First of all, we now move on to Volume 2 and the changes that Jade would bring, no doubt with Cinder and her merry gang now arriving in Beacon, you can expect both of them to try and hurt/sabotage or humiliate each other when they get the chance. Oh, this gets me so excited about their interactions in this Volume.

Also, wow! As of writing this, I have 21 favourites and 30 followers. This really means a lot guys, no really, I am happy that many of you enjoyed my work despite my shoddy beginnings that need rewriting but again. Thank you all who have supported me by following or favouriting my work.

Next of all, Merry Christmas my fellow readers and I hope all of you received good presents in a couple of days! Enjoy yourselves for surviving this shitty year, let's hope that next year there will be improvement… Hopefully...

Chapter 12

Best Day Ever?

It's been quite a while since the team visited the beaches and the second term had just begun. All of team RWBY (and Jade) can be seen at the canteen with their sister team JNPR, everyone (except Ruby) can be seen enjoying their meals and chatting with each other. What is different is that Blake is no longer covering her ears with her bow. That requires a flashback of sorts.

Two days ago…

"Blake?" Jade asked Blake as both were cuddling in bed as the others were still sleeping in the morning.

"Yes Jade?" she asked back.

"Do you remember the conversation we had weeks ago related to your bow?" Blake looks at Jade with a tinge of worry.

"Yes, I do…"

"Do you think it's time to stop wearing your bow to cover your ears? I mean that not in a forceful way but… I think you should stop hiding yourself. After all… You got my support, our team would back you up and I have full confidence that team JNPR would also back you up."

Blake's eyes looked hopeful about it as she whispered to Jade. "You really think so?"

"You won't know if you keep hiding it now would ya? Besides… I find you cuter if the bow was on the side of your head and not covering your ears." Jade answered honestly with a smile on his face as Blake blushed.

"Yea… I suppose it's time I stop hiding myself right?"

"Yes, I believe you have no more to hide. Don't worry, I will be with you all the way until the end. I promise." Jade assured her.

As soon as Jade finished what he said, Ruby woke up with a yawn before greeting her teammates.

"Morning guys" Ruby greeted as she got off her bed.

"Morning Ruby." Blake greeted Ruby.

Morning Rose" Jade greeted Ruby as well.

"Are you guys going to use the bathroom?" Ruby asked the faunus couple only for both of them to shake their heads at Ruby as Jade summarized for her.

"Nope… it is still early in the morning, so we are just going to continue our cuddling session." As Jade told Ruby, Blake just snuggled into Jade's chest as he gave her head pats which caused her to purr.

"Oh, ok then guess I'm going in first." Ruby states as she gathered her stuff and headed for the bathroom.

Much later…

All of team RWBY (and Jade) were about to leave their dorm when they noticed that Blake was not wearing her bow and instead, it was on the side of her head. When they asked her, the answer she gave was that she had no more to hide and thus she decided to embrace who she is as a person. This gets some positive remarks from her teammates as both sisters are proud of Blake for accepting who she is as a person, Weiss on the other hand pointed out that if she would do this, there's no going back into hiding her ears.

Blake assured Weiss and told her that she wanted to live a life where she had nothing to hide anymore. Weiss then approved of what she had said as both faunus couples shared a hug as Jade assured her that she was not making a mistake.

As they left their dorm, they encountered their sister team JNPR, Jaune was the first to notice that Blake is no longer covering her ears and that both Jade and Blake were the same species of faunus. Blake then told her friends that she wants to live a life where she had nothing to hide, so she starts by revealing her origins. Both Ren and Pyrrha approved of what Blake was doing while Nora, well… Nora just confirmed that in the future there would be baby kittens running around much to the couple's embarrassment and laughter of everyone else.

As the teams walked down the hallway, they had unfortunately walked into Cardin and his team. Both Cardin and Jade were death glaring at each other. To the others on both teams they might have seen electric sparks flying between both of them. Cardin then noticed that Blake was in fact a faunus and glared at her too. Jade, noticing this, walked up to Cardin's face and threatened him.

"Whatever you do Cardin, do not harm Blake… less you will be stuck in the nursing room with broken bones and crushed balls to go with. That's my warning to you. Now, get out of our sights."

Cardin angrily grunted as he and his team walked away from team RWBY (and Jade) and JNPR. Jade just sighed as he faced Blake.

