Heart and Soul of the Matter Pt 1
In Pop Village, many of the visiting trolls were going about their daily activities when a big, loud "Woo-hoo" roared through from Dr. Moonbloom's office. Everyone perked their heads up and saw that running out of the doctor's pod was Synth, now cast-free and walking as he said, "Hey-yo! I'm back, trolls"! The crowd below cheered and had their glowsticks out in appreciation as Synth gradually walked down the steps, with his wife, Stereo, following him, as she said, "It's so great to have you walking on your own two fins again, Synthesizer." Synth brought his wife into a quick kiss as he said, "Hahaha! I know! I thought those two weeks would never end! Now, my tail's all healed up, and I'm ready...to rave"! He pumped his arms up in the air and shouted, "Woo-hoo," as the crowd of trolls followed his motions. Stereo then said, "So, let's head to Techno Reef and throw a massive rave fest to celebrate your full recovery"! Synth smiled and said, "Yeah! Stereo, that idea is so," as both trolls pumped the arms up while imitating air horns in unison. Both Techno trolls started to head towards the river and jumped in upon arrival, swimming all the way to Techno Lagoon. Underwater, they were both greeted by the sound of music as Stereo asked, "Guess we don't need to throw a rave because one's already started"! Synth laughed as he said, "Then, let's go join"! They both swam into their homeland and saw a massive crowd of Techno trolls already dancing as Finn was operating the music on his DJ set. Next to him was Laguna, who was also partaking in the dancing and keeping a close eye out if any troll needed help. Synth and Stereo swam up to them as synth proudly said, "Laguna! Finny boy! This rave is so *imitates air horns*"! Finn growled under his breath and snarkily replied, "How many times do I have to tell you, Synth? It's Electro Ray"! Synth chuckled as he said, "Many more times until I get it," which made the older Tidepool sibling groan in defeat and return to the music.
Meanwhile, Laguna came forward, saying, "Note: Techno Lagoon has been thriving in good health during your recovery, synth. My older brother was in charge of the music while I took care of the other duties you partake in as acting ambassador/prince." Synth had a huge grin as he looked around, saying, "Well, the Lagoon looks great, and every troll looks so happy. You and Finny did a great job! I knew I made the right choice putting your both in charge while my tail recovered." Finn rolled his eyes while a red vein appeared behind his head from Synth saying that dumb nickname, but it went unnoticed as Laguna said, "No problem, Synth. I was initially nervous about acting as a temporary ambassador, but I'm grateful that things turned out alright." Stereo patted Laguna on the back as she said, "More than alright! Everyone looks so happy! You know? You'll make a terrific leader someday"! Laguna blushed a little in embarrassment as she commented while readjusting her glasses, "Me? A leader? You really think so"? Synth and Stereo nodded as Synth stated happily, "Yeah! You'd be a great leader, Laguna! You care about the well-being of other trolls, you're super smart and know so much, and you got that leader mentality." The group was soon joined up by Trollex, who was swimming over to them, saying, "Hey, guys," and Aggie was following closely behind Trollex, adding, "What's up"? Synth swam over to his brother and said, "Trollex! Aggie! Check it out! My tail's all better! I can swim and move around again"! Trollex placed an arm around his brother as he said, "So great to hear," as Aggie replied, "And you seem to be in an excellent mood." Synth nodded excitedly as he commented, "Yeah! With my tail all healed, I can now get back to doing what I love: watching over Techno Lagoon and rave! Let's dance! DJ Electro Ray, drop a beat"! Finn pressed some buttons on his DJ set and started to play some music as he said, "Hey, Techno Lagoon! We are bringing it down tonight! The ambassador, the leader, delegates, and Master of All Music, taking to the floor! Giving you more of what you love! Let's go"!

