Chapter 15 – No Use Crying Over Spilt Tea.
"Brooklyn..."
With the pleasure dripping his voice right in to his ear like nectar, Brooklyn's hips thrust with yet more passion.
His hands squeezed the pale thighs splayed in front of him while sweat rolled down to the base of his hardworking back.
His eyes drank him in, adding every image, smell and texture to the mental gallery he had been accumulating.
How he loved seeing his skin flush like that...
The clamminess to his complexion.
The twists and tensing of his face muscles.
Not to mention the sounds he made...
From the very first touch with his hand to now, the highest level of intimacy, Brooklyn lived to be between Kai's thighs one way or another.
With the eyes below him rolling back to a close and the muscles around him tightening, he knew he was going to be graced with another one of those sounds that would send him over the edge within seconds.
"B-Brooklyn!"
And he was right.
He filled him entirely as his own climax hit him like a train the second Kai's moan made it to his ears and collapsed down beside him moments after.
A serene smile sat on Kai's face as he cuddled up to him, a long hum sitting in his throat showing his satisfaction as one arm rested over Brooklyn's chest as he slowly floated back down to earth after his pleasure rush.
Brooklyn's fingertips brushed over Kai's shoulder.
"Can say that again..." he panted back, chest heaving.
A small chuckle escaped him as he laid there for a few minutes enjoying the silence between them. The first time they did this only seeming like yesterday but a handful of months had passed them by now.
Once their breaths had settled Kai placed a kiss down on where his head had just been near his shoulder and started to ease himself up and off the bed.
Brooklyn pouted.
"The hell are you going?"
Kai stretched out his arms as he sat on the edge of the mattress before looking back over his shoulder to him.
"I told you, I've got that stuff from school I need to look over."
Hands hooked under his armpits, dragging him back down.
"I'm afraid that will have to wait. I have some urgent things to look over myself..."
A slate brow rose though a smirk appeared as he let Brooklyn set him back down onto the sheets.
"Oh? And what might they be?"
He was answered with lips kissing their way down his chest.
"Something of the utmost beauty and importance..." he drawled as his head travelled lower.
Kai's eyes watched him wander back down his body before looking over the red mop to his desk and the books that had remained untouched and seemed they would be for another evening.
Relaxing into the sheets he was brought back to mischievous eyes as he was softly gripped again.
Tomorrow... Tomorrow for sure...
x-x-x
Internal cursing continued to swirl within his head and not due to being overwhelmed with pleasure.
How could he have been so stupid to think that the deadline was next week when it was this one?!
FUUUUCKK!
Slowing his racing feet as he neared the front door, Kai shoved it open in a pant and kicked off his shoes, head already in his school bag fishing out the book he needed.
At the sound of the front door opening, the kitchen one followed.
"Heeeey! Welcome home!"
Pulling out a book Kai dropped the rest of his bag wherever it fell, sent Brooklyn a quick "hey," and head straight for his bedroom.
Brooklyn was left blinking, looking from the back of Kai's head to the bag abandoned on the floor.
He eventually went and picked it up, hanging it up for him before following.
"Everything okay?" He enquired as he poked his messy head through the door.
Kai was already sat at his desk. Book out open and pen in hand hovering over a blank sheet of lined paper.
"Hn. Fine. Why, what's up?" he answered almost robotically, saving him a glance as he flicked the pages back and forth in the text book.
Brooklyn was left blinking again.
This wasn't how it usually went.
Did he do something?
...
"Did I do something?"
Kai had started to scribble something down when he frowned a little though kept his eyes on his work.
"No? Why?"
"Thennnn what's all this?" He asked back, confused frown in place.
"What's all what?" Kai sent back, his own frown slowly becoming laced with annoyance.
Brooklyn huffed.
"Oh, stop it! This! Since when do you come home, drop your shit on the floor and bolt for your room? Did something happen?"
Kai abruptly set his pen down. It wasn't Brooklyn's fault he was falling behind but it was his fault now that he was stopping him catching up with his hundred and one questions!
"No! Nothing happened, and that's part of the problem. I need this nothing turned into a something by Friday so if you can just leave me to do it? Please?"
Brooklyn frowned harder.
"Then why not just say that instead of skulking off and cold shouldering me!? But sure, whatever, I'll just go back to playing housewife. Dinner will be ready in half an hour if you're not too busy..." he spat as he turned himself to leave him to it.
"I said hi!" Kai shouted in his defense before the door slammed shut.
With a scoff he picked his pen back up and went back to writing.
He did say hi didn't he? Pfft.
So dramatic.
Last thing he needed was Brooklyn starting with him so if he was going to be a big baby he could just go home.
Twenty minutes later, Brooklyn slammed the dishcloth on the counter.
Oh sure, hi, he'd said.
How kind of his majesty to grace him with such bounty.
Should be fuckin grateful.
Wasn't like he didn't worship him enough.
Well fine. If he was going to be that way, then fine.
If he wanted cold chicken parmesan, then so be it.
He said thirty minutes...
Kai however wasn't focused on the clock at all, hand writing a mile a minute as his eyes darted from text book to paper, text book to paper.
