A/N- Sorry guys about not updating for a while. I have been very busy with Glam Girls Day Spa and getting it all set up. But now that the business is open I should now have some free time to finish this story. There is going to be a couple more chapters then I think I might end the story. Well here is what you have been waiting for. Hope you enjoy this chapter.

Hiccup's Pov:

It was extremely late when I got home last night, due to me being busy talking to Bjorn and Ingrid then I went to work on the house that is being built for me to live in with Thalia and Astrid. The house is coming along nicely. Hopefully, by tomorrow night it should be ready for us to move into.

When I got home, I found Astrid fast asleep on the couch. Before I even went to bed, I had to check on my Daughter. Then I went back downstairs and shifted Astrid over so I could climb in behind her on the couch then I fall asleep.

I was having a genuinely nice sleep when I felt someone shaking me awake. When I finally opened my eye, I noticed that my mother was trying to wake me up. "Morning Hiccup. Sorry to wake you this early but I thought you might want to go on a flight with me." She said.

"Yea. Sure. Let me get up and get myself ready." I said. I gently unwrapped myself from my beautiful girlfriend so I would not wake her and got off the couch. I then tucked the blanket back around Astrid and was then off to get myself ready for a flight with Mum.

Once I was ready, I then met Mum outside the house with Toothless and then mounted my best friend. Mum and I then took off for our flight. During our flight, I was doing all sorts of tricks that Toothless and I used to do when it was just us out flying.

"Wooohooo. Yeah, Baby." I shout out as Toothless flies his fastest along the ocean. We then shot up into the sky, so we were levelled out and flying beside Cloudjumper and Mum.

"Haven't seen you do those tricks for a while Son," Mum said. "Yea it has been a while since Toothless and I have done them with everything that is going on it has been hard to for us 2, to spend some time together," I said.

"So, how did the talk with Bjorn and Ingrid go yesterday? You were home extremely late last night." Mum said.

"The talk was good. They are both leaving this afternoon to head back to the Edge. And they are going to keep an eye on the Dragon Hunters for me while I stay here on Berk. And the reason I was so late home last night, is that I was helping with building my house." I explained to her.

"That is good that Bjorn and Ingrid can go back home, and I am glad that you are staying here on Berk for good Son." She said. "Thanks, Mum. It is good to be back here. Even if I thought I would never come back after I had set up my life out there on Dragon's Edge. But I love being back and that I now have Astrid in my life and that Thalia now gets to meet rest of her family as well." I told her.

"I know what you mean Hiccup. I never thought that I would be back here as well." She said. "So, when are you going to propose to Astrid then?" She asked me after a couple of minutes of silence.

"Well, I am hoping to ask her sometime today. I am going to take her on a flight then probably ask her in the cove since that is where we first kissed and that is where she first found out about my secret." I explained.

"Sounds romantic Son," Mum said. I blushed at that comment. "Come we better get back now we have been out for an hour," I said to Mum. "Your right Son. Astrid and your Father will be wondering where we are." Mum said. We then turned around and flew back to Berk.

Once we landed outside the house, we hopped off our Dragons and went inside the house. "There you two are. I was wondering where you two went." I heard Dad say as we step through the door.

"Morning Dad. Mum and I just went for a flight." I said. I then walked over to the couch and saw that Astrid was still asleep. I then went to sit on the edge of the couch and started stroking her cheek which caused her eyes to flutter open.

"Morning Babe." She said a raspy voice due to her still waking up. "Morning to M'Lady," I said. "What time did you get in? I didn't hear you come in at all last night." She asked me. "I didn't get home to extremely late last night. And I didn't want to wake you when I came in anyway." I said.

"How did training go? And how was Thalia after I left you yesterday?" I asked my girlfriend. "Training was fine, and Thalia is good. She played with Sunset and Bluely." She said. "How come you did not tell me that our daughter had a Dragon?" She asked.

"I nearly freaked out when she went towards that blue Nadder. Heather had to tell me it was alright, and that Bluey was Thalia's Dragon." She added. I smiled when she said the 'our daughter' part. "Sorry I didn't tell you that. We have had Bluely since he was a baby. I found the egg one day when I was out exploring, and I then took it back to the edge to see if it would hatch." I explained.

"Then a month later it hatched into a Nadder. Thali was 6 months old then and they have been together ever since. You really see one without the other. But with Thalia have been sick since she got to Berk, she hasn't really seen Bluey for a while. This would be the longest they have been apart from each other." I added.

"It is alright Hiccup. I forgive you for not telling me but next time please so I don't get a heart attack from watching or daughter playing with a dragon that I don't know about." She said. "I will tell you next time it happens," I said.

"So…" My Father said pulling Astrid and me away from our conversation to making us look at him. "What is the plan for today then Son?" He asked me. "Well, I will go and wake Thalia up soon. Then in the next couple of hours, I will be getting Bjorn and Ingrid ready to head back to the Edge since Gothi said they are fine to fly back now. And the Edge needs them at the moment." I said.

