Elsa was wandering about the forest with Blizzard, she just couldn't believe Hiccup's nerve. He was supposed to be the example to his people and yet...here he was, running away from his problems.
Then she remembered that she had kissed him. Her eyes widened as she realized that they were practically betrothed now. She remembered Sven's lecture to them all those years ago as to how they would have to marry.
Now the case was different. They both had unknowingly fallen in love with each other. She blushed slightly and Blizzard seemed to have taken note, making a slight laughing noise at her. "What're you looking at?" She asked it as it smirked at her.
Elsa knows she couldn't just abandon Hiccup now. More than her own affections, Berk was in dire need of him. Perhaps she could talk to his best friends Flynn and Gobber, maybe they could persuade Hiccup to return. There was no reason for him not to. He even flew on a Nigh Fury now, for Thor's sake. She walked forward, with a determined look.
She searched for then everywhere until she finally found them snoring away in the restaurant-like area that Hiccup, Flynn and Gobber had made out of rocks and bamboo canes. She entered it quietly and giggled silently, seeing Flynn and Gobber sleeping.
Flynn was sleeping like a little baby, his hands on his cheeks as he laid on his hammock.
Gobber's mouth was wide open and his moustache fell back onto his face as his head hung upside down from the bench they were sleeping on. Elsa crept up silently to them and lightly began trying to shake Flynn awake.
"Hey...hey, guys! Wake up!" She finally managed to shake Flynn awake. He looked at her with half open eyes and yawned.
Then his eyes drifted and looked at the Snow Wraith behind her. His eyes flung fully open as he jerked up and backed away. "ARGHHHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" His terrified screaming made Gobber jump up and scream with him, for no reason.
"YAAAAHHHHH!" Gobber yelped, hugging Flynn in fear.
Elsa stepped back in shock and she tried to calm them down. "Whoa! Whoa! It's okay! It's okay! It's just me!"
Gobber fell on his back and ran out to get water to drink.
Flynn gasped and panted, his hands on his knees as he looked at her reproachfully. "You don't scare me! It's that terrifying dragon that you got! Toothless and Treecutter are not as fearful looking as your thing. Don't ever do that again! Vikings! Ugh!"
Elsa looked at her dragon as it looked at her reproachfully. "It's okay, Blizzard. He didn't mean it. You just scared him by accident." She then turned her attention to Flynn as they walked out of the place, to get water. "So you're not...a Viking?" She asked him.
Flynn shook his head. "I'm form Corona, lady. Had to escape the place 'cause of a death penalty for some crime I didn't commit. Okay, I did...but that was eleven years ago. And I ain't neva goin back to that place! Life here is amazing!"
She nodded her head and then asked them. "Okay, listen, have you guys seen Hiccup?"
Flynn rubbed his head in tiredness and annoyance. :I thought he was with you. Last I saw him, you two were making goo-goo eyes at each other!"
Elsa nodded, blushing slightly. "We were...but now I can't find him. Where is he?"
Flynn opened his mouth to retort back but was cut off by someone's laughter coming from the tree house. They all looked up to see Grandpabbie cackling heartily at them. "Ohohoho! You won't find him here! Haha! The king...has returned."
Elsa didn't recognize him at first, but she knew what he was saying. She gasped in happiness as her face lit up. "I can't believe it! He's gone back!"
Flynn caught Gobber's eye and shrugged. "Back? What do ya mean?" He looked up for the old troll but to his surprise, he was gone and he put his hands on his hips. "Hey! What's going on here?" He raised his hand at the tree house and looked at Elsa. "Who's the troll?"
Elsa rebuffed his question as she cheerfully grasped Flynn's am and shook him, exclaiming. "Hiccup's gone back to challenge Drago!"
Flynn, who had no idea what she talking about, raised an eyebrow at her. "Who? What?"
Elsa looked at him and realized that Hiccup had never even told them that he was the prince so they probably didn't even know about Drago.
"Drago Bludvist!" She pressed her point.
"Wait. Who's got a bloody fist?" Gobber piped up in confusion.
Elsa shook her head impatiently with them. "No. its Hiccup's uncle!"
Flynn scratched his head, utterly confused. "Wait. What? The Troll's his uncle?"
Elsa was now fed up as they were wasting time. She stomped her foot on the ground, and yelled at them. "SHUT UP!" As Flynn and Gobber peered and her, slightly wary, she explained. "Hiccup has gone back to Berk to challenge his uncle to take his rightful place as the king!"
Flynn and Gobber's eyes widened as they understood what she was telling them. "Ohh!"
Elsa then sighed in relief as the two of them finally seem to be getting it.
Hiccup was flying across the frozen wasteland below that separated him the paradise that he had grown up in from his home, Berk.
They shot across the blood red sky as fast as they could. He was his kingdom's last hope. He had to honor his father. He looked up at the sky and wondered of he was watching over him from Valhalla with all the great kings of the past.