Oooh there was that good quote on page 23 was it? Or 25? Fuuuuuck where was it?!
Ah! 47. Of course.
Forty minutes later, Brooklyn finally took his eyes off the clock.
He couldn't let the love of his life starve...no matter how much of a fuckin princess he was.
He shuffled his way back to the bedroom door and debated whether he should knock nicely or maintain his displeased composure.
On the one hand, puppy love.
On the other, he was an asshole.
He shoved the door open.
"You not even gonna eat tonight then?"
Kai turned from his work to look over at him like a deer in headlights.
Had it been half an hour?
"Yeah? Dinner's ready?"
Brooklyn made a face.
"Dinner is served, m'Lord..." he mimicked in a silly accent as he bowed like the butler he was.
Kai sent him his own look.
"Don't be like that. This shit's important, okay?" he sighed out before turning back to it, elbows on his desk as he massaged his temples.
"I've got my exams coming up and this essay needs handing in prior or I can't sit any of them."
Brooklyn's face softened.
"So why didn't you just tell me?" He asked as he stepped up to him and rubbed his shoulders.
"I'm not a mind reader. I don't know what's going on if you don't tell me."
Kai sank back into his seat. The touch on his shoulders welcomed since they'd been tensed up by his ears since he got home.
"I know, I needed to just get on with it though. I've been meaning to make a start for days now.. I hate playing catch up..."
Brooklyn pressed his fingers in harder.
"Take a breath. You'll get it done and you'll ace it. You want me to bring your food here?"
"Yeah, if you wouldn't mind..." Kai's voice trailed off as ripples of pleasure soared along his upper back.
Oh whyyyy did he have work to do?
"Sure."
With a kiss on the top of his head, Brooklyn skipped off, previous mood erased.
He had a soulmate to feed and comfort!
Kai pouted to himself as the pressure being applied to his shoulders abruptly ceased.
That had been nice...
But it was out of sight out of mind as once the other had left he was thrown back into his essay going straight back to what he'd been writing before the interruption. Focus entirely on the paper and wondering how the hell he was ever going to finish this in time.
If he didn't though, there was no exams, no exams meant no grades which meant no university, which meant no job and-
It just didn't bear thinking about. He had to finish this.
A few minutes later, Brooklyn came skipping back with his usual smile and gorgeous smelling meal on a tray, setting it down and having a nose in his paper.
"Here you go. Gotta eat..."
His eyes scanned some more.
"So. What's this?" He asked.
"Business studies." Was the automatic reply, the plate being slowly pushed off the book it'd been set down on so he could pick it up and flick through the pages.
"Oooh..." Brooklyn nodded. Staying where he was.
"Looks complicated."
"Mhmm... needs a lot of concentration..." Kai mumbled, head down in the book on his lap whilst he wrote. "Thanks for food by the way."
"Oh you're welcome! Saw some video pop up online for it. Thought I'd try it..." he hovered before taking the hint.
"I'll uh...leave you to it..."
Brooklyn didn't get a response to that as Kai was long gone again. Back in the world of expenses, profit margins and cash flow statements.
Mm something smelled nice... oh yeah the food... get to that in a second.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn was in his own little world of simple bliss.
A new recipe triumphed. Another day survived.
Poor Kai had to endure all that frivolous academic stuff, for what point he didn't know.
Was it worth the time and effort to go sit in some stuffy old building with some guy preaching about things that didn't really matter?
Life was the greatest university there was, he thought.
But either way, Kai was a smart guy. He could do it.
He sighed as he finished cleaning up the kitchen.
Poor thing did seem in quite a flap over it all.
Perhaps some nice, calming tea would help.
Chamomile was good for that.
He'd learned that from the prestigious University of Twinings...
The untouched plate of food had been moved to the floor along with several screwed up pieces of paper.
Both books spread out on his desk now and a pissed off expression sitting on his face.
So the tax is taken from the profit at 20% but this is split into two payments over the course of the financial year, the second payment accounting for next years figures which- Wait.. what?
Kai ripped out another sheet of paper from his workbook before taking out his frustrations on it, smushing it into a ball that represented all of his life's failures and threw it on the floor with a huff.
No wonder people don't pay their fucking taxes this shit makes no sense!
The door opened.
"Heeeyy, thought you might like so-"
The clatter of crockery getting kicked was followed by a yelp as steaming hot water splattered, quickly trying to recover his footing.
Violet eyes just stared, his mouth gaped open as tea spilled over his desk, his textbook and on his work. All of his written words smearing on the paper.
Before the other had a chance to even mentally process an apology Kai exploded.
"What the fuck Brooklyn?!" He yelled snapping his eyes to him.
"What do you want?! I said to fucking leave me alone!"
Brooklyn let his racing heart calm as he shook his hand, the sting of the boiling water needing a moment.
He looked down, trying to piece together what happened and saw splatterings of red tomato sauce up his white pants.
He stared at his hard work, face falling.
"...Shouldn't it be me saying what the fuck!? Like why the fuck is there a plate on the floor!?"
Kai slammed his pen down.
"I needed the space!" He continued to shriek going red in the face, "I told you I was busy so why are you even coming in here, again?!"
