Chapter 75
DON'T YOU FORGET ABOUT ME
Oh, I think that I've found myself a cheerleader, she is always right there when I need her. Oh, I think that I've found myself a cheerleader sh...
Zed reached over towards his nightstand, feeling around in the dark until his hand made contact with his phone. "Hello…" he mumbled groggily as he answered.
"Hey," Addison's voice sounded breathy and seductive, waking him up instantly.
"Well hello," he said propping himself up on his elbows in bed, making Milo move down lower on the bed.
"Sorry to wake you up so early, I couldn't sleep well after you left and I'm still nervous about today…"
He glanced over to the clock. "It's okay, my alarm was going to go off in like forty minutes anyway. I'd much rather talk to you."
"And I'd much rather have you here with me. I wish you had just spent the night."
He chuckled and wiped the sleep out from his eyes. "I told you...You are far too tempting and my control is only so strong."
"Oh really?" she asked in a mischievous tone before her voice dropped to an even huskier level. "Well, let me ask you a question…"
He swallowed loudly. "W-What?"
"Where does talking fall into your plan of things? We would still be waiting for prom… just… helping each other relieve a little bit of tension? Help us focus on finals?"
"Ztergoge..." he cursed with a groan. She was going to be the death of him.
Addison could have sworn she heard him drop the phone. After some quick fumbling in the background, he spoke again.
"It's a little risky, don't you think? Everyone should be waking up pretty soon…" His resolve was audibly weakening by the second.
She respected his wishes to wait before they went all the way again, but she was in desperate need of the connection that they had when they were together. Taking a deep breath, she went in for the kill.
"Come on, Z… I know you have a beautiful romantic plan for this weekend, but we haven't done anything in weeks… I know you need this too…"
"Ztergoge…" he growled again low in his throat.
She clenched her thighs together, hearing him curse in Zombie-tongue always turned her on.
As if someone flipped a switch, he took control. "Take your clothes off," he commanded.
"Way ahead of you," she sighed in relief.
He sat up straight. "You've been lying there naked this whole time?"
"Yeah… I was just about to start touching myself before I called… But I figured this would be so much more rewarding. I love hearing you come undone…"
Zed growled again. "God, I need you to touch yourself for me. Tell me how wet you are."
Addison slid her fingers between her slippery folds, moaning at the feeling. "Oh… so wet. I'm so wet for you."
"What does it feel like? Tell me everything."
She swirled her fingertips around a bit more, trying to find a good way to describe the bliss she felt. "Everything's so soft and swollen… I can barely feel my flesh because there's so much wetness." She could hear his breath coming in soft pants on the other end. "Did you start already? I don't want to miss that, either."
"Don't worry, Gorgeous. I haven't started yet… I'm just getting so turned on I can't see straight. Keep going."
"It's throbbing so badly that I know I'll explode in two seconds if I rub my clit, but I don't want to be finished yet."
"Nobody's finishing anything yet," he said roughly. "Even if you come, I'm not finished with you yet. Now, slide two fingers inside yourself. Tell me what it feels like."
"God, Zed… it's so hot… and tight… and slippery," she gasped.
"Now slide them in and out," he panted. "Does that feel good?"
She did as she was told, sliding them in deeper, already feeling familiar tingles shooting up her legs. "Oh… it feels so damn good… Are you hard for me?"
"Are you kidding?" he laughed. "I'm so hard right now that it's painful."
"I miss your cock so much," she whimpered.
He could hear her trying to catch her breath, and it took every ounce of his self-control to keep from jumping in his car and driving straight over there."
"It's all yours, Addison. Only for you."
"I want you to touch yourself now, Zed. I need to hear you too."
"Absolutely, beautiful…" He shut his eyes, remembering the last time they'd been together. The way her eyes looked up at him lovingly as she came undone, gripping him tightly… He moaned at the memory, his fist clenching his erection tightly, sliding down his shaft and back up to the broad tip.
They both cried out, feeling each other as if they were together.
"Oh god!" Addison sobbed. "I miss you… I miss feeling you so much! Zed, I want you to fuck your hand for me… Don't just stoke it, I need you hard and fast."
"Anything you want," he gritted through his teeth. "I'm all yours."