"Then if it is alright with Astrid. I was wondering if you want to go on a flight with me and spend the day with me. Just us two." I said "Sure, I would love to. But what will we do with Thalia?" She asked.

"Well, I was thinking that she stays here with Mum if you're not too busy this afternoon Mum," I said directing my question to Mum. "I would love to watch her Hiccup, but I have to train up some more Vikings on a Dragon." She said.

"That is fine Mum. I will see if Heather or Dagur can take her." I said. "What about me. I could take her for the afternoon." Dad said. "But you have Chiefing duties to do and finish building my house," I said.

"It is fine Hiccup. Let me spend the afternoon with my Granddaughter and I will go and check on the Village and the house after breakfast." He said. "Fine she can go with you Dad," I said.

After Breakfast I went to go and get things ready for the day so Astrid and I could spend the day together. "Alright, Bud. The plan is to go on a flight with Astrid then take her to the cove and spend the day there then I will hopefully have the courage to propose to her." I said to my best friend.

"Aww! How sweet and so romantic. Who knew you had it in Hiccup." Toothless said teasing his rider. "By quite Toothless," I said. "Daddy." I heard from behind me. I turned to find my beautiful girl running towards me with her arms out. I picked her up and threw her into the air before catching her the tickled her tummy to make ber giggles.

"Daddy where you and Mummy going?" She asked me. "Well, Mummy and I are going away for the day," I told her. "Can I come, Daddy?" She asked me.

"Not this time Baby," I said looking over my daughter's shoulder and seeing Astrid walking towards us. "Why?"

"Because you are going to spend the day with your Grandfather," Astrid said once she was beside me. "But I want to go with you and Daddy," Thali said as she put a pout on her face. "You can come next time your Father and I go on a trip. Okay." Astrid said to Thali.

"But…" Thali started to say but I cut her off by saying, "Thalia!" Then gave her my do not argue look. Thalia looked down at the ground with a pout on her face.

"Now your Mother and I better be off. You be a good girl for your Grandfather, and we will see you when we get back later on. Okay." I said. She nodded. "Good girl." I walked up the stairs to where my Father and Mother were waiting for us. "Love you, Mummy, love you, Daddy," Thalia said hugging me.

I kissed her head before passing her to Astrid who also gave her a hug and a kiss then she said, "We love you too Honey." Astrid then passed Thalia off to me parents as we said our goodbyes then we took off to the sky.

We had been flying for about a couple minutes when Astrid asked me, "So, where are we going Hiccup?"

"You will find out shortly M'Lady," I said to her as we kept flying towards the cove. After another 5 minutes, we had finally just outside the cove. I hoped off Toothless as Astrid did the same to Stormfly. "Where are we Hiccup? She asked me.

"Soon M'Lady. But first I have to cover your eyes." I said as I turned her so her back was facing me and I then reached up and ties a blindfold over her eyes. "Hiccup?" She called.

I then took her hand and lead her into the cove. I looked around once we entered the cove to make sure everything was where it was meant to be, which it was. "Hiccup I don't like not having my sight taken away from me you know that." She said which caused me to laugh slight at the face that she was pulling.

"Oh, believe me, M'Lady I do know that," I said as I walked behind her. "Then why have you taken my slight from me then?" She asked me. "Well can't have you seeing where we are otherwise it would not be a surprise after all if you knew M'Lady," I said to her. Which cause her to huff and me to laugh again.

"Hiccup!" she moaned. "Alright, alright," I said as I started to untie the blindfold on her. Once I took the blindfold off her I then turned her around to face where the picnic was set up for us.

I heard a gasp from Astrid as she took in what she was looking at. "Oh, Hiccup. This is wonderful but how did you set this up when we were with your parents this morning?" She asked me.

"I sent a note to Heather and Dagur last night asking them to set this up this morning," I explained. "But how did you know I would agree to spend the day with you?"

"Well, I knew that we have not spent much time together since Thalia arrived sick and when I was busy back at the Edge, so I had known that you needed to get away from Berk for a day to relax."

"So, do you like it?" I asked her scared that she would not like it at all. "I love it Hiccup thank you." She said then kissed me. Then she pulled me over to the picnic area and we sat down and talked.

Astrid's Pov:

We have been sitting here for an hour talking since Hiccup bought me back here to the cove for a surprised picnic and I have to say I was enjoying it very much. It just felt nice to sit and relax for once without anyone to interrupt us.

I was bought out of my thoughts by Hiccup when he touched my hand. "Are you alright Astrid?" He asked me. "Yea I am fine, why wouldn't I be Hiccup?" I asked him confused. "I was asking as it looked like you weren't here a moment ago." He said.

