Hey y'all glad so many people are sticking around so far. Kind of crazy I'm 40K words in. I hope you continue to stick around I've just kind of noticed people space there dialogue kinda embarrassed I never noticed but I will start doing the same hopefully that makes it easier to read. Picking up right after last chapter
"Naruto-kun are you sure your parents wouldn't mind if I stay?" Karin asked as they walked through Konoha holding hands.
"Of course not my dad is practically the most laid back person in the world, and my mom will love you once she gets to know ya." Naruto said with a grin trying to ease all the girls fears.
"I don't think I mentioned it before but mom makes the best Raman in the world as well!" Naruto said enthusiastically, making Karins eyes bulge.
"I'm sold hurry up and get me there." Karin said letting her stomach take away all her fears.
Meanwhile with team 7
"Ahh Kakashi good to see ya how was your little genins first C-rank?" Kotetsu asked mockingly.
"Ma same old same old." Kakashi replied walking past them with Zabuza passed out on his back.
"I'm going to drop Zabuza off at the hospital Sasuke you take Haku to the Hokage, I'll be there shortly." Kakashi said taking off.
"Alright. Haku follow me." Sasuke said before walking.
"Konoha is very beautiful." Haku said taking in the village as they made there way to the Hokage.
"It's not bad." Sasuke replied.
"You don't say much do you?" Haku asked jokingly.
"No. Alright we're here. Just follow my lead and once we get to the Hokage we will wait for Kakashi." Sasuke said as they made there way to the office.
"Come in." The Hokage said. "Ah Sasuke where is Kakashi?" The Hokage asked confused.
"He will be here in a second he had to drop off Zabuza at the Hospital." Sasuke said getting the Hokage to raise a brow.
"Hmm interesting who might be your friend there?" Hiruzen asked politely.
"I'm Haku, it's a pleasure to meet you Hokage-sama." Haku greeted.
"It's nice to meet you as well, what can I do for you Haku?" Hiruzen asked getting straight to the point.
Right before Haku could answer the famous silver haired Jonin entered the room via window.
"Sorry I'm late but I think it might be easier if I explain while Haku and Zabuza are here." Kakashi said casually.
"Go ahead." Hiruzen said pulling out some tobacco for his pipe.
"The important thing of this story is Haku claims that Zabuza was under direct order of the Mizukage to try and infiltrate the Akatsuki. The only reason I brought him back here is too see if you knew of this?" Kakashi said evenly.
"Indeed my boy Haku is telling the truth, but let me say this if Zabuza harms any leaf ninja in the future I'll send Kakashi after him again." Hiruzen spoke calmly but with fierce determination as well.
"Hai. Kakashi-San did they say when Master Zabuza would be ready to leave?" Haku asked worried about her father figure.
"I don't really know how to say this Haku. I guess a direct route would be the best, Zabuza left. He was pretending to be asleep on the last of the journey, when we got to the Hospital he told me of your past and how you still weren't real comfortable with Kiri as a home. He thought it best for you here he knew you wouldn't be able to stick with him if his mission succeeded so he made a call." Kakashi said softly.
Haku felt like she had just been hit with a ton of bricks, Zabuza was all she had and he had just abandoned her. For the first time in years Haku wept she felt so useless, and betrayed she just wanted to die. Then she started to get lightheaded not long after she collapsed, luckily Sasuke had the reaction time to catch her.
"Hokage-Sama the girl is a Yuki, and very kind I say we take her in." Kakashi said.
"I'll have to talk to the Mizukage about this but for now I agree. Sasuke take her home with you for the night tell her to come back here tomorrow so she can get her own place to stay." Hiruzen said dismissing the boy toting the young woman.
"Just another day in the life huh?" Kakashi teased as Hiruzen took a long drag from his pipe.
"Oh don't worry my friend I'm not the only one getting a surprise today." Hiruzen said before breaking out in a laughing fit.
What the hell does he mean Kakashi mused. "Well I'll be off sir" Kakashi said with a wave before heading home.
Hatake Home
"So what do you think Karin?" Naruto asked as he showed her the guest room.
"It's amazing! We never really had much money back home so this room is as big as some apartments we stayed in." Karin said.
"I'm glad you like it! I swear as long as you are here in Konoha you don't have to worry about anything!" Naruto said, to which Karin just pulled him in for a hug.
"Well how bout we see if mom will make some Raman tonight?" Naruto asked taking her hand and leading her downstairs.
"Pup, Ayame I'm home." Kakashi said aloud walking through the door.
"Hey honey how was your mission?" Ayame asked making some noodles.
"Maa nothing to crazy, how's it been here?" Kakashi asked taking a seat at the table.
"It was good, our son has something he needs to run by you I've already told him it was ok with me but that he needed your approval." Ayame said making Kakashi slightly confused.
"Hey dad can we talk?" Naruto asked walking down the stairs with Karin close behind.
"Sure, aren't ya going to introduce me to your friend?" Kakashi asked referring to Karin.
"Yeah that's what I wanted to talk about actually. This is Karin Uzumaki, she is from Kusa but was treated very poor to say the least so when we meet and told her of my mother we kind of hit it off and I asked her to come back and stay with us." Naruto explained honestly.
She looks like Kushina, I'm sure Kushina would want me to watch after her family not just Naruto. Kakashi mused. "Welcome to our family Karin-chan." Kakashi said with a smile, before the silver haired jonin could realize he was quickly wrapped into a bear hug from the red haired girl.