The sound of his low moans were quickly driving her crazy. "I'm so close, Z..." Suddenly, there was a knock on her door, making her snarl. "You have got to be kidding me?!"
"Addison, dear, are you awake already?" Her mother asked from the other side of the door.
She fumbled around her bed in search of her shirt. "Uh… Yeah, Mom… I'm up…" she stammered, pulling her shirt over her head.
Zed chuckled. "Interrupted again…" He could practically hear Addison rolling her eyes.
Missy opened the door. "Are you on the phone?"
Addison nodded. "Yeah… talking to Zed about finals today… Still nervous."
Her mother smiled. "You two have been studying all week. You'll do great!"
"Morning, Mayor Missy!" Zed said.
Addison giggled. "He says good morning."
"Good morning, Zed! I'll have breakfast ready by the time you get here. Cinnamon rolls for good luck!" she replied. She moved to walk back out before stopping. "Oh, and I expect extra time so I can take pictures!"
Addison shook her head. "Okay, Mom… I've got to go get in the shower. I have to be at school early to help pass out yearbooks and Zed has his final Senior Board meeting."
She clutched her chest and gave her daughter a smile. "I can't believe it's my little girl's last day of high school!"
The second her door closed, Addison let out a breath. "Well… that was close…"
Zed laughed. "A little too close."
She sighed and flopped back down onto her pillow. "I really do need to start getting ready… It still takes me twice as long as normal even with the new walking boot."
"Yeah… I need to let Milo out and then I think I'm going to go take a very long, very cold shower," he chuckled.
"You know if you had just stayed over…"
He groaned and dropped his head down. "I'll see you in a bit, Gorgeous."
Zed silently watched from the door as Addison sat at her vanity tying a pink bow into her long white hair and humming quietly to herself. She was breathtaking. He didn't think he'd ever get used to the fact that she was his other half or that he was lucky enough to still have her in his life. "There's my favorite cheerleader..."
Addison looked up and saw his reflection in the mirror before spinning around quickly. "My favorite zombie! How long have you been standing there?"
He shrugged his shoulders, slightly embarrassed. "Not for too long," he said as he walked into the room and over to where she was sitting.
"Hey… I'm not going anywhere," she said quietly, knowing exactly what he was thinking. It was the same far off look he would occasionally get since the accident.
He nodded and leaned down to kiss her. Pulling back, he smiled, "You know… I just realized that this is the last time I'll be seeing you in this…" he whispered, tugging gently on her cheer uniform.
"I'll still have it you know," she giggled. "You think I'm not going to have you wear that letterman every now and then?" she teased, running her hand affectionately down the leather sleeve of his pastel blue jacket.
"Fair enough," he chuckled as he kissed her again. "Are you almost ready? I can only hold your mom and her camera off for so long…"
Addison rolled her eyes. "I've already had to pose for about a hundred pictures this morning."
He laughed and scooped her up in his arms bridal style. "Yeah… between Zoey ambushing me when she woke up and your mom answering the door camera in hand, I think I've taken just about as many… although you may end up with some great ones of me shoving a cinnamon roll in my mouth."
The sound of a camera shutter sounded. "It's a big day, I can take as many pictures as I want!" Missy said from the doorway.
Dale laughed from behind her. "If she didn't have a campaign event this afternoon, she'd probably be attending the pep-rally to document every second of it."
"Remind me to thank Gloria for scheduling that," Addison mock-whispered.
Zed shook with silent laughter. "Yeah… you can thank her tonight at dinner."
Missy sighed wistfully as she reached for her husband's hand. "It feels like just yesterday we were having our last day at Seabrook High, and our Senior Send-off Dinner at Lillian's!"
"Yesterday plus a few decades," he teased. "But I am glad that the tradition still stands."
"Are you two going to do this when we graduate from SLU as well?" Addison asked with a hint of a giggle in her voice.
Dale's eyes lit up. "The stingray alumni do know how to throw a graduation party!"
Missy clutched her chest and dabbed at her eyes. "It'll be here before you know it… Our little girl is all grown up!" She threw her arms around her husband and started to sob.
"She's going to be a wreck at graduation next weekend…" Addison mumbled.
Dale ran a soothing hand down Missy's back and looked over her head to Zed and Addison. "If you two were looking to make a quick escape, now's your chance!"