Brooklyn recoiled, sinking as the booming noises echoed off the wall.
"I was just bringing you some tea..."
"Why?! Did I ask you for tea? Huh? Did I?! No! Cos I don't fucking want any Brooklyn! What I want, no, NEED is to get this shit done so I actually have a future! What part of 'this shit is important' do you not get? And now I have to start writing it all out, AGAIN!"
Brooklyn bounced inside from furious to guilty to upset.
It had been an accident! How was he to know there was a damn plate on the floor!?
But his eyes travelled down to the wet and ruined paper and sank even more.
"I-I just thought it would help you relax...I was just trying to help...is there anything I can do? Maybe I can help you write some stuff out?" He stuttered quietly.
Kai could feel a headache coming on from his yelling but all he was seeing was red.
His own cocktail of anger, upset and worry for his future being shaken up inside him.
"Relax? How can I relax Brooklyn when my entire career plan relies on getting this done?! I can do it all just fine. I. Don't. Need. Your. Help. Yet you keep on coming in here and bothering me. What I need is to be left alone!"
Turning back to his desk he tried to salvage the sheets of sopping wet paper before a sigh escaped him and he rest his head in his hands.
"I think you should go home tonight."
Brooklyn's usually bright eyes dulled and watered in guilt.
He wanted to plead to let him stay and make it up to him somehow, but he could tell the damage was done.
He silently nodded, kneeling down to pick up his untouched (apart from by his own feet) plate and quietly left him.
A handful of hours had passed when the growling of his stomach became that loud he couldn't ignore it anymore and Kai finally ventured from his cave in search for food.
He'd managed to get everything rewritten, worded even better in his opinion and was able to get another page down of stuff before breaking off.
What time even was it now? Late enough to be pitch black out, couldn't see shit.
Flicking on the lights he stretched out his arms and let out a groan as he head downstairs and for the kitchen.
Whatever Brooklyn had made looked real good.. wonder what he did with that? Fridge maybe? Oh no. He stood on it didn't he? Pfft.. well there went that idea. Cereal it was then.
Stepping in he turned on the kitchen light and took in the glistening counter tops and the empty sink. Noting that the other had tidied everything up afterwards.
He didn't need to do that for him...
Opening up the fridge door there was a little pack up with a sticky note and his name on it with a smiley face.
He made his lunch for him tomorrow too? Aw man...
Reaching up for it he pulled it out and unwrapped it.
Chicken, cheese and lettuce.. his favourite...
Well didn't he feel like an absolute asshole now...
Taking a bite he took the sandwich back upstairs to try and do a little bit more work before he passed out.
He'd text him tomorrow, could apologise and make it up to him somehow. Maybe he could do dinner tomorrow? Yeah that'd work. Give him all the affection he wanted... and, all the other stuff he might want too...
Despite Kai following through on his plan to text him the next morning, it had gone noon and was still unanswered by the redhead who was currently burning a hole in to it with his eyes at the staffroom table, eating a sandwich with more vigor than usual.
Oh sure, he knew Kai was stressed out.
But the way he yelled at him...
He didn't care for that at all. He'd only tried to help...
Making her way into the back Barbara clocked the mop of red hair with a face like thunder and flicked on the kettle for her own lunch break.
"You've been awfully quiet today Brook, is everything alright?" She asked in genuine concern as she knelt down to the fridge to retrieve her salad box.
He snapped his eyes up with a hard face.
Only Kai called him that.
"Hn. Sure."
Whilst the expression was missed with her making herself some tea the tone of his voice was not.
"Well you don't seem like it... here, tea makes everything better." She said placing a cup down in front of him and joining him at the table with her own.
Brooklyn's brow twitched.
Ooohhhhhhh. Very fuckin funny universe!
"I would love one! Thank you! How thoughtful of you!"
Barbara just blinked to him before taking a sip of her tea.
"You're welcome... so, talk to me. What's the matter? Anything I can help with?"
Brooklyn shifted in his seat and pouted.
"...I got yelled at for making tea last night..."
The way her face scrunched up showed her thoughts on that one.
"But why? By who?"
He shifted more. Pout growing stronger.
"My boyfriend...he was stressing over some school stuff. I made dinner and took it in to him, made sure he ate. Then after a while I thought I'd take him some tea. When I went in, I tripped. He'd put the plate on the floor and I hadn't seen it. So chamomile tea went flying, ruined his work..." he sighed, black cloud of woe forming over his head.
"It was an accident. But he yelled at me and kicked me out..."
"Ohhh petal you were only trying to help!" She cooed reaching over and touching his hand. "He shouldn't have reacted like that but stress can make us all do some funny things..."
Pulling back she wrapped her hands around her cup.
"I'm guessing you haven't spoken since last night then? Has he tried to apologise at all?"
Brooklyn warmed at the touch.
That was comforting.
Ahhhhh. He guessed Barbara was all right.
"Just a half assed message...don't know how to respond really. I know he just snapped, but it was still hurtful, you know? Spent forever making a nice meal for him. Put the whole thing on the floor like garbage without touching it...went berserk when I tripped..."
