Having witnessed images of the Divine Beasts under the control of Calamity Ganon, the party hurried to the Champions, praying it was not too late. To the East of Hyrule, preparations to contend with Calamity Ganon were under way. Vah Ruta and Vah Rudania stood at the ready, as monsters pressed in from all sides. The monsters threatened to overwhelm them, but Mipha and Daruk battled relentlessly within their Divine Beasts. Meanwhile, Cheetah and the others began to cut a path directly into the enemy ranks.
"Haaa!" Daruk called out as he swung his blade at the fire based blight known as Fireblight Ganon as it battled against him with powerful strong blows on top of Vah Rudania. "No way, monster."
Mipha was driven to a point of exhaustion as the water based blight known as Waterblight Ganon gathered ice around its body to use as weapons. "So this is how it ends." she said.
However, before each blight could land the final blows, strange gates appeared in the air as a trident prevented Waterblight from piercing Mipha as a large Zora got between them. "No! I will not let her be taken away again!"
"It can't be…" Mipha said looking at the Zora, who turned back to her and gave her a smile the heroes would recognize. "Sidon?"
"Haaa!" a voice called out as a young goron went and blocked the blow using Daruk's protection.
"Wait...that's my power...who are you?" Daruk asked the young goron.
"Well um...don't worry about that! Point is, I'm here to help!" he said continuing to guard for Daruk.
The heroes having arrived on the battlefield were looking at the hidden footage from the Divine Beasts.
"Sidon and Yunobo?" Rainbow said.
"I get it. The little guy summoned more time portals to bring them here." Hope said as the guardian beeped in approval.
A large assault of explosive rounds soon collided with the monsters ahead, sending them flying from the force behind the shots, as a woman piloting a golden plated mech soon came into view, as her weapons were reloaded.
"Targets locked and… fire!" She yelled, her mech unloading another salvo of explosive rounds, blasting yet another group of monsters. "Allison thought I might be needed here, guess she was right!"
"Who are you?" Glimmer asked.
"The name's Reginn! New recruit for the Soldiers of Fortune!" Reginn said with a smile as she brandished her mech's sword and shield for combat. "I'll explain why I'm here later. Right now, we got our own issues!"
"Right. Mipha and Daruk have a reprieve but it won't be long before the blights start to overpower them. We need to get to them fast." Jexi said.
"You need fast? I'll give ya fast. Point me in the direction I need to go and I'm there!" Reginn smirked.
"There are lava floors around. We should rescue Mipha first, but the Malice patches are blocking the path to Vah Ruta. We'll need to clear them out before we can rescue her. And we might need to be quick, I can smell her scent fading very quickly." Cheetah said.
"Can I just blast them apart? Does that work?" Reginn would ask.
"Actually...that could work." Twilight said. "See the eyes all over the battlefield? They seem to control the malice. Destroy them and the malice should vanish."
"One round for each eye should blow them to pieces…" Reginn said, soon counting the eyes as her mech took a grounded position, as she hopped out of her mech to keep counting as it kept adding mounted launchers. "...Mhm! I can blast them all at once! Targets locked! Everybody down!" Reginn said as she ducked, the mech roaring to life as it was about to unleash the massive wave of explosives.
"Whoa! I'm glad you're on our side." Zephyr said.
With that said, the mech unleashed hell as explosive rounds shot up to the sky, before homing in on every single eye in the area, blasting them to pieces in mere seconds, dropping both Malice walls.
"Way's clear! I can get to Mipha quickly! You guys help the other one in need!" Reginn said, soon hopping in her mech after it recharged for a bit, before speeding off into Vah Ruta.
"Such strength…" Mipha groaned as she tried to fight back.
"No, Sister! You mustn't." Sidon said before looking to the new arrival. "Good. You've come at last!"
"Not who I think you were expecting but I'm here!" Reginn yelled, soon charging at Waterblight Ganon. "Hey! Over here!" She yelled, slashing her mech's sword down Waterblight Ganon's backside.
Unlike the one faced 100 years ago, this Waterblight Ganon was more in its prime, as it also had a flail for an arm. It combated with Reignn as the others arrived awhile after.
"Ah, you've made it my friends!" Sidon smiled.
"It's great to see you too, Sidon. How did you know about coming back in time to rescue Mipha?" Hope asked.
"Why, it was Lady Milla's idea of course! It was she who informed Yunobo and myself to come at this exact moment in time." Sidon said.
"Milla? So that's what she meant." Jude said.
"Heh. You never cease to amaze, Maxwell." Cheetah said.
"But...how is this…" Mipha said.
"You may find it hard to believe, but I have come from the future to save the past." Sidon said.
"Along with...us. Yeah, so sorry we couldn't tell you that before. I really felt bad about lying about that." David said.
"Ah…" Hope said as Reignn pulled back as Waterblight Ganon turned to them. "We'll explain more later. For now, lets kick this thing outta Vah Ruta!"
"Mipha, stay back and rest. We'll take things from here." Tear said.
"Thank you...all of you." Mipha said.
"Lightning Lance!" Zan called out hitting Waterblight Ganon with her spear. "It's weak to electricity!"
"Coming right up! Ziodyne!" Scott called. Cesar appeared and unleashed a massive lighting blast that staggered Ganon. "Gotta help Mipha get some health back up. Diarama!"
As Scott healed Mipha, the others continued to attack Waterblight Ganon.
