
"We worked out a rough who does what last night. Jayne is tending to the horses and Alexis is tending to the hydroponics, greenhouse and vegetable garden. If either of them have a possible problem they come find me and we get Jill to have Jack research what to do and fix it.
"Alexis takes care of her two puppies and I take care of my two or all four depending on where they are," Kate added. "Once Rick is down for a nap after his workout I head out to inspect the lemon trees after making lunch for everyone. Then find Alexis to see if she needs help. Followed by making dinner and taking care of Rick.
"Jayne has the horses and keeps watch." Their deal was still open to adjustments as needed.
"What we haven't yet solved is what happens to all our trash if or when the trash truck stops coming," Kate said. "And we have to get the bin out our locked gate to be picked up."
"Bury it somewhere I suppose. Burning it will give away that someone's here. Come steal from us and get yourself killed." It was all Storm had for an idea.
Rick helped himself to sit down on a step and rest. "Do you two need back in the water again?" The puppies liked that Rick was no longer a moving target but not yet ready to just jump into the pool to reach him. So one by one Kate caught them and put them on the top step where Rick could play with them if he chose.

Everyone was done with lunch and Storm retreated to his room to get some sleep before staying up all night. All four puppies were crashed out in the sun and sleeping.
"Anyone find anything we need to talk about? Anything broken that needs repair? Anything?" Alexis questioned after Storm was gone and got a lot of shaking heads.
So far everything was working out perfectly. "About the only potential problem is going to be fresh produce and no milk, or butter, or cheese, and perhaps one day not being able to get any more," Kate mentioned since she was doing all the cooking.
"We can go shopping locally for as long as we can. Unlock the gate and take a truck one morning while Storm is still up. Jayne and I, I guess. As for later, that's what the greenhouse and hydroponics are for. Milk, butter, eggs, and cheese. We do without I suppose." Alexis didn't have any other ideas. "But we have chickens. Forgot about those guys.
"Who's feeding them?" They had chicken feed piled up close by under a tarp they had found and put to use.
Jayne spoke up. "I have been after I check on the horses and make my rounds checking the gates."
"It's not New York City but I could learn to like it here," Alexis commented.
"In some ways it's better than New York City," Kate said. "I don't run the risk of getting run over when I jaywalk. There's a lot less smog. No trash in the streets. No horns honking."
"Who's looking after the pool?" Alexis queried.
"Storm," Kate replied and laughed a little. "Right after we tell him later. He can do it before lunch."
Jayne was all smiles. "That will go over big."
"He's a big boy and he has the time." Alexis grinned wide since Jayne probably had a point.

Kate made dinner and left some for Storm to warm up later once he woke up to spend his night watching and waiting for something bad to happen.
It was dark out when Storm showed up and was told where his dinner was. He could eat while everyone sat outside and watched the night sky. Then the puppies decided they wanted to play so now everyone was out in the grass with a toy, except Storm who was eating. The idea was to wear them out so they slept all night.
Tired sleeping puppies came fast so everyone was back in the patio area at the pool with Storm. "How about an update, Jack?" Rick asked and both Jack and Jill showed themselves. "I don't think we need a play by play any longer."
"In all locations you have ground troops hunting what remains down. All of the planes have landed as have all of the helicopters. Small teams have been sent to various sites that have downed drop ships. The occupants should all be dead, however, perhaps they want to be sure.
"What is puzzling is that no other combat is taking place. They have not attempted to send down more reinforcements or attacked a different location." Jack had no history of that ever happening before on any other planet.
"Like I said before, they're not expecting us," Storm repeated.
"They aren't used to losing so fast. You said taking a planet could take years so they must do things slowly. But doing that means the people you are attacking have time to set up a defense," Jayne mentioned.
"That or they typically send a smaller force. So why is ours so big if they didn't know much about us? Diverted an attack group away from one of your planets perhaps," Storm offered since it made sense to him.
"A possibility." Jack was willing to agree.
"So plan A hasn't worked. Then what is plan B?" Kate questioned.
"They know what we can do so they go somewhere else," Rick suggested.
Storm had an idea what might be next. "Who has a satellite phone?"
"Kitchen, I'll get it." Kate brought it back and handed it over to him.
