Edward Gilligan is a possum and is the Chief Inspector of the Montpelier Police Department; Both he and his parents moved to America from Nelson, New Zealand when he was a teenager. He's knows everything about the police since he is 55 years old. He so loved by the community of Montpelier, that people want him to take over Daniel as the next Police Chief. He works alongside the two other Inspectors of the department.

Thomas Harroway is a ferret and is the second Inspector of the department, he's quite young (In fact, he's 26 years old) but he knows about the law, but sometimes he could be quite an idiot. Unlike Edward, Thomas grew up in Montpelier ever since he was a baby. The second Inspector is of course, Carmelita, but this chapter isn't about her, this is about the other two.

November 15th, 2015 (The day after Carmelita Demi's birthday)

Montpelier Police Department

"Chief Inspector Gilligan, Inspector Harroway, Chief Rosco would like to speak to you" The Receptionist spoke over the intercom."

"What does he want now?" questioned the young ferret Inspector, "I guess he can't enough of the two of us doing so well with all the crooks we've been catching."

"Daniel would never call you up for your arrests" Said the Kiwi possum, "He's always called me up to tell me how well I've been doing my job for 24 years and my chance of being promoted the new Chief of this department would be fantastic, you on the other hand, I think the last time he called you up was to tell you to go and buy a new coffee machine after the old one broke."

The two walked in Daniel's room and were surprised to hear what he was going to say.

"Gilligan, Harroway." Daniel said to the Inspector and Chief Inspector, "As you know, yesterday was Inspector Fox and her Twin Sister's birthday so I let her have the 3 days off, so after today, she will be back and she better be happy to see the two finish some of the cases she was meant to do during her days off, especially you Harroway. Now I'm certain that with you Gilligan, you have completed one, right?"

"Actually sir." Edward replied, "I've done 4 cases during the span of 2 days. Meanwhile Harroway did only 1 during the span of not just yesterday, but also the day before that and the day before that. I was about to tell him to do the case until I actually realised that the case was actually used for the narcotics division, so that means that Thomas has done none."

Daniel looked surprised, "I was wondering where that narcotics case went to. And why the narcotics division was doing a job at the museum because of a stolen Egyptian vase instead of a drug bust at a meth lab, but due to that you have done no cases during all this, I've decided to make you do a case with not only Gilligan but also a Detective that's being sent here from the UK by Interpol. This case is quite simple, you need to find out about the whereabouts of a murderer who is currently hiding in an abandoned house just outside the city limits."

"OK sir." Thomas said, starting to feel scared, he was terrified of criminals that were arrested of murder and anything close to blood would make him faint.

The two Inspectors went down to the cafeteria to have their lunch until a woman walked up to their table.

"Hello, are you two Edward Thomas?" Said the woman in a British accent.

"Yes, we are, you must be the British Detective Interpol sent right?" Edward answered.

"That's right." The British Detective replied, "The names Sarah Brendhart, I've been sent here to do a job about a murderer right?"

"That's right." The New Zealander Possum said, "I know about this crook and all the awful, awful things he has done. Thomas here on the other hand, he's forced to do this since he's done no cases during the 3 days Inspector Fox was off for."

"Wait, Inspector Fox. You mean Carmelita?" Sarah was surprised.

"Yeah." Edward said, "I know you work with Interpol when Carmelita used to work there, I kinda guessing why they sent you here."

"Seems like it. So, when are we heading out to catch this crook?" Sarah questioned.

"After lunch break." Edward replied, "So that means 8 minutes time."

After lunch ended, Edward, Thomas Sarah went off to the abandoned area where the supposed murderer was hiding. Thomas was getting more and more scared; Edward was more focused on catching the crook while Sarah was starting to feel scared. As they entered the house, they found that the corridors had blood stains everywhere.

"I think I'm gonna be sick." Thomas blurted out covering his mouth.

"Come on Harroway." Said Edward bluntly, "You too, Brendhart."

The 3 walked to a room that had a door completely coated in blood, when they opened it, there were blood and guts everywhere, Thomas wouldn't hold it any longer and threw up.

"Harroway, you OK?" Edward questioned.

"No." Thomas replied placing his hand over his mouth and stomach until he pointed at a figure. "But is he."

A shadowy figure was halfway out the window until he noticed the 3 cops put their attention on him and bailed it quickly.

"Who was that?" Sarah asked.

"The criminal we were supposed to be after, he calls himself 'The Hunter'." Answered Edward, "He was once a member of a group of criminals known as 'The Hunters', that was when he used to be known as 'The Rouge Wolf', but after killing the leader of the group, both Wolf and the 2 other members, Gratius Barmitchicov White and Frank Grizlay separated. There was one man that wanted to stop them, and that person seems to know who this Hunter guy is."

"Could you tell me more?" Sarah was wanting to know more.

Edward just denied, "I'm sorry but we have to get Harroway back to the department to get checked up and inform Chief Rosco about the murderer running away but now we know who it is."

The 3 went off back to the Police Department, Daniel was disappointed with the crook got away, but was happy that Thomas was able to finally work on a case. Harroway returned to his office to see, Sarah sitting in his seat.

"I gotta say, you're actually quite cute." Sarah started asking him.

"Uh, thanks" Thomas was confused.

"Would you mind if we would go on a date in the near future?" Sarah asked.

"I can't, I gotta meet Ross when I clock out." Thomas replied.

"Who's Ross?" Sarah questioned.

"He's my boyfriend." The young ferret answered, making Sarah sad. "It's been 6 months since we were together and we're planning to go to a fancy restaurant tonight. But hey, if you wanna ask someone out, why not ask my brother, Donovan out, he's single and he will love to see you."

Sarah agreed and as she walked out, she said goodbye to Thomas and left the building.