"Red Lighting Magic: Fell Stinger!" Scorpia called blasting electricity from her claws.
"Spectral Thunder: Discharge Burst!" Hope said, throwing a bolt of lightning and followed up with a connective electric shock that made it detonate.
"Seidr Shell! Fire!" Reginn said, firing her own assault into the mix, as she fired extremely power packed shells, despite them not being that explosive.
Waterblight Ganon writhed in pain from the constant electrical attacks before it curled up and faded away into nothingness.
"That did it." Zan said.
"What a thrill it was to fight alongside my beloved sister." Sidon said before looking at the group. "Oh, and you as well, my friends."
"Glad to see you again, Sidon." David said.
"Come, we must rescue Daru-ngh!" Mipha said before collapsing to the ground.
"Whoa, whoa, hold up. You still haven't fully healed yet." Scott said.
"Sister, you must rest. Leave his rescue to us." Sidon said.
"Mipha, I promise we will explain everything later. But for now, we need you to stay back and rest. Don't worry. Daruk is in good hands." Belladonna said.
"Very well." Mipha said.
"Now that we have Vah Ruta back…" Francisca said as Vah Ruta cooled down the lava blocking the paths.
"Now let's get moving to Vah Rudania, double time!" Ichiro said.
The group then hurried to Vah Rudania with Sidon joining them. Daruk was fending off Fireblight Ganon's attacks with his protection.
"Stay calm, kiddo." Daruk said.
"You're right, sir! If I'm here to save you and you're saving me, then what's the point?" Yunobo said.
"That's the spirit!" Daruk said before seeing the group arrive. "Oh...haha! Now then, let's try this again from the top!"
"We're here!" Reginn said, as she lead the attack once more, bashing her shield into Fireblight Ganon to turn its attention away from Daruk and Yunobo.
"You guys made it!" Yunobo said. "It's been such a long time!"
"It sure has, Yunobo. It's great to know that you came back to save your predecessor with us." Gemini said.
As they were talking, Reginn was fighting Fireblight Ganon all by her lonesome, grunting as she was being pushed in her mech. "Hey…! Can I… get some help here?" She asked as she was sliding back some.
"We'll catch up later. Methinks we should take care of this guy first." Captain Cold said. "Stay back, Daruk. We'll handle this guy."
"Ngh…!" Reginn said as she finally shoved Fireblight Ganon back, only to be shoved on defense again as she blocked with her shield. "Damn…! This guy's just as tough as the water one!"
Reginn would soon get shoved off balance by the blight, as it swung, damaging the mech's arm holding the sword and making it inoperable.
"Ack!" Reginn said, seeing this, soon seeing Fireblight Ganon raise its sword again, as she hopped out of the mech and reached into a back compartment of it, pulling out a different sword that glowed with divine radiance, soon clashing against the blight to prevent it from completely destroying her mech. "Ngh…! Okay! Help would be appreciated now!"
"We're on it!" Gray said. "Ice Devil's...Rage!" he shouted freezing part of Fireblight Ganon's sword.
Reginn, seeing her opening, slashed at the icy part, shattering it as her mech soon radiated in a golden light, as it seemed to be undergoing self-repair.
"Drat… now I really have to keep this guy from my mech. If it gets hit even once during self-repair… well…" Reginn said, gulping at the thought.
"Guess it's time we bring that house down." Francisca said, looking to her two Articunos. "Are you two ready?"
"Yes." Galarian Articuno said as the Kantonian one shook its head.
"Alright. Here we go!" Francisca said as she initiated Dual Burst.
"She was able to use Burst with both of them? Since when?" Belladonna asked.
"Since our last visit to Paris." Flamberge said.
Fransisca spread her wings and aimed at Fireblight, who charged straight at her.
"Here goes. Blizzard!" Francisca said as she started flapping her twin sets of wings, blowing cold air at Fireblight Ganon. Fireblight Ganon slowly started to freeze a bit as it started to gather energy into its body.
"He's gonna blow!" Indigo warned.
"Everybody! Behind me and Lord Daruk!" Yunobo said as they all gathered around the two Gorons.
"Stop panicking." Francisca said. "It'll be fine." she said freezing it solid with just her glare as it soon cracked with the ice and Fireblight Ganon faded to nothing. "It is done." she said as she soon reverted.
"Whoa… That was so amazing!" Yunobo said.
"You'd be amazed at how much stronger we've gotten since we last met." Riku said.
"I don't need to, I can plainly see it!" Yunobo said.
"Nevertheless, the deed is done. You little guys really came through, we owe you our thanks!" Daruk said, slapping Link. "And Yunobo, wasn't it? I owe you some thanks too. Without your help, I'd've been in deep trouble. Now then...what's happened with the castle?"
"Well, the thing is…" David said.
"Let's just give it to them straight." Cheetah said. "Calamity Ganon has been revived and a large number of guardians and monsters swarm the place."
"I see...so that's it." Daruk said. "If that's the case...I'll try and work on thinning their numbers with good old Rudania."
"Okay, my mech's repaired and ready to go again. What else do I need to do? Since Siege isn't here to command me." Reginn asked.
"We need to rescue Urbosa and Revali before we do anything else. Let's get moving. We don't know how much longer they'll last." Cheetah said.
"Hopefully, if Mipha and Daruk got help here...maybe they did too." Jexi said.
"Yeah...but we should still hurry. Those other two blights...are not so easy." Hope said.
