Chapter Twelve – Love Me Tender
Clearwater Baptist Church, Clearwater, Florida
The Mac Family watched as Seth and Montez hugged it out. The two Superstars had been at each other's throats for the past 24 hours and if there was to be any reconciliation between Bianca and Montez, there had to be peace between Seth and Montez first.
Montez apologised for telling everyone that Sasha was carrying Roman's baby and he explained that he was worried about his wife's wellbeing. He said that he hadn't been on the main roster that long and that he wanted to make sure all the time Bianca had been spending with Seth wouldn't cause her to end up like Bayley.
The very mention of Bayley made Seth queasy but Montez was adamant that Seth keep his wife safe.
"Montez, your wife is keeping me safe," Seth explained.
"Oh yeah? Well then why are you getting into so much trouble?" Montez asked.
"Because I don't let things slide, especially when it comes to my marriage. Let's not get into that, just know that you've got nothing to worry about where Bianca is concerned," Seth said and Montez nodded, though he still had a million questions for Seth.
"Why did you and MacKenzie break up?" Montez asked Seth.
"Ask her, breaking up wasn't my idea, it was hers," Seth replied and Mac blushed.
"That was a long time ago Montez, I was jealous of Seth's friendship with Sasha Banks and Roman Reigns. I felt less important, they always seemed to come first and here we are almost a year later and nothing's changed. If anything, Seth's closer to them both," Mac said. "I don't like to play runner up,"
"Neither do I," Montez said and Seth raised his eyebrow at Montez.
"What do you mean by that?" Seth asked him.
"Just keep your word concerning my wife and we won't have a problem but if anything happens to Bianca, I'm coming for you Seth. She's the most important person in my life; I know it might seem like I care more about Charlotte Flair and Stephanie McMahon right now but Bianca is my one and only true love. I don't have a plan b, unlike you, or should I say, a plan Bayley," Montez said and Seth laughed.
"Wow, you make me sound like such a jerk," Seth said. "You're not afraid to speak your mind, I respect that, I really do. I'm a man with a lot of options but I know I chose the right one when I married the Boss. We should spend more time together, we have a little in common,"
"You know where I live," Montez said. "Come around anytime,"
Seth nodded in approval while the Mac family wondered why on Earth Belair and Bliss were out of breath as they ran into the Senior Pastor's office.
"Seth, God just came up with the best idea!" Alexa Bliss said as Bianca greeted her husband with a kiss.
"What did God tell you Bliss?" Seth asked Alexa.
"Actually, it was me God spoke to; He told me how to fix this thing with Charlotte Flair. God said that Charlotte should date AJ Styles," Bianca said twirling her braid.
Seth frowned at Bianca, "Well why didn't you come up to me the way Alexa did? If God told you something, you should have told me right away," Seth said.
"Yeah I know but, I thought, under the circumstances I should greet my husband before I talk to you," Bianca said.
"No Bianca, you can't do whatever makes you feel comfortable. You talk to me first, I don't care who's in the room," Seth said and Mac chuckled as Montez gave Bianca a severe look, forcing her to choose between him and Seth.
"See Montez? This is why I broke up with him. This is what it means to be a friend of Rollins, everyone else turns into a runner up. Right now, you might as-well not even be in the room," Mac said and Alexa nodded.
"But I am in the room!" Montez said. "You got a problem with my wife greeting me Seth?"
"Actually I don't think you're in the room Montez, its not big enough for your huge ego. Why don't we talk about it somewhere more appropriate? I'll see you outside in about fifteen minutes, we can walk and talk," Seth said and Montez shook Seth's hand.
"See you outside Love Me Tender," Montez said and Alexa furrowed her brow.
"Love Me Tender? What does that mean?" she asked Montez.
"It's an Elvis Presley reference; Seth's the Elvis of the WWE, he's pretty, talented and all the ladies love him," Montez said.
"I thought he was the Justin Bieber of the WWE?" Mac said furrowing her brow and Seth grinned knowing he was better than both of those legendary musicians.
"Can we get back to what God told me before I pull my braid out?" Bianca said and Montez kissed his wife lovingly and for a long time. He was deliberately trying to provoke Seth by spending even more time with his wife even though she had something urgent to tell Seth.
The MacKenzies' laughed as Seth waited patiently for the Fords to stop kissing knowing that Montez was deliberately provoking him.
"Will you two quit making out in front of the Pastor?!" Alexa Bliss said eventually and Pastor Mac laughed at the Fords kissing spree. As Montez broke the kiss, Bianca stumbled back losing her footing and she fell back onto Seth who caught her so she didn't fall on her disorientated butt.
"Easy there Belair," Seth said as Montez waved goodbye to everyone, leaving Seth to talk to Bianca and Alexa, the latter of whom was fanning herself after witnessing the sensational kiss between Bianca and Montez.
"I never kissed AJ like that," she said thinking about her last kiss. "I guess marriage really does make a difference,"
Mac smiled; that was good to know since she would be getting married this year.
"So Seth, what do you think about AJ Styles dating Charlotte Flair?" Bianca asked Seth as she regained her composure.
"I love it, do you want me to set it up?" Seth said.
"No you can't set it up, AJ's too mad at you," Alexa Bliss said. "It has to be someone that Charlotte trusts. I'll set it up,"
"Fine go do God's work," Seth said and Bliss and Belair shared a hi-five. "How happy are you right now Belair?"
"I'm so happy! This is the answer I've been waiting for, you told me God would come through and He did! I'm so happy right now!" Bianca said and she hugged Seth and kissed him and Pastor Mac separated them immediately.
"Now-now you're both married people, you can't be kissing each other like that," Pastor Mac warned Seth and Bianca.
