Me and my sister were both going out to the centre of town celebrating new year's eve we were going to meet some of her friends.
"My smol bro finally got a girlfriend" she said
"Stop it Ane-chan" I said "I am very self aware of the fact that I have a girlfriend ok"
"Geez do you always have to ruin my teases" she said locking the door
"So do you have a plan of what we are gonna do today or do you have no plans?" I said
"Of course I have, We will hangout with a friend of mine who came here for new year, after that we will all go find a restaurant for dinner and then just spend time there" she said
"Wow I am actually surprised that you made that plan" I said "Even though its still half assed in places"
"Shut up Baka" she said "Be happy that I atleast have an outline"
"So do you have a special someone?" I asked, It was my time to tease her
"As a matter of fact I do" she said
"You do, who is he, why haven't you told me this before" I asked her bombarding her with questions
"Ok I guess,It's my fault for not telling you but it is also your fault for not asking me" she said sticking out her tongue
"Fair enough,who is he?" I asked
"Here he is, she said pulling up a picture of her 'boyfriend' "He is kinda cute, good score"
"Thank you for being so considerate, now let's go" she said as we walked to our destination
We were walking for half an hour when we reached our destination
"Oh there they are" she said while pointing at a group of people
"Hey there cupcake" a boy from the group said while giving her a quick kiss and a hug
"Hey there Satoshi" she said while returning the embrace
"Hey there Nori" said one of her female friends
"Hey there Miyoshi and Toni, how was break" she started conversing with her friends completely forgetting about me
"Ahem" I announced myself
"Oh, Akhiko, I forgot to introduce you" she said a bit embarrassed "Everyone this is Akhiko, my little brother who is in a band and recently got a girlfriend"
"ANE-CHAN, did you have to say that out loud, especially the last bit" I said while giving her a chop on the head
"It's good to finally meet you" her boyfriend said "My name is Aoki Satoshi but please call me Sathosi"
"Hey Sathoshi, it's good to finally meet you although my sister didn't tell you anything about you to me until today" I said
"I guess I forgot, we started dating in july" she said
"Aight, fair enough," I said, turning to face Satoshi. "Satoshi, take good care of my sister whenever possible"
" You have my word for it" he told me with a genuine smile "By the way what instruments do you play?"
"I play the guitar and do screaming vocals sometimes" I replied back
"That's sick I play the bass" he said
"Let's go shopping" said Big Sis
We went to a few stores to shop for new years, I decided to go to a music store to buy a strap for my guitar and some cables
While me and my sisters friends were walking through the street market, something caught my eye
"Ane-chan, can you wait here for a minute, I need to buy something" I told her
"Let me guess, is it for Yui?" she said with a smirk
"Yea it is" i said
"Go on, we still have some time for the countdown" said Satoshi "I'll send you the location of where we are"
"Bye guys, I'll meet you there" I said running off to the place where I had to go
I spotted a cute guitar plushie which seemed to scream Yui, I bought it for a quite a cheap price
"Oh shit, I am going to be late" I said as I looked at my watch
Luckily I made it just in time for the countdown to begin
"100,99,98,97,96" we all saw the clock go down
"So what did you get her" asked Nori
"I got her this" I said pointing at the plushie
"Oooh, you really like her, don't you?" she said in an affectionate tone
"You have no clue" I said
"10, 9, 8 ,7 ,6 ,5 ,4 ,3 ,2 ,1" the crowd began chanting as the clock signified the new year
"Happy new year Ane-chan" I said hugging her
"Happy new year, Akhiko" she said returning the hug
We stayed there for a few minutes before being dropped off home by Satoshi, We woke up quite late the next day as I was supposed to go to the shrine to meet up with the gang
I decided to walk to the shrine, I was listening to It's Only Smiles while walking.
I reached the shrine and saw Yui there
"Hey Yui" I said giving her a wave
"Hey Akhiko" she said as she Jumped into my arms and gave me a kiss
"I don't think I'll ever get used to this" I said "Also I got this for you"
"What is it" she said taking the plushie from me "AWW Thank you so much Akhiko"
"Let's meet up with the others" I said as we started walking up the stairs holding hands
"Hey there you lovebirds" Ritsu said looking at Me and Yui
"Just shut it Ritsu" Mio said giving her a chop on the head
"You guys look happy" said Mugi with a smile
"We are" I said "Yui makes me happy in no way I ever thought"
"Let's go say our wishes" Mio said pointing to the donation box
"I wish our band and friendship can stand the test of time" I said dropping 500 yen in the box
"I wish we can become a better version of ourselves" said Mio
"I wish that my friends will always stay together" said Mugi
"I wish that I can eat more of Mugi's cake this year" said Yui which prompted a chop on the head from Mio
"I wish that I can play guitar better" Yui said after the smack
"Guys we got an offer from the school to play at the freshman orientation" said Ritsu
"We did, let's do it" I said in response "Yui which school did Ui get into" I asked
"She got into the same school as me" said Yui with a smile "Now we can go to school together"
"Let's get ready for the concert" I said pumping up my fists
With that the new school year was right around the corner