"Well, I suppose that is going to happen one way or another. But… he should not be bullying you anytime soon." Jade assured Blake as both of them hugged again.

And now we resume back from our flashback.

In the Beacon Academy dining hall, Team RWBY (and Jade) are sitting together as Blake looks over some notes. Yang then slides up next to her partner.

"Whatcha doing?" She asked

"Nothing." Blake closes her book before she continues as Jade was beside her eating his meal.

"Just going over notes from last semester."

Yang catches a grape thrown into her mouth before commenting again"

"Lame."

"To be fair Yang, it is still advisable to go through notes from last semester, our test or exams will still contain it. So it is a good refresher." Jade Joined in as he took a sip from his juice box.

"Whatever you say, Jady," Yang says to Jade as she catches another grape with her mouth.

Nora giggles as she continues to toss grapes at Yang with her spoon. Yang catches the fruit with ease, giving Nora the thumbs up. Ruby, giving an enormous heave, slams a binder onto the table, catching everyone off guard. On the cover of the binder is written "Vytal Festival Activities, Property of Weiss Schnee". This has been hastily crossed out with a red marker pen, and with the same pen, a new title, "Best Day Ever Activities", has been written underneath.

Ruby cleared her throat as she gestures to everyone at the table. "Sisters... friends... Weiss."

"Hey!" Weiss yelled at Ruby.

"Four score and seven minutes ago, I had a dream".

"This ought to be good." Yang said as she caught another berry in her mouth.

"A dream that one day, the five of us will come together, as a team, and have the most fun anyone has ever had... ever!" Ruby cheerfully explained her plans.

"Did you steal my binder?" Weiss asked Ruby

"I am not a crook." Ruby makes "peace" signs with both hands as she assures Weiss.

"Yes, you are…" Jade thought to himself as he continued sipping more of his juice.

"What are you talking about?" Blake asked.

"Ruby has some really good ideas involving all of us Blake" Jade answered Blake's question as he held her hand underneath the table.

"I'm talking about kicking off the semester with a bang!" Ruby exclaimed with excitement as she pointed her finger at Blake.

"I always kick my semesters off with a Yang! Eh? Guys? Am I right?" Yang says a pun and expects a reaction from her teammates.

All of her teammates groaned at the pun as Jade facepalmed and muttered,

"Oh for Oum's sake…"

An apple is tossed at Yang and hits her in the face as she recoils slightly and glares at Nora.

"Boooooooooooooooo!" Nora could be heard booing Yang a table away.

"Look guys, it's been a good two weeks and between more exchange students arriving and the tournament at the end of the year, our second semester is going to be great! But, classes start back up tomorrow! Which is why I've taken the time to schedule a series of wonderful events for us today." Ruby explained her plans to her teammates.

"I don't know whether to be proud or scared of what you have in store." Weiss sounded unsure of Ruby's plan.

Yang, still glaring, picks up an apple and tosses it across the room. Offscreen, an unfamiliar voice shouts "Hey!" and Nora can be heard giggling.

"I don't know. I think I might sit this one out." Blake said.

"Well Blake, Ruby could have planned something fun like the beach we went on weeks ago." Jade tries to encourage his girlfriend to participate.

"I suppose with you it would be nice to stay in." Blake smiled at Jade who smiled back.

"Sit out or not, I think that however we spend this last day, we should do it as a team!" Weiss sounded confident as Jade realised that this is the food fight from his visions that Raphael shared with him.

"I got it!" Nora yells with enthusiasm and could be heard by the faunus couple.

"Oh boy here it comes aaaaaaaannnnnnd." Jade counted down as he sees Nora about to throw the pie heading at Weiss.

"I for one think that…" Weiss did not say her piece as she was interrupted by a pie splatting on her face.

"Splat." Jade finished it.

The pie slides off Weiss's face and all of team RWBY (and Jade) look at Nora who is the one who threw the pie, she sits down and points at Ren who has his head in his palm. Pyrrha's hand is over her mouth and Jaune simply sits staring wide-eyed while covering his ear with his palm.

Things just escalated from there as Weiss threw her food at Nora who dodged and hit another student in the back. After dodging Weiss's thrown food, Nora proceeds to Stand on her table and yell."

"FOOD FIGHT!"

