Kuina has invited Sina to spend the afternoon together with them, and of course, she gladly accepted her offer. It still surprises her though while she's on her way to Chishiya's room. Sina knows that both her and Chishiya will have to play another game tonight to extend their visa, thus some distraction is exactly what she needs right now. And yet she wonders if it has been entirely Kuina's idea or if Chishiya wanted this too.

As she knocks on the door (It's not locked of course, but she can't be reckless all the time), Kuina's voice tells her to enter. Sina really has taken Kuina to her heart even though their first conversation has only been two days ago, and it seems that it's the same for Kuina too.

After Chishiya had left for the executives meeting, Kuina had come back to the roof to spend some more time with Sina. Talking to her is always so much different compared to Chishiya. Kuina had already told her so many things about her past before she even asked about it, and Sina was honored that Kuina had so much trust in her.

During this conversation, she had learned about Kuina's mother lying in a coma and that Kuina felt responsible for her well-being. That was the reason she wanted to return so badly, and in that moment, Sina suddenly wanted Kuina to be number 7 instead of Chishiya. Kuina probably deserved to leave the Borderlands more than anyone else.

Sina opens the door and steps inside the hotel room. It's the first time she is inside of Chishiya's room, and while she hadn't really expected anything, what she sees suits him perfectly.

The room is mostly tidy, as there's not much personal stuff lying around except some clothes. Sina can see a handful of white hoodies, some shorts and proper footgear for the games outside of the Beach.

The bed isn't made, and for a second she wishes that she could sleep in there too, next to Chishiya. It feels nice to imagine the warmth of his body next to her and how it would be to wake up in his arms, even though it's nothing more but a dream.

Chishiya and Kuina sit on the bed sheets, both holding some cards in their hands. There is a certain irony in the fact that they're playing cards while being in a game where collecting all cards seems to be the main goal, and Sina grins at the sight as she closes the door.

"Hi! I'm glad you came." Kuina greets her with a wide smile, and even Chishiya rewards her with a smirk. The tall woman pats on the blanket, signing Sina to sit down next to her, but she wants to take another moment to examine the room.

"What's that?" She asks with a nod towards the desk. While the rest of the room is tidied up, the desk is full of tools and most random things. Sina can see Duct Tape, other types of glue, screwdrivers and lots of cables. Some of them look like technical devices, other look dangerous, some just look silly.

"Since Aguni and his men are in charge of all the weapons on the Beach, Chishiya likes to build his own ones to be prepared for anything. But don't tell Niragi", Kuina explains with a wink while Chishiya only rolls his eyes about her.

Sina picks up a water pistol and pretends to shoot at him even though it's empty. "So you want to splash water at your enemies during the game tonight?"

Chishiya chuckles, leading his last card and achieving victory while Kuina throws up her arms in frustration. "Don't underestimate child's toys. They can be quite useful if you do it right."

Sina lays down the pistol and pick up something else. She has no clue what it is, but there are lots of cables and a button on it, and it looks like a self-made switch or something.

"This looks weird", she murmusr as she examines the other sides of the gadget. Her thumb moves over the button and the curiosity inside of her makes her push it, though she already regrets it in the same moment.

A static noise sounds and a metal plate on the gadget releases an electric shock right through Sina's body. It causes her to stumble backwards and land right on her bottom, and she shakes her head in surprise. The gadget, which obviously turns out to be a taser, drops to the floor while her whole body still tingles from the shock.

She turns around only to see Kuina who barely manages to hold back a laugh, and Chishiya, who's not even trying to conceal his grin.

"Couldn't you have told me what that is before?" Sina pants, smoothing down her staticky hair.

"I honestly thought you were smart enough to not press any random buttons."

She rolls her eyes and gets up, placing the taser on its allocated space again, but this time without pressing the button. Kuina makes place for her so Sina can sit down next to Kuina while Chishiya reshuffles the cards.

"I'm sorry! But you should have seen your face", Kuina giggles as she takes her cards and Sina sighs, but she can't deny that it also makes her grin.

"You were lucky that the taser wasn't fully charged though", Chishiya adds while examining his cards, and Sina can't help but wonder how he is smart enough to build such things out of scratch.

They both quickly explain the rules of the game to her, and Sina plays several rounds while the sun outside the window slowly disappears behind the skyline of Tokyo. The view is pretty nice since Chishiya'a room is on the top floor, and her eyes wander out there many times.

Chishiya wins every round of course, and it seems like Kuina and Sina are taking turns with who is out first. But she doesn't care much about the game, it's more the company of those two that she enjoys. With Kuina right next to her, there's not really an opportunity for any tender moments between Chishiya and Sina, but she occasionally touches his hand or knee, and sometimes he even lifts his head to look at her when she does.

Kuina tells her how she used to play this game with her mother before she got sick, and the thought of it seems to make her a bit sad. "I'd always win against her, because she would use the same strategy over and over again. She was probably too stubborn to change it even though she knew that she would lose."

Sina can tell that Kuina misses her mother, and while she doesn't know much about the family connections, it is obvious that her mother is the most important human to her.

"Your mother is really lucky to have a daughter like you", Sina says with a smile. Kuina's eyes widen at her words, and her clasp around the cards tightens.

"Thank you." She whispers, placing down a card and throwing Sina of the game. "You know, I wanted her to braid my hair when I was a child ever so often, like mother and daughter should do. But my father forced me to keep it short, because he always wanted me to behave like the son he had wished for."

That sounds pretty bad, and Sina puts her hand on Kuina's shoulder to comfort her the same way she had done back at the pools. "I'm sure you'll be able to catch up on that when you return. But for now…"

Her eyes wander to Chishiya, who has listened to your conversation without saying a word for a while now, and she grins at the shoulder-length blonde hair. "I wonder how Chishiya will look with braids in his hair!"

Kuina seems to be excited about this idea too, eagerly staring at Chishiya, who only raises his brows at Sina. "Don't do it." He says, but the image in her head looks so adorable that she can't help but raise her hand to touch his soft hair.

Chishiya lifts his own hand faster than Sina can react and grabs her wrist, stopping it right before his face. "Don't."

He has this cold and dangerous look again, telling Sina that she's definitely crossing a line right now, and even though his tight grip hurts a bit, she chuckles. "Okay, okay, fine. I won't do it."

While Kuina exhales a disappointed sigh, Chishiya collects the cards to shuffle them again. But just as he wants to give them out, a loud noise sounds through the hotel. Sina has heard it before and it causes a shudder to roll over her back.

"It's time." Chishiya states while getting up, and Kuina stops Sina with a hug before she can do the same.

"Make sure you'll both come back!" She pleads, and Sina envies her for still having some days left before she has to expand her visa again.

Sina squeezes her tight and nods. "Let's just hope it's not a hearts game!"

As Chishiya and Sina make their way to the main hall, neither of them says a word. She walks so close to him that her shoulder touches his arm now and then, and he doesn't move aside. It's the comfort Sina needs while her heart beats like crazy, the way it always does when she is about to take part in another game.

She takes the paper allocating her to a certain car, and she almost snuggles into his hoodie as she tries to see what is written on Chishiya's note. It is the same number, again.

"Weird, isn't it? The third game we're playing together." While the chance for this to happen is pretty low, Sina is somehow happy about it.

Chishiya gives her a smirk, bumping her shoulder while tucking the piece of paper into the pockets of his hoodie.

"Yeah. What a concidence."
