The sun was beaming down on City Hall.Republic City is now full of Equalist airships patrolling the skies and the Aang Memorial Island statue is now wearing Amon's mask while the Equalist banner is hanging from the staff and there are mecha tanks surrounding City Hall as Hiroshi is standing on the front steps talking to a large crowd of non-benders.

"It is a glorious day, my Equalist brothers and sisters! Amon has torn down the tyrannical bending government! He has declared bending illegal and has the Avatar on the run! Our great leader has a vision for the future. One day soon, bending will no longer exist and we will live in a world, where everyone is finally equal! The United Forces are on their way right now to try and stop that dream, but we will prevail!" Hiroshi announced and the non-bender crowd cheers loudly.

At the back of the crowd, 3 chi-blockers nodded to each other and left the square. They entered a park where a large rock was sitting on the ground.One of them bent the rock revealing a hole and they go for the hole before the rock slides back over it.

Then the chi-blockers remove their masks revealing to be Jotaro,Korra,and Mako and they are walking down a dim hallway.

"Can you believe Hiroshi?! 'The Avatar's on the run'. I'm not running from anyone! Let's go back up there and knock some heads; they'll never know what hit 'em." Korra said.

"You know that's just going to make things worse,right?"Jotaro asked.

Mako nodded."Don't worry.General Iroh's coming with an entire fleet of battleships. Soon, it'll be Amon who's running."

"I hate this 'being patient' stuff." Korra said.

"I know you do.But it's the only thing we can do now."Jotaro said.

Meanwhile,Bolin and Asami are sitting on crates and they approached Korra,Jotaro,and Mako as they arrive.

"You 2 were gone awhile." Asami said as she glared at Mako.

"We were doing some recoinnaisance.And Jotaro was there too."Mako said.

"Whatever."Asami said.

On Jotaro and Korra's 1st day n Republic City, they had met a strange hobo in the park who lived in a bush. That same hobo now clapped them on the shoulders.

"Welcome back! Hope you worked up an appetite because dinner is served!"The hobo said.

In a rusty old pot, the hobo stirred a disgusting looking stew and spooned it into several bowls.

"Thanks so much for letting us hide out with you the past few days." Korra said.

"Honored to oblige. My associates and I heartily oppose Amon's so-called 'Equalist' policies. We got benders and non-benders living together down here, but do you see us fightin'? No siree; we've figured out how to harmoniously co-exist."The hobo said.

"You are a wise and noble hobo.

Mm! This is the best-tasting street gruel I've ever had, seriously."Bolin said as he ate the stew.

The hobo grinned. "I culled it from the finest dumpsters the city has to offer."

After hearing that,both Jotaro and Asami choked and spit out their food.They put their bowls down behind them for Pabu to eat.

That night,Korra is sitting next to Naga and Mako comes walking to her.

"Can't sleep either?" Mako asked.

"No, I have an awful pit in my stomach." Korra said.

"Me too."Mako said as he sat down next to Korra.

"It's crazy.A few months ago,I was in the South Pole practicing for my Firebending test.Then I found Jotaro and you guys.And now I'm in the middle of an all-out war."Korra said.

"I know. We didn't even know each other back then. But now, I can't imagine what my life would be like without you in it.You're the most loyal, brave and selfless person I've ever known."Mako said.

"I think you're pretty incredible too, but you already knew that."Korra said and the 2 looked at each other but Korra looks away abruptly.

"I should probably try to get some sleep."Korra said.

Mako nodded."Me too.Good night."

"Good night."Korra said as she used Naga as her pillow.

Jotaro was still awake,staring up through a slit in the roof at the distant stars. Asami was lying beside him and noticed his eyes open.

"Hey,you awake,Jotaro?"Asami asked.

"Why?What's wrong?Can't sleep?"Jotaro asked.

Asami nodded."Yeah.I'm starting to have nightmares."

"What were they about?"Jotaro asked.

