Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's: War of the Dragons

Chapter 15: She puts the Evil in "Devil"

A/N: I apologise for the wait. Degree college courses are a lot more difficult than I originally thought. Especially psychology. Fucking hate psychology. Anyway, I'd like to say to Torch - the guest reviewer - that I'll be doing both. I use cards from the TCG/OCG, anime/manga, and some of my own custom cards. I can't reveal any of the cards that the characters will be using because that would spoil the surprises, but I can say that I am taking liberties with some cards' effects. For instance, if I were to use the Shooting Quasar Dragon in this story, I would use a combined effect from both its anime effect, and it's real world card effects. Hopefully, that answers everything. Now on with the story!

Chaos.

That was the only thing that could describe the madness within the Kaiba Dome. Duelists pushing and shoving one another to get to their runners, some even trying to attempt to duel right in the stadium, only to be knocked aside, and trampled. The MC couldn't do anything more than try to calm the duelists down and exit the arena in an orderly fashion. Meanwhile, security led by Trudge, escorted Yusei back to the VIP box where Akiza and his other remaining friends that were not participating in the tournament.

Despite the current King of Game's discomfort being led back to the building, he knew that it was a necessary causality, if his suspicions of Divine were to hold any weight. Before he could be led too far astray, he looked over his shoulder behind him, and caught a glimpse of his brothers, Leo and Sherry relatively unharmed, and keeping themselves away from the mayhem surrounding them. Just before he was too far away outside line of sight, he caught the nod in his direction from Jack, returning the sentiment, Yusei was soon led further down the path, and quickly lost sight of his eternal rival.

Trudge with his large hand gripped Yusei's shoulder tightly, almost too tight, then grumbled just barely loud enough for the former Signer to hear, "What the hell was that? 'I'm retiring from duelling.' You couldn't have given us any kind of warning before you decided to drop that kind of bombshell? You've got a lot of explainin' to do kid."

With a little more force than what was absolutely necessary, Yusei pushed Trudge's hand away as they made it to the building without incident, surprisingly. The weathered officer looked like he was about to pop a blood vessel. As the doors closed behind them, and Trudge led him to the elevator with his guards still surrounding him, Yusei replied, "I believe I explained why I didn't tell anyone, Trudge."

"Yeah. You did. But that doesn't excuse you from not telling Lazar at the least. Or your friends for that matter. In fact the only person you seemed to inform this of, is Akiza. She didn't so much as react as to the news. And I get it. You didn't want the information getting out and into the media, but that doesn't explain why you didn't seem to trust anyone else to tell."

"Actually, there was one other person…"

The grizzled officer turned to look at the young man with a thick brow raised. In all the years he's known of the turbo duelist, he's never once heard him speak in such a low tone. Curiosity getting the better of the large brute of a man, he couldn't help but ask, "Oh yeah? Who might this other special person be, might I ask?"

Yusei's tanned, marked visage scrunched into a grimace from hearing Trudge's sarcastic remark. Referring to his older brother as special depended on the definition of the word. And definitely not in the way that Trudge made it sound out to be. Knowing that he was going to get an earful, and that there wasn't any way for the turbo duelist to try to outmaneuver the question, he answered with a single word, "Jack…"

Even before the elevator reached the top floor to its destination, the people outside the packed compartment could easily discern the loud, booming voice of Mina's husband. All eyes in the room shifted to the young woman, as she sighed and rubbed her temples, before her gaze turned to Akiza. "So… I'm assuming that Yusei must've told someone else the big news. And based on my husband's reaction, it's already someone he doesn't like very much, and I think I already know who that person might be. But just to be sure, why don't you tell us?"

Akiza had the decency to at least look a tad little sheepish, when she confirmed Mina's suspicions, "Tall, blonde, rude, arrogant, and a very high opinion of himself to the point of self absorption. Ring any bells yet?"

Before Mina could get a word in edgewise, Carly interrupted her before she had the chance to even open her mouth, "Wait, Jack?! What?! Why didn't he tell me?!"

Just as soon as Akiza was going to answer the bespecalled reporter, the chiming ding of the elevator arrived, signalling Yusei and Trudge's ascent had been completed. When the doors opened however, the sight that greeted the women and Lazar was absolutely comical. Trudge's guards stumbled and fell over each other and scurried away on their hands and knees, as the Chief of Security attempted to lock Yusei in a chokehold, only for the elusive turbo duelist to reverse the hold, and promptly let the larger man go as he tried slam Yusei's back into the rear end of the compartment, only to send himself falling to the floor.

Stepping over the large man, and exiting the compartment, Yusei was met with the amusing sight of Akiza and Luna struggling and failing to keep themselves from laughing aloud. Both of the women biting their lower lips, and raising a hand to cover their mouths, trying to stop their mirth from escaping. Mina, simply shook her head and contemplated why she even married the man sprawling on the floor in the first place. Carly was in much the same state as Akiza, letting squeaks escape before she immediately tried to sober up when she realised she had some questions for the King of Games. Only to be stopped by Misty's hand on her wrist, with an amusing and genuinely rare smirk on her supermodel face pulling the reporter down, but keeping her eyes on the spectacle. "Easy, Carly, let's allow Yusei to sit for a moment before you start questioning him."

The only two people not amused by the display were obviously the man being hauled up off the floor by his smaller but much more deadly partner, and the even smaller man of the city. Levelling his painted glare at Trudge for causing this ruckus, he shifted to Yusei before sighing in resignation, "Yusei, I believe you owe us all" - Shifting his gaze to Akiza, he quickly reversed his sight back to the world champ and addressed him once again - "Or… the rest of those you've not shared this… decision with."

While Yusei and Akiza were preoccupied with explaining why they decided to keep his announcement from everyone else but themselves, and apparently Jack, most of the duelists from within the crowd beneath stage had managed to disperse out into the city. There were still a few stragglers left, however.

"Wait, you mean to tell me you knew and didn't tell me? What the fuck dude?!"

Some of those stragglers just happened to be the company of Crow Hogan, Sherry Leblanc, Kalin Kessler, Leo...something, and the man in question currently in question having a shouting match with the ginger, marked criminal and resident birdbrain, Jack Atlas. "Ugh, okay, for the last time. And I'll explain it, extra carefully and slowly so your feeble, pea brained mind can comprehend what I'm saying when I move my lips. Watch closely now, "It. Wasn't. My. Story. To. Tell. Do. You. Un-der-stand?"

Flipping off his older brother, Crow oh so eloquently replied back, "Fuck you, man. I heard you the first time, prick. I just don't get why neither you, or Yusei didn't tell me! I'm your brother for fucks sake!"

Leo, Kalin and Sherry were standing off to the side as the two brothers continued their bickering shouting match. "Uh… should we tell them that the tournament's started? I mean, I'm kinda upset that Yusei didn't mention anything about this to me or my sis, but it's nothing to get bitchy about, right? It's his life, just because he's their brother doesn't mean he has to tell them everything that goes on right? Right?"