Once everyone heard this, food can be seen thrown at everyone and everything. Students scream in fear as foods fly at them and many of them scamper for safety outside the dining hall. Jade knowing this was going to happen grabbed Binder and brings it to safety as Nora begins to stack tables to ridiculous heights and laughing maniacally

"Ahahahaha!"

Team JNPR is shown to be standing atop a tower of tables stacked in a ramshackle manner as team RWBY (and Jade) looked towards their sister team.

"I'm queen of the castle! I'm queen of the castle!" Nora sings out loudly.

"Blake, do you want to do this with your team?" Jade asked his girlfriend.

"I suppose you can be our reserve for now." Blake smiled and nodded at her boyfriend.

"Ok, good luck." Jade nodded back as he walked towards both Sun and Neptune who were at the door of the dining hall.

Ruby stomped her foot on a table and pointed at Team JNPR before yelling. "Justice will be swift! Justice will be painful!"

"It will be delicious!" Ruby ends her speech as she crushes a carton of milk in her hand.

"Yeah!" All of team RWBY (except Jade) raised their fists simultaneously as they cheered.

"Ah! Sun, good to see you again." Jade greeted the monkey faunus.

"Jade! You're fine!" Sun yelled out to his fellow faunus as both of them shook their hands.

"Well, yea I'm much better now thank you. And who's this friend of yours?" Jade extends his palm to the blue-haired boy.

"Jade, this is my teammate Neptune Vasilias, but just call him Neptune." Sun introduced his teammate.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Jade, Sun has told me a lot of you." Both Neptune and Jade shook hands.

"Really? Well, it's a pleasure to meet you then Neptune." Jade replied.

"So… uh what happened between you and Blake?" Sun asked.

"What's the matter Sun? Are you jealous that Blake showed more attention to me than you?" Jade responded to Sun with a shit-eating grin.

"What! I mean I.. I.." Sun started stuttering with a blush on his face as both his teammate and Jade started to laugh. Jade then continued on forward after calming down.

"Well both me and Blake confessed our feelings for each other after I woke up and well, a bunch of other stuff like going to the beaches, having dinner together and oh! Getting to share a bed with her." Jade proceeded to list a couple of stuff he did with Blake with his finger as a piece of food just missed him. Jade did not even flinch at all.

"Well, congrats my man! You got yourself a pretty girl for yourself." Sun.

"Thanks, Sun, also I should also mention that we are kind of close to the battlefield, wouldn't want any of us getting juiced do we?" Jade used his thumb and pointed back at the chaos going on.

"Yea good idea, also are you going to help your teammates?" Neptune asked Jade as they walked further back.

"I will in time, I promised Blake I'll join in when they need help, which is like soon."

"By the way, Jade, related to Blake, I noticed she is not wearing her bow, what happened to it?" Sun asked as Jade continued to survey the battlefield.

"That, well I convinced her to not let her faunus traits affect her and that she should stop hiding. I admit, she can be stubborn if she wants, it took me a while to convince her and it is just today that she agrees to stop wearing her bow to cover her traits." Jade comments as Blake uses a sausage whips it at a disarmed Nora and throws her against two soda machines.

"Wow, good job Jade." Sun congratulated Jade.

"Ok… I should join in now… Wish me luck!" Jade yelled as he rushed towards the battlefield.

At this time Pyrrha was about to barrage Blake with soda. When Jade rushes in and grabs Blake and just barely dodged the soda can barrage. Blake realizing its Jade, clings on tightly as Jade continues to pull back and dodge all of the soda cans controlled by Pyrrha.

"Blake, are you alright?" Jade asked with worry in his voice.

"Yes, I'm good thanks to you, what took you so long to join us?" Blake thanked Jade before asking why he took his sweet time to join in the fight.

"Well we got two spectators watching us and I got to make sure that they don't get caught in our fight."

"Really?"

"Yes, Blake… now rest and let me and Ruby finish this fight." Jade smiled at Blake as he put her down on to the floor.

"Go get them…" Blake then rested on the floor as Jade got up to his feet and charged straight for team JNPR while picking up two baguettes in the way.

"Looks like we got a new challenger!" Nora bellows as Jade charges in and drops kicked Jaune in the chest.