They all watched him dial and finally get Madam Secretary. "Storm, here. Through Jack we monitored what happened and what is happening now and we're starting to question what plan B is."
"Hold that thought," Elizabeth told them and was gone for a few minutes. "I have Dennis of the Joint Chiefs with me now. We're willing to listen because you have Jack and Jill."
"This isn't so much Jack and Jill as me. An attempt at a direct assault has failed for the most part. They're used to it taking years to completely take a planet. A defeat of this size, this fast, is not in their history." Storm tried to build up to his idea.
"I'm listening," Dennis told him since they had a few ideas of their own.
"Direct combat has failed so next comes insertion," Storm said.
"We've considered that," Dennis said. "It's just that any drop ship they send down will show up on radar and we'll know."
"Quite true, but not all of this planet has that much radar. Consider this. You send down another force. They expect you to do just what you did last time. They land and go back for reinforcements," Storm persisted.
"And get shot out of the sky and gain nothing," Dennis said tersely.
"If they repeat what they just did, yes. But what if that force was all that was coming down and they don't land in a wheat field in Kansas this time? They land in the middle of Red Square, the Forbidden City, Peterson Air Force Base. Say all three and each one has an Amplitur who immediately begins Suggesting. Direct combat has failed so what is plan B?" Storm waited.
"An Amplitur lands and starts taking over. We would be forced to make a choice." Dennis meant kill their own while trying to kill the Amplitur. "Not a pleasant scenario."
"The question is are the Amplitur willing to risk their own lives to take this planet?" Storm asked since he didn't have an answer to that.
"We'll keep it in mind. Anything else?" Dennis queried since he wasn't really sure how to counter that scenario just yet.
"Just one more and I haven't discussed this with Jack or Jill yet. But what if, just what if, they send a message down to talk?. They want to talk to convince us to join their great Purpose. Now what if an Amplitur is able to Suggest whoever answers? You, the President, some colonel, or even a sergeant who hears the message.
"Jack did mention at the meeting with NATO that one Amplitur alone could have Suggested to the entire room in an instant," Storm recalled.
"I remember that. We'll have to add all that to our planning. Thank you for calling and try and stay safe. If we have questions for Jack or Jill we'll call." Dennis hung up on them.
"Jack, any chance of what I just said?" Storm inquired.
"To our knowledge an Amplitur has to be physically present. He cannot send a radio message and suggest anything to you. However they might try talking you into a physical visit in the belief that you don't know about their abilities and then start suggesting," Jack offered instead.
"You're the communications expert, send that message to them and warn them of just that. In fact send that to everyone worldwide if you can. They get a toehold and things could get ugly." Storm didn't want to think of having to attack say half of Africa because they decided to talk.
"Message sent," Jack said. "They are going to want this planet so they will think of something. Hold one moment." Jack was intercepting something. "They are planning another attack on the ships in space using those same missiles."
Kate shared something she remembered. "I read once and this was just an idea. I have no idea if it will work. BUT, say you dig a nice deep hole, place a small nuclear device at the bottom, then fill the hole with water. You cap the hole with a metal dome.
"When you explode the bomb it turns the water into a gas that will expand. This gas will launch the cap out into space to attack a ship. It will be traveling at some insane speed and quite possibly destroy the ship.
"Naturally a ship has to be directly above the hole or you'll miss but the speed it will be traveling means the ship can't avoid it. I don't remember what this idea was called. Naturally it was just a theory and we've never actually done it to my knowledge."
"Jack, send that idea to Madam Secretary. Maybe she can find the people that came up with that idea and maybe it'll work. We have no idea how much damage these missiles are causing," Rick told him.
"It was called 'Luna' for your information. The bomb was placed at the bottom of a hollow column — three feet wide and four hundred eighty-five feet deep — with a four-inch-thick iron cap on top. That was Pascal A. A second test called Pascal B was performed to determine just how fast the metal cap would travel. It traveled at approximately 125,000 miles per hour.
"However you are correct. The hole will need to be directly under an orbiting space ship to hit anything. This information has been sent to Madam Secretary as requested.
"Very ingenious I must say." Jack was impressed. He didn't think they stood a chance of shooting down every ship. But they just might get lucky and hit a ship that had Amplitur in it or perhaps all of them.