With all the yearbooks handed out, Addison and Bree made their way over to their favorite table in the quad. As they waited for Bonzo to finish the banners for that afternoon's pep-rally with the Art Club, and Eliza to finish producing the video package that would play that afternoon and the one for graduation, and Zed to finish with the final Senior E-board meeting, they sat down and began to flip through their yearbooks.
"Bree," Addison said as she began to look through the pages. "You did such a good job!"
"Awww, thanks, Addie! I had so much fun working with the yearbook committee…we really had a great team this year..." She sniffled and grabbed a tissue out of her purse. "I just feel so lucky that they chose me to edit it!" she said as tears began to roll down her cheeks.
Addison shook her head and wrapped her best friend in a hug. Bree had been crying off and on since they picked her up earlier that morning. It seemed like any little thing could trigger a fresh round of tears.
"Sorry…" Bree mumbled.
"It's fine. It's an emotional day."
"You seem to be holding it together well enough," Bree sniffled, pulling back to dab under her glasses.
Addison shrugged. "I'm sure the emotions of the day will catch up with me soon enough. But with as heavy as everything has been, I'm trying to focus on the happy parts of today… Like the fact that my best friend put together the best yearbook ever!" she said nudging Bree. "I mean, seriously! Look at this thing!" she flipped through the book and landed on one of several pages dedicated to the cheer squad. "We looked good…"
Bree giggled and turned back a few pages, "Remember this one?" she asked, pointing to a picture of the two of them posing with Zoey at the cheer clinic earlier in the year.
"Oh my goodness! Zoey is going to flip! She made the yearbook already!" Addison laughed, turning back a few pages. She let out a gasp as her eyes landed on the picture of her and Zed dancing together after they had been crowned Homecoming King and Queen. She hugged the book to her chest. "I can't believe you actually put this in! It's literally my favorite picture of all time!"
"Of course I included it! That picture is one for the ages. I'm just glad I was there to snap it!"
Addison looked up to see Zed approaching. "Z! Look!" she shrieked excitedly as she held the book open for him as he approached.
"Love that picture! Almost as much as I love you!" he sat down next to her and smacked a loud kiss on her cheek. He took a deep relaxing breath and exhaled. "And just like that, I am down to only three remaining responsibilities as Senior Class President."
Addison pulled his face to hers and kissed him again. "How's the speech for graduation coming along?"
"About as well as both of yours," he replied with a smirk.
Addison cringed. "We really need to start working on those."
"Why?" Eliza asked as she sat down on top of the table between them. "Every speech always sounds the same and no one ever remembers them."
Bree shook her head and took Eliza's yearbook out of her hand without asking and flipped to the back to sign it. "Is that your way of saying you've finished yours?"
"Nope. I don't plan on writing one. Totally going to wing it."
"How very valedictorian of you," Addison laughed.
"Like I said, no one is going to remember it anyway."
"I thought you'd be in a better mood this morning. It's the last day you ever have to be here." Bree said as she discreetly wiped another tear away and looked down to compose her message.
"Aww, Bree… you were doing so well! You hadn't cried in almost two whole minutes!" Addison teased lovingly.
Zed chuckled as he looked over to Bree. "You should know by now that E handles her emotions by pretending to be angry or ambivalent," he said with a shrug. "Don't worry, though… She'll probably break down at some point and join in with the waterworks."
Eliza rolled her eyes. "Doubtful. While there are some things and people I will miss," she said glancing over towards Bree and Bonzo, "The idea of finally being finished with high school more than makes up for it… Besides, it's not like we're not going to be together all summer."
"Zru…" Bonzo replied with a shrug as he leaned over and kissed Bree's cheek. He took Eliza's yearbook from her and pulled a marker out of his pocket.
"Oh, Zed!" They all looked up to see Morgan making her way over to their table. "Will you sign my yearbook?" she asked with a flirty smile and a wink.
Addison rolled her eyes and growled low in her throat. "Keep walking, Morgan."
Morgan stood up straight and flashed a fake smile. "I'll miss you too, Addison. Thank goodness we'll be at Shoreline together next year! Who knows, maybe we'll even be roommates! Wouldn't that be fun!" she exclaimed before waving and walking off towards her class.