Sherry merely shrugged, and looked at a nonexistent watch on her wrist, before turning her gaze to the youngest of their little group. "Hm, I suppose, but frankly I don't really care. What I do care about is how much longer this pissing contest is going to take. In case those two haven't noticed, we're the only duelists still standing in the stadium!"

Raising her voice near the end, she managed to get the attention of both of the men currently trying very hard not to throttle the other. The two took a long look at the french blonde, before Jack turned back to Crow without further acknowledging the young woman's presence. Replying to her without looking back, "Then go, Sherry. This isn't like the WRGP, we're not a team here. As long as the rest of you make it to the finals I don't really care how you get there. Me and my little brother here aren't quite finished yet."

Scowling at tall, blonde, and increasingly irritating blockhead, Sherry was just about to make a scathing retort, when Kalin's hand rested on her forearm. Shifting her glare at the quiet, silver haired man, he explained, "Leave him, Sherry. Once Jack and Crow get into one of their arguments, there's literally nothing that will get between them, with a swift smacking from Martha the only exception. Even after all this time, I guess some things never change. Leo, you're right, it's Yusei's business whether he wants to tell people his problems. A Little heads up would've been nice, I suppose, but that's not the issue between these two. Whether Crow wants to admit it or not, I think he's more hurt by the fact that Yusei only told Jack, and most likely Akiza and didn't breathe a word of it to him."

A look of recognition and understanding flashed across the young duelists face. "Ohhh, so… he's jealous?"

Sherry rolled her eyes, as Kalin smiled sympathetically towards the young man,"Yeah, I guess you could say that." Continuing to rub her temples, the buxom, blonde groaned, and muttered just loud enough for the men she found herself with could hear, "I'm surrounded by idiots." Turning her heads up towards the sky, she could only think, "Yusei, I hope you and Akiza aren't going through the same headache I'm dealing with…"

Unbeknownst to the duelists still in the arena, and to the world champ and his friends in the VIP box above the duel field, Divine and the Skeleton Knight were still waiting for the right moment to strike. That is, until Divine's waning patience was reaching a breaking point. "Damnit, what the hell are we still doing up here! Look at them down there; all smiles and playful bickering. It makes me sick! They don't really know that I'm back. All they've got are vague misconceptions. They're distracted, we should rush them, now!"

But just as his disciples' patience wore thin, so too did the Skeleton Knights. "Enough, Divine! Quit your whining and bellyaching! We have come too close now, and with Yusei's newest revelation we cannot miss this one-time opportunity! What you're suggesting is suicide. Even with both of our powers combined, we wouldn't stand a chance against all six former Signers in one place! They may no longer be marked by the Crimson Dragon, but his will still runs through their hearts and their decks! Have you learned nothing of the history of which I've shared with you!? Our best chance is to acquire the remaining bearers of the remaining Duel Dragons, and I will not let your pathetic excuses get in the way of over hundreds of thousands of years of waiting and planning. DO NOT EVER QUESTION ME AGAIN. ARE WE CLEAR!?"

The dark void of power emanating from the Skeleton Knight slowly dissipated as he didn't bother with hearing a reply from his servant. Divine had his uses, but his constant questioning and bitching concerning the Signers - especially Yusei and Akiza - had driven the undead warrior to his last iota of patience. As he calmed down, he watched as the remaining members of the Signers along with their friends finally seemed to have come to an understanding and left the arena to actively participate.

Now all that was left to do was left in the capable hands of his more… helpful acolytes. Catching a glimpse of Divine out of the corner of his unblinking, unflinching, dark red eyes, the cursed knight could see that what he had said clearly affected the former leader of Arcadia. It was as if he had frozen his very soul. The man looked deathly pale, as if he faced death itself - which isn't entirely inaccurate. He wouldn't actually have killed Divine, but the Skeleton Knight would make it so that he wished he were dead. "Now that that's been settled, let's see how your brethren are doing, shall we?"

Divine didn't utter a sound. Instead he followed along with his master's plan, just like a dog would its own. Having seen the face of death stare into his very soul had petrified the mortal man. He made the mistake of crossing him, twice now. And he knew that if he ever set foot outside his master's wishes again, there wouldn't be a third.

Weaving through the streets in New Domino, Agamae had separated from her partner Tian, the latter suggesting that the two split up to cover more ground, and to not appear to be too suspicious to the other competitors. Their "master" was counting on them to find the six remaining bearers of the Duel Dragon counterparts of the Signer Dragons, and didn't want to acquire the unnecessary attention of the other duelists, especially from the former Signers. They also knew that failure was not an option; not when they are so close to their goal, and the surprisingly shocking news of the World Champion retiring. Thinking back on the Skeleton Knight, her thoughts drifted to her and her allies' Turbo Duelling training just a number of days ago...

To say that the "team" of the Skeleton Knight's Riders were unprepared for their training, was the understatement of the century. Despite each of them gaining some fundamental knowledge after coming into contact with their respective Duel Runners, learning about Duel Runners and riding them were two very different subjects. Divine didn't seem to have too much trouble; unlike the other two, he at least had some experience, and soon after, he was driving circles around the other two, literally.

Tian's problem seemed to be speed and control. He could stay on the bike perfectly fine, but during movement, he kicked up on the accelerator too fast, and couldn't slow down fast enough before nearly crashing into a wall. As far as Agamae was concerned, she knew what her problems were. Unlike Tian, who was a novice at Duel Runners and Turbo Duels in general, even before he became an acolyte of the Skeleton Knight, Agamae could actually keep her speed and handling in check. What she had trouble with the most, was keeping aware of all of her surroundings; particularly, when it came to dividing her attention between driving her Duel Runner, and playing her cards in the middle of a duel.

Sure, there was always the Autopilot that she could use, but she had learned a long time ago, that it's best to tackle the harder things in life before focusing your attention on the easier ones. That didn't mean that what she was doing was any less frustrating. After her last attempt at practicing with the Skeleton Knight, and nearly toppling over her Duel Runner, she ripped her helmet off, and in a fit of rage threw it on the ground in frustration.

"Urgh! Fuck this bullshit! There has to be an easier way of doing this! How the hell am I supposed to learn all of this crap before the end of the week?! Learning it and doing it is one thing, but completing it all in less than a week's time, AND somehow do it compelling enough and convincing enough to be able to out-duel the likes of the former Signers?! Are you fucking kidding me! That's impossible!"

Her outburst not only caught the attention of the Skeleton Knight, but her partner Tian, and begrudgingly "teammate" Divine. However, the latter of the two just muttered something underneath his breath, before continuing his own laps around the track. She didn't hear what he had said, but she had a pretty good idea what it was. Leering at him as he rode past her, she had a half a mind to throw her helmet across the track and hope it smacked him hard on the other side of his face. However, before she could entertain the thought any longer, she heard the telltale sign of the Skeleton Knight's skeletal steed rearing to a stop.