Asami sighed."They're about my father.I'm not sure if I'll be able to face him again.What if I'm not that strong enough to face him?What if I'm a coward?Or what if-"

Jotaro took her hand."Asami.Stop thinking about things like that.Look,none of us will let anything happen to you.I won't let anything happen to you and I promise that.I can't afford to lose another friend.Asami,you're not a coward and you are strong enough to face him.Nothing good will happen if you just feed yourself with negative thoughts.If you do confront your father,just remember that our parents do not define our lives but we do.Sometimes,we leave our parents and go out to live our own lives.But that's not always true.I had to leave my mother so I can cure her of her sickness and it took me,my grandfather and my friends 50 days to find the cure.No matter how hard your father tries to sway you to his side,remember that everyone has the chance to decide their own fate.Defeat your father and live your life as you see fit.That's all I can tell you."

Asami looked at Jotaro's eyes and suddenly hugged him and smiled.

"Thank you,Jotaro.You really helped me by saying that."Asami said.

"Um...no problem."Jotaro said.

Asami let him go and the 2 of them sat up,leaning against a wall,looking at each other.

"You know,you may be a delinquent on the outside but on the inside,you have a gentle heart and you care about others."Asami said as she blushed."And...I like you for that."

Jotaro was touched but remained nonchalant.Then he yawned."You should get some sleep.You might need it."

Asami chuckled."All right.Good night,Jotaro."

"You too,Asami."

Meanwhile at Air Temple Island,Amon and his chi-blockers stood on a platform as the Lieutenant drags a blindfolded man who is forced to his knees and they remove his blindfold.

"You will be cleansed of your impurity."Amon said as he takes the man's bending away."Next."

The next morning,the gang are still hiding and they are in the drainage pipe and Mako takes a look outside.

"Coast is clear."Mako said.

The 5 of them ran up a staircase and onto a small landing jutting out across the water. Bolin held a telescope and looked out over the sea. But the mist was too thick to see anything.

"Once the United Forces arrive, we need to be ready to help in any way we can." Korra said.

Jotaro pointed."I think that's them."

Bolin focused the telescope and saw the lead ship snaking its way through the mist. Soon enough, the whole fleet came into view.

"Hmm...Amon had to know we were coming. So, why aren't we meeting any resistance?" Iroh asked.

Korra looked around."Wait a second. Where are the Equalist airships?"

Mako grabbed the telescope from his brother and looked at the shoreline.

"I don't see any mecha-tanks either."Mako said.

"Something's not right here."Jotaro said as he activates Star Platinum so he can look closely.Then he was shocked on what he'd seen.

There were a bunch of underwater mines floating up beneath one of the ships.A ship hits one of the mines and explodes.More of the mines appeared around the boats.

"There are mines underwater!"Jotaro yelled. Korra dove into the sea and began swimming frantically to help the ships.

Meanwhile,Iroh grabbed a microphone.

"Water and earthbenders, detonate those mines!"Iroh ordered but then he hears a strange whirring noises in the air.Iroh ran out onto the deck to see what it was. He gasped.

Mako gripped the telescope."What now?"

Behind the skyscrapers,a group of flying objects in the mist shot through the air,powered by propellers.

"You've got to be kidding me."Jotaro said.

"Where does Hiroshi find the time to keep inventing new evil machines?"Bolin asked.

Several planes fired torpedoes that decimated the ship's hulls. Iroh and the other firebenders kept shooting from cannons and managed to take down a few planes but they would soon be overrun.

The fleet was now a flaming mess, with many ships in the process of sinking. Korra reached the carnage. She rose up from the sea on a massive cyclone of water. The planes focused their attacks on her and she was soon sent back into the waves.

Iroh dashed up to the crow's nest on his ship, and began blasting planes out of the air. Three veered off to face him and he took down two. The third shot a torpedo straight at his face.

Iroh leapt off the crow's nest just in time but was caught in the explosion and sent flying into the water. Korra saw this and grabbed him, bringing him to the surface.

"It's all right. I've got you."Korra said.

"Avatar Korra?You saved my life.Thank you."Iroh said.

She smiled and began to swim them back to shore.

Later they return to the hideout and Korra starts healing Iroh's wound with Waterbending.

"I was prepared to deal with Sato's mecha tanks, but not those new high-speed aircrafts." Iroh said.

"I know. Every time we think we have an advantage, Amon outsmarts us." Korra said.

"No matter what out plan is, he always has a better one." Bolin said.

"Amon is winning so far, but we're not out of the fight just yet." Iroh said.

"I like this man's confidence.So how are we not out of the fight?"Bolin asked.

"A second wave of reinforcements is on the way. I need to warn them. Do you still have a way to get a message out?"Iroh asked.