She sent him a sympathetic look. His boyfriend had seemed such a nice boy when he came in that day...
"Oh I'm sorry dear, you didn't deserve that at all.. what did he say in the message?"
"That he was sorry for snapping...thanks for making him lunch...blablabla..." Brooklyn sighed in a grave manner like it was something devastating.
"Well at least he's seen the error of his ways and apologised to you." Barbara offered, taking her fork and stabbed into her salad.
"He sent that earlier did you say? And you've not replied yet?"
Brooklyn rolled his eyes.
"No. Not sure if I forgive him just yet."
"I'd let him stew a little bit longer also.." she sent him almost mischievously, a small smile on her face as she took another sip of her tea. "Let him really know he's in the dog house."
Brooklyn lifted a curious brow.
"You think so?"
"Oh absolutely! Take it from an old gal who's lived many a year longer than you my boy. You're a little gem and should be treated like one. If he can't see what an absolute catch you are then there are plenty of others that will."
Brooklyn gave her a faint smile of thanks at the well meaning pep talk. But so far during his time on this planet, he was yet to see anyone take an interest in him romantically.
Not that that mattered anyway. He wanted Kai. Only Kai. Period.
...Even though he was an ungrateful, angry little shithead.
The annoying sound of sipping and rustling took his attention back to his boss, trying not to glower at her.
Nothing worse than the sound of slurping...
She obliviously set her cup down and turned the page of the newspaper, licking her thumb to get a better grip of the page.
"Oooooohhhhh! Claire Voyant might have some good news for us Brook!" She exclaimed brightly as she folded the paper over and set it in front of her, setting her index finger on the print, reading silently along with her lips moving.
"Well...it says here my luck lies in the letter Z...well I wonder what on earth that is...my Zebra print bag?" she mused before lifting her eyes to him.
"What sign are you?"
Brooklyn blinked at her.
Only weirdos believed in horoscopes.
He should know, he was one of them...
"Gemini."
She nodded and went back to the page a moment before slapping her thigh and grinning.
"Ohhh would you look at this...'a conflict may have ensued with the moon's clash with fiery Mercury. As the moon leaves to Venus, she flushes out any balance issues Mercury may have caused and restores peace.' Well, there you go Brook! Written in the stars."
Brooklyn let out a coy smile.
Mercury. Should have known it was that stage of the cycle.
"Well...what a relief."
Barbara nodded as she sipped her tea again.
"Mmhmm!"
Finishing off her tea, she stood from the table and dropped the box in the trash before rinsing out her cup at the sink.
"I do hope you both sort it out though Brooklyn, you seemed well suited when he came in.. take an extra ten to finish your lunch, and I'll see you back out there soon. And remember, you are a gem!"
With a smile she turned on her heel and left him in the staff room alone to ponder all she'd said.
Brooklyn watched her leave before turning back to his phone.
...Yeh.
...YEH! He was a gem!
He lived for Kai. Wanted nothing more than to see him happy.
And all just to get a foot full of chicken parmesan!
Fuck that! He may be weak for Kai, but it didn't make him weak.
Barbs was right!
But ignoring someone wasn't his style.
That was Kai's way.
Oooooh no. He'd make him see...
His hand flew at his phone.
[Oh. Hello. I didn't see you there. Been running around like crazy with-]
What was a good Russian name? His mind only gave him 'Boris'. And there was no fuckin way he was using that.
[Vladimir.]
At the buzz in his pocket Kai slyly slipped out his phone under his desk to read the notification.
He'd never usually be one to sit on his phone in class but having not heard from Brooklyn all morning the suspense was starting to kill him.
Wasn't like him to straight ignore his phone. Even whilst he was on shift Brooklyn would slip him the cheeky text here and there.
His brows furrowed as he read the long awaited response.
Vladimir?
[Oh. Okay. Work's busy then?]
Almost instantly:
[Could say that.]
Kai took another glance up to the teacher whose back was thankfully still facing him.
[Well that's good.] He typed, not really sure what else to say to that.
[Are you coming over when you finish?]
Brooklyn frowned.
That was it!?
[Depends. May have to work a little late.]
It was Kai's turn to frown. Since when did he ever have to work late?
[How come?]
Brooklyn put the phone down to think.
How far did he go with this?
Deep down he knew it was wrong. But damnit, he was a gem! He needed a hint of jealousy, anything, that made Kai realise he needed him.
[Ah, Vlad and I are behind. I told you about him, right?]
A hint of something swirled within Kai's chest.
The fuck was this?
He'd never mentioned anyone called 'Vlad' before. He was sure he'd remember a stupid name like that so knew this was the first of it but why was he so mentionable all of a sudden?
He had to slip the phone back into his pocket and shift as the teacher made their way around the class to hand out a worksheet on each desk.
C'mon lady hurry up with it...
After two minutes of agonising wait she was back at her desk and he could resume.
[He a new coworker I'm guessing?]
Brooklyn smirked to himself.
[Oh, I didn't? Weird. But yes. He's the same age, tall, very witty and he's Russian! Just like you!]
Kai sent his phone a look. And he cared whyyy?