In her fit of frustration, she had forgotten that she was duelling - trying to at least - against her "leader", and now that she realizes what she's done, her heart stopped. She could feel her blood run cold, as the equally dead - rather undead - warrior walked towards her. In the short distance it took for him to stand before her, her mind brought up all of the things he's shown to be capable of thus far since she awakened, but as he stared her down with his unblinking, dark red eyes, she couldn't even imagine what he could do to her in this moment of silence between them.

The silence stretched on for what she believed could have been an eternity, before the undead warrior called out from behind him, "Tian. I want you to partner up with Agamae for the remainder of your training. The two of you could help each other's strengths and cover for each other's weaknesses. I'll continue on with Divine." Leaning back, he took one more long look at her, before the cursed knight turned around swiftly, remounted his undead, skeletal armored steed, and then took off.

It wasn't until she could faintly see the dust settle from where the Skeleton Knight and his horse once stood before she refocused on the young man quickly trying to speed up to where she was without crashing. It was then that she came to the conclusion that while Divine didn't spare more than a glance at her, Tian stayed seated in his previous position before being called out by the Skeleton Knight.

She didn't know what to think of Tian. Besides knowing the obvious - that he wasn't a Japanese native, like her and that also like her, he arrived here at around the same time she did - there wasn't much she knew of him. Of course, she also knew of one other detail regarding the chinese man. She wasn't stupid, nor naive; she knew that he had a crush on her, if the stuttering and the blush he had when they first met was of any indication. She's willing to admit that if they had met under different circumstances, she wouldn't be opposed to getting to know him better.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Shaking away her current thoughts - they wouldn't help her now - she greeted the man as he just barely managed to stop in front of her without flipping himself and the bike over, "Hey, hotshot. Looks like we'll be working together for the time remaining. Care to help this ol' girl out before she pisses off dead and scary?"

But just because she wouldn't entertain any thoughts of herself and Tian together didn't mean that she wouldn't stop teasing with the man. 'This week will certainly be interesting, if nothing else.'

Agamae was shaken from her reverie when she could feel a prod into her mind. Clearing her thoughts of the events of the week before, she opened her mind, to allow the Skeleton Knight to speak to her. "Agamae, I'm tracking your progress, but even I have my limitations. Especially with so many minds in one place. It gets… difficult to keep tabs on my disciples. Have managed to find any of the bearers yet?"

"No. Too much foot traffic. I haven't felt any sort of presence in the time of riding around. But I have managed to get one of the Turbo Duelling Participation Cards. I know that getting to the others is more important than actually entering the tournament, but can't just refuse a duel outright; it would look pretty shady. Not like we have any privacy anyway, not with all of the security drones filming footage of all the duelists all over the city. You can't even pick your nose without anyone knowing where to flick it", she finished laughing to herself.

The Skeleton Knight however was in no laughing mood, "Yes, quite. And you're correct. It would attract the wrong kind of attention. I have just spoken to Tian, and he too hasn't felt any presence since the tournament began. As long as the two of you find them all, I don't care whether you make it into the finals or not. Or so was my original thought… But with Yusei Fudo's retirement a forgone and unforeseen conclusion, we'll have to speed things up."

Not liking where this conversation was heading, Agamae tentatively asked, "I'm not sure what you mean? How? I thought that ritual could only be completed within the temple, and at least a week's time of recuperation and recovery?"

'Hm. Interesting. Despite bonding with one of the more darker Duel Dragons, she seems to still have some of her previous reservations…' "Do not fret. I will be the one who will be exhausting my powers to speed up the ritual and bonding process; however, because of that, I'll be unable to assist when the time calls for it. For now, the two of you should try to become finalists in the tournament. The energy from the duels you and Tian will take place in should help speed things along. And do not worry about those you will defeat. They'll barely notice a thing. Think of it, as if they had just come back from a long run, and need to take a break. Considering I'll have to be doing this six times in less than twenty-four hours…. They'll be fortunate that that will be all I'm willing to take."

With that thought, the Skeleton Knight cut off his connection to her mind. In spite of everything that's happened to her since she joined the Skeleton Knight's Crusaders, she still had her doubts about the whole ritual and bonding process. She knew that she had come out of it stronger than before, but with that strength, something felt like it was missing. She couldn't explain, but she knew something was amiss. Yet every time she tried to figure it out, she could feel a migraine forming, just like right now. Physically shaking her head, she tried to dispel her lingering thoughts, "Nothing good will come out of questioning everything that I suspect might be wrong; it's better to just suck it up, and put up with it. After all, if I hadn't been… 'rescued', I'd still be living in that hell, and serving some undead, skeleton's wishes, is better than continuing my waste of life living in that pit."

Just as she finished her thoughts, she suddenly felt this thrum coming from within one of her deck boxes. As she continued down the road she was on, she could feel within her mind something screaming at her to take a left off of the highway. "About fucking time. I was getting bored hunting these so-called 'bearers' down. Hopefully, they'll put up a better duel than the last guy. Even if he wasn't one of them, how the hell did that chump wind up in an all elite tournament like this? Ignorance is bliss after all."

Once she reached her destination, she could feel the thrumming of power in her mind constantly now. "Whoever they are, they've got to be close by. This white-noise is giving me a headache. Hey! If you want me to give a proper duel, can't you dial it down a notch! I can barely hear myself think!"

In response, the thrumming only seemed to increase, as if the phantom noise had a mind of its own, but when Agamae flexed her considerable power, the phantom could feel the raw energy of her Void Ogre Dragon's presence, and quietly backed off. "Thank you. Ugh, I am NOT looking forward to having to repeat this two more times. But… I've got to say… if I could feel the power of my dragon again… maybe joining this little cult wasn't such a bad thing after all. I only hope Tian is having better luck than me."

Just as she finished her thought, she heard a voice from behind her, "Hey, I remember you! You were at the Kaiba Dome earlier, right? Standing next to your cosplaying boyfriend, huh? Why don't you ditch him, and come out and play with me? I'll be sure to give a wild thing like you, the best ride of your life!"

Rolling her eyes, Agamae could only only complain, almost whispering to herself, "Oh, god, please don't let this guy be the one!" Unfortunately for her, as soon as she turned around, and came face-to-face with the guy she really wanted to punch in the face, the thrumming she heard before, came back with a vengeance. "Just my luck. Here I was looking for someone to duel with, maybe even get a little card, or two, and instead I get hit on by a gigolo."

