Chapter 11
Fred POV
This wasn't right.
He should be the one stuck 6 feet under, not Percy.
The funeral was over very quickly, and Fred didn't feel a single thing throughout the entire thing.
All he felt was numbness, he assumed that's how a lot of his family was feeling too.
Bill looked like he was going to break down any second, and if not for Fleur, Fred didn't that he'd have made it through the ceremony.
They had by some miracle tracked down Percy's girlfriend Audrey who had been in hiding, thanks to her being a Muggleborn.
Ginny had her head buried in Harry's shoulder for almost the entirety of the funeral, with Harry not fairing much better.
A similar scene was seen between Ron and Hermione.
Their mother and father were both in hysterics, and Fred didn't think they'd ever recover.
George was on Fred's left with Charlie on his right.
As the funeral ended and everyone filed out, the only people who remained were Fed, and George Weasley with their family having already made their way back to the Burrow.
Once everyone exept his twin were gone Fred collapsed to his knees besides the newly dug grave.
"This is all my fault Georgie." Fred whimpered.
"No, it isn't." George had tears streaming down his face as he knelt next to Fred.
"Percy saved you, and it would be tarnish to his memory to blame yourself, he wouldn't want that." George put one hand on his brothers shoulder.
"Come on. Let's get back to the Burrow, everyone's going to be waiting for us."
All Fred could do was nod, still numb, as George lead him back home to the Burrow.