The crowd cheered in admiration as Aggie said while pumping her arms up, "Wow! Now, this is what I call a rave"! Synth nodded and shouted, "Yeah! Woo-hoo," before stopping dead in his tracks. Synth suddenly brought his arms down and looked at his hands before saying to himself, "Huh? That was weird. I...didn't feel anything. Ah, I probably just need to keep it up for a little longer." Synth tried to pump his arms up again like normal but then stopped again, saying, "What? I...I don't feel it. The groove...it's not happening." Stereo noticed her husband not dancing as she asked, "Everything ok, Synth"? Synth snapped out of it as she forced a smile and replied, "Yeah, baby! Everything's all good," as stereo returned to partying hard as she shouted, "Hey-ay," which the crowd happily shouted as well. Synth began to feel nervous as he swam over to the side, trying to figure out what was going on as Trollex noticed his brother swimming away and decided to follow him. He caught up to synth and asked, "Hey, brother. What's wrong"? Synth turned around to face Trollex as he said, "I think something might be wrong with me." Trollex became concerned as he approached his brother, asking, "What makes you say that'? Synth grabbed his brother's arms in a panic as he shouted, "I think I lost it! My rave groove! I...I don't feel it anymore"! Trollex swam back a bit, giving his twin some space as the Techno leader calmly said, "Easy, Synth. Now, what do you mean you think you "lost your groove"? Synth anxiously shouted, "I just...don't feel that special energy in me anymore! The kind that gets me to pump my arms up and makes me feel so "imitates air horns*! Now, when I try to do it, it looks so forced and weird"!
Aggie, Laguna, and Stereo started to swim towards them as Aggie asked, "What's going on? Is everything ok here"? Trollex turned to face Aggie as he said, "Synth says that he's lost his groove and that he can't rave anymore." Laguna looked through her notepad as she said, "Note: that is not possible since Techno trolls do not technically, as you state, "lose their groove," though I am curious as to what you are referring your groove to." Synth shouted, "You know! that feeling you get when you're dancing and enjoying yourself in a rave? Hm...Stereo! Rave for a minute"! Stereo nodded and began to pump her arms up, saying, "Yeah! Now, this is how to have fun"! Synth then asked, "Now, in the best way you can, describe to us how you are feeling while doing that." Stereo kept raving as she said, "Well, I'm happy, excited, energized, like dancing till the world ends! I just wanna keep doing this forever"! Synth raised his hands and said, "That! That is the feeling I'm talking about. It's not there in me anymore, and I love to rave almost more than any other troll here! Somehow, during that little song we did, it disappeared, and now, I can't rave anymore"! Synth covered his face in sadness as Aggie came up to him, saying, "Hey, it'll be ok, Synth. We'll do whatever we can to help you get your groove back." Synth slowly removed his hands from his face as he asked, "Really? You'll all help me find my groove again"? Everyone nodded as Trollex stated, "Of course. As your twin brother, I'm always there to lend a hand however I can when you need help." Stereo came over and kissed Synth on the cheek as she said, "As your wike, I love you so much and want to do whatever it takes to make you happy. So, of course, I'll be lending a fin as well." Aggie and Laguna came forward as the plucky MMT happily said, "And you can definitely count that we'll be helping too, especially me. As Master of All Music, it's my sworn duty to help my friends out however I can."
Laguna added, "My brother and I will also happily help you Synth in retrieving this missing groove of yours. After all, what are friends for"? In the distance, Finn shouted, "Did not agree to that," as Aggie and Laguna ended up silently snickering in amusement. With that, after Trollex was able to convince Finn to come, everyone went up onto the land to get one more troll to help them out with this problem. Aggie led them to Branch's bunker as she knocked on the door, hoping the king of pop would answer. Branch was inside, reading a newspaper when he heard the door knocking and got up to answer. He opened it and saw Aggie, Synth, Trollex, Stereo, Finn, and Laguna standing there as he said with a smile, "Let me guess. You guys need my help with something"? Seeing everyone nod confirmed it as he allowed them to come in as Trollex explained the situation to Branch. Branch listened and began to ponder as he commented, "It seems kind of odd for your groove to disappear like that suddenly. Though if you want me to be honest, realistically, maybe you're just tired and need a break." Synth gasped and said, "A break?! I can't do that! Raving isn't just what I do; it's who I am, Dubstep! Just like your morning swim, without raving, my whole LIFE is thrown off in so many ways, you can't even think about it"! Finn slowly whispered to Aggie, "You'd think after four years, he'd finally stop calling Branch Dubstep," as Aggie retorted back quietly, "Just go along with it." Synth then exclaimed in a panic, "You have to help me, Dubstep! If I can't rave, then I'm basically the lowest pinnacle of a Techno troll! Please"! Seeing Synth look really upset was enough to make Branch sigh and say, "Of course I'll help you, Synth. If it means this much to you, then I'll aid you in helping you get your groove back." Synth smiled and hugged Branch tightly, saying, "Oh, thank you, Dubstep," as Branch struggled to breathe.