The man in question, looked about as loud and obnoxious as his attitude. Faded violet-purple hair spiked up, and slicked with so much gel, she could see the shine from where she stood. He had sharp, violet-purple eyebrows, and equally sharp, almost hawk-like eyes. Even his nose looked a bit, "beaked" shaped. Just as with his other facial features, he also had a sharp jawline and cheekbones. The man was tall, standing roughly 184 centimeters, with a charcoal grey, bodysuit, with gold, and white lines trimmed around the elbows, shoulders, and wrists, ending up into what appeared to be spikes, and a violet-purple riding jacket over the top. He had fingerless black gloves, with smaller gold spikes on each knuckle, and on his feet were traditional black and grey riding boots. The helmet he was carrying with him didn't look anything special, and his duel disk looked like the standard issue, the only differences were of the same colors as his riding suit, and from what she could tell was behind him, the same was said about his runner.

"Clearly, he values more about his appearance than he does about functionality. Why in the hell does one of the duel dragons want this guy to be its holder? Ugh, well, if I've learned anything, it's to never judge a book by its cover." Giving the man another glance over, she mentally added along, "Even if they do look ridiculous. Let's just hope he can duel better than he dresses."

Already dreading what he's about to say, she holds up a hand, and interrupts him before he can speak again. "Look, let's get something straight. I'm in a foul mood already, with a pounding headache, that's not getting any better with your constant and unwanted flirting. The man I happened to be standing with at the stadium isn't my boyfriend; he's a friend, that happens to be a man, not a boy. Furthermore, if you ever want to have anyone ever take you seriously, stop trying to hit on anything with two legs and a pair of tits. There might be some harlots out there that enjoy it, but speaking from experience, most don't. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, why don't you tell me the name of the man I'm about to defeat."

With the introduction out of the way, Agamae activated her duel disk, and placed her deck inside, standing defiantly to the man across from her.

Snorting derisively in response, all pretenses of flirting went out the window, as the brash man stared her down, activating his own duel disk, after setting his helmet down by his feet. "Ryu Saigai, the name of the last man you'll be dueling in this tournament."

"Huh. Japanese name, but his accent is English. Perhaps he was born here, and then moved somewhere abroad? England, most likely."

Agamae vs. Ryu

Agamae: LP: 8000, Hand: 5 cards, Field: 0 cards, GY: 0 cards, Banished: 0 cards

Ryu: LP:8000, Hand: 5 cards, Field: 0 cards, GY: 0 cards, Banished: 0 cards

Turn 1

As both duelists drew their opening hands, a security drone flew overhead, capturing the two duelists as they were just about to start, broadcasting their duel back to the fans in the Kaiba Dome, as well as the company of Yusei and his friends in the VIP box. But they weren't the only ones in New Domino watching; screens all across the city were watching with rapt attention, as the two duelists stared one another down.

Ignoring the security drone, Ryu begins with, "Since the lady challenged me, I think I'm within my rights to make the first move, and start things off with the Spell Card, Allure of Darkness!"

Allure of Darkness: Normal Spell Card: Effect: Draw 2 cards, then banish 1 DARK monster from your hand, or if you do not have any in your hand, send your entire hand to the GY.

As Ryu drew the two cards from his deck, a black shroud enveloped his deck. The black shroud then collapsed in on itself, banishing one of the cards in his hand. Taking another card from his hand, he activated a second spell, " Next, I play the spell Dragon Shrine! This card allows me to send a dragon monster from my deck to the graveyard, and if I happen to send a normal dragon monster, I can send another dragon monster from my deck to the grave. You might be wondering why I would do such a thing. Well, patience my dear, for I'm about to show you!"

Dragon Shrine: Normal Spell Card: Effect: Send 1 Dragon Monster from your Deck to the GY, then, if that monster in your GY is a Normal Monster, you can send 1 more Dragon Monster from your Deck to the GY. You can only activate 1 "Dragon Shrine" per turn.

As a card was ejected from his deck, and sent to the GY, the Dragon's visage, of what appeared to be Darkstorm Dragon, suddenly appeared onto the field, but was then dragged into the ground by what seemed to be the bones of a dead dragon. However, as the card disappeared beneath the earth, a shining light appeared, as the cry of a dragon could be heard. "Although Darkstorm Dragon is an effect monster while in the deck, in my hand or graveyard, he's treated as a normal monster; therefore meeting the conditions of Dragon Shrine, thus allowing me to send another dragon monster from my deck to the grave, and I choose, Eclipse Wyvern!"

Just as its name suggests, a dragon without arms, and both sides of its body reflecting its namesake was dragged beneath the earth in a cage of dragon bones, sealing it in Ryu's grave. However, as Eclipse Wyvern was sealed beneath their feet, a large shadow swallowed both duelists, and in response, Agamae looked towards the sky. Her eyes widening as an actual eclipse was taking place just before her very eyes.

"A beautiful scene, wouldn't you say? Unfortunately for you, this magnificent spectacle will be the background for your demise. When Eclipse Wyvern is sent to my grave, I can banish a level 7 or higher Light or Dark Dragon Monster from my deck. But here's the fun part, if my Wyvern is ever banished from my Grave, that Dragon I banished before with his effect, gets added to my hand!"

Eclipse Wyvern: LIGHT Attribute, Level 4, Dragon Effect: ATK: 1600/DEF: 1000: If this card is sent to the GY: Banish 1 Level 7 or higher LIGHT or DARK Dragon-Type monster from your Deck. If this card in the GY is banished: You can add the monster banished by this effect to your hand.

"It's almost ready. Time to unleash the beast! My most powerful card!"

Taking a card from his Graveyard, Ryu removes his Darkstorm Dragon from play, then immediately afterwards, a bright, white light erupts from his field, blinding Agamae for a moment, forcing her, and those watching from the security drone catching the duel on tape and sending the footage throughout there city to shut their eyes. But it was only for a moment. On the field, stood in place was a white and blue scaled wyvern, with an orb in its chest, producing a bright, shining light from within its core.

Agamae looked at its stats, and was shocked at its display. "What the?! Only 1700 attack points?! Why would you deliberately get rid of a monster that not only has 1000 more attack points, but an effect that allows it to destroy every spell and trap I could have had?"

Chuckling at his opponent's apparent confusion, Ryu simply said, "You're about to find out. White Dragon Wyverburster can't be summoned normally. I have to special summon him from my hand by banishing a Dark monster from my grave, and the only one I had was Darkstorm Dragon. But if you've been paying attention, I still have two cards left in my hand, and I'll play the second one right now! I banish my Eclipse Wyvern in my Graveyard in order to Special Summon my Wyverburster's dark twin. Come forth, Black Dragon Collapserpent!"

Removing Eclipse Wyvern from play, both Agamae and those watching all over the city and the Kaiba Dome, witnessed a dark, black hole, sucking Eclipse Wyvern into its core, collapsing the armless dragon into its mass, before suddenly, expanding rapidly, until a black and orange scaled, serpentine dragon slithered out from within the core of the black hole, levitating next to its lighter twin.

