Battlestar Thor

Chapter 12

"I must tell you that we chose to leave the fleet for a reason," said Kit "We are more than Sekhmet"

"How do you mean more than?" said Kurt and the others were getting nervous

"We are, what you may call changelings," said Mace

"Changelings?" required Tomoe Gazen

"Yes, it started when this Ancient scientist" started Kit

"Janus?" replied Carl Hoffman

"Yes, he experimented on my people to correct what the Goa'uld did to make us their Jaffa, the machines he put us in did cure us but they may take a few days to work. What it did to these children and the few adults in these pods, changed our DNA and we became changelings" finished Kit "this is what affected us to become changelings and the reason we were chosen by our leaders, the rest of the Sekhmet population came out as normal with no side effects,"

"So it is only those in the pods that can change into anything you want?" asked an excited Karl Strauss

"Yes, but it is bad for our clothes," said Maze

"Fascinating," said Tamar Pingyang "we need to check this out"

"Only if the Sekhmet people want to, remember! They have feelings just as much as we do" said Lozen

"Yes ma'am, I was thinking of making experimental clothes and armor for them that won't get destroyed," said Tamar

"Interesting?" said Maze

"Precisely," said Tamer

"Let us carry on," said Kurt "Janus is one of the brightest minds of the Ancients scientists they had, and they were the ancestors of all humans in this galaxy, and what I am told many more. He has also built a time machine that we know of and he had used it to build and gather supplies to upgrade this space station and one of their cityships, we know he went back in time of the destruction of your colonies to start these upgrades and found you and the children"

"Time machine! so why didn't he stopped the attacks?" asked Price "and where is it now?"

"We can not tell you why, as far as I know in this time period, we know there is one of these machines in their cityship called Atlantis that is in another galaxy," said Kurt "as for your other question, from what we have learned from his message he left Commander, it was due to the way your leader's reaction towards sentient life forms. You see Commander, this galaxy is full of intelligence and most of them are very dangerous, as you can see with the Sekhmet sitting beside you, so how would you think your people would act or do if they ever meet the Sekhmet? Or even one of the thousands of other life forms" said Kurt and the commander just lowered his head, he knew they would try to conquer or destroy them "My Earth was home to these Ancients tens of millions of years ago and we humans are a by-product of one of their experiments, or as you might say! Creation of their greed to try and keep their empire going, they fail and from their ashes! We humans grew with their and the colonial DNA,"

"Colonial DNA?" queried Price

"OH! You might not have been told yet! one hundred and fifty thousand years ago, the Commander of the Battlestar Galactica arrived at earth after destroying the Cylon ability to resurrect"

"The Galactica! Yes Commander Bill Adama, good man. So he survived?"

"Yes, the newly promoted Admiral led a fleet of refugees to our earth, after some thought they decided to restart a new society, without their technology. The survivors settled on earth and then sent all of their ships and the fleet into our sun, Now it is my turn to tell you what happen to the Amazon and Bismark" said Kurt, then Kurt and Lozen told the story of how they came to this timeline and what they found. When they were finished, Commander Richard Price asked

"So what are we going to do now?'

"That is a very good question Commander, there are about six hundred adults in this cityship and the rest are children, in which we have the next problem. We also found fifty million human embryos that are alive and well in the stasis chambers in Olympus Medical storage area's, what we had learned from Olympus computers is that these were going to be used as experiments by the Ancients three hundred thousand years ago to find a cure for the plague that was wiping them out," said Kurt

"We have found that these embryos are not clones of the Ancients, but humans from the people they brought to Kobol. The problem we facing is that there are fifty million of them and not enough adults to rise them," said Doctor Adolph Maze

"Let me get this straight, you want us adults to try and raise fifty million children?" questioned Price

"Not straight away, can't be done, But I was thinking more like in batches until your children are old enough to help raise them," said Adolph

"Hold up, you want to impregnate our females with these embryos?" said Kit,

"No! By all means, no, the stasis tubes they are in can grow them up to the stage of birth, then it is the first five years of life where I am asking help to look after them," said Adolph

"Well the youngest of the Colonial children are now at an age where they could look after children," said Colonel Holliday

"It is the same with our younglings," said Mace

"If they all agree, and it doesn't interfere with their continuing schooling," said Kurt

"And if they do agree, we can have those over ten to look after one, fourteen and over can look after two," said Lozen

"That should help us to add 140 thousand to the colonies every five years," said Doctor Adolph Maze

"We do have more ships than people at the moment and most of these are children, so we need to keep out of sight of the general population of the galaxy at hand and try to build up our own population so we can defend our homeworlds before any other we may come across. So we are planning to recolonize Kobol and using Olympus as Kobol's first city and capital of the planet, but we will still keep out, and any other technology we come across. We will make small excursion to worlds that Janus told us about, including the new home of the Sekhmet to find the extra people we need," said Kurt