[Good for him. So any idea at all when you'll be finishing? Was thinking I could do dinner? I don't mind waiting for you.]
Brooklyn made a face.
[Hm. Yeh. Might be nice to cover my socks in something different.]
Kai couldn't suppress the eye roll. He never realised how petty this guy was...
[Ha. Ha. I said I was sorry didn't I? So what time should I expect you?]
Brooklyn stopped.
Shit. Now he was stuck waiting around somewhere before he could go home.
[Will let you know. Don't know if I'm working late yet. Welp. Back to the grind stone! Byeeeee!]
After sending a simple bye in response, Kai shoved his phone back into his pocket in a huff and started to fill in the worksheet before him.
The hell was that? Why was he being like that with him? All, ambiguous...
And why would anyone need to stay working late at a garden centre?
You water plants, and sell plants. That was it.
And who the fuck was Vlad?! Brooklyn said he'd been busy with this guy all morning so then how was he needing to stay late at all?
Made no sense...
Maybe if he had really been running round working and not finding everything out about Vlad then maybe he wouldn't have to stay late at all!
And he was witty! Not overly tall but... he had abs dammit! And arms of steel! Did Vlad have abs and arms of steel?! Hm?!
He took a glance to the clock above the whiteboard once the bell rang for lunch.
Was only social studies after.
It wasn't like him to ever skip class but this whole thing was bothering him a lot more than he liked to admit.
Was Brooklyn still mad at him? He'd said he was sorry twice now.. Should know to just leave him when he asks. Should know how he gets when he's stressed...
Easing himself up from his desk he packed his bag and slung it over his shoulder.
Maybe a little work visit would solve all this. See if Brooklyn is still angry with him and see if this Vlad was someone he should be concerned about...
Stepping aside and holding the door open to let an old lady hobble out first with her new flowery purchase, Kai entered the centre and the smell of flowers and greenery assaulted his nostrils.
This place would have his life with his hay-fever...
Rubbing under his nose to diminish the tickle that was brewing he wandered to the front desk where the lady he'd met before was trimming some stems at the counter.
The sense that someone was there caught her attention, turning her head only to double take and grin.
"Oooooooohhhhh! It's you! Hello again!" She greeted brightly.
"If you're here to give Brooklyn his lunch, I'm afraid you're an hour or so too late!" She chuckled.
Kai shifted to rub the back of his neck.
"Oh no, I just thought I'd swing by and see him," he told her, taking a slight look around for the mop of red hair but couldn't see him. "He said he'd been busy all morning and might have to work late..."
Barbara blinked.
"Beg your pardon?"
Today had been somewhat slow...as weekday afternoons tended to be minus the retired.
"He said he'd been running round with Vlad all day?" He reiterated, hoping the name drop would jog her apparently failing memory. "He around?"
Barbara stared at him like he'd spoken another language.
Oh no...he wasn't a troubled youth on drugs was he?
"Sweetie, I'm afraid you've completely lost me. We've had to invent work to do all day and there's no one that works here called Vlad." She chortled, finding him amusing.
Kai sent her a sceptical look. Maybe she was older than he first thought..
"Are you sure? No Vlad... Vladimir? Tall, witty, Russian guy?"
Barbara's lip wiggled before she couldn't hold it in and let out a deep belly laugh.
"Ohhhh, you kids keep me young! Ahhh! I think I would know if I hired a tall Russian called Vladimir my love."
Slate brows frowned a little, not appreciating being laughed at in the slightest but now he was even more confused.
Why would Brooklyn make it up? Why would he-
Ah.
Okay... He could play along...
He sent Barbara a forced chuckle of his own.
"Yeahh. You're right, of course you would. Is our little storyteller around then?"
Barbara was reduced to blinking again.
Maybe it was slang.
"You mean Brook? He's over in the nursery. In the rose section I think." She said as she pointed in the general direction.
He took a glance over to where she'd gestured before turning back to her again.
"I'm sure I'll find him. Thanks." He sent before turning and meandering down one of the aisles.
THE DIRTY LITTLE LIAR. Ohhhhh he was going to have fun with this...
As the clock struck two, Brooklyn whistled a happy tune as he tended to the miniature roses.
Uh oh...some browning leaves. No bueno.
Were they being watered too much? Urgh. This was his area! Who the fuck was watering his plants?
"Afternoon," came a simple greeting from behind.
Brooklyn spun wide eyed, drops of water still trickling out his little watering can.
"The hell are you doing here!? Why aren't you at school?!"
"Had something more important to deal with," Kai answered vaguely before stepping to him and pressing his lips against the others.
"So where is he?" He asked looking around the aisle they were stood in.
Brooklyn stood frozen, the kiss paralyzing him though his chest fluttered and pounded.
"Who?" He asked dumbly.
"Vlad," he replied, drawling it out some as surely that answer was obvious. "I'm here to kick his ass."
Brooklyn's panic flashed over his face before bringing it in and tutting.
"Why the hell would you do that?"
"Cos see, we Russians don't just show our wit for no reason... He's clearly in to you so I'm gonna set him straight." Kai nonchalantly bullshitted, prodding at a rose to keep his focus from Brooklyn's worry filled face.