White Dragon Wyverburster: LIGHT Attribute: Level 4: Dragon/Effect: ATK:1700/DEF: 1800: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your Hand) by Banishing 1 DARK Monster from your GY, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. You can only Special Summon "White Dragon Wyverburster" once per turn this way. If this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can add 1 "Black Dragon Collapserpent" from your Deck to your hand.

Black Dragon Collapserpent: DARK Attribute: Level 4: Dragon/Effect: ATK: 1800/DEF: 1700: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Banishing 1 LIGHT Monster from your GY, and cannot be Special Summoned in other ways. You can only Special Summon "Black Dragon Collapserpent" once per turn this way. If this card is sent from the field to the GY: You can add 1 "White Dragon Wyverburster" from your deck to your hand.

Staring down the two monsters, Agamae wondered, "What is he planning? Sure these two might can keep summoning the other as long as he has monsters in his Grave, but I can't see the pay off here. It looked like he was going for a pretty big play, but…. No… wait, his Eclipse Wyvern! Since he banished it to summon his serpent that means-!"

Grinning, Ryu announced, "From the expression on your face, I can tell you've come to understand just how screwed you really are. Remember, when Eclipse Wyvern is banished from my Graveyard, the monster I banished previously to use his effect gets added back to my hand."

As Ryu finished, he looked towards the sky, staring at the eclipse that was now full circle. Hearing a dragon's cry, Agamae looked up just in time to see the eclipse begin to evaporate into black and white starlight, and in the center of it all, Eclipse Wyvern was disappearing along with it. But then, just before the beautiful display vanished for good, the black and white serpent curled in on itself, and transformed into a card that fell right into Ryu's hands.

"It's a shame that we won't be seeing more of that light show that my dragon put on for this little duel, but he has served his purpose to his fullest extent, and now, I'll carry on with my plan. My next two cards will end this duel before you can even begin your turn… From my hand, I activate the Spell, Lightwave Tuning!"

"What?! He did all of that just to set up for a Synchro Summon! Both of his dragons' levels equal 4, so combined… that means he's summoning a level 8! But… why go through all of that trouble just to summon 1 Synchro Monster? Wait a minute… if it's anything like the cards he's been playing it's most likely a dragon, and either a Dark and/or Light attribute…. And then there's that monster he added to his hand…. Since both Wyverburster and Collapserpent are Light and Dark respectfully…. Oh, no…"

Lightwave Tuning: Normal Spell Card: Effect: Select 1 Level 4 LIGHT Monster on your field; It is treated as a Tuner Monster as long as it remains Face-Up on the field.

"Now it begins! The Beginning of the End! When Light and Darkness are combined, Chaos is born! Unleash the ultimate power of your demonic and magical might! I tune the level 4 White Dragon Wyverburster with my level 4 Black Dragon Collapserpent in order to Synchro Summon the level 8, Chaos Ruler, The Chaotic Demonic Dragon!"

White Dragon Wyverburster transformed into a silhouette of light that separated into four green rings, while Black Dragon Collapserpent similarly transformed into a silhouette of itself and four bright stars. As Ryu chanted, his two dragons merged together into a swirl of bright white and pitch black darkness that combined into midnight blue with a purple hue. As the color and the energy finished its merging, the power erupted , unleashing a geyser of chaotic light that could be seen as far away as from the Kaiba Dome, the peak at the edge of the horizon. Even though the monster was a hologram, and nothing but light projections, Agamae could feel the full force of the solid vision's technology. But she could also feel the raw power coming from not just the card, but Ryu himself. As loathe as she is to admit it, if she had any lingering doubts about him and his credibility as a duelist, or in the Duel Dragon's credibility in choosing him as a potential holder, they were all swept away in this one moment.

"Holy-! That card isn't even a real monster, and yet… I can sense its power… It's just like how I felt when I faced Divine for the first time… This is real, raw, unadulterated power. Ugh, why is it always the douchebags and the assholes that have this kind of strength?"

As the brilliant light show dimmed down, a mighty battle cry that could be heard from all the way at the edge of the city took its place. Standing, or rather, floating in the place of both of Ryu's weaker dragons, was the Dragonic Ruler of both the Light and the Dark. As its name and Ryu's chant for the creature mentioned, the dragon was both demonic and magical in appearance. Black and charcoal grey scales made up most of its body, with crimson spikes located at its hips, and navy blue scales made up the "flap" of its wings. Behind its head, appeared to be what resembled a black half halo, that connected from one wing to the next, and attached to the demonic halo looked like dark red crystals that seemed to radiate some sort of power. If Agamae wasn't in trouble before, she definitely was now.

Chaos Ruler, The Chaotic Demonic Dragon:DARK Attribute: Level 8: Dragon/Synchro/Effect: ATK: 3000/DEF: 2500: 1 LIGHT or DARK Tuner + 1 or LIGHT and/or DARK non-Tuner monsters: This card is also treated as a LIGHT monster on the field, in the GY, or banished. If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can excavate the top 5 cards of your Deck, and if you do, add 1 excavated LIGHT or DARK monster to your hand, also send the remaining cards to the GY. If this card is in your GY, you can banish 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster from your hand and/or GY: Special Summon this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use each effect of "Chaos Ruler, The Chaotic Demonic Dragon" once per turn.

"This card is the most powerful card in my deck, and you have the privilege just like so many before you to witness his chaotic power. When he's Synchro Summoned, I can look at the top 5 cards of my deck, and choose one LIGHT or DARK monster from among those cards, and add it to my hand, while the rest go to my Graveyard. And should you somehow manage to destroy, or overpower my beast, then by banishing a Light and Dark monster from my hand and/or from my Grave, I get to bring this big guy back to the field. Now, go, Chaos Roulette!"

The cold, dark red eyes of the Chaos Ruler glowed a dark, bright light, as its power was channeled through the ring on its back. Each of the crystals shined a crimson red, as a card was excavated and revealed, and among them Agamae could make out cards that sent shivers up her spine. "Chaos Creator…. Chaos Dragon Levianeer… Chaos Emperor Dragon-! Holy shit! Any of those cards could be summoned just by banishing the White and Black dragons he has in his Graveyard… It doesn't matter if it's his first turn, or not…. Depending on who he picks… he can summon a whole swarm of Level 7 or higher monsters, and each of them would have over 2000 ATK points! If I don't get the right cards when it comes my turn, I won't have a turn left!"

Gazing at the five cards he excavated, then returning his sight over to Agamae, he could see that even though she did her best to hide it, she was intimidated, but more than that she was scared. "And who wouldn't be? I doubt even the Ace Duelling League Dragon Champion Jack Atlas, or better yet, his rival the one, Yusei Fudo could stand up to my dragonic might! Hah! This duel and this tournament is as good as mine, they just don't realise yet!"

