Weeks Later

Lucas felt a huge wave of relief wash over him. Feeling urburdened for the first time in a long time. He sold his former home that was beside Peyton. And now lived in a home that was a distance away from neighbors. The house was multi leveled. With 4 bedrooms. The master, one for each of the boys and a room for Rosemary. It only felt right to include her. He hoped Brooke wouldn't mind that.

Hearing a knock on the front door of his home. Lucas felt excited to see Brooke. To have her see his new home. Where their sons would be spending time eventually.

Lucas opened the door. Closing and locking it as Brooke made her way inside.

Brooke gazed around the entryway. Then over at Lucas.

"I like it so far." She said. Making a note of the colorful walls and spaciousness.

"I can give you a tour if you want one.?" Lucas suggested.

"That would be great." Brooke replied.

It was then that Lucas lead the way towards the living room. Then the kitchen. Lastly the guest room all of it on the same floor.

Brooke taking in the sight of everything she saw. This was clearly bought with a family in mind.

When they got the bedrooms. Lucas showed her the room he had picked out for Ryan and Kennedy.

Spacious. Full of natural light. She figured that would be the end of it. But when he showed her the remaining bedroom at the end of the hall he had picked out for Rosemary. She was touched.

"You didn't have to do that. She isn't expecting to be included in this." Brooke sad.

"Well then it will be a nice surprise. For her then. I want her to consider this place as a second home like hopefully her brothers will in the future." Lucas replied.

"I appreciate you making her apart of it. It'll mean alot to her. It means alot to me. Ryan is looking forward to having dinner with you tonight." Brooke said.

"I am too. Kennedy is more then welcome to come along. Make sure he knows that." Lucas said.

"I will. My advice take things slow. Knowing Ryan he'll never run out of topics to talk about. He is generally interested in getting to know you." Brooke said.

"I'll keep that in mind. I owe you an apology. When i found out about the boys. I didn't know how to react. I kept my distance. I stayed next door neighbors with Peyton for alot longer then i should of. And of course the letter i wrote you." Lucas said.

An expression of pain went over Brooke's face at the mention of it.

"You didn't deserve that. The letter. How i didn't contact you afterwards. Maybe if i did. And actually fought for you the way you do when you love someone. Things could of been different." Lucas said.

"Thank you. I just want to know. Need to know. Pregnant or not. Would i be the woman you choose.?" Brooke asked.

"Yes. I know my words don't match my actions. But i'm telling you the truth. Honesty is the only way i live these days." Lucas replied.