After a while of flying, he saw, what he could make out, looked like the edge of a civilization.
He steered Toothless down and landed on the top of the sixteen foot high town wall. He crept along and observed the scene.
What he saw made his eyes widen in horror and his jaw dropped. He stood up and watched with sad eyes as he looked at Berk, where he had played and goofed around so much was in ruins with broken down buildings, burnt houses and giant shards of ice stuck up in various areas.
Not a single person could be seen in sight, besides the Berserkers, whom Elsa had told him were now Drago's personal guards. He looked around and saw the castle in the distance. He clenched his teeth and seethed with anger at how far his uncle had let Berk fall. As he stood there, he heard the flapping of wings and someone called out his name.
"Hiccup! Wait up!" He turned around to see Elsa jumping down from her snow wraith and walking over to him with a sad look on her face. The wind blew hard at them as a storm was approaching.
"It's awful, isn't it?" She asked him, putting her head on his shoulder. He sighed. "I didn't wanna believe you..."
She gave him a kiss on his cheek and looked at him curiously. "What made you come back?"
"I finally got some sense knocked into me...and I've got the bump to prove it." Hiccup joked as he then gazed back at his ruined homeland. "And besides, if I don't fight for my home, who will?"
Elsa held his hand as she smiled lovingly at him. "I will."
Hiccup smiled, happy to have a friend like her as he then kissed her on the forehead. "It's gonna be dangerous..."
Elsa was reminded of him stupidly showing off to her and Sven back at the dragon graveyard all those years ago. She chuckled and raised her eyebrows at him. "Danger? HA! I laugh in the face of danger! Hahaha!" She teased him.
As she laughed, they head as voice behind them. "I see nothing funny about this."
Hiccup spun around to see Flynn standing there with his hands crossed. Gobber was trying to get off Grump as Hiccup hugged his two best friends. "Flynn! Gobber! What're you guys doing here?
Gobber took of his helmet and bowed onto one knee in respect. "At your service, my liege."
Flynn rolled his eyes at Gobber and patted Toothless's head as the dragon welcomed him. He then squinted his eyes and gazed out over the ruins of Berk. "Ugh. We're gonna fight yer uncle for this...?"
Hiccup chuckled and nodded. "I know it looks bad. It's seen better days. But this is my home."
Flynn gave the horizon of Berk a disgusted look and then whispered to Elsa. "Talk about a fixer upper..." He then turned back to Hiccup. "Well, Hic, we're friends and if it's important to ya, we're with ya till the end of the line."
Hiccup smiled at them and then gazed back over to the castle as the wind blew harder.
They were all creeping along the wall, where there were no guards, so they could get to the castle without any enough, all of them were close enough to the castle. Hiccup and the others peered over the edge of the wall.
The whole palace yard was filled with watchful Berserkers. Some of them seemed to be very alert while others stood there, comparing bicep's Blizzard began to growl silently as it watched them as Elsa gestured to her to stand down.
Flynn started to nervously shiver. "Urgh. The Berserker clan. I hate Berserkers."
Elsa raised an eyebrow at him as Hiccup quickly elaborated to her that he had an run in with the chief of the rogue tribe, Dagur a few years back, on one of his and Hiccup's raids. It didn't end well. Flynn nudged Hiccup as they eyed the fellows below. "So...what's the plan to get past these guys, Hic?"
Hiccup didn't shift his gaze as he whispered back. "Live Bait..."
Flynn nodded in appreciation first. "Yeah, okay great ide-" he then suddenly got the gist of the plan and looked at Hiccup incredulously. "Waddya mean live bait?"
Hiccup looked at him reproachfully. "Look down there, Flynn. They've got your face plastered on all the walls with a wanted sign. You're the only one of us who can draw them away. C'mon, guys. You need to create a diversion."
Flynn crossed his arms at him. "Waddya want me to do?"
Hiccup chuckled. "Just give em your charming smolder and they'll fall in love with ya."
Flynn rolled his eyes at him. "And waddya want me to do if that doesn't work!? Dress Gobber in drag and do the hula?"
Hiccup just smiled and Flynn wishes he kept his mouth shut.
Flynn shook his head disapprovingly at hiccup as he crept along with Gobber towards the gates. He held Gobber in a false pair of handcuffs and dressed him up in a lady costume to be eye catching enough. Flynn sighed and began singing.
"HUOA! are you are hungry for a big and fat juicy treat, kill my Gobber buddy here, because he's a treat! My dragon says it tastes good all you have to do is get you ready? For the big pig! Because he's the big pig! You can be a great pig too! OI!" He then saw the guards, dozens of them, rushing after him, holding up his wanted poster. He spun around, freed Gobber and sprinted away, screaming for his life, as his and Gobber's dragon came and rescued them.