His hand got smacked away from it.
"Don't touch that. And don't be ridiculous." He scolded, though danced on the inside.
Really!? He'd come all the way here to pummel some guy?
This was more like it.
"I'm not joking Brooklyn. I wanna know where he is." Kai stated in his old gang leader voice.
"Is that him?" He pointed to a tall blonde walking by wearing the same apron Brooklyn was and holding a watering can.
Brooklyn's heart raced.
Oooooooo!
Did he say yes? He was Jeremy or. Joe or. Whoever the fuck he was.
Didn't matter, he still wanted to see Kai kick his ass.
"Noooo, that isn't him. He might be out back."
Though Kai didn't listen to him.
"Hey you! Yeah you. I'd like a word." He called as he stepped away from Brooklyn and strut over to the innocent coworker.
Brooklyn paled.
"Hey! The fuck you doing!? That aint him!" He hissed.
Kai leisurely slowed his feet, took in a breath to get back into character before turning back around to face him.
"So then where is he Brooklyn?" He bit. "Go check in the back!"
Brooklyn coiled back, giving a swift nod before cantering passed Jerry and flashing the poor confused guy an ecstatic schoolgirl grin as he passed him.
Jeremy just sent him a look before daring to turn back to the boy who was fixing to do, something with him who in turn sent over a slight shake of his head.
The hell was going on?!
"Do...Can I help you with anything sir?" He asked timidly as deep violet eyes stared at his soul.
Kai was stood with his arms loosely folded over his chest when it dawned on him he was still in thug mode.
Realising Brooklyn had gone and this innocent bystander, (who obviously wasn't Vlad since Vlad didn't exist!) had gotten caught up in their little game the act instantly dropped.
"Oh! Nooo.. you're good! Uh, just, carry on doing what it is you do here." He awkwardly waved him off.
Jason gave a polite nod, quickly hurrying himself away to the compost aisle.
He'd be safe there...
Meanwhile, Brooklyn's belly fizzed as he hung around the stock room.
What a rush!
Kai was furious. Ready to take a fucker out for his man.
He did see what a gem he was!
Yesssss, it was probably wrong of him to lie to him. But it wasn't a bad lie, per se. Just a friendly reminder of how important he was to him.
He would soothe the green envy and rage with lashings of passion and they could forget all about Vlad.
And if he ever started giving him nonsense again, "Vlad" could invite him for dinner out the blue.
Perfect!
With a smug spring in his step, he sauntered back, catching the two toned hair and fizzing again.
"Oohhhhh damn. Looks like you just missed him. Seems he didn't have to stay late after all." He said with an innocent shrug.
Kai blinked at him.
He was really going to keep it going?!
"I see.. Maybe another time then."
Ooooohh this little fucker.. his inner self was steaming at the ears though smirking at the same time.
"I'll hazard a guess that you don't need to stay late either then?" he asked in a knowing tone.
Brooklyn's face looked as if butter wouldn't melt.
"Guess not! Looks like he got it all done!" He smiled, "Great guy..."
Kai bit the inside of his cheek as a hum sat in his throat to humour him.
"He sounds almost too good to be true..."
Brooklyn swayed his body a little, looking as happy as a sloth in a tree as always.
"Mmhmm! So what you making me tonight?"
Kai's eye twitched. A burger with a side of LIES.
"What would you like?" he asked just as sweet.
Brooklyn bit his lip a little, face flirtatious as he moved closer.
"You. On a plate."
Kai smirked to him and tilted his head to the side.
"Take that as I'm forgiven then?"
Brooklyn leaned in and pecked him softly on the lips.
"Hmmmm. Might need to get on your knees later. But after that I'll be over it."
The smirk remained.
"I'll see what I can do..."
Brooklyn came over giddy.
All this and a blow-job shaped cherry on top?
Delightful!
"Well then...I'd better get back to work. See you in a few hours."
With another peck on the lips, Kai sent him a goodbye with his own excited glint in his eyes.
Oh he'll be seeing him alright... just not from an angle he was used to...
5:30pm on the dot, Kai's front door opened and glittering eyes walked in sniffing the air.
He wondered what he'd made.
Ooooohhh a romantic evening of making up. He'd been walking on air the whole afternoon after he left.
"Kai? You home?"
The called response came from behind a closed door upstairs.
"Yeah! Can you c'mere and help me with this?"
Brooklyn's head looked up and frowned.
That wasn't the kitchen, but whatever...
He kicked off his shoes and sauntered his way up to the bedroom.
"Hey, what you up to?"
Stepping from behind the door he'd hid behind, Kai pounced and grabbed at the front of the white jacket, pushing Brooklyn's back into the door to close it shut and pressed his lips against his in a bruising kiss.
He was met by stiff tension for a moment, but as soon as the wide eyes computed, the body between the door and him relaxed, kissing him back just as hard as his hands snaked round him.
Kai's hands began to trail down, quickly undoing the white jacket as he went, tongue circling the others still before his hands crawled back up and pulled it off Brooklyn's shoulders to throw it behind him.