Zed let out a soft laugh and ran his hand across her thigh. "Easy there…"
"I'm so tired of her flirting with you!" Addison snapped. "I mean seriously, we weren't even really broken up! And why does she have to be going to SLU too?! Thank goodness we're already approved for an apartment..."
He leaned over as his hand went a little further up. "I meant take it easy with the growling… it's incredibly sexy…"
Her anger quickly dissipated as his whispered words washed over her. "Well, I'm glad you like it…" she practically purred. "Dr. Anderson doesn't seem to think it's going away."
"Good…"
Addison gasped as his hand brushed along her cheer bloomers. "Z…"
"What?" he asked innocently.
She arched her brow and let out a shaky breath. "Safe room?"
Before he could respond, the bell rang.
Zed filled in the final small bubble on his scantron sheet and let out a sigh of relief. He chewed on the end of his pencil as he scanned over the sheet one final time, double-checking that he hadn't skipped over anything. With a confident nod, he set his pencil down and stretched his arms up above his head, working out the kink that had formed from being hunched over for the last hour taking his AP Chemistry final. He cracked his neck and rolled his head back before glancing around the room. Bonzo and Bree were seated at the next table over, both of them still working through the test packets in front of them. Behind them, Eliza was, unsurprisingly, finished with her test and was keeping herself occupied by scrolling through her phone. His eyes finally wandered over to the beautiful woman sitting next to him. Her white hair was blocking her face from his view, but he could tell from the bouncing of her good leg that she was anxious. She had no reason to be. She had been so worried that she was still behind that they had both stayed up until nearly midnight studying for their finals today. He shook his head ever so slightly and dropped his arm down below the table to gently grab her knee.
Addison bolted upright as his hand made contact with her leg and turned towards him.
"You've got this," he mouthed before blowing her a kiss.
She smiled and nodded, returning to her test and checking over her answers one last time.
ZzZzZzZzZ
"This is our last time walking out of Chem…" Bree sniffled. "And our last time walking to lunch in the cafeteria," she sniffled, again. Bonzo wrapped his arms around her, trying to comfort her as they continued to walk.
Addison smiled and hugged onto her as well. "Are you going to do this all day? If so, the pep-rally this afternoon is going to be considerably less peppy!"
Bree wiped at her eyes. "I'm just not ready for this to end."
"I am!" Eliza exclaimed.
Bree poked her tongue out. "Oh, like you're not going to miss your minions in the AV club!" she teased.
Eliza shrugged. "Maybe a little."
Bree sighed as they made their way over to their table in the center of the cafeteria. "I can't believe this is it…" she sat down and looked around. "Four years… just think of everything we've been through together… I met my best friends and my soulmate," Bree sniffled.
"We all did," Eliza smiled, sitting next to Zed.
"Hey, I thought Bonz and I were your best friends? Last time I checked, we've known each other our entire lives."
Eliza rolled her eyes and gently elbowed him. "You are… but… I didn't realize how desperate I was for female friends until your girlfriends showed up. A girl can only handle so much testosterone in her daily life you know."
"Awww… you do love us!" Bree giggled.
Eliza laughed. "Yeah, yeah, yeah… apparently I have a soft spot for preppy pink cheerleaders."
Addison smiled and looked around the cafeteria, suddenly hit with a wave of emotion. Bree was right. A lot had happened in the past four years. Things that changed their lives forever. Her eyes started to sting with unshed tears.
"Oh, not you too," Eliza huffed, feigning annoyance.
Zed hugged Addison close to him. "You alright, Gorgeous?"
She nodded and looked up into his eyes. She could have never imagined when she walked through the doors of Seabrook High for the first time that her life would change in a single instant. "She's right. Everything started here… And now…" she didn't trust her voice to continue.
Zed looked over to Bonzo comforting Bree and then over to Eliza. "What do you say we all go take a stroll down memory lane?"
Bonzo looked up and nodded vigorously.
"If we must…" Eliza sighed as she stood up and slung her messenger bag over her shoulder.
ZzZzZzZzZ
Zed led them to the main entrance and out the front doors.
"Well," Zed said extending his arms. "This is where it all began."
Eliza arched her brow as she looked around. "What began?"
"Our first day of Freshman year," he said as if it were the most obvious thing ever. When she still didn't look convinced, he smiled and rolled his eyes as he dragged her and Bonzo towards the other door that had once been separated by a chain-link fence. "Watch it come together…" he sang.