Outside of the bunker, everyone gathered to see what they could do to help Synth find his raving groove back. Trollex had set up his DJ set, and Beat was resting in its special spot whenever Trollex drops the beat. Meanwhile, Branch had a clipboard and was looking through it, saying, "Ok. So, going based on the Techno troll customs in music, 4 main parts can allow one to feel a groove and rave. The type of music, the rhythm, the beat, and volume. Now, we don't need to worry about type since, for you, it's obviously Techno, so let's focus on the other three assets. To start things up, Synth, when do you necessarily start raving when a song plays"? Synth thought about it before answering, "It's honestly something automatic, Dubstep! When a song lays down its first, tiny note, that's enough to get everyone starting to rave." Finn spoke up, saying, "Well, Synth does bring up a good point, mate. Sometimes, they even start raving even before a song is bloody on! Like, who in blazes does that"? Trollex chuckled and answered, "Apparently, we do," while Finn just rolled his eyes at the Techno king's response. Branch then said, "Ok, now first, we'll see if the beat can help reinvigorate that groove inside you. Trollex will play some different beats, and all you have to do is listen and see if you feel a "change" inside. Got it"? Synth nodded, saying, "You got it, Dubstep! Trollex, my bro, let's hit it." Trollex gave a thumbs up and said to Beat, "You ready, little buddy," as Beat happily replied, "Let's do this, King Trollex"! Trollex pressed a button as it began to play a song with a fast tempo and even faster beat. Aggie found the song to be catchy as she flew up and began to pump her arms, saying, "Wow! This is a good song! I like it," as Stereo said, "Yeah! It's so *imitates air horns*," as she started to rave too.
Watching his wife and his future sister-in-law rave, Synth closed his eyes and focused on the beat but did not seem to feel that feeling he described earlier. He sighed and said, "Nothing! I feel nothing"! Trollex spoke up, saying, "Don't worry. I'm sure we'll find a beat that'll get you raving the roof off this place"! After trying several more songs with a wide range of beats, everyone sighed in disappointment as Synth said, "So far, we've tried every beat possible, and I still don't feel my groove! How am I supposed to make the day feel...good"? Everyone gasped as Laguna commented, "Synth, you didn't imitate air horn noises like you normally do." Synth covered his mouth and screamed in shock as he shouted, "Ah! It's getting worse! I can't express my excitement the normal way I do! What's wrong with me"?! Aggie flew down and shook Synth gently, saying, "Calm down! It'll be ok, Synth. We're not giving up. We just need to try a different idea." Synth stretched his arms as Finn noticed something on Synth as he walked forward towards synth, much to everyone's surprise since Finn normally avoided or tried to stay away from the Techno ambassador. Finn looked Synth in the eye before saying, "Crikey! You're exhausted! That performance must've tired you out! I can tell by those small bags under your eyes, mate"! Synth rubbed his eyes as he said, "Well, I'll admit I'm a little tired, but I'm not exhausted. I feel more energetic than a glowstick"! Stereo then came forward, saying, "You know Synthesizer, maybe they're right. you should rest up and take a break so you can be fully reenergized." Synth shook his head as he said, "Heck no! I'm not taking a break! I need to find my groove first! What's next on that list, Dubstep"?
For the rest of the morning, everyone tried all of the things on Branch's list to see if it would help Synth find his raving groove. Aggie and Stereo played different rhythms to see if one, in particular, would get Synth bopping his head. Afterward, Finn and Laguna, using Finn's DJ set, played the same song from earlier, but in different volumes, to see if the louder or softer the music was, the better chance Synth would feel like dancing to it. However, nothing seemed to be working, and with every passing fail, Synth felt more and more panicked. What if he never got to rave again?! Everyone was lying on the ground in exhaustion as Aggie commented, "I think we might've taken a step backward," as Trollex added, "Nothing seems to be working." Synth sighed as he sat on a rock, saying in a disappointed tone of voice, "Thanks, guys, for trying to help, but I might as well face it. that last rave was really my "last" rave." Everyone felt bad for Synth as Stereo sat next to him, saying, "No, my love. We will figure something out. I swear on our love that you shall find your groove and rave like no tomorrow again or my name's not Stereo"! Finn sighed as he stated, "Look, I'm not one for sentiment, but...even I have to admit, I can't stand seeing you sad like this. Only because I'm worried your brother will be depressed if you don't snap out whatever the bloody heck this kind of funk is. But, as we were saying earlier, why don't ya take a break, mate"? Laguna flipped through her notes, saying, "Finn makes a good point, Synth. In fact, taking a break can increase your chances of relaxation by 75% and allow you to feel a lot calmer, which can help you come up with more ideas on how we can find your groove."