Korra nodded. "I know just the man for the job."

Later,the hobo is setting up a telegraph machine while Iroh and Team Avatar stand behind him.

"And who is the recipient of this top-secret message?" The hobo asked.

"Commander Bumi,2nd division of the United Forces." Iroh replied.

"Tenzin's older brother?"Korra asked.

"He has a brother?"Jotaro asked.

"Yeah, but I don't think he liked to mention that." Korra said.

"Yes. A bit of a wild man, but the bravest commander you'll ever meet."Iroh said.

"I'm ready, sir." The hobo said.

"Fleet ambushed and destroyed by Equalist aircraft. Retreat to Red Sand Island until my signal. Do not approach city until you receive the all-clear."Iroh said and the hobo finishes the telegraph.

"Now comes the hard part. We need to ground those aircrafts. Otherwise, Bumi's fleet would never be able to retake the city." Iroh said as he laid out a map of Republic City.

Mako studied the map and pointed to the north. "They flew in from this direction. The airfield must be somewhere over this mountain range."

"Everyone get ready.We leave at dawn."Iroh said.

"It's time I take down my father."Asami said.

"Wait, I'm sorry, but I'm not going with you tomorrow." Korra said.

"Why not?"Jotaro asked.

"I'm sick and tired of hiding from Amon. It's time I face him." Korra said.

"You can't do this alone,Korra."Jotaro said.

"He's right.This is a mission you can't do alone."Iroh said.

"She won't be.I'm going with her."Mako said.

Jotaro sighed."Well in that case,I'll go too."

"What?!"Korra and Mako said in unison.

"I need to stop Amon too.I can't let him take your bending and Mako's bending."Jotaro said.

"You don't have to that,Jotaro."Korra said.

"Yes,I do."Jotaro replied.

"Hmm. My grandfather, Zuko would respect the Avatar's instinct. So will I."Iroh said.

Later at night,Jotaro was still awake.Then he heard footsteps.He looked around and saw Asami.

"Asami?You're still awake?"Jotaro said.

"Yeah.I'm sorry if I startled you.I just can't sleep well."Asami said."Can I...sleep next to you?"

Jotaro was surprised when Asami said that."Fine.Just don't get too close."

"Thanks."Asami said as she laid down 1 meter away from Jotaro."Good night."

"Good night."Jotaro replied.

It's now daytime and Jotaro and Asami wakes up to see they are cuddling each other and they pulled away.

"Kyaaaaaaaaa!!!!S-Sorry,J-Jotaro!I didn't mean to!"Asami said frantically.

"Um...I...argh.Let's just get up already."Jotaro said as he gets up and Asami covers her face with her hands in shame.

I think I got too close."Asami thought.

Later,Korra,Jotaro,and Mako are wearing their Equalist outfits.

"Love you,little bro."Mako said as he hugs Bolin.

"Love you back,big bro."Bolin replied as he hugs his brother then goes for Korra and Jotaro.

"Korra,Amon is a nasty dude.Be careful."Bolin said.

"I will."Korra said as she and Bolin hug.

"Good luck,Jotaro.Get that Amon a thing or 2 for me."Bolin said and Jotaro nodded in reply.

"Also,if you're going to the mountains,you should take Naga."Korra said.

Then Korra hugs her pet."Take good care of Bolin for me." Naga growled softly and licked Bolin from head to toe.

Mako walked sadly to Asami. "Asami. I'm sorry things got so messed up between us. But whatever happens today, I want you to know how much I care for you."

"I care about you,too."Asami said as she kisses Mako on the cheek then she goes for Jotaro.

"Stay e back in 1 piece."Asami said.

"I will.Stay safe,too."Jotaro said and he and Asami hug each other before she joins Bolin and Iroh.

"Good fortune and success to you, valiant heroes!"The hobo said.

Korra,Jotaro,and Mako are walking into the sea and Korra made a bubble of air around them as they headed to the Air Temple Island.When they arrived,they put their masks on and crept up the mountainside and they find an Equalist airship where they glimpsed Amon boarding it.

"There he is."Jotaro said.

"We need to get into the Temple. Then when he returns-"Mako was cut off.

"We ambush him."Korra said.

The 3 make their way for the temple until they heard the Lieutenant's voice.

"Hey! What are you 3 doing here?" The Lieutenant asked.