"Sorry Jaune!" Jade apologies as he gets up and clashes with Pyrrha with their baguettes.

Jade then pulled both baguettes and performed a strike only to feint Pyrrha and kneed her before dodging Ren's slash with a leek. As Jade dodged back, he tossed one of his baguettes which met Pyrrha's chest, sending her back. Jade then picked up one of the soda cans on the floor and blocked Ren's attack, Ren then tried to kick Jade which landed but Jade then punched Ren in the face with his fist which had the soda can. The soda can explode in a colour of purple, coating Jade's arm and Ren's face.

Jade noticed Ruby about to use her semblance and used his semblance to pull back as Ruby then uses her Semblance of speed to dash through the food court, causing everything to follow her through the tailwind caused by her overwhelming speed. She spins like a torpedo, creating a hurricane of food that comes back at JNPR, knocking all four members out.

"I love these guys." Sun had a face that he enjoyed the fight scene as he turned to his buddy Neptune.

'That was quite a fight… I agree with you Sun, these guys are the best!" Neptune voiced his agreement with his teammate.

Upon the battle's completion, Glynda Goodwitch storms through the door angrily, she proceeds to use telekinesis to re-organize the room.

"Children, please. Do not play with your food!" Glynda angrily reprimands both teams as she adjusted her glasses.

Nora burps aloud as both Team JNPR and Team RWBY (and Jade) try and fail to compose themselves. A screaming Yang then crashes from the ceiling into one of the tables. Glynda grumbles. Ozpin approaches and places a hand on her shoulder.

"Let it go."

Glynda sighs before she responds back to Ozpin. "They're supposed to be the defenders of the world."

"And they will be, but right now they're still children. So why not let them play the part? After all, it isn't a role they'll have forever." Ozpin told Glynda as he walked away from the scene as both teams could be heard laughing.

Much later as both teams make their way back to their dorms to wash themselves up.

"Now that's a good way to end off the breaks, Yes?" Jade asked his friends as he then received a variety of agreements and nods."

Much later... Back in the team RWBY's dorm, everyone had washed up and are now relaxing the rest of the day. It was then that Weiss chased after Ruby as Ruby had used her binder and she is not happy about it. Yang wanted to go and practice with the training droids which left the two faunus couples in the room all alone… Jade still wanted to get Blake back for kissing him in the middle of the beach in front of everyone over there but he still needs to think how…

It was then that Jade got bored as Blake went to the bathroom, it was then when he found something among the number of books Blake had kept. what he found was a copy of Ninjas of Love. Jade still remembers that erotic novel he accidentally read when he accidentally went out on a date with Blake.

"Huh… I guess Blake also likes reading this stuff… perhaps I should read it… it won't go wrong right?" Jade thought to himself. (oh it will go wrong…)

Jade began to read it and blush rapidly as time passed, it wasn't long till Blake got out of the bathroom to see Jade reading her 'book'. As soon as Jade heard Blake exiting the bathroom, his face paled rapidly as he slowly turned his head and faced his girlfriend while giving Blake a worried smile as he put the book down on his lap.

"Hey…"

"Jade, why do you have my book?"

"I got bored and found this… book."

Blake just glared at Jade as Jade laughed nervously before he tried to defuse the situation.

"Well… Blake, I'm not judging you for what you read… this stuff you read is not bad… So are we good?"

Blake's glare noticeably weakened before she smiled and walked towards Jade and sat next to him and spoke.

"Well… I suppose that I won't mind if you read it…" Blake's face blushed slightly as Jade smirked as he got an idea.

Jade then planted a kiss on the lips, this caught Blake off guard before she embraced the kiss wholeheartedly. Both began to get more aggressive and have started to make out on the bed. As both continue to make out, Blake pushes Jade onto the bed and she lies on top of Jade as both of them continue to make out, both begin to moan as they hug and embrace each other, Jade then extended his hand to Blake's butt and groped it, Blake moaned loudly as Jade squeezed her butt and massaged it, it was then that both split apart so they both can breathe, both of them were breathing heavily as their cheeks were reddened and their eyes slightly hazy as they continue to stare into each other's eyes with love and a tinge of lust in each other.

"Should we continue?" Blake asked as she had just realized what both of them were doing.

"I prefer if we keep it as it is… See this as payback for kissing me in front of many people." Jade just smirked as both laughed at Jade's payback attempt.