Addison and Bree both exchanged a look and smiled as they caught on. "Be the best one ever…" they sang.
Eliza shook her head and held up her hands. "Nope. I am NOT singing and dancing."
"Suit yourself," Zed shrugged. "Because it's my time. This is gonna be my year."
"Been waiting for this moment," Addison sang along.
"Yeah, I'm gonna own it."
"You can watch me shine!"
"This is gonna be my year…"
They were standing face to face, staring into each other's eyes.
"My year."
"My year."
"This is gonna be my year," they sang together.
His hand came up and cradled her face. "It was in this very spot that I saw you for the first time…"
"Oh yeah…" Eliza said. "That was right before that Z-Patrol Guard started harassing Bonz.
Bonzo shuddered at the memory.
Bree walked over to him and hugged him. "This is also the spot where you asked if you could walk me home for the first time."
"And where our giant banners would hang," Addison added pointing above the doors.
"I still want to see about keeping one of those," Zed laughed, draping his arm around her shoulders.
Addison giggled and leaned into him.
"Alright, what's the next stop on this little tour?" Eliza asked.
"Basement?" Zed asked with a shrug.
"Um, pass. I've seen more than enough of that dingy, dust-filled, poor excuse for a classroom. I don't need to revisit."
"Za," Bonzo added.
"Just one more example of just how much has changed these last four years," Bree said as she snuggled into Bonzo's side.
"Let's just walk around then," Zed offered. "It's not like every square inch of this place isn't jam-packed with memories." He leaned down and swept Addison off her feet. "I'd ask if you need a lift, but this might be my last chance to carry you around campus."
She giggled and pulled his face down for a quick kiss. "I'll allow it, not because I need the help, but because I love it when you do this."
The five of them walked in silence through the empty halls that had been decorated to commemorate their last day of school, allowing the weight of the day to finally sink in.
"This was a terrible idea," Eliza sniffled, wiping at her eyes with her shirt sleeve.
"Ha!" Bree exclaimed. "I knew it!"
Eliza rolled her eyes and playfully pushed Bree. "Yeah, yeah, yeah… you got me… I am going to miss this… Especially all of us being together every day."
Bree and Bonzo both pulled her into a hug.
"But like you said earlier, it's not like we won't see each other all summer," Bree managed to get out through her own tears that had started to fall.
Zed and Addison both exchanged a look. He set her down and both of them joined in on the group hug.
The five of them stood there, in the middle of the hallway, hugging, crying, reminiscing, and laughing about their time at Seabrook High. None of them able to believe that it was truly coming to an end.
"Promise me something…" Addison said as she wiped her eyes. "No matter what happens, we'll always be best friends."
"We're more than friends," Bree sniffled.
"We're family," Eliza finished.
"And family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten," Zed added.
Eliza rolled her eyes. "And… I draw the line at Disney quotes," she teased, wiping at her eyes again. "Okay, I need to head over to the Computer Room and make sure everything's ready for the pep-rally."
"Za… Zand," Bonzo said, motioning towards the band room.
Bree sighed and hugged them all again. "And Addie and I should probably start heading over to the cheer room."
"Actually…" Addison said, squeezing Zed's hand tightly. "There's one more spot I want to revisit with Zed. I'll meet you up there in a few."
They all said their goodbyes and went their separate ways.
"So…" Zed said as they slowly walked at Addison's pace down the hall. "Where to my dear?"
"You may have noticed me for the first time out front, but that's not where our story began…"
He smiled wide and swooped Addison off her feet, kissing her. "I'd say that's a location that we definitely need to stop in one last time," he chuckled practically sprinting the rest of the way. He set her back down on her feet and opened the heavy metal door.
The memories hit them hard as they walked through the dim, concrete room.
"Oh if these walls could talk…" Zed whispered.
"It's probably a good thing they can't," she laughed, kissing his cheek.
He chuckled and slid across the floor in a smooth dance move. "I know it might be crazy but did you hear the story?"
Addison giggled and pressed a finger to her chin, pretending to be deep in thought. "I think I heard it vaguely."
"A girl and a zombie."
She wrapped her arms around his neck. "Oh tell me more, boy… sounds like a fantasy…" Her hand slowly traced down his chest as she looked up into his eyes. "This room will always hold a special place in my heart."