Synth then commented, "I mean, I guess it wouldn't hurt, but what if I never rave again?! What'll happen to me"?! Aggie calmed Synth down by saying, "Synth, it wouldn't matter if you could rave or not. We all love you for who you are as a troll. Right guys"? Everyone nodded in agreement as Branch commented, "It wouldn't matter if you couldn't rave or swim or even talk. We all care about you as who you are. Our friend. And frankly, that's the most important thing to consider." Stereo even mentioned, "They're right, Synthesizer. Besides, the troll I fell in love with was not because of his equal energy in raving. But because I got to know him as the most caring ambassador/prince in their world. A troll who loves to make every troll smile as he walks by. The troll who is always ready for a good time." Synth smiled as he then got up, saying, "You guys are right. I guess...maybe taking a small break wouldn't hurt. After all, me not raving isn't the end of the world, right? I think I'll get an urchin acupuncture and then simmer with some treaditation. Catch you guys later"? Aggie nodded, saying, "You'll bet. We'll meet you by the Lagoon later," as synth waved before starting to walk back to Techno Lagoon. Trollex still felt a bit concerned as he said, "Uh, I don't know about this, guys. Didn't his behavior seem a little...off when he said that"? Finn shrugged as he replied, "Or maybe the absent-minded troll finally grew a brain and is beginning to think for once." Laguna gave her brother a slight glare and elbowed him in the ribs as Finn held his sides while saying, "Ow! Troll's Louise! I was only kidding, though it's hard to tell since I usually speak with sarcasm or snark." Branch sighed as he stated, "Well, at least Synth is feeling better and that for now, we don't have to worry about him. Let's give him some time and check up on him later." Meanwhile, on his way back to Techno Lagoon underwater, Synth looked around before screaming in a panic, "Big need to worry! I need my groove! Come on, Synth! Think, like what Finny tells me to do all the time."
Synth started to think before getting a crazy idea, saying, "Oh! Of course! If it disappeared during a rave, maybe it will COME BACK during a rave! And there'll be a better chance if I host a huge one! With loud music, bright lights, and so much fun and dancing, it'll have to come back"! Synth swam as fast as he could to set up a huge rave in an attempt to try and regain his raving groove. An hour later, on land, everyone was sitting at a table, doing their own little thing. Finn was listening to trap music through his headphones. Laguna was looking through a history book, and Branch was tuning up Gary, his remote, while Stereo was busy drawing a picture of Synth. Meanwhile, Trollex and Aggie sat together as Trolex sighed, saying, "It's been an hour. I'm a little worried about Synth. I hope he's ok." Aggie hugged Trollex to comfort him as she said, "It's alright, Trollex. I'm sure Synth will be just fine. He may be a bit of a party animal, but I've seen how he could handle situations like this before. Besides, it's just a small break to relax and calm himself. What's the worst that could happen"? Suddenly, Aggie felt a vision coming as it played what looked like a laser heading straight for the DJ mixer as it blew up into smithereens. Once Aggie returned to normal, Trollex knew that Aggie had a vision as he said, "Techno Lagoon"? Aggie nodded, getting up as she said, "Yep. Let's go," as they both started to rush back to Techno Lagoon. Stereo noticed them running as she dropped what she was doing and got up, saying, "Wait for me," and ran after them, with Branch, Laguna, and reluctantly, Finn, following closely behind. Underwater, everyone headed for the underwater city when Branch noticed something, pointing something as he said, "Down there! What's that"?