"I am fine I promise Hiccup," I said with a smile as I took his hand. Next thing I knew he was standing up and pulling me up with him. Then he led me over to the pond which caused me to be confused.

"Remember how you came upon me here 6 years ago and how you met Toothless for the first time." He said with a smile across his face. "I remember. That was also when you told me that you were leaving Berk and I tried to change your mind about it." I said.

"It is also where you kissed me for the first time then you hoped on Toothless and left Berk and me behind. Then I never heard from you for 6 years until you crash-landed here on Berk." I added then looked away from him since thinking about that night still hurt.

"Astrid… That night I left was the hardest thing I had to do. You were the only person that I regretted not taking with me when I left here." He said. "Why didn't you take me with you?" I asked him.

"I wanted to, believe me, Astrid. But I couldn't. Berk could not lose you. Berk needed you." He said. "Berk may have needed me Hiccup, but I needed you. After you left, I spent most of my time here in this cove just hoping that you would come back for me. But you didn't." I said to him as I looked down at the pond.

"Astrid…"

"Instead you went you and got yourself a wife and a child. And I didn't realise that I was in love with you until it too late and you were already gone." I added.

"Astrid even when I was with Hannah, I never stopped loving you. Yes, I did love Hannah but not the way that I love you. I have been in love with you since I was young and before I even left Berk." He said which caught me by surprise. Next thing I know is that he is on his knee.

I gasped and covered my mouth with my hands once I released what he was doing. "I was hoping to do this a bit differently but since we were talking about all this, I thought I will just do it. I know that we are already meant to be getting married, but I wanted to do this properly." He said as he pulled out a square case from his pocket.

"Astrid leaving without you was a mistake that I will always try and make up for. And when I told you about Thalia I was worried that you would hate me forever but you didn't instead you took Thalia in and you have treated her and loved her as if she was your own. And I was so over the moon when she called you Mummy. I love you Astrid Hofferson and I always will. Will you Marry Me?" He said as he opened the box.

Inside the box, there was a lovely engagement ring. "Yes," I whispered.
"Yes… Yes, yes" I said again. I then held my hand out and watched him place the ring on my finger. Then I jumped into his arms and kissed him. "I love you so much Hiccup," I said then kissed him again.

After our make-out session, we finally pulled away from each other and Hiccup pulled me back to the where we were sitting before our talk and before he proposed to me. Once I was sitting beside him, he wrapped his arm around me and pulled me into him.

"What till we till everyone including Thalia, she will be excited," I stated. "Oh, believe me, she will be overly excited once she finds out and so will the whole Village. Plus, she has already asked me if I was going to marry you one day anyway." He said to me.

"Really?" I asked looking up at him. "Yea she asked me that morning I arrived back from the Edge." He said. "She asked me the same question a day before," I told him. "Of course, she did." He said. After that, we laid there in each other's arms for the rest of the day.

It was starting to get dark when we got back to the Village and the Chief's house. We could hear laughing coming from inside the house as we dismounted from the dragons. Hiccup took my hand as we walked towards the door and walked inside the house.

"Mummy, Daddy. You are back." I heard Thalia say as she left her Grandfather who what looked like to be chasing her around the room and she came running towards Hiccup and I.

I picked her up after she ran into my arms. "Hi Honey." I said, "Did you have a good day today?" I asked her. "Huh-huh." She replied. "Were you good for your Grandfather?" Hiccup asked our daughter. "Huh-huh." She said again.

Then she started to rub at her eyes. "I think someone is tired after a big day," Val said from the couch. "I think you might be right Mum." Hiccup said.

"No, no bed Daddy," Thali said as she continued to rub her eyes. She then reached out for Hiccup who took her into his arms. "Thalia you are tired, so it is bedtime." Hiccup told her which cause Thalia to put a pout on her face.

"Well, we have a surprised for you three," Stoick said. "You mean the house is finished then," Hiccup asked his Father. "Yes, it sure is Son."

"Follow us and we will take you to your new home," Val said. We then followed Stoick and Val out of the house and closer to the forest area that was in between the Chief's house and my parents' house.

The house that had been built for us was beautiful. It was two stories high and had a stable on each side of the house for our dragons who were already in them.

The inside was even lovelier. The fire was already going so it was very warm inside. "Well, I hope it is too your liking Son," Stoick said turning to face Hiccup who had a sleeping Thalia in his arms and me.

"It is wonderful thank you Dad for your help." Hiccup said. "Your welcome Son. Well, we will leave you guys to settled in and put Thalia to bed. We will see you in the morning." Val said to us both.

"Night Val and Stoick," I said as Hiccup said, "Night Mum and Dad."

Stoick and Val were just leaving when Val turned around and said. "Oh and one more thing, congratulations on the engagement you two." Then they both left the house.

After they left Hiccup and I went upstairs to put Thalia to bed then once that was done we then went to our room and went to bed as well.