"That sounds like a great idea Captain, but how would you go about selecting the people we need to start this new colony if you plan on keeping it a secret?" asked Price

"What we are planning is very simple commander, in the life of many worlds, there is a group that is often forgotten and left to defend for themselves. These are the orphan and forgotten children, similar to what happened to your children, we plan to secretly land on these human worlds and set up places where we can gather these orphan children together and give them a home and an education on their homeworld, or here on Kobol," said Tomoe Gazen

"We will teach them of the universe around them, and the technology of the Asgard and the Ancients," said Tamar Pingyang

"And any other technology we come across" replied Karl Strauss

"off course Karl," said Tamar with a bit of twinkle in her eye, Kurt smile, some of his single crew members were already coming together, he was planning that to happen. "we worked out that the very young children can and will learn more about new technology far quicker than adults, and in a space of twenty years, we will have new teachers who understand and can teach this technology to a new population better than us."

"So who is going to lead this new colony?" asked Richard "I don't know about the rest of you, but I believe that the Captain is better qualified as they know what we are facing, I am only a school teacher and will be needed to teach the young ones"

Everyone agreed, Kurt will be the leader of the colony, with Lozen as his second until elections are held. "Okay then Commander, you will be my head minister for all our future schools" replied Kurt

"Yes sir," said Richard

"Kit and mace, as the only Sekhmet adults! will you be in charge of all the Sekhmet" said Kurt and the two bow their heads "first step is to hire some workers to work on the farms and I may have an idea, Lozen and I have been reading Janus reports about the worlds around Kobol and the colonies since the Cylons destroyed them, there are a few farming and industrial worlds close by that the population is controlled by a very minor female Goa'uld by the name of Shashti, we need to get rid of her first,"

"Typical Goa'uld," said Mace

"For you Colonials, the Goa'uld usually attack a human world for fresh slaves to make into Jaffa or new hosts so these worlds don't get to advance to turn the table on them," said Kit

Yes, and we need to lay a trap for her and take her out so she can't do it to us," said Lozen "Shashti is so minor and was never mentioned during the years of the SGC and she is well inside the forbidden area so she won't get any help from the system Lords,"

"But if she gets too big, she may attack us or bring in the system lords," said Kurt

"So it will be best to rid this section of space of any Goa'uld and send a message to these system lords," said Colonel Holliday

"We are planning is to take these four worlds away from her," she held up her hand to stop anyone from interrupting "before you say anything, let me finish' and they nodded "Our probes have brought back information that Shashti only has four planets under her rule and about fifty of the old Cheops class warships in her fleet, they are the smaller variant of the much larger Ha'tak that our two battlecruisers were built to handle," and a hologram of the two different class of ships appeared.

The world I want to target is this one" said Kurt as a hologram appeared "it is Shashti food world and its civilization are mostly farmers and have not been made into Jaffa yet, the probes counted at least 20 million people living there and should be a good start to our population,"

Lozen then continued "but the first thing we need to do is to bring all of our the medical team together," said Doctor Adolph Maze to Tomoe Gazen "We need to research what our Tretonin and the cure Janus used for the Sekhmet of the reliance on symbiote's,"

"We know that the drug SGC used is called Tretonin," said Kurt, and for the benefit of the others "Tretonin is a substance that will be created by the Pangarans in 500 years time to replicate the effects of perfect health in humans by a Goa'uld symbiote. In the beginning, the drug was created by utilizing the prim'ta of a Goa'uld Queen and when it was injected into humans, in its original form, the drug suppresses the natural human immune system, but they found that it requires daily injections by the Jaffa. However, this was later refined by the Tok'ra to replace the need for a symbiote completely.

"Janus however has created something completely different and looking at his notes, these injections are made up of Nanobots," Doctor Adolph Maze

"So if we can develop enough of both drugs, we can move in and capture a few of Shashti Jaffa's and give them a choice to be free or die with their queen," said Mace.

"Close enough, I would like to see if his drug can have the host reject the symbiote without harming the host as well," said Lozen

"That maybe a good idea, but it will be hard to capture Shashti alive," said Kurt

"She is only a minor Goa'uld and in the forbidden zone, she will not be missed," said Kit as he ran a claw across her neck.

"If she looks like as if she going to escape, take her out as I don't want any system lords coming after her," finished Kurt. A few hours later and the meeting was over, it was time for everyone to begin their new jobs and prepare to attack Shashti.

The children of both Colonials and Sekhmet were awoken from their stasis pods to begun their new life in the cityship of Olympus. Their schooling and training began almost a week later. Everyone was amazed at just how quickly these children began to understand the new technology of the Ancients, mine you, by the time the Amazon and Bismark left their timeline, the Stargate program was studying these same technologies as well, but it was all theory, that is until now.
