Chapter 29

Jude Heartfilia. Evil extraordinaire. His plans were always exquisite, and most of the time, they worked.

Probably because he delegated everything to the Phantom Lord guild. Including the planning. So the plans weren't his at all.

But Jose was late. Jude sneered as he decided to remind Jose just who was paying him. In front of Lucy, of course. He needed to establish in her mind that defying him leads to very bad consequences.

Not that she didn't know, of course. He had made sure to imprint it mentally as well as physically onto her. He still remembered holding a burning poker to her underarm the first time, her delicious screams of pain like music to his ears, and oh, the smell of the burning flesh.

Ah, the good old days.

He walked over to his whip that he had bought specially. It really was an exquisite thing. The owner had said something about it being made of condensed spandex, allowing it to expand and sting more, but he was more interested in the silver running along the top. Truly exquisite.

Just as exquisite as Lucy's cries of pain would be. Speaking of which, somebody knocked on the door.

"Come in", he said irritably. The door opened and his wayward daughter walked in. She was looking downwards, and appeared fearful. He looked at her empty wrists in disappointment.

"Finally. Where's Jose, bitch? Scared to show his face because he's late? JOSE", he yelled down the hall. "I TOLD YOU TO HANDCUFF HER WITH THE SPIKED CUFFS I GAVE YOU!"

He looked at Lucy again. "Where is he?!"

Lucy didn't answer. He was about to yell again when she looked him in the eye, her expression changing into a blank one.

"I-I-I hate you, and I d-d-don't want y-you to attack F-F-Fairy Tail again!"

Jude was stunned for a brief moment. What audacity! Then his expression morphed into one of rage. He turned and lifted the whip, then swung it at her.

SNAP!

Humans think faster than they feel. First, Jude was stunned to see his whip caught by a pink haired brat. Second, he wondered why there was a snapping sound, seeing that the whip was intact. Then he felt incredible pain.

Natsu had not, in fact, snapped the whip. Instead, he had caught the whip while simultaneously snapping Jude's jaw and making a few teeth pop out.

Natsu looked at Lucy. "You may not want to watch this."

Lucy took some steps backwards, and then turned to him. She wanted to tell him not to kill her father, but she didn't know how. She wasn't the only one he'd hurt, and yes, he deserved it, but-

Her eyes conveyed all of that. Natsu sighed. "Don't worry, Lucy, I won't kill him. But I swear, you should leave and go look at bunnies or something. You will be happier."

Lucy frowned. "What are you going to do?"

Natsu cocked his head to a side. "Have you seen Scanners?"

"No, but I have seen SAO Abridged, if that's what you're asking."

"Yeah, well, basically that, but less violent."

Lucy left.

Turning back to Jude, Natsu lifted him up by the throat and slammed him on the ground. Putting hand on his head, Natsu made blood burst out of Jude's ears.

"Never attack Fairy Tail, and don't you dare to put a hand on Lucy ever again, you sick fuck!"

Whipping him with his own whip for good measure, Natsu turned around. Inspecting the whip, he realized that it was the whip he'd wanted to buy for Lucy.

"Oh, and I'll be taking this." With that, he left. Catching up with Lucy, he gave her the whip.

"I wanted to buy this the day after I first trained you, but it had been reserved for your father. So, here it is. Keep it."

She looked at him in surprise.

"I-I thought that you had forgotten about taking me or something. Thank you!" She smiled at him, and he smiled back.

"I would never forget something like that. Now, come on! We need to get to Galuna island and destroy the moon!"

"Yeah- wait, what?"

"It's nothing serious, don't worry about it."

"Nothing serious?!"

"Yeah. Haven't you read Dragon Ball?"

"Everyone has read Dragon Ball!"

"And how many times is the moon destroyed?"

"… You have a point."

"So, come on!"

And they went.

After some time, Zeref asked Erza, "Has the blue haired guy woken up yet? I need to restore his memories."

Erza looked at him with her mouth open. "You can DO that? And how did you know he lost his memories?"

"Um, because it's a very common side effect to possession? Jeez, what do they teach in school nowadays?"

"I am an orphan who ran away from an evil tower to Fairy Tail, where I spent my days getting respect, losing all that respect in one go, courtesy of Natsu, regaining it again by fighting Natsu again and again and still losing, so it's respect out of pity, and you honestly think I've ever gone to school?"

Zeref put his hands up in surrender. "Okay, fine, fine. No need to get psycho."

"I'm not psycho!", Erza said, in a decidedly sane voice. Very sane.

Meanwhile, several people, if they could be called so, were sitting in their guild and drinking some strange, red liquid. The Bloody Fang guild. Several women were strung up along the walls, along with pre-pubescent boys, with wounds on their body. The guild members, when they wanted a refill, just went up to the barmaid, who would slice open the women's (and the prepubescent boys') arms, fill the glass with blood, and give it to the guild member.

There was much less screaming than you would expect in such a place, probably because the living blood bags knew that they would soon be dead blood bags if they screamed.

Other than that, it was a pretty normal guild. A young white-haired, red eyed guild master named Vlad (who incidentally looked exactly like the person who had killed Lisanna), his equally white-haired sister Helena, and Lisbeth, the blue-haired shy girl that was obviously in love with Helena but too shy to say anything.

Then there was the bartender Rowena, with lovely brown hair and really pale but pretty eyes. There was the customary pervert with long, white hair that was looking at her. Unlike Naruto, the pervert was a girl named Elizabeth, which is why no one did anything to her. After all, there were some strict double standards in anime that had to be upheld.

There was the generic powerful blonde female called Robin, who often behaved like a wild animal, and her smart but weaker twin Rueben. Rueben was currently getting a noogie from Robin and trying in vain to dislodge himself.

The dark-haired individual sitting in a corner with a book was Soren. The two girls draped all over him in questionable attire were the pink haired nameless fodder called Maria and the blonde nameless fodder called Rumia.

There was also a random decapitated head that talked. Because why not.

It almost made you forget that they were bloodthirsty, soulless monsters that survived on, well, anything that they chose to eat, but they always chose blood. In other words, vampires. Real vampires, not the twisted mockery of their race that Natsu was.

Never mind the fact that they had twistedly mocked their own race by bioengineering Sanguinia, who had then trained Natsu. Of course it was the fault of the one person who didn't know about vampires existing! There couldn't possibly be a logical fallacy in that statement!

Their door opened suddenly. All of their eyes moved to the figure of a person they had done business with previously.

"Jude, huh?", Robin snarled. "What are ya doin' here?"

Jude bowed, while inwardly bristling. He needed their help now, but he could dispose of them later. Although he could keep the one that had just spoken. Robin or something. She had a large enough bust, and blonde hair just a shade lighter than his daughter's.

"I have come to seek your aid in capturing my daughter and killing a certain pink haired member of Fairy Tail, whose name I do not know."

That got everyone's attention.

Natsu was a pet project of Vlad. Vlad planned to inflict him with as much pain as possible before he died, and that meant killing all his loved ones first, slowly. The reason? Natsu was called Vampire, while they, the real vampires, were nowhere as famous.

Vlad stepped forward, stalking towards Jude.

"How much are you willing to pay for this, Mr. Heartfilia? Know that if you want your daughter to be unharmed, you will have to pay a higher price."

"Six million jewels. And as for my daughter, I would like her as injured as possible, but still alive with her body parts attached."

Vlad gave a smirk as the others looked horrified at a father that would be willing to do that. Never mind that they literally had people strung up as blood bags.

"I believe we have a deal."