"I'll never forget how beautiful you looked just before you punched me in the face," he laughed.
Addison giggled and pulled his face down to hers so she could place a gentle kiss on his nose. "And I'll never forget the feeling of looking into your eyes for the first time and feeling safer than I ever had in my life."
"I love you so much, Gorgeous."
"I love you, too, Handsome… You and me, side by side… forever."
His hand traced down the side of her face as he closed the small distance between them and kissed her. He had intended for it to be a soft and sweet kiss, but Addison clearly had other ideas.
A loud moan fell from her lips as her fingers pulled at his hair, deepening their kiss. She bit down on his lower lip.
"Those teeth…" Zed snarled, his hands grabbing her roughly making her moan again.
She smiled and bit his neck, loving the feel of his hands on her. It had been far too long since she had felt him give into his rougher side with her.
With a quickness that surprised him, she had his pants undone and along with his boxers, pushed to the ground in seconds.
"Addie," his voice was hoarse as he shuddered against her.
"I want one more memory in here…" she whispered, biting his ear hard. "Please?" He growled deep in his chest, sending a shudder of the desire through her body.
"You know I can't tell you 'no'…"
Taking a moment to look up into his eyes, she smiled victoriously at seeing them nearly black with desire as she slid to her knees before him. Never breaking their gaze, she allowed the tip of her tongue to run from the tip of his arousal, swirling it around to catch the droplets of moisture that dotted the crown. She moaned at the taste of him.
Zed clenched his hands into fists, the image of Addison on her knees before him in her cheer uniform would be burned into his brain forever, the feel of her tongue stroking him, nearly too much to handle. His hands slowly unclenched and he buried them in her hair, gently guiding her head as she took him deeper.
Addison hummed against him as she wrapped her lips fully around his shaft, using her hands to move in tandem with her lips, his low moans and growls turning her on as she grew wetter between her thighs.
Zed could feel himself building to a peak, the sensations overwhelming him.
A knock sounding from the other side of the heavy metal security door cut through their lusty haze. "You in there, Z-Dog? We need to head down to the gym for the big send-off."
Addison growled. "Seriously, Murphy?!" She let out a rough exhale of frustration and looked up to Zed. "Always interrupted!"
"Some things don't change…" he chuckled as he helped her up to her feet. "Be right out!" he called over to the door.
"I really can't wait for this weekend," she whispered.
He whimpered as her hand wrapped back around his still hard cock. "M-me either…"
"You're the one stopping us," she reminded him with a smirk.
"Addie…" he whined.
"I know… but if we're interrupted Saturday night, I can not be held responsible for my actions," she warned.
He chuckled and wrapped his arms around her, kissing the top of her head.
As he stood there holding her in his arms, he took one final look around the safe room. Her words from earlier ran back through his mind. This was where their story began. With one look into her brilliant blue eyes that very first day, his life was changed forever. A smile spread across his face as a plan began to take shape.
As images of their last few years flashed across the large projection screen set up in the gymnasium, even Zed had to wipe away an errant tear. He played it off by wrapping his arm around Addison next to him. It had been an emotional pep-rally already, but watching this really made the fact that they were leaving high school feel real.
As expected, Eliza had been named Valedictorian, with Addison, despite missing time after the accident, being named Salutatorian. Zed had cheered the loudest by far, making both his girlfriend and his best friend blush with embarrassment. They got their revenge when he delivered his speech as the outgoing Senior Class President.
Addison and Bree had handed their Captain's Whistles over to their successors and stood back with the rest of the senior squad members as the new captains led the rest of the team for the first time. Bree cried the entire time, holding onto Addison who wasn't fairing much better. She had immediately limped into Zed's waiting arms when they had finished and buried her face in his chest until she could get it together enough to pay attention to what Principal Lee was saying.
Now, as they all sat and watched the slide show begin to come to a close, the sounds of the senior class song started to play. In keeping with this year's prom theme, their class had chosen an 80's classic. Simple Minds, Don't You Forget About Me.
Addison wiped at her eyes, laughing as a picture of her wearing Zed's football helmet and pretending to run a play as Zed held her pom-poms and cheered came up on the screen. She looked over and met his eyes.