"Hmm, decisions, decisions...so many choices, but not enough time to play them all… Eh, what the hell, might as well enjoy it while it lasts, I choose the Chaos Creator!"

The third card, just above the center crystal glowed a bright light, before it vanished, and was added to Ryu's hand. As for the other cards, they too vanished, but were sent to the GY. Agamae, to her credit, showed no outward signs of confusion, but on the inside and in her thoughts, she was stumped. "Chaos Creator? He must be waiting to summon the Dragon monster he added to his hand with Eclipse Wyvern's effect before he summons that thing. As far as I can tell, he still has 1 Light and 1 Dark monster in his Graveyard, the Dark monster he banished when he used Allure of Darkness, Darkstorm Dragon and Eclipse Wyvern also banished. Using Chaos Creator would allow him to Special Summon one of his 3 banished monsters, but he would first need to banish his 2 dragons in his Grave. But if he does that…. Then how is he going to summon that other card in his hand. Ugh, I wish he would just end his turn already, it feels as if I've been standing here waiting for my turn forever."

Chaos Creator: DARK Attribute: Level 8: Thunder/Effect: ATK: 2300/DEF:3000: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK Monster from your GY. If you control this card that was Special Summoned from the hand: You can target 3 banished monsters with different names; Special Summon 1 of them, then place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. You can only use this effect of "Chaos Creator" once per turn.

As soon as he adds The Chaos Creator to his hand, Ryu removes White Dragon Wyverburster and Black Dragon Collapserpent from his graveyard, in order to summon his monster. "I'm sure you'll know what's coming next. So without further to do, I banish White Dragon Wyverburster and Black Dragon Collapserpent from my graveyard, to Special Summon The Chaos Creator in my hand!"

The two aforementioned dragons' spirits are seen transforming into a bright white light, and pitch black light respectively, before circling one another, and exploding in a brilliant flash of chaotic power, where a well of energy was surging from, and from that well, The Chaos Creator emerged.

"With Chaos Creator on my field, I can now pick 3 of my 5 banished monsters, and Special Summon one of them, while the other two will be shuffled into my deck. And I think I'll choose the monster that I banished with my Allure of Darkness! Come forth, Dark Horus!"

Agamae watched silently, as Ryu's Chaos Creator, opened a dark, violet-purple well to another realm high into the sky, allowing the corrupted form of the Dragon God of the sun to descend from the depths of the shadows. As the dark, corrupted form of Horus continued its descent, the very world around them seemed to grow darker and darker; as if the very air itself could feel the weight and magnitude of the Dragon God's dark soul upon it, which was further grounded in by Agamae as she watched the sun, high in the sky above them, became blackened as Dark Horus finally announced its summon with a sheer battle cry, promising death and despair.

Dark Horus: DARK Attribute: Level 8: Dragon/Effect: ATK: 3000/DEF: 1800: Once per turn, after resolving a Spell Card that was activated during your opponent's Main Phase; You can target 1 Level 4 DARK Monster in your GY; Special Summon that target. This card must be Face-up to activate and resolve this effect.

"Next, I'll shuffle the Eclipse Wyvern and the Darkstorm Dragon that I banished earlier back into my deck. But we are not finished just yet. If you've been paying attention, I still have two cards left in my hand, and now I'll Special Summon another Dark Dragon monster! Since I have Chaos Dragon Levianeer, Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End, and Darkflare Dragon in my Graveyard, I now call to the field, Dark Armed Dragon!"

By this point, only one thought was coursing through Agamae's mind, "Oh, come on; this is bullshit!"

Dark Armed Dragon: DARK Attribute: Level 7: Dragon/Effect: ATK: 2800/DEF: 1000: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by having exactly 3 DARK Monsters in your GY and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. You can Banish 1 DARK Monster from your GY, then target 1 card on the field; destroy that target.

Three pillars of dark energy emerged onto the field, but just as quickly as they came, they disappeared, and in their place, the dark, corrupted form of Armed Dragon LV7 stood next to his dragonic brethren and Chaos Creator, in a threatening stance; practically salivating at the thought of ripping Agamae to shreds. But just when she thought, she might actually take her turn, Ryu still had one card to play…

"Ah, ah, ah. I'm not finished quite yet, my dear. I still have one card to play, and I'll do so right now! By banishing the Light and Darkness Dragon and Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End from my graveyard, I can Special Summon this: Lightpulsar Dragon!"

Just like with Chaos Creator's summoning, both dragons were transformed into lights based off of their respective attributes, before swirling together and merging into a single ball of energy. However, unlike before, this energy was more abundant and shining rather than the dark from where Chaos Creator was born from. Instead, this shining, radiant star only grew brighter, until it flashed into a bright, brilliant, white energy, and from that energy, the evolved form of White Dragon Wyverburster was created.

Lightpulsar Dragon: LIGHT Attribute: Level 6: Dragon/Effect: ATK: 2500/DEF: 1500: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by banishing 1 LIGHT monster and 1 DARK monster from your GY. You can Special Summon this card (from your GY) by sending 1 LIGHT monster and 1 DARK monster from your hand to the GY. When this card is sent from the field to the GY; You can target 1 level 5 or higher DARK Dragon-Type Monster in your GY; Special Summon that target.

"And with that, I can finally end my turn. Unfortunately for you, Miss Binya, I don't believe that there's much that you can really do here, so if I were you, I'd just give it up right now. You're staring down five monsters, each with a level higher than 5, and more than 2000 attack points. This is why I'm known as the Disaster Ryu Typhoon. Because I don't give my opponent a chance, and just like a real typhoon, I rip apart anyone who dares to challenge me!"

Turn 2

Agamae: LP: 8000, Hand: 6 cards, Field: 0 cards, GY: 0 cards, Banished: 0 cards

Ryu: LP:8000, Hand: 0 cards, Field: 5 Monster cards, GY: 2 Monster and 3 Spell cards, Banished: 4 Monster cards

Drawing the top card from her deck, Agamae silently regarded the cards in her hand, before staring down the field of high level and high attack power monsters on her opponent's side of the field, before replying to Ryu, "As loathe as I am to admit this, what you've pulled off is pretty impressive for your first turn, and had you gone second, you might have actually won. But because of your pride and hubris, this turn will be the end of this duel, and you'll only have yourself to blame for it."

"What?! Are you delusional?! How in the hell would I lose?! You've got nothing that can stand up to my monsters!"

Leering at her opponent from across the field, Agamae only had one thing left to say, "Yet."

"Like you Mr. Saigai, I too used to have a moniker, a name I made for myself in my home town. They used to call me Eoduun Segye Am Yeou in my native tongue. Or translated into english, Dark World Vixen, or Vixen of Dark World. As I'm sure you can gather, my speciality is utilizing the Dark World deck, but I knew before coming to this tournament that I'd have to up my game, if I wanted even a ghost of a chance at competing. So like any good duelist should, I sought out ways to improve my deck, and fortunately, I came across someone - a friend - you could say, that has a peculiar talent of acquiring, rare, almost lost and powerful cards. And with my new and improved deck, I'll finish you off in this one turn. You shouldn't underestimate someone you hardly know, kid. And now you'll pay the price! Draw!"