"Uh, we were just transferred."Mako replied.

"Well, you're getting transferred again. Amon wants extra security at the arena today."The Lieutenant said.

"For what?"Jotaro asked.

"The rally.You should have been briefed about this."The Lieutenant replied.

"We'll be there,sir."Korra said and the Lieutenant leaves.

"We have to find another way in."Jotaro said.

"Don't worry.I know where that 'other way' is."Korra said.

They later arrive at the next part of the temple and Korra opens a wooden panel on a wall and climb in.

"Let's hide in the attic."Korra said and the 3 of them climbed up.Mako went up first and he looks around the room.

"Uh,we're not alone up here."Mako said and they see Tarrlok behind bars.

"Tarrlok?"Korra asked as they take off their masks.

"I don't suppose you're here to rescue me?"Tarrlok said.

"We had no idea you were here. Are there any other prisoners on the Island?"Korra asked.

"No. I'm the only one. At least as far as I know."Tarrlok answered.

"And what makes you so special?"Korra asked.

"I'm Amon's brother."Tarrlok answered,shocking the 3.

"Does that mean he's a bender?"Jotaro asked.

Tarrlok nodded."Amon is from the Northern Water Tribe. He's a Waterbender and a Bloodbender like me."

It's just as I suspected.*Jotaro thought.

"Did you know this all along?" Mako asked.

"No. Not until after he captured me."Tarrlok said.

"How did your brother end up becoming Amon?"Korra asked.

"It all began with my father, Yakone. With the help of his former gang, he escaped prison and underwent surgery to change his appearance. He assumed a new identity and settled down in the Northern Water Tribe.That's where he met my mother- a warm, caring woman. Before long, they started a family together. Amon was the firstborn, under the name Noatak. I was born 3 years later.Noatak was a good-natured kid. He was always looking out for me. Those were the good years, before my brother and I discovered we were Waterbenders.At first we were excited about our new abilities, but our training brought out a different side to our father."Tarrlok said and a flashback is shown.

"Tarrlok!You'd better shape up or you'll be out here in the cold all night until you get it right."Yakone yelled.

"I'm trying,but-"Tarrlok was cut off.

"Try harder!Your brother was never this sloppy."Yakone said,making Tarrlok cry.

"Dad,he'll get it.He just needs time."Noatak said.

"Don't talk back to me,son,ever!"Yakone yelled.

Tarrlok continued. "Even back then, my brother wanted everyone to be treated fairly and equally. When I was seven, my father took me and Noatak on a hunting trip, far away from our home. He told us his true identity was Yakone: Republic City's most notorious crime boss and that he was once a bloodbender of rare skill."

"What's Bloodbending?"Young Tarrlok asked.

"The most powerful and feared form of bending in the world.It was declared illegal,thanks to that coward,Katara.Our family has the strongest line of Bloodbenders in history.You boys have this power inside you.And I will teach you to master it."Yakone said.

"What happened to your bending,Dad?"Noatak asked.

"The Avatar stole it from me.That's why I brought you out here,to learn your destiny.You 2 will become Bloodbenders of the highest order.When the time is right,you will claim Republic City and you will destroy the Avatar!You must avenge me.That is your purpose in life."Yakone replied.

"The good days were behind us. Every full moon, our father took us on another supposed 'hunting trip', where he secretly trained us in Bloodbending. We kept the truth from my mother." Tarrlok said.

Yakone,Tarrlok and Noatak are hiding from a herd of yaks.Yakone nods at Noatak and starts Bloodbending at one of the yaks,making the yak scream in pain.

"Stop,you're hurting it."Young Tarrlok cried.

"Toughen up,Tarrlok.You'll need a thicker skin for this."Yakone said.

Noatak lets the yak go and it ran off.

"Very good son.Very good."Yakone said as he puts his hand on Noatak's shoulder.

"A few years later, my father taught us to bloodbend anytime without the need of the full moon. We practiced constantly and I hated every minute of it."Tarrlok said.

The other day,Yakone makes Tarrlok Bloodbend a pack of wolves,making the wolves whimper with pain.Tarrlok lets them go and they all ran away.

"I had no stomach for manipulating helpless animals. My brother however, seemed to revel in his newfound power."

It was Noatak's turn to Bloodbend.He Bloodbends the wolves but this time,he wasn't lifting his arms.