Below them was the dancefloor, shining a lot brighter than before, and there were so many colored lights flickering, it was almost blinding. Everyone had to shield her eyes a bit as Stereo commented, "It's so bright! Did the floor get replaced by a disco ball to something," as Finn commented, "Crikey! My eyes are frying like this morning's eggs"! Aggie squinted to get a better look as, by a huge DJ mixer, Synth was pumping his arms up but looked really, really nervous as Aggie shouted, "It's Synth! Maybe he might know what's going on"! They all swam over to him as Synth shouted a reluctant, "Woo-hoo," which the crowd shouted back, but with excitement. Branch came up to him, saying, "Synth! What's going on here"?! Synth turned his head to face Branch and said while forcefully pumping his arms, "Oh, hey Dubstep! Hey, guys! You won't believe it! I got my groove back"! Synth forced a smile as Trollex then came up to him, saying, "Did you really? Because it looks like you are forcing yourself to pump your arms up, and you seem to be really nervous." Synth acted dumbfoundedly as he responded, "What? No! This is all real, brother! I was in the middle of my treaditation, and suddenly, I felt the feeling come back! So, I thought the best way to celebrate was to host a huge, loud, very brightly lighted rave! And we're all having fun, right"?! Synth let out a forced chuckle as his forced smile grew more awkward, leaving Finn and Aggie to facepalm and Stereo to speak up, saying, "Honey, I can see you're..."enjoying yourself," but maybe you should let someone else take charge and rest for a minute? You seem close to passing out"? Synth replied, "No thanks, honey! I'm doing just fine! Why don't you all join the party because we're all having so much fun," before turning away and secretly whispering to himself, "Come on Synth! There's gotta be something! Maybe this one," as he pressed a purple button that made the music blast very loudly.
While the crowd did not seem to mind, the music was so loud; it made Aggie, Branch, Finn, Laguna, and Stereo cover their ears and shout in pain. Laguna cried out, "Ah! My ears, or more specifically, my fins," as Aggie shouted, "Synth! Don't you think that music is deafening?! You might blow the whole place down"! Synth didn't seem to be listening as he let out a forced, "Hey, yo! Woo-hoo," before stopping the forced arm pumps, saying in a frantic tone of voice, "Ah! Nothing! I still feel nothing! Woo...AH! I can't even rave cheer now"! Aggie swam over to Laguna and said, "As much as I don't like thunderous music, there's gotta be something we can do to help him"! Laguna responded, "I agree, but Synth does not appear to be listening to anything we say"! Meanwhile, the frantic ambassador pressed a green button that made the dancefloor glow brightly, temporarily blinding Stereo, Branch, and Trollex, who shouted, "Ah! My eyes." In contrast, Branch shouted, "I can't see"! Finn decided he had enough and muttered, "Oh sea cucumbers," before swimming over to Synth, who was randomly pushing buttons while panicking. Finn stood in front of synth, saying, "Ok, mate! That's it! Synth, you need to chill out! I'm shutting it down," as Finn pressed a bright orange button, much to Synth's horror, who shouted, "No! Not that button"! The music suddenly stopped, and the lights dimmed, much the crowd's dismay, as the DJ mixer began to light up ominously. Finn and Synth swam backward as Laguna asked nervously, "Uh, might I inquire why it's starting to glow like that"? The mixer got brighter and brighter as Aggie realized what was about to happen as she shouted, "Duck," and used her telekinesis to get everyone ducking. The light lasers suddenly became real and shot at random locations really fast, making the crowd scream, duck, and run for cover or try to flee the scene.
