Part 3.
The next day
'' Hey Ryan, are you up for a talk?'' Brittany asks as she knocks on Alex's bedroom door, Ryan looks up nervously biting his lip and nods his head.
'' Yes I am Mrs Lo..'' He cuts himself off smiling sheepishly as Brittany raises an eyebrow and chuckles. '' Sorry, Brittany.''
Brittany shoots him a wink and turns to her sons. '' The both of you can join, Val is already downstairs too.'' She skips the part telling them that they already explained everything to Val and asked her if she is okay with Ryan living with them and turns on her heels walking back down the stairs, she walks into the kitchen smiling as she watches her wife place four cups of hot chocolate and two cups of coffee on the table and wraps her arms around her from behind. '' Ready for the talk babe?''
Santana nods her head turning her head to look at her and smiles lovingly. '' Yeah I am, how do you think he will react?''
Brittany shrugs her shoulders and glances at the boys as they walk into the kitchen joining Val at the table. '' No idea, let's find out.''
Santana smiles joining her wife at the table and they both sit down facing their kids, Brittany folds her hands on the table after taking a sip of her coffee and looks at the boys. '' Alright…''
Ryan nervously bites his lip and clears his throat. '' Sorry to interrupt Brittany but I just wanted to say that I will get out of your hairs soon, I really don't want to intrude on your family time and I really appreciate that you led me stay over last night and I don't know how to thank you for helping me get away from my parents.''
Brittany closes her mouth and bites her lip running a hand through her hair, Santana smiles sadly squeezing her wife's thigh under the table and looks at Ryan. '' Where would you go Ryan?''
Ryan shrugs his shoulders and sighs. '' I don't know yet, my parents made it clear that I don't have to come back for like forever so that is out of question but I am sure that I will find something.''
'' Did they contact you again?'' Brittany asks frowning as she hears the crack in his voice, Ryan nods his head and sighs.
'' Yeah they texted me that I don't have to come back as long as I am dating Alex and I am not planning on breaking up with him just because they are forcing me to choose.''
'' Do you have any family members in LA?'' Santana asks curiously, Ryan shakes his head and smiles sadly.
'' No they all live further away and they are just as religious as my parents are.'' Ryan shrugs his shoulders and sighs. '' I will find a solution soon.''
'' Mom, mami.'' Alex starts softly, Brittany turns to look at him and smiles reassuringly.
'' Can I talk first happy?'' She turns to Ryan as Alex nods his head and smiles. '' What if we already found a solution?''
'' What do you mean?'' Ryan asks confused, Brittany turns to her wife and raises an eyebrow. Santana smiles grabbing her hand and squeezes it softly.
'' Go ahead babe.''
Brittany nods her head keeping their hands intertwined and turns to Ryan. '' Do you know why I didn't hesitate to bring you home after everything that happened yesterday?'' She smiles as he shakes his head tilting his head in confusion and bites her lip smiling slightly. '' I didn't hesitate because I saw the way you look at my son, I can see the love you feel for him and it is the same look I get from my wife and I am sure she gets it from me too.''
'' I really do love him.'' Ryan murmurs softly intertwining his hand with Alex's under the table, Santana watches both boys and smiles lovingly.
'' Brittany is right I saw it too and that is why it was so easy to agree to the idea that popped into her head.'' She leans forward leaning her right arm on the table keeping her left one intertwined with her wife's and looks at Ryan smiling slightly. '' There is one thing you need to know about her, when she gets an idea it isn't just something that entered her mind it is also coming from heart too.''
Brittany nods her head in agreement and looks at Ryan smiling as she sees the confusion in his hazel orbs. '' We know that you don't know us that well yet but we don't want to see you leave her with no where to go Ryan, if you want and if you are okay with it yourself you are more than welcome to stay here with us.''
Alex and Nico both gasp softly a big smile slowly forming on both of their faces as they realize what their parents are trying to say and simultaneously turn to look at Ryan, Ryan bites his lip nervously and gulps. '' I appreciate the offer Mrs and Mrs Lopez but I don't want to be a burden.''
'' I thought we told you to call us by our first names Ryan.'' Santana mutters smiling teasingly, she leans back looking at him and smiles kindly. '' You won't be a burden and we have place enough for you here, you can stay with Alex if you want but you can also get an own room we still have four guest rooms up there and one of them can be yours.''
Brittany nods her head in agreement and smiles. '' I will start building our pool shed into a small place and you are more than welcome to move in there as soon as it's finished, like San just said we have a huge ass house and we would love to have you here.''
'' I- I don't know what to say.'' Ryan murmurs tearfully, he turns to look at the teens sitting near him and bites his lip. '' You already have three kids I am sure you already have your hands full and the both of you also work beside raising them, I know that I am not easy my parents told me that more times than once yesterday and I don't want to be the reason for stress in your family.''
'' Hey do me a favor and don't think about all the things your parents said yesterday okay?'' Brittany says softly, she stands up letting go of her wife's hand and walks over to Ryan. She crouches down in front of him placing her hands on his legs and dips her head down to lock eyes with him. '' We wouldn't offer you this if we thought that it would stress any of us out, we are sure that you will fit right in and I really don't want to see my sons boyfriend walking around trying to find a place to stay when we have more than enough place here for you.''