Drawing the top card of her deck, Agamae was pleased by what she saw, "Hm. This will do perfectly. Unfortunately, I can't use any of the new cards I 'acquired' that would aid in me summoning my Duel Dragon. I won't be doing that until we've gathered our forces, and are ready to show the world and more importantly them just how strong we really are. However, this deck will come quite handy for the remainder of this tournament, and maybe teach punks like him to always respect your opponents."

"For my first move, I'll play a Spell, Supreme King's Castle!"

Ryu, stewing in his own pride and ego, was suddenly shocked out of his thoughts regarding the so-called "vixen" he was duelling when she announced the card she played. "What?! 'Supreme King's Castle'! But that's impossible! Those cards shouldn't even exist anymore, they're so rare that they're more fiction than fact! How the bloody hell did you get your hands on those cards!?"

Enjoying the look of shock and surprise on her opponent's face, Agamae chuckled rather harshly, then replied, "What? You thought you were the only one with rare and powerful cards? That just shows how incompetent you really are. Besides, didn't you hear me from before? Let's just say my 'friend' has come across whispers of where to find such cards like these, and he's sort of a collector of those kinds of cards. But I don't need to explain myself to a punk like you; all I really need to do is reveal the effects of my card. Which, when activated, I can substitute cards like 'Polymerization' or any of its upgraded versions, such as 'Super Polymerization' for 'Dark Fusion'. In addition, should a Fiend-Type monster I control attack, or is attacked, I can send 1 'Evil HERO Monster from my Main Deck, or Extra Deck to the Graveyard, and that Fiend-Type monster gains attack points equal to the sent monster's level multiplied by 200. That doesn't sound like so much, but allow me to show you that appearances can be deceiving!"

Supreme King's Castle: Field Spell/Effect: You can Fusion Summon Fusion Monsters that must be Fusion Summoned with "Dark Fusion" with effects other than "Dark Fusion". Once per turn, when a Fiend Monster attacks, or is attacked; You can send 1 Evil HERO Monster from your Deck, or Extra Deck to the GY; Your monster gains ATK equal to the level of the Monster sent to the GY x200. (Even if this card leaves the field).

Dark Fusion: Normal Spell/Effect: Send from your Hand and/or Field to the GY Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a Fiend-Type Fusion Monster card, then Special Summon that Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon). The Special Summoned Monster cannot be targeted, or destroyed by your opponent's card effects.

As Agamae's hands left her card in her Field Spell Card Zone, a massive structure rose from beneath the Earth behind her, just as a road made of stone, and dark volcanic rock rose between herself and Ryu on his side of the field. All around them was nothing but darkness; the only light that could now be seen is the burning glow of molten lava beneath the ground in which the two duelists found themselves walking on. Like in the card's name, the mountain that rests behind Agamae was indeed a castle, a castle that appeared to be carved into the very stone itself. If Ryu had any doubts that Agamae was bluffing about her new cards, this sudden display put them all to rest.

Letting Ryu get accustomed to their new scenery for a moment, Agamae quickly moved on with her turn, "If like that, then you'll love this, from my hand I activate the effect of Evil HERO Adjusted Gold! By discarding him from my hand; I can now add 1 Dark Fusion, or a card that specifically lists Dark Fusion in its card text from deck to my hand! Watch closely Ryu, for this will be the first step to your destruction!"

Looking at her, Ryu was confused for a moment, before she raised her hand high in the sky, and pointed at the peak of the mountain. Standing there, was the corrupted form of Elemental HERO Captain Gold, with his dark, shredded cape, and his dark, demonic golden armor. The newly christened fiend uncrossed his arms, jumped, and dived towards the hellish lava lake beneath the castle to its ultimate demise. But all was not lost, because of its sacrifice, a new pact was born, and from it, Agamae was able to pluck the fusion card from what remained of her servant's form.

"It's over for you, Ryu. With this card, I will ensure your defeat! By activating Dark Fusion, I fuse the Evil HERO Malicious Edge and Grapha, The Dragon Lord of Dark World in my hand to Fusion Summon, the ultimate evil!"

A swirling mass of dark and corrupted energy appeared in front of Agamae, with the grinning, corrupted form of Elemental HERO Bladedge and the dark, dragonic lord of Dark World, combine to form a monster the likes of which this world has never seen before; that is until now.

"Malice, hatred, darkness… I call upon the dark and ancient powers! Aid me, in my time of great need! Hear my plea, hear my cry! Unleash upon the world, the bane of existence! The Ultimate Evil! Arise, come forth and descend hell upon this world! Evil HERO Malicious Bane!"

As Agamae finished chanting, the sky blackened as a dark shroud of malice descended upon the earth. The ground shook, and trembled as a cloud of shadow descended upon the field, and began coalescing into a humanoid figure. Barking, dark laughter resonated all around them, as the shadow took shape; the trembling increasing tenfold. Chunks of earth from beneath their feet dropped into the molten lake below, and although this was nothing but a hologram brought to life by the newest solid vision technology, Ryu found himself shaking in his boots, and slowly stepping away. Something had taken hold of him, something he had never felt once in his life, and try as he might to forget this feeling, he knew exactly what was coming over him.

"What the hell!? Why am I shaking like this…? This isn't real… and yet… I feel cold…. Shaken… I'm trembling as I'm thinking to myself…. Can this… Am I… afraid? Is this what true terror feels like?!"

Just as Ryu finished confirming his fears, the voracious laughter died down, as did the trembling of the earth, as the shadow's form transformed into a solid body of mass. A hulking demonic creature now stood at its queen's command. A massive monster, with blades protruded from its arms and back. The monster looked like the fusion of Evil HERO Malicious Edge and Infernal Gainer. It had the same, skin-tight, BDSM attire that Malicious Edge had, but all of the hulking mass of muscles, sharp edges and blades, as well as the tail and tattered and ripped cowl and cape. And just like with all Evil HEROes, it has a carnal, almost sadistic grin plastered on its hellish face.

Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World: DARK Attribute: Level 8: Fiend/Effect: ATK: 2700/DEF: 1800: You can Special Summon this card (from your GY) by returning 1 Face-Up "Dark World" Monster you control to the hand, except "Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World". If this card is discarded by a card effect: Target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy that target, then if this card was discarded by your opponent's card effect, look at 1 random card in your opponent's hand, then, if it was a monster, you can Special summon it to your side of the Field.

Evil HERO Malicious Edge: EARTH Attribute: Level 7: Fiend/Effect: ATK: 2600/DEF: 1800: If your opponent controls a monster; You can Tribute Summon this card with 1 Tribute. If this card attacks a Defense Position Monster; inflict piercing Battle Damage.