In shock and disbelief, Finn punched Synth in the shoulder and asked, "What the bloody heck is that"?! Synth, in fear, replied, "That's our DJ defense mode! It turns our lights into real lasers, but it's spiraling out of control"! Branch peaked his head up and shouted, "When did you even get this," as Trollex added, "Stay where you are! We'll try to help get you and Finn to safety"! Stereo noticed that by the edge of the floor, some of the trolls were struggling to get away as she swam over and gave them a hand, shouting, "Everyone swim that way as fast as you can"! While she helped lead that crowd to safety, Synth shouted, "Oh, it's the end of us! But if we're going to go out, let's drop one more beat! Woo...*sobs" I can't even cheer"! Aggie zipped to Synth as fast as she could and shook his shoulders, saying, "THIS IS NO TIME FOR BEAT DROPPING AND RAVING! We need to get everyone out of here! You're the ambassador and a prince! It's your job to keep these Techno Trolls safe"! Finn added, "She's right, mate! You're the troll, along with Trollex, of course, who is supposed to help us in a situation like this! Now, grow a pair of urchins and act as a true ambassador/prince"! Synth remained dazed for a minute as he then slapped himself in the face before shouting with determination, "Let's save Techno Lagoon! Aggie, Stereo, you two are coming with me to the eye of the laser storm to help those trapped there! Finn, Laguna, Trollex, you guys stay by the edge and help those arriving there get out safely! Dubstep, if you see any troll who's hurt, do your best to treat them before we can get medical help. Everyone understood"? Everyone nodded as they swam to complete their jobs. Stereo, Aggie, and Synth worked together to dodge the laser beams and help some trapped trolls get free before anyone could get hurt. Along the edges, Finn, Laguna, and Trollex worked to help the trolls getting over the edge so they could swim a safe distance away. Meanwhile, Branch was applying bandages to the arms and tail fins of a few Techno trolls who got hurt from the lasers.
As this kept on, Finn suddenly noticed another, smaller crowd in need of help in evacuating. He swam over to help as Laguna shouted in concern, "Finn, no! It's too dangerous," as Finn replied, "I'll be back in a bloody minute, little sister"! Finn arrived at the small crowd and guided them out before he heard an eerily sound. He turned around and saw a laser about to be fired straight at him, with no time to escape. Everyone gasped as Synth shouted, "Finny boy! No," while Stereo shouted, "He's gonna be fried to a crisp! Some troll do something"! Aggie grabbed her staff out of her hair, shouting, "I'm on it," before she saw Laguna swim past her, leaving Aggie to shout, "Laguna, no! Don't! You're gonna get hurt"! Laguna didn't seem to listen as she kept heading towards her brother as fast as she could. Branch and Trollex saw this as Trollex, in fear, shouted, "What is she doing," as Branch added, "She's gonna get herself killed doing this"! Synth looked up and shouted, "Get out of there, Laguna"! In a split second, Laguna stood in between the laser and her brother, as Finn shouted in disbelief, "Laguna, don't do it! No"! Laguna looked back at her brother before standing tall with her arms stretched wide and with determination in her eyes just as the laser fired straight at her. Everyone in Techno Reef watched in horror as the laser was approaching their soon-to-be deceased friend. However, something happened in the blink of an eye as Synth saw, shouting, "Wait, look"!
In barely a millisecond, Laguna's heart changed to purple as suddenly, a white, bright glow appeared from her chest as it grew bigger and brighter. The new white glow seemed to block the laser and reflected it, sending it towards the DJ mixer. Aggie saw that the vision was about to come true as she motioned Stereo to swim away while she pulled Synth away from the mixer, shouting, "Move! Move! Move"! Just in time, they got out of the way as the reflected laser hits the DJ mixer, making it explode into smithereens. Once the dust settled, every troll looked on in anticipation as they saw Finn alright and Laguna standing tall, unharmed. In contrast, what looked like a white, glowing forcefield covered both siblings before it slowly started to fade away. Finn did not know how to react, especially to what had just happened, but was grateful to be still alive. Laguna turned around and offered a hand up for her brother as she asked, "Are you ok"? Finn looked at her before accepting her help, standing up as he said, "Thanks, little sister," while both Tidepool siblings shared a hug. The crowd roared and cheered in admiration for Laguna's risky act of bravery as Aggie swam up to her, hugging Laguna and Finn tightly as she said, "Laguna! I'm so glad you and Finn are ok"! Branch, Stereo, Trollex, and Synth swam up to her as Branch said, "That had to be the craziest thing I've ever seen a troll do! And I've seen Poppy do a lot of crazy things over the years," as Stereo commented while placing a hand over her chest, "We're lucky no one got killed." Trollex slowly approached the an"troll"pologist as he said, "What you did was risky, dangerous, and frankly, sorry for saying it like this, stupid. But, I'm glad that you are unharmed. That was some pretty good stuff out there, Laguna." Even Synth came forward, saying, "Laguna! That light of yours was *imitates air horns*! You saved us and saved our home"! Laguna blushed a little bit in embarrassment as she responded with, "Well, I'm just lucky that no one got hurt, especially my brother."