He then wasted no time in reaching for the hem of the redhead's shirt, Brooklyn's arms lifting up along with it when his hands were then abruptly shoved back and restrained against the door, material still around his wrists.
"Get on the bed." Kai ordered in his ear before releasing him, lifting the shirt off completely and dropping it to the floor.
Brooklyn's swelling lips parted and looked at him in shocked confusion while at the same time moving to do as he was told.
Well this was...new.
But he liked it.
He sat himself on the edge of the bed as he told him to, leaning back on his hands and watching him intently.
Teal eyes drank up the sight of him pulling off his own shirt and chucking it by his feet.
Every toned muscle, ever scar, he'd be able to paint him from memory if he was asked to.. he was too beautiful...
Sinking to his knees Kai went at Brooklyn's belt, undoing it and sliding down his zipper before grabbing at the hem and forcefully pulling them down along with his underwear.
Before anything could be processed the same fair hand had already shoved him down, Brooklyn's back now against the bedsheets and kisses being placed against his stomach.
Brooklyn purred, biting his smiling bottom lip as he tensed up in anticipation.
"Mmmmm...you are feisty tonight..." he giggled, closing his eyes as he felt the lips go lower.
Taking him into his mouth, Kai sank down slowly before sliding back up him, repeating the action a few times making sure there was adequate glide for now as he replaced his lips with his hand.
"Mhmm.. Wanted to show you how sorry I was for yesterday..."
Brooklyn bit in to his lip harder and groaned, hips arching.
"Mmm you're doing a damn good job..."
Kai smirked down to him, drinking him up as he watched him writhe under his touch.
Oh, it was going to get so much better...
With one hand still working him the other crept into the top drawer of his bedside table and pulled out the tube of lube from the bottom of it.
Flicking off the top he held it above the hand jerking him and coated Brooklyn's cock in the cool gel, any friction being lost now as his hand easily glided up and down him.
Brooklyn gasped, his cock slick and soaking.
Ooooo he had a feeling he knew what was coming.
Kai was going to climb up on him and ride him in to the sunset.
Though as Brooklyn soon found out that wasn't the plan at all, as that same drenched hand started to wander and trailed lower, caressing his balls for a moment before a single finger circled his entrance.
He flinched hard and let out a less than flattering sound.
"Thehellyoudoing!?"
"Shhhh..." Kai cooed as his free hand made it to his own belt and discarded of his complete lower half.
"Just relax..." he added before gripping around his cock again, going back to working him as he ever so slowly pushed a finger inside him.
Brooklyn didn't feel he was in a position to argue, or protest as Kai already started to slide a finger up his ass.
His body tightened up on instinct at the intrusion and grit his teeth.
It hurt but didn't? Just felt weird and a little gross.
"Isn't that bad right?" Kai sent down with a smug air, watching his expression shift from serene to uncomfortable and back again.
Brooklyn scowled at him.
Know it all...
"Isn't great either..."
It was ignored and a smile was sent his way.
"Not yet, just give it a few minutes."
He slowly eased back out of him before pushing back in, watching and reading Brooklyn's reaction on when he could proceed further.
Brooklyn spread his legs more and let a soft moan out as Kai slid back inside him.
That felt nicer than the first time...
Kai's tongue licked across his lips.
There ya go...
The plus with having been in Brooklyn's position many a time was he knew exactly what he was feeling right now. Knew that he could start going a little faster, and a little deeper...
Brooklyn let out a shuddered gasp as his head lifted off the bed a little.
Ooo...
"It's okay?" Kai asked though knew the answer already as his lone finger continued to push in and out of him. "Ready for another?"
"Mmhmm..." he sighed back.
Truthfully he was anxious for another. But if Kai could handle it...
Kai pulled out his finger before partnering it with his middle one, slowly sinking it in again and watching for the reaction.
At the clench of his muscles he knew he was going to pull a face any second now as he was stretched that little bit more, but it would be worth it, Brooklyn just needed to relax.
The face came.
"Ow..."
"Relax... you're tensing up."
Brooklyn let out an unhappy groan yet did his best to unclench.
Deep breaths...
Kai felt the tightness around his fingers loosen ever so slightly but it wasn't nearly enough if he intended on sticking his cock in there.
Whilst he'd love the vice like grip he was sure the redhead would not.
Maybe a further distraction would help..
Wetting his lips he took Brooklyn's cock in his mouth again slowly bobbing up and down him the same pace his fingers were easing in and out.
A white hand went straight in his hair, moaning in appreciation for the glorious distraction.
Kai's beautiful mouth wrapped round him took the edge off instantly as the pleasure rippled through him.
It wasn't too long before the two sensations started to collide in a good way, leaving his nose in a deep red flush and his skin clammy.
"K-Kai..." he moaned loudly, ab muscles trembling some.
There you go... so much better when you relax...
A vibration travelled up Brooklyn's length as a low moan sat in Kai's throat at the raking fingers along his scalp.
Oooh he loved having his hair played with...
He separated his fingers inside him as much as they could go, stretching him that little bit more as he slowly eased in and out of him. Kai knew he had to be gentle and take it easy but he was beyond turned on right now. So much so that his free hand that had gripped around the base of the redhead's shaft had sneaked down and around his own, jerking himself lightly to release some of the pressure from his twitching and leaking tip.