"He was a prodigy, mastering my father's physic bloodbending technique by the time he was 14."

Noatak lifts the wolves in unison and sets them down and makes them bow to him.

"That's the way it's done.That's what you need to strive for."Yakone said.

"Even though Noatak was my father's favourite, it wasn't any easier for him. He carried the burden of all Yakone's expectations and demands. Something changed in Noatak over the years. The loving brother I once knew became cold and detached. Our father pushed us to extremes and 1 day, he made us bloodbend each other."

"Noatak,go."Yakone said and Noatak Bloodbends his brother who forced to his knees,screaming in pain.

Yakone smiled."Excellent.Tarrlok,your turn."

Young Tarrlok shook his head."No,I won't do it!"

"Bloodbend your brother,Tarrlok!"Yakone ordered.

"That felt awful.I don't want to do that to anyone.I never want to Bloodbend again."Young Tarrlok said.

"You're a disgrace.A weakling!I'll teach you a lesson you insubordinate little-"Yakone was cut off as Noatak Bloodbends him.

"Stay away from him."Noatak said.

"How dare you Bloodbend me!"Yakone yelled.

"What are you gonna do about it?You're the weak one.You always said that Bloodbending is the most powerful thing in the world,but it isn't.The Avatar is.He took your bending away.What could be more powerful than that?"Noatak said.

"I made what you are.You belong to me!You are mine!"Yakone said.

"We're your sons,not your tools of revenge."Noatak said as he turns to his little brother."Let's go.We can run away from him forever."

"Run away?But what about mom?We can't just leave her ."Young Tarrlok said.

"He was right about you.You are a weakling."Noatak said as he flung his father into a snowdrift and ran off.

"Noatak!Don't leave me,please!Noatak!"Young Tarrlok said but Noatak kept on running.

"My father and I searched for days. But we never found a sign of Noatak. We thought he perished in a storm. My mother was never the same after the loss of my brother. My father stopped training me. With Noatak gone, his hopes for revenge withered, and he passed away a few years later."Tarrlok said.

"That's one of the saddest stories I've ever heard." Korra said.

"Avatar Korra, I am truly sorry for all that I did to you. I thought I was better than my father, but his ghost still shaped me. I became a soldier of revenge, just like he wanted me to be. And so did my brother. The revolution may be built on a lie, but I think Amon truly believes bending is the source of all evil in the world."Tarrlok said.

"How did you figure out Amon was your brother?" Mako asked.

"When he took my bending, the sensation was somehow familiar. I later recognized it as my brother's bloodbending grip."Tarrlok answered.

"So he somehow uses bloodbending to take people's bending?"Korra said.

"Yes.Bloodbending can take away a person's bending but it requires direct physical contact between the user's hand and the victim's forehead.It's just like Energybending except it's a little brutal."Jotaro said.

"How do you know about this stuff?"Mako asked.

"I read about in a book once."Jotaro answered.

"So,how can we defeat him?"Korra asked.

"We can't.Any attack we throw at him, he'll redirect with his mind.Unless..."Mako said as he was thinking of something.

"That's it!Jotaro um...what was that thing you called again?"Mako asked.

"It's a Stand."Jotaro said.

"That's right!Use your Stand against him Jotaro!He won't even see it,right?"Mako said.

"Yeah.But did you forget that they're having a rally right now?"Jotaro said.

"Oh,right."Mako said.

"Oh,I know!"Korra said.

"What is it?"Mako asked.

"This whole time, Amon has been one step ahead of us. But finally we have the advantage- we know the truth about him. If we expose him as a bender in front of all his supporters..."Korra said.

"Hang on.Are you saying that we're going to expose him?"Jotaro asked.

"Exactly!We could take Amon's true power!"Korra said.

"And undermine this whole revolution."Mako added.

"I don't know.Exposing him won't be an easy thing to do."Jotaro said.

"I'm sure it will."Korra said and she looks at Tarrlok.

"Thank you for your help."Korra said and Tarrlok nods in reply.

Mako turns away but Korra stops him."We can't just leave him here."

"Go. Amon can't know anyone spoke with me. Defeat him. Put an end to this sad story."Tarrlok said as he puts his hand on one of the bars.

Korra,Jotaro,and Mako nodded then went back down the ladder.