Synth then realized something as he imitated the air horn noises again and then shouted, "Woo-hoo," with excitement. Synth grew a smile as he said, "Hey...I feel it! It's back! I got my rave groove back! Guess that little incident really did help bring it back." Trollex then approached his brother and crossed his arms, saying sternly, "Yeah, but it all could've been avoided. You were lucky no one got hurt, but what in trolly were you thinking"?! Synth looked down in shame as he said, "I...I wasn't. I just felt so bad about not having my groove and was so determined to get it back. I...did something stupid and...it almost cost us our lives. I'm sorry, Trollex, and I'm really sorry everyone for putting your lives in danger. I was so focused on a personal issue, I forgot what really mattered most: your safety and well-being. I'm a terrible ambassador and an awful prince." Everyone started to feel bad for Synth as Aggie came up to him, saying, "Well, while you did make a huge mistake, Synth, it doesn't make you a terrible ambassador. You're still learning, and trust me. We've all made huge mistakes like this before. right guys," as their friends nodded in agreement, except Finn, who shrugged and said, "It's true." Trollex then placed a hand on his twin brother's shoulder as he said, "Trust me. You're not the only one. I remember when I first became king, I made so many mistakes. I thought I'd never be a proper king. As I got older and became wiser, I started to learn from them and used what I gained to better myself and the other trolls around me. Besides, even if something like this happened, we all still love you, Synth. We want you as our ambassador. Right everyone," as all the Techno trolls cheered and chanted Synth's name. Synth felt a bit better as Trollex then added,d "I couldn't ask for anyone else to be my ambassador. You're the definition of a Techno troll, and while you're still a little shaky on the royal duties, I know in time, you'll become better and grow from it."
Synth and Trollex shared a caring bro hug, and everyone watched in awe. Suddenly, Finn's head perked up to what sounded like beating as he asked, "Hey, what in blazes is that sound"? Everyone stopped to listen as Stereo said, "It sounds very familiar," as Branch added, "Kind of like a...heartbeat"? Aggie looked around and noticed that Laguna's heart, which was still purple, was beating as she then remembered that the huge white light that appeared came from her chest. Aggie approached Laguna and said, "Laguna, your heart. Your heart must've been what caused the white glow. It looked like a form of magic...somehow...but I'm not familiar with this kind, especially since I don't think it came from me" Laguna looked down in awe as her heart kept beating to a familiar tune. Synth bopped his head to the beat as she commented, "That rhythm...it sounds so familiar. Like...Funk music"? Everyone listened closely as Trollex commented, "Yeah, Synth's right. It does sound a little similar to funk music." Aggie thought about this while saying, "Weird. It does, and as the Master of All Music, I can tell." Laguna looked down at her heart again before saying, "Strange. It hasn't done that before, nor has it given off light like that one that saved Finn and me." Finn was a little confused as he asked, "Really? This is the first time it's happened"? Laguna nodded while saying, "Yeah. While the color change has happened a couple of times before, this new...magic, as Aggie described it, and the way it's beating, is all new. I'm not familiar with it at all." Soon, her heart started to return to beating like normal as it changed back to its original tela green color while Synth commented, "That was so weird. No Techno trolls' heart has ever changed color, give off some form of light, or beat to an entirely different musical beat like that before."
Stereo added, "Yeah. While we've seen different colors of hearts from many different trolls, this is the first time we've seen a heart change color right before our eyes." Aggie even mentioned, "Not even the Magical Techno trolls can do that, though their hearts do change colors to match their lover of a Magical Musical troll of different music. But this is something entirely new." She slowly approached Laguna and asked, "Laguna, do you think we need to go see someone and tell them about what's going on with your heart"? Laguna thought about it before saying, "I believe so. I would definitely want to get some answers, but who would know more about something like this"? Finn got an idea as he said, "Well, mate, since that purple color seems to represent funk music, and your heart was beating to a funk rhythm, maybe you should go see the funk trolls about this." Aggie then remembered something as she said, "Great idea, Finn. And speaking of rhythm, I know a funk troll who can help us out, and the best part is that like Trollex, she comes with a pair."