"Thank you so much Kakashi-San, Ayame-San I swear I'll help out around the house and get a job as soon as possible." Karin said hastily.
"Maa I'm sure you will Karin-chan I just ask you don't break my little pups heart." Kakashi said teasing Naruto and ruffling his hair.
"Hai, I have no intention of hurting Naruto-kun he has been the kindest person in my life since my mother passed." Karin said.
"Ok now that we are all in agreement let's eat." Ayame said serving the bowls of Raman.
Meanwhile with Sasuke
"Mother I'm home." Sasuke called out carrying Haku in bridal style.
"Uhh Sasuke why are you carrying a passed out girl into my home?" Mikoto asked suspiciously.
"Long story short her dad abandoned her and she has no place to go so the Hokage asked me to bring her here till he can get her a place." Sasuke said laying the girl on the couch.
"That's terrible what's her name?" Mikoto asked.
"Haku. She will most likely be out of it for a while she seemed pretty crushed." Sasuke said before heading out.
"No it's fine I'll stay here with her." Mikoto said to her retreating son.
Meanwhile with Jiraiya
"Lets go see sensei then I'll take you to the gaki." Jiraiya said as they walked into the village.
"Fine I have some stuff I need to discuss with our dear old sensei anyway." Tsunade said in freighting tone.
"Jeez Hime I thought we already agreed that Sensei wouldn't lie to us." Jiraiya said trying to ease the mood.
"I know but someone is going to have to feel my anger for this." Tsunade said making a fist.
Hokage office
Hiruzen was trying to get some paperwork done as well as reaching out to the Mizukage but unfortunately for him his door just exploded off it's hinges.
"Hey sensei long time no see." Tsunade said with an evil grin.
"Indeed, now will you please tell me why you just destroyed my door?" Hiruzen asked pulling out his pipe realizing this will be a stressful talk.
"Why in the fuck would you send me a letter saying my only family left alive died?" Tsunade screamed.
"What the hell are you talking about? The letter I sent asked if you would come home and raise the boy." Hiruzen said honestly.
"If I can cut in I'm pretty sure I know who sent it." Jiraiya said trying to ease the tension.
"I believe I know as well. It was Danzo, he was planning a coup it would make sense for him to try to keep other Hokage candidates out of the village." Hiruzen said with a sigh.
"I told you, you couldn't trust that damn Warhawk!" Tsunade lectured.
"I'm aware, Jiraiya already gave me the whole told you so lecture. Look I'm truly sorry I wish I could turn back time and fix things but alas there is no such jutsu. The best we can do is make up for lost time. Jiraiya will show you where the boy lives." Hiruzen said with a frown.
"Yeah I planned on it. The Gaki back from his first mission already?" Jiraiya asked.
"Indeed, it was rather interesting." Hiruzen said with a chuckle that made Jiraiya a little uneasy.
"Something I should know?" Jiraiya asked.
"You will find out soon enough. Don't keep the boy waiting." Hiruzen said ushering them out.
Hatake residence
"Tsunade-sama?" Kakashi asked greeting his visitors.
"That's no way to treat company brat didn't Minato teach you manners" Tsunade teased.
"Sorry it's just unexpected. If I may ask why are you here?" Kakashi asked again letting the woman and sage into his home.
"I came as soon as I heard I had family in the village." Tsunade explained.
"He's 13 why wait so long?" Kakashi asked not hiding the anger in his voice.
"Cool it Brat she didn't know. Danzo sent a letter with the Hokage stamp saying the Gaki didn't make it." Jiraiya explained.
"I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions." Kakashi said sincerely.
"It's ok I'm glad to see you care for him deeply." Tsunade said truthfully.
"Naruto come here you have company." Kakashi called out. Not long after a blonde came down the stairs with Karin close behind.
"What the hell Gaki you leave for one mission and snag a girl?" Jiraiya asked half impressed half jealous.
"Yes but it's more complicated than that I'll explain later." Naruto promised. Suddenly he was wrapped in a bone crushing hug from an unfamiliar blonde.
"I'm sorry do I know you?" Naruto questioned once he was released.
"I'm Tsunade Senju, I was your mother's cousin. I wasn't in the village when everything happened and was led to believe you didn't make it. I'm so sorry." Tsunade said tears forming in her eyes.
"It's ok Auntie." Naruto said with a million dollar smile that melted Tsunade's heart.
Naruto quickly ran over to give his new found family a hug. Tsunade was stunned the boy showed no signs of resentment or hatred he just came over immediately and comforted me. You would be so proud Kushina-chan Tsunade said giving a near bone crushing hug back to her fellow blonde.
"Can't breathe." Naruto managed to choke getting the Sannin to release him from the death grip.
"Sorry bout that Gaki got a bit carried away." Tsunade said with a chuckle.
"So who's your girlfriend?" Tsunade said making both the preteens blush.
"This is Karin Uzumaki." Naruto said with a grin.
"Uzumaki huh? Well it's nice to meet you Karin. Take care of the Gaki for me." Tsunade said.
"Hai!" Karin replied instantly.
"Well I'm gonna let you guys get some rest I'll be staying at the Senju compound don't be a stranger." Tsunade said giving Naruto another hug albeit much less bone crushing.
"I'll walk you out." Kakashi said making his way to the Sannin.
"You did good brat, Minato would be proud." Tsunade said as they walked out of the house.
"Thank you very much. I was worried at first but it's easily the best decision of my life." Kakashi said with his infamous eye smile.