Brooklyn continued to pant relentlessly, pleasured sounds hitching in his throat before they eventually expelled.
Some movements made him feel a sting and a burn, but it wasn't enough to quell the building pleasure.
The noises starting to erupt from him on the bed sent goosebumps along Kai's fair skin and he was starting to lose his restraint on not just screwing Brooklyn into the sheets.
He'd be ready now, right?
Fuuck please be ready...
Releasing the grip he had on himself he eased up to his feet, letting the shaft fall from his lips and slowly pulled out his fingers from the tight hole.
"You okay?" He asked in a hushed tone, placing soft kisses up the stomach and chest beneath him whilst his lubed up palm coated himself.
Brooklyn lay limply flushed beneath him.
"I'm fine..." he breathed.
His heart raced in his ribcage.
Kai was about to take him, and it had come out of nowhere.
The kisses had made it to Brooklyn's neck when he responded. Kai's own voice coming out in a pant.
"Good... Cos I can't wait anymore."
Positioning himself Kai slowly pushed into him, his lips parting, mirroring Brooklyn's as he adjusted to being stretched even further.
Brooklyn's eyes widened and gasped at the much larger intrusion, throwing his arms round his neck while his thighs shook.
He stared right back in to soothing violet, willing himself not to tense up.
As Kai sunk to the base he lowered himself to press his lips against his, a low moan sitting in his own throat as the muscles gripped around him.
"Tell me if you want me to stop okay?" He breathed out though hoped the word wouldn't pass Brooklyn's lips as this felt fucking amazing and he hadn't even started yet.
Brooklyn shook his head at him.
"Don't stop..."
At that Kai's hips started to move, slowly at first, thrusting in and out of him sinking in fully before sliding back out.
He wanted to let his eyes fall closed but couldn't tear away from the sight below him.
The way Brooklyn's eyes had rolled back, the teeth that had embedded into his lower lip.
He'd seen Brooklyn's face contort in pleasure before but this.. this just seemed different.
His hands tangled in to his hair.
It stung some, but being filled by him felt good.
Kai's hips slowly built up some momentum, reaching spots that seemed to like the faster, harder penetration he was getting.
He could tell by the sounds that were filling his ears now as he let his head hang and bury into Brooklyn's neck, placing kisses upon his flushed skin between his own pants.
"Fuck you feel so good..."
Brooklyn's red mop became more matted with sweat.
"Shhiiiit Kai, so do you..." he groaned.
"Deeper...I want you deeper." His voice begged in his ear.
Kai bit into his lip, trying to suppress the curse that threatened to escape him at how damn hot that was just now hearing him say that.
He instantly obliged.
Lifting himself up he pulled at Brooklyn's hips and dragged him in closer, driving into him and picking up the speed he was thrusting into him.
It wasn't long before his momentum was relentless and his skin had adopted a glossy sheen.
Brooklyn's voice echoed off the walls, his hand flying out to the sheets to grip on as his hair flopped with each pound.
"Oooooh fuck! Yes! Kai!"
Kai's own grip on the sheets tightened and one arm remained hooked under a milky thigh holding him close.
Hips pounding into the other as fast and as hard as he could go as waves of pleasure coursed through him at an alarming rate.
He was close. He could feel it. Brooklyn's walls clenched tight around him providing the perfect friction as he slid in and out of him.
He wasn't the only one.
Brooklyn loved being intimate with Kai. Having his senses filled with nothing but him.
But this time he was well and truly filled by him.
And it felt divine.
He could smell him, taste him, hear him.
Feel him inside him...reaching sweet spots that had never been touched before.
It was getting too much...the build up soaring with the new sensations.
"Oh god...Kai! I'm gonna come..."
Kai let out a grunt.
Thank god 'cos he couldn't hold on much longer!
A mere handful of thrusts later an animalistic moan tore through Kai's throat and filled the bedroom completely, his hot seed pouring into him and leaking out as he rode out his orgasm, savouring every last millisecond.
Brooklyn shivered, feeling it coat his insides as his wild cries simmered down to heavy breathing beneath him.
Kai's chest heaved in on him, quickly swallowing to relieve his dried throat before panting out some more and letting himself fall limp beside him.
"Wow..." He managed as he stared up at the ceiling.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn's dishevelled head was turned, staring at him.
He quickly took up his hand, letting his usual serene smile creep back.
Wow indeed.
The orgasm that had flooded him was now being replaced with pure love.
The way he'd come to take care of 'Vlad'.
The assertion of dominance when he got home.
He'd been so forceful and yet so gentle with him.
And finally, Kai had been inside him.
They'd even climaxed together.
He shifted a little closer to him.
"I love you."
Kai let his head fall to look at him, a soft smile appearing on his lips as he rolled on to his side to face him properly.
"I love you too." He whispered as a fair hand came up to stroke his cheek.
Brooklyn sighed as he leaned in to the touch.
This was bliss.
Perfection.
True happiness.
And there wasn't a thing in the world that could change that.