"So this is how you get back at me?" Blake asked her boyfriend.

"Yep… now let us continue what we were doing."

"With pleasure…"

And with that, the faunus couple continued their make out session while moaning till their team got back and caught both of them in the middle of it.

Their reaction was… mixed… Weiss was livid and proceeded to lecture the embarrassed couple about why they should not be doing such things while Yang can be heard laughing like there's no tomorrow, Ruby, on the other hand, tried to calm Weiss down despite seeing both Jade and Blake making out on the bed.

"Please… Stop Weiss…" Jade mumbled as both faunus couples hugged each other for comfort as Weiss continued to give a lecture to both of them.

"No! I'm not done yet! I can't believe you two have the gall to try and pull it off!"

"We didn't go that far… we just stick to kissing each other a lot…" Blake tried to argue but to no avail.

"Weiss please, I think they learned their lesson, you can stop now." Ruby tried to encourage Weiss to stop her lecturing on the faunus couple.

"Why stop there huh? If you really love each other, you can tell us and we can give you all the time in the world to get all active there." Yang offered some (helpful) advice for both Blake and Jade as she had a big grin on her face as she wagged her eyebrows. Both Blake and Jade began blushing rapidly, causing Yang to laugh again.

"Yang!" Ruby yelled at her sister.

"Yang! I cannot allow that to happen! It is my duty as their teammate to make sure that they don't do anything stupid or reckless." Weiss also yelled at Yang and offered her reason why. Both of them began to argue while the faunus couple just sat on the bed and stared at the scene.

"Guys! Enough!" Ruby yelled at both of them to gain their attention.

"Both of you arguing are not solving anything! Besides, Blake and Jade have already apologized for their doing…" Ruby looked at Blake and Jade as both of them nodded at Ruby that they are indeed sorry for what they did. (they still enjoy it though)

In the end, all of them spend their last day before the beginning of semester two just hanging out and playing board games and genuinely just having a good time with each other. Though Blake and Jade had to swear to Ruby that they would try to control themselves in the future. Though rather if they would actually keep the promise is another question.

And that's chapter 12 completed! YAY! We now have officially moved on to Volume 2 Oh! I'm so excited to get started on it soon! (after Christmas celebrations first…) Besides that lets move on to some I want to talk about.

First of all, Blake finally decides to remove her bow from her head. I try to make it in character with what a more confident Blake would most likely act like how she needs Jade to assure her that what she is convinced to do won't affect her that much. I also included both Blake's teammates and team JNPR overall reactions because the damn story did not cover how team JNPR reacted to Blake being a faunus so that my way on how they would react to it.

Next on our list is Jade's mention of Raphael again, he will have a play when they meet Cinder and her gang in the next chapter. In the show they never mentioned how the food fight played out but I bet that Weiss started the whole fight and Nora proclaiming that the food fight is official. (at least what I think it went out.)

Next we move on to the main course of this chapter, the greatest food fight… I admit, I wanted to include Jade into the main fight but I just couldn't do it the way that I would have liked it, So I went with an alternative choice. Jade would act as a reserve and join in later. In the meantime, Jade pays sun and Nep Nep a visit, I made this part different by Jade telling them to move back else they get covered in soda juice. Another part changed is Jade preventing Blake from getting bombarded with soda cans and him officially joining the fight for a short time, before evaluating back to safety as Ruby does the finishing blow to team JNPR

I admit… I wanted to make Jade and Blake advance in their relationship, as we saw Jade also did it as he wanted to get back at Blake. But he does not want to embarrass her or hurt her, So I made him get more… daring at Blake, after more he wanted to give Blake a cheeky kiss on the lips but as we saw… they both end up making out and both didn't advance on thankfully. And them getting caught by their teammates? Just for hilarity, after all, getting caught while making out can result in… awkward situations.

Well since it's Christmas season… What gift would you get the gang? I would get Ruby either some weapon gadgets or some really good cookies. Weiss would get uh… a photo of her team? I think it would be a good present for someone who can buy anything. Blake would be really expensive tuna or more books. Lastly for Yang, I think I would get her some really good music or something she could use for her motorbike Bumblebee. I'm including Jade because I can, and I will get him some salmon-based dish or a ticket for him and his friends to go on a holiday.