Ryan gazes into her bright blue orbs and bites his lip as he sees the sincerity shining brightly back at him. '' I will pay you back somehow.''
'' You can by keeping our son happy and finishing high school with good grades.'' Santana says joining her wife in front of him, she looks at him smiling kindly and winks as they lock eyes. '' Don't worry about money for now okay? We will be more than okay and we will love the idea of having you around.''
'' Mami and mommy are right Ryan, we hang out a lot outside of school and you were always okay with me joining because mi Hermano's picked me up after school, now we can hang out around the house and we can have more sleepovers.'' Val says smiling brightly.
Ryan turns to his boyfriend and bites his lip. '' What do you think babe?''
'' I love the idea of having you around more and I don't like the idea of watching you walk out of the house knowing you have nowhere to go.'' Alex says softly
Nico nods his head in agreement and reaches out patting Ryan's back. '' You know that I see you as my brother too Ry, I love the idea of having you around.''
Ryan nods his head and turns back to the women in front of him. '' A-are you really sure?'' He asks softly, Brittany nods her head and smiles kindly.
'' We are.''
Ryan nods his head and gulps. '' I would love to stay here, thank you so much.'' He murmurs tearfully, Brittany stands up pulling her wife up with her and ruffles his hair smirking as he chuckles.
'' No need to thank us bud.''
Alex squeals loudly jumping up and tackles his mothers in a hug. '' Thank you, thank you, thank you!''
Santana laughs hugging him back and kisses his cheek. '' No need to thank us mijo, we told you that we would find a solution.''
Brittany smiles and kisses Alex's head. '' Yeah no need to thank us happy.''
Nico smiles also standing up after bro hugging Ryan and walks over to his parents, he kisses their cheeks as soon as Alex let them go and hugs them. '' The both of you are amazing, you know that?''
'' Eh we try.'' Santana murmurs smiling slightly, Nico laughs as she wipes imaginary dust of off her shoulders and shakes his head pushing her softly.
'' And so conceited!'' He pulls back leaning against the kitchen counter and bites his lip. '' But what will happen with school? Won't Ryan need his parents for certain things like teacher talks?''
Brittany smiles sadly as she sees Ryan's mood immediately sadden as soon as he hears about that and nods her head. '' He does but thanks to our family, he doesn't have to see them unless he wants to.''
'' What do you mean?'' Ryan, Alex and Nico ask in unison while Val just leans back smiling slightly, Brittany leans against the kitchen counter and shrugs.
'' I knew that if we told Ryan that he could stay with us that his parents always could just call the police and tell them about us kidnapping him, so I called our family lawyer and explained the problem to her.''
'' You mean aunt Q?'' Alex asks raising an eyebrow, Santana nods her head and chuckles.
'' Yes she means aunt Q.''
'' What did she do?'' Nico asks curiously.
Brittany smiles walking over to her bag and takes out a stack of papers, she places them in front of Ryan and places her hand on top of it looking him in the eyes. '' Our best friends Quinn and Puck visited your parents, Quinn being a lawyer and Puck looking like a damn security guard kinda convinced them to let them in and to talk about everything.''
She smiles sadly as Ryan glances at the papers and sighs. '' Quinn tried to calm them down and gave them a speech about that being gay isn't a choice but thanks to their religion they wouldn't listen.''
'' Yeah I know, I already gave up on trying the second I received their text.'' Ryan murmurs sadly, Brittany nods her head and sighs.
'' I know and I am sorry, but.'' She taps her finger on the stack of papers and bites her lip. '' Would you like to try to sit and talk with them once more?''
Ryan immediately shakes his head and sniffles. '' No they made their choice and they will never accept me for who I am, I will also never change myself just because my parents hate the real me.''
Brittany crouches down in front of him and hold out the papers for him. '' Will you be okay when Santana and I sign this? Normally things like this will go by court but Quinn managed to convince the judge to let it go through by paper, he only needs your signature to be sure that you agree too.''
Ryan takes the papers from her and reads the top gasping softly as he sees a form to request legal guardianship, he looks up at Brittany in shock as he sees his parents signature already at the bottom and bites his lip. '' Are you seriously? Like I knew that they would do this if it was a chance, but are you sure the both of you want to take all responsibility for me?''
Brittany stands up smiling as her wife joins her in front of Ryan and nods her head. '' We are Ryan.''
'' I-I…'' Ryan shakes his head and covers his face with both hands as he burst into tears, Brittany smiles sadly and reaches out pulling him up and into a hug. '' This is too much.'' Ryan mutters softly.
Santana rubs his back and shakes her head. '' No this is exactly what we want and you deserve Ryan, I know that the shit that went down with your parents still hurt but this way you have a place to stay and you won't see them ever again if you don't want to.''
Ryan pulls back wiping away his tears and sniffles. '' What did I do to deserve you?''
'' Making our son happy.''