Bianca gushed, "Sorry Pastor, I'm just so happy. I've been waiting for this prayer to be answered and Seth's been there with me the whole time. Thank you Seth," Bianca said fondly and Seth blushed.
"Hey it's not over yet but I'm glad things are finally getting back on track for you and Montez. I think he'll be relieved to hear Charlotte will be dating someone just as talented as you are," Seth said.
"Do you think that's important, dating someone who is on the same skill level?" Alexa asked Seth.
"Of course, you can't make love to someone you don't respect. That's just the rules," Seth said.
"So is that why you're not having sex with Sasha right now?" Mac asked her ex-boyfriend.
"Bingo," Seth replied. "once she's had the baby, I'll find her attractive again, I mean I'll have to otherwise we won't be able to have a child of our own,"
Pastor Mac looked at his daughter, "You know it should have been you right?"
"Daddy stop, Seth and Sasha are perfect for each other. This is all Roman's fault," Mac replied.
"Seth you are a good husband but you can't withhold sex from your wife. It's against marital law," Pastor Mac said to Seth who sighed.
"I just don't find her attractive right now, even her boobs don't do it for me anymore. When I look at them I just think they belong to Roman's baby now, do you know what I mean? I feel like I'm invading Roman's territory, I can't share a bed with her now that I know the baby isn't mine," Seth said. "She doesn't turn me on like she used to,"
"Seth, are you forgetting what the Ortons told you back in New York?" Bianca reminded Seth. "The promise God made to you is dependent on you forgiving Roman and Sasha for what they did. The minute you start blaming them for what happened, the promise God made to you will be ineffectual and other women will start to make moves on you,"
"Like you just did?" Mac asked Bianca who blew her off.
"That was just a friendship kiss, right Lexi?" Bianca asked Seth's former Maid of Armour.
"Right, we've shared plenty of friendship kisses and look, we're still friends. What Bianca's talking about is what Bianca was warning Charlotte about and that's the consequences of ignoring the voice of God. So Seth, if God tells you to forgive Roman and Sasha, that means you can't do stuff that shows you're still hurt, I.e. withholding sex from your wife. Sasha's your wife, she's just having Roman's baby. It didn't happen when you were married so you have no reason to feel guilty about it," Alexa said.
"I don't feel guilty, I just feel dirty. Like I'm part of some dirty sex triangle between Sasha and my best friend," Seth said and Bianca sighed.
"But won't withholding sex over the next few months be a little rough on your marriage?" she asked Seth.
"Do you still find Montez attractive after the way he treated you last night?" Seth asked Bianca.
"Of course I do! I know he loves me, he just got caught up in a little drama with the Queen. Our sex life will not be affected by last night, if I did what you're doing, that would definitely be the end of the relationship. I ain't giving up my marital relations so he has an iron clad excuse to go running after Charlotte Flair," Bianca said.
"So you're saying that if I continue to withhold sex from Sasha, she'll go running over to Roman Reigns?" Seth asked Bianca.
"Sex is important, if you don't wanna have it with her because of what happened with Roman, she might slip right back into the Big Dog's DMs," Bianca said.
"Not that Roman's DMs are open, he would never let that happen. Bianca don't put that out there," Alexa said but Bianca was being real right now.
"Listen, I'm all for happy marriages but when you have a kid by another man, there's a connection there. If I were you Seth, I'd do everything I can to keep Sasha strapped to your side over the next few months. That includes making sure she spends as little time with Roman as possible and even more time with you," Bianca said and Seth put his head on Mac's shoulder.
"I never would have thought in a million years that the first year of my married life I'd be forcing myself to sleep with Sasha Banks," Seth said and Mac held him supportively.
"Just close your eyes and pretend that the baby is yours, I mean, he will be yours, you're adopting him right?" Mac said rubbing Seth's head.
"You need to talk to Roman about that Seth, that's a serious conversation that you and Sasha both need to have with the Big Dog," Bianca said.
"No, you tell him. If it comes from you, he won't argue. If it comes from me, he'll see it as a threat and he'll think I'm just saying it to get back at him for getting Sasha pregnant," Seth said and Bianca raised her eyebrow.
"So, you want me to tell your best friend that you're adopting his son?" Bianca said.
"Yes," Seth said.
"Okay Seth I'll do it but it really should come from you. I'm worried that you're letting too much stuff come between you and Roman," Bianca said.
"You're right to be worried, there's a gulf forming between us and I don't know if I can stop it from getting any bigger. I'm trying not to hold what happened against him but the bigger my wife gets, the harder it is for me not to imagine Roman on top of her, giving her his big Samoan baby while I was breaking up with Charlie Mac," Seth said.
"Yeah I mean, Roman was the reason we broke up but let's not go there," Mac said. "There was a lot going on that night but that's all in the past. Alexa's right you have to start treating the baby like its yours and stop playing second fiddle to Roman Reigns. The Seth Rollins I know plays second fiddle to no-one," Mac said.
"Well that Seth Rollins is not the Seth Rollins sitting next to you," Seth replied and Mac looked at her father, she was worried and Pastor Mac knew that there was more to forgiving Sasha and Roman than Bianca and Alexa were making it seem.
"Betrayal is the root cause of all of this," Pastor Mac said to Seth. "deep down inside you feel like you deserve what happened to you because a long time ago, you betrayed someone you loved, isn't that right son?"
Seth nodded and Bianca exchanged glances with Alexa.
"What is he talking about?" Bianca asked Alexa.
"He's talking about when Seth betrayed the Shield. This is way before your time," Alexa explained.
Pastor Mac prayed for Seth to be delivered from betrayal and after everything she'd been through with Charlotte Flair, Bianca never felt more qualified to pray for her mentor as God had answered her prayer and given her the answer she needed when she needed it the most. She knew that God would do the same for Seth too, what she didn't know was what that answer was going to be.