"You want to sing along… don't you?" He whispered.
She nodded enthusiastically through her tears.
He rolled his eyes playfully and leaned in to steal a quick kiss. "The things I do for you…" He threw his head back and belted out "Don't you forget about me! Don't, don't, don't, don't, Don't you…" as loud and as badly as he could.
After a quick outbreak of laughter, nearly all the Seniors had joined in, standing up and linking arms as they swayed from side to side, singing and crying together.
"As you walk on by…
Will you call my name?
As you walk on by…
Will you call my name?…
I say…
Ooh la, la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la…"
A spontaneous dance party erupted as they sang and jumped around.
"La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
La-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
La-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la…
When you walk on by
And you call my name!"
It was a send-off none of them would ever forget.
As the crowds began to disperse, Zed leaned over to kiss the top of Addison's head.
"It's all over…" she whispered, knowing he would hear her even over the noise of the crowd and not trusting her voice to go any louder without crying. "This is the last time we'll be here before we graduate next weekend."
Zed turned her so he could wrap her up in a tight hug. He hated to see her cry, even if it was just for sentimental reasons. Suddenly an idea popped into his head that was almost guaranteed to put a smile back on her beautiful face. "Hey, We've still got time before we need to head over to the Country Club to start decorating, I think I owe you an end of high school date."
"An end of high school date? Is that a thing?" she giggled looking up into his eyes.
He shrugged and smiled, happy to know his idea worked. "Why not?"
Addison reached up on her tippy toes to ruffle his hair. "You spoil me so..."
"Come on, gorgeous. Let's get out of here."
With one last look around they walked out of the school hand in hand.
ZzZzZzZzZ
"So…" Zed said as they neared his car. "We've got about an hour before we need to meet everyone. Any place you want to go?"
"Something quick might be a good idea..."
"How about Cheery On Top?" he suggested.
"Perfect! We can even eat in the car if we want to."
"Oh really?" he smirked, recognizing the devilish glint in her eyes. "Have something else in mind?"
"Well…" she blushed. "I mean, it might be nice to be able to eat and talk just the two of us… without anyone interrupting us."
He let out a snort. "Sounds good to me. I feel like we haven't had any uninterrupted time since…" he stopped with his hand on the passenger door as he opened it for Addison. "Has it really been since the championship game?"
"Yup," she said, popping the p at the end. "Almost three whole weeks without us being able to do a damn thing more than kiss without someone interrupting us… Feels like old times again."
He shook his head and walked around to the driver's side and got in. "We did a little more than kiss earlier in the safe room, Gorgeous."
"Nope. Doesn't count. We didn't get to finish."
He shook his head again and chuckled as he backed out of his parking spot.
A few minutes later he pulled into a spot at the frozen yogurt stand and they went up to the outside to-go window, ordering one chocolate shake and one vanilla cone. Addison rolled her eyes as the young girl behind the register giggled and flirted shamelessly with Zed, reminding herself that she needed to at least attempt to keep her newfound zombie rage in check and not dump her chocolate shake over the dimwit girl's head.
"My God," Zed moaned to himself behind her as he helped her back to the car.
"What?" she very nearly snapped as she turned around defensively, fully expecting him to tease her about it.
"I just… you're really sexy when you growl, that's all." He ducked his head, if he could blush his cheeks would have been tinted pink. When he looked back up and their eyes locked again, Addison almost forgot how to breathe. They both knew without saying that they were thinking the same thing.
Trying to ignore the sudden rush of heat through her body, Addison grabbed their milkshakes from him and finished hobbling towards the car. "Uh… let's get going before these melt."
"Any particular place you'd like to park?" The heavy-lidded gaze he gave her as he climbed into the car was enough to make her need to wipe her chin.
"Somewhere… private?" was all she could squeak out.
He said nothing in return, only inhaling sharply once before tearing off in the opposite direction along the coast. They reached the bluffs in record time and ate their frozen treats even faster, although it was rather distracting for both of them. They tried to talk about their upcoming schedules as they ate, but Zed found himself staring as she wrapped her lips around the straw of her shake and sucked, her cheeks hollowing out, and her soft moans as she swallowed and licked her lips, and Addison couldn't keep her eyes off of his tongue as he licked and swirled around the frozen yogurt expertly.