Evil HERO Malicious Bane: DARK Attribute: Level 8: Fiend/Fusion/Effect: ATK: 3000/DEF: 3000: 1 "Evil HERO" Monster + 1 Level 5 or Higher Monster: Must be Fusion Summoned with "Dark Fusion". Cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects. During your Main Phase; You can destroy all monsters your opponent controls with their original ATK less than or equal to this card's, also, this card gains 200 ATK for each monster destroyed this way. You can only use this effect once per turn.

At first, Ryu was worried, but as the ground settled, and the sky seemed to clear up somewhat, he began to laugh quietly to himself before bursting with a boisterous laughter. "Heh… hehahahaha! That's the best you got?! Hah! Oh, man, you had me going there, but it seems like I was worried over nothing! Sure, your monster's pretty badass looking, and he packs a serious punch, but even if you use your little field spell's effect, you won't be able to put a dent in my life points! Haha-"

"This duel is done, Ryu", Agamae interrupted, and once she got his attention, she continued before he could start interrupting her, "This duel's over, just as I said. If you had gone second, or maybe if you had put up some defense, you might have either survived for a turn, or perhaps you may have won, but you let your hubris and pride win you over. Once a turn, during my Main Phase, I can destroy every monster you control, whose original attack points are equal to, or lower than Malicious Bane's,in addition, for every monster destroyed this way, his attack points increase by 200, permanently. And just in case you were going to try to revive one of your dragons, I'll activate the Quick-Play Spell, Silent Graveyard. And just as its name implies, card effects that activate in the Graveyard for the remainder of this turn are null and void."

Silent Graveyard: Quick-Play Spell/Effect: Discard 1 card; Your opponent's card effects that activate in the GY this turn are negated.

Ryu's face lost all color and composure as the severity of the turn of events that have taken place in this duel suddenly came crashing down upon him, "N-no! That's impossible! This is bullshite! You can't do this! Wait a minute…. Y-you… somehow… you knew that this would happen! HOW!? There's no way! You cheated! You had to!"

Ignoring his outburst, Agamae pointed forward, and calmly said, "Purge his field of his precious little lizards, Bane, Hellish Blaze. I knew that given your personality and character that you would have wanted to go first, to try to intimidate me and show me what you're capable of, and I admit, what you did was impressive; just not good enough."

Ryu watched helplessly as his field of some of the most powerful Chaos monsters in the game were completely eviscerated by a single monster. With Silent Graveyard's effect, he couldn't use Lightpulsar Dragon, or Chaos Ruler's abilities. He was completely and utterly defeated, and he knew it. Unfortunately for him, the brutal punishment that was in his future was just getting started.

As each monster was consumed by the blaze of destruction, Malicious Bane's power increased to a grand total of 4000 attack points, but as Ryu will soon find out, he's going to be introduced to a whole new world of pain. "Now, that that's been cleared away, I think it's time to finish this. You may notice that my monster only has 4000 attack points, and if you were smart, you'd know that even with my field spell's effects, if I attacked you, and sent an Evil HERO Fusion monster to the Graveyard, it still wouldn't be enough to finish you off, since all of the most powerful Evil HERO monsters only have a level of 8, but that's where this guy comes in. By banishing Evil HERO Sinister Necrom from my Graveyard, his dark spirit will allow me to call forth another Evil HERO monster from either my Grave or Deck, so, I'll banish Evil HERO Necrom from my Graveyard, in order to Special Summon Evil HERO Infernal Gainer, and with his effect, I can banish him for two turns, in which time, a Fiend-Type monster I control can attack twice during each Battle Phase for the two of my turns that he's gone!"

Evil HERO Sinister Necrom: DARK Attribute: Level 5: Fiend/Effect: ATK: 1600/DEF: 1800: You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon 1 "Evil HERO" monster from your Hand, or Deck. You can only use this effect of "Sinister Necrom" once per turn.

Evil HERO Infernal Gainer: EARTH Attribute: Level 4: Fiend/Effect: ATK: 1600/DEF: 0: During your Main Phase 1; You can banish this card from the field, then target 1 Fiend-Type monster you control; that target can make a second attack during each Battle Phase while you control it Face-Up. Once per turn, during your second Standby Phase after activating this effect; Special Summon this card.

Popping open her Extra Deck, Agamae sends Evil HERO Dark Gaia to her Graveyard, thus further increasing Malicious Bane's ATK points from 4000 to 5600. "And now to end this little game; I activate Infernal Gainer's ability, by removing him from the game, my Malicious Bane can attack twice! Malicious Hellfire!"

The spirits of Agamae's Infernal Gainer and Dark Gaia could be seen in the background behind Malicious Bane, as it gathered black and blue flames in its hands. Grinning maliciously, like its namesake, the empowered demon unleashed its hellish darkfire, engulfing Ryu as his life points plummeted to 0.

Duel Result: Winner: Agamae Binya

Ryu collapsed to his knees muttering to himself about how he could have lost. Rolling her eyes at the overdramatic reaction, Agamae waited until the security drone left, before enacting her part in the Skeleton Knight's plan. Taking the blank card that's been reacting to the duel since its inception, she threw it to him just as he had finished his… whatever he was doing beforehand.

Staring at the blank card, Ryu was admittedly confused, but at the same time… intrigued. He could feel a connection with the card as he held it in his hands, as if the card itself was bonded to him. Looking up at the woman walking towards him the only intelligible thing he could come up with was, "Huh…?"

In response, "Don't thank me. I still think you're an obnoxious, arrogant, misogynistic, blowhole, but….you're an impressive duelist; you just need some humility, and correction, and then maybe, you won't be such a douchebag. That card there can help you become an even better duelist, but it will only reveal itself when it's needed. My "friend" can help you too. Just something to consider. Now, if you don't mind, I'll be taking that Standard Duel Card; after all, I got a tournament to enter."

Taking the procured card from his other hand, Agamae walked back to her bike, and fastened herself before revving up her Duel Runner. Looking at her opponent, and potential future teammate - the thought made a shiver go up her spine - and not the good kind, "Who knows, you've still got some cards left, we may actually see each other there, see ya later."

Quickly exiting the alleyway, Agamae lamented to herself, "Hope you got your kicks, Skeletor. I'm not looking forward to doing this two more times. Hopefully Tian is having a better time than me."

A/N: Finally managed to finish this. This will likely be my last update for the semester, and for that I apologize. I had a hard time writing this one, just because of class. I'm exhausted by the time I'm finished and on days I can go home early, I usually just crash for the rest of the day. I've only got a few weeks left of classes, so I probably won't be writing anything during that time because of finals. Hopefully this is an okay chapter, I didn't really have a good way to end it, and then I just sort of started writing what was coming to me by the end. Happy early holidays!