'' If I had a dime every time someone asked me that, I would be a billionaire by now.'' Santana and Brittany murmurs in unison, Brittany smiles as he chuckles tearfully and reaches out squeezing his arm. '' And yeah San is right, you make Alex happy that is more than enough of a reason for us.''
Brittany grabs the pen off of the kitchen counter and turns the stack of paper towards her, she quickly signs the forms she needs and glances at Ryan as she holds the pen out for her wife. '' Now you don't have to worry about your parents needing to go to school for any talks, we will take that over and we will also make sure that you have enough time to learn to get into a good college.''
'' I really don't know how to pay you back for all of this.'' Ryan murmurs tearfully as soon as Santana signed the papers, he turns the stack towards him and skims through it until he reaches the paper he needs to sign.
'' What does all of this mean mom?'' Alex asks as he watches his boyfriend sign something, Brittany looks at the kids and smiles slightly.
'' This means that as soon as these papers are through, your mami and I are Ryan's legal guardians. We will take over most things a parent normally does and he can continue live his life but now without his homophobic parents.''
'' Are you serious?'' Alex asks shocked, Santana nods her head and smiles.
'' You know your mom right? If she has something in mind she always manages to make it happen within a day.''
'' God you are amazing.'' Alex breaths out smiling brightly, Ryan nods his head in agreement and sniffles.
'' Thank you so much for offering me all of this.''
'' No need to thank us Ryan.'' Santana says smiling kindly, Brittany nods her head in agreement and smiles.
'' Any more questions?'' She smiles as their kids and Ryan shake their heads and leans against the kitchen counter pulling her wife in her arms. '' Alright I have one more topic, sleeping arrangements.''
Ryan turns to his boyfriend whispering something in his ear and turns back to both women as soon as he nods his head. '' I would like to take one of the guest rooms, I love the idea of sleeping in the same room with Alex but I think us both having our own room and a chance to have some time for us will be good too.''
Brittany nods her head and smiles kindly. '' You can take the guest room right next to Alex's, that way the three of you have your rooms right beside each other.''
Ryan smiles brightly and nods his head. '' That sounds amazing.'' He frowns his smile faltering as he realizes something and gulps. '' I don't have a bed.''
Santana smiles walking over to him and squeezes his shoulder. '' There is a bed and closet in there that can be all yours, or we can go shopping and will make your room yours.''
'' I don't want you to buy things for me though.'' Ryan murmurs frowning sadly. '' You barely know me and you already did so much.''
'' Hey Ryan?'' Brittany asks softly, she smiles as he looks up at her and winks. '' Let that be our problem okay? We want you to feel well here, so I would say get ready we will go shopping.''
'' Mom and Mami are right, it's shopping time babe.'' Alex says jumping up with a bright smile, Nico nods his head in agreement and walks up to his best friend.
'' Yeah, come on Ry.''
'' Shopping!'' Val squeaks out smiling brightly.
Santana pulls Ryan up as she sees the uncertainty in his eyes and smiles reassuringly. '' Do you want to pay us back?'' She asks softly knowing he won't take anything when he doesn't get the feeling that he can pay them back somehow, she smiles as he nods his head and tilts her head. '' Can you cook?''
'' Yeah, why?'' Ryan asks confused, Brittany smiles walking over to them knowing what her wife tries to do and squeezes Ryan's arm.
'' You can cook us dinner a few times and maybe help a bit our around the house, you can pay us back with that alright?''
Ryan smiles brightly and nods his head. '' I definitely will, thank you so much.''
Santana shakes her head and smiles kindly. '' Stop thanking us Ryan, now go get ready the mall is waiting.''
She laughs as her daughter immediately runs to Ryan pulling him out of the room and watches their boys follow them talk excitedly about Ryan moving in with them, she turns to look at her wife and smiles lovingly. '' We made the best decision, mi amor.''
Brittany nods her head in agreement and bites her lip. '' Yeah I think we did too babe.''
Santana turns around and wraps her arms around her shoulders, she leans up on her tiptoes and kisses her softly. '' You are amazing, you know that?''
Brittany shakes her head pulling her closer and pecks her on the lips, she leans their foreheads together gazing into her wife's brown orbs and sighs softly. '' We both are, ready for the shopping trip?''
Santana hums and chuckles softly. '' Yeah we need some stuff too I already made a checklist and saved it to both of our phones.''
Brittany chuckles nodding her head and leans down kissing her again, she pulls her closer slipping her hand under the shirt she wears and hums softly as she feels the tip of her tongue slide over her bottom lip.
She slightly opens her mouth tilting her head to deepen the kiss and turns them around so her back is facing the kitchen entrance, Santana smiles into the kiss breathing out a moan as she feels her wife's piercing slide against the roof of her mouth and cups the back of her neck slowly pulling back as air becomes necessary and footsteps thunder down the stairs.
Brittany smiles pecking her on the lips once more and turns around as the footsteps come closer, she looks at their kids and Ryan as they walk into the kitchen slipping their jackets on and clears her throat. '' Ready?''
She pulls her wife out of the kitchen as they nod their heads and looks over her shoulder smirking. '' Let's go then.''
