Amelia woke up in her bed and looked around. She looked at her phone and noticed she was in the present day. She jumped out of bed, booked a flight home, and packed up. Eden picked her sister up at the airport and took her home. Amelia walked in alone and into the living room. The family pictures were still up.

"Eden, when did you..." Carl walked in and saw his estranged daughter. "Amelia?"

"Hi, dad," she said nervously.

"What are you? When did you?"

"I decided I was overdue to come home. I had Eden pick me up at the airport."

Carl walked up and hugged his daughter. "You have no idea how much we've missed you."

"I've missed you too."

"Wait here and I'll get your mother."

Amelia sat on the couch. She heard her mother talking to her father, "why can't you just tell me who is here?"

"It's a surprise."

"Maybe I want to look better."

"Just go into the living room."

"You're not coming?"

"No, I had my turn."

"Your turn? And since when do you let me go places on my own?"

"Regina, just go."

Amelia smiled listening to her parents. She saw her mother walk into the room. Regina saw her daughter and stopped. "Hi, mom," Amelia smiled at her mother. Regina placed a hand on the doorway to brace herself. Amelia became worried and rushed to her mother. "Here, let me help you." When Amelia put her arm around her mother's waist, Regina pulled her in for a hug before breaking down. "Oh, mom," Amelia rubbed her mother's back, "I'm so sorry."

"I can't believe you're here."

"Why don't we sit on the couch and catch up?" Amelia helped her mother to the couch.

"You're so grown up."

"I really am sorry."

"Why?"

"I'm sorry about everything that happened before I left. I'm sorry for leaving, for not calling or visiting, for not inviting you to either graduation, and for cutting you out of my life."

"I'm just glad you're here. I have a bit of a confession to make. We went to your high school graduation."

"What?"

"We found out when it was and decided to sneak in and out without you seeing us. We figured if you had wanted us there then you would have told us. We couldn't miss it."

"I'm glad you were able to go."

"What did you go to college for?"

"I went for nursing. I might go to medical school here."

"How on Earth did you decide on that?"

"I wanted to do something for once that was beneficial to others."

"That's really wonderful."

"I have a surprise for you and dad, but I want to show you first." Amelia walked to the front door and opened it. Regina saw her take something into her arms. When the young woman walked back, she had a little girl in her arms. "This is Jeannie Rose, my daughter. I named her after you." Amelia watched as her mother was speechless, "you're mad, aren't you?"

"I don't know what I am. How old is she?"

"She just turned two." Amelia placed her daughter on the floor and crouched next to her, "Jeannie, can you go say 'hi' to grandma?"

The little girl looked from her mother to her grandmother and back. Jeannie walked over to the couch and put her arms up. Regina picked her granddaughter up and sat her on the couch. The little girl stood on the couch and hugged her grandma. Regina nearly cried, "you are so sweet and so beautiful." The little girl sat next to her grandmother and nestled into her side.

Carl walked in and saw the little girl, "where did she come from? How long was I gone?"

Amelia stood and faced her father, "she's my daughter. Her name is Jeannie Rose." Carl smiled and hugged his daughter, "you're not mad?"

"I'm shocked, but not mad. Although, I never ungrounded you."

Amelia smiled and turned at her daughter's voice, "mama."

"What is it, baby?"

"Juice, pweeze."

"Dad, do you guys have juice?"

"Yeah," Amelia grabbed her daughter's sippy cup before going to the kitchen and bringing her juice. When Amelia and Carl walked out of the room, Jeannie got down and sat on the floor. Regina looked at her, confused. Amelia came back and saw her daughter had moved, "Hey, why'd you move, princess?"

Jeannie just shrugged and Amelia handed the girl her juice.

Jeannie stayed close to her mother the entire day. She didn't look at or say anything to Regina. She was engaged with Carl and her Aunt Eden. The little girl was playing upstairs with her aunt and Amelia went to sit with her mother. She found her mother standing by the window, staring out. "You okay, mom?"

"Yeah," Regina said without turning.

Amelia noticed her mother's cane was still by the couch. She walked over and placed a comforting hand on her mother's back, "what's wrong?"

"Nothing," Regina said, "I'm just overwhelmed with everything." Regina smiled and looked at her daughter.

"Mom, I can see the hurt on your face. You can tell me what's bothering you. I'm not the same bitchy teenager I was six years ago."

Regina took a deep breath, "I don't think Jeannie likes me."

"She just doesn't know you. She hugged you and snuggled next to you earlier."

"You probably told her to do that."

"I never told her to snuggle."

"She's just warmed up to your father and sister so well."

"Mom, Eden has visited me over the past two years."

"I didn't think of that. How did you graduate college while taking care of a baby?"

"I just did."

"Really? That's your answer."

"I didn't say it was easy, but I just did what I had to for us."

"I'm very proud of you."

"Thanks, mom, but I withheld something from you. I'm still with Jeannie's father and I'm pregnant again."

"Is he here too?"

"No, he's back in England. He's from the states too and that's how we connected. It was nice having someone from your own country there."

"I hope the next time you visit he comes along and congratulations on the baby."

"There won't be a next time."

"What?" Regina began to panic.

"We're moving here."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, I'm tired of being away from my family."

"That's the best news I've heard today?" Regina hugged her daughter.

"He's packing up and having everything sent here. He'll be here for Christmas." Regina closed her eyes and sighed. Amelia grabbed her mother, "you should sit." Amelia helped her mother over to the couch. "Have you had any physical therapy?"

"No, why?"

"You're going to." Amelia saw her mother smile at her. "You need to live, mom. You can't just survive. You have to live."