"Okay, I'm just going to say it," she finally declared after a few more longing glances at each other. "This is really…" she tried to think of a word that wasn't hard. "Difficult."
"I know," he sighed, nodding his head in agreement. "It's taking all I've got to keep myself from attacking you right now."
"May I ask why you brought me all the way out here when you don't want us to do anything yet?"
"Well, you said you wanted privacy. This was the first place that popped into my head. Besides, I never said we couldn't do anything." He waggled his eyebrows at her playfully, which only caused her to moan louder. "What's wrong?"
"Would you please stop making such adorable faces?" Addison whined.
"Why?"
"Because the cuter your face gets, the more I want to sit on it!"
"Ztergoge!" he hissed through his teeth, lunging across the console at her and sending their bag of trash flying in the process.
His lips crashed into hers with an almost painful force, his tongue possessing her mouth hungrily as he pulled her to him. Once Addison realized what was happening she responded eagerly, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and sliding her hands up the back of his neck until she was anchoring his head against her, kissing him with everything she had.
"You just… can't… say stuff like that, Addie!" he moaned into her mouth, punctuating his words with flicks of this tongue around hers, sucking her bottom lip between his teeth for emphasis.
"Why?" she gasped, her lips already swollen from his kisses. "It's the truth."
"Because my control is so weak right now, it could snap at any second! Here, feel!" He grabbed her hand and ran it down his abdomen, bringing it to rest on the prominent bulge in the front of his jeans. "Feel what you're doing to me?!"
"Oh God," she moaned, closing her fingers around it, cupping him firmly. "Then do something about it! Fuck me and put us both out of our misery!" She began to tighten her grip, rubbing and squeezing him through his jeans until his eyes were rolling back in his head.
"Addie," he whimpered, forcing himself to look at her again. "Please… just a couple more days."
"This is just torture!"
"Saturday," he panted, leaning over to place open-mouthed kisses down her neck. "I swear." He lapped a bead of sweat that had collected on her collarbone before shifting and starting back up the other side of her throat. When he reached her earlobe he sucked it between his teeth, nibbling lightly and pulling back to whisper in her ear. "I love you so much."
"I love you, too…"
His hand began to wander up her side, stopping close over her breast, the firm peak of her nipple poking into him more fully and she cried out, her head reeling from an overload of sensation.
"Zed… please… I need…"
"What do you need, beautiful girl?" he said in the most delicious, husky whisper against her skin, his tongue and lips making her forget her own name. "Tell me…"
She could barely think, her head was so foggy with lust, so she let her body take over for her. Giving his erection a final squeeze before letting go, loving the hiss it caused him to make against her mouth as they kissed, she slid her hand back between their bodies until she could slip it inside the waistband of her cheer skirt, and then down farther, inside her panties. She was met with an embarrassing amount of wetness, her outer lips slick and swollen with desire. Sweeping two fingers across her heated sex, she pulled her fingers back out and held them up in front of his face.
He stopped everything he was doing, transfixed at the sight of her fingers coated and dripping with her moisture. A primal shudder ran through him, making his cock grow impossibly harder. Before he could gather his wits enough to say anything, Addison shoved them between his lips.
At the first taste of her fluids on his tongue, a loud growl ripped loose from his chest and echoed around them, rattling the windows. Zed began sucking on her fingers furiously, worried that he might pass out from the absolute heaven of finally tasting her again. Only when he had lapped up every drop could he pull away long enough to snarl two words at her.
"Back. Seat."
She didn't need to be told twice, scrambling out of the car, she hopped over to the rear door, flinging it open. The sound of her cell phone ringing barely registering as she closed the door and took off her cheer top.
"Don't you need to get that?" Zed asked as he joined her, his lips already trailing kisses down her shoulder.
"No… ignore it…" she moaned as his teeth scraped along her collarbone.
Incoming call from ELIZA the car's Bluetooth announced over the speakers.
"Don't you need to…" she gasped as he laid her back onto the seat, hitching her leg around his waist.
"Ignore it…" He whispered, grinding against her. His fingers teased her nipples as she latched onto his neck.
Incoming call from BREE
They both growled in annoyance as they looked over to the clock on the dashboard and realized they were now running late.
"Saturday…" he said, trying to calm himself down. "Just two more days..."
