Chapter 13: Reunion
Amy: Woah! Oof…
She falls on the ground at the other end of the cave.
Amy: Shadow?
Shadow: mmm mmmmm…(you're on top of me).
She looks down and see's her sitting on Shadow.
Amy: Gasp* Oh I'm so sorry shadow! {Blushing}
She hops off and dust away dirt from her coat.
Shadow: It's Fine.
They look around and see something crazy different. They're not in a winter wonderland anymore. The whole environment looks jungle like.
Shadow: What the Hell?
They look back at the cave.
Amy: Think we should keep moving?
Shadow: Yeah
They walk through the jungle. Amy starts sweating.
Amy: Oh man how does it turn from a winter wonderland into mid summer?
She stops and takes of the coat and puts it in the bag that Kimira gave her.
Amy: Good much better now to catch up with shadow.
She hurries up just to find shadow standing in the middle of a trail.
Shadow: these trails lead somewhere. Which way do you think we should go?
Amy: Hold on…
She walks to a tree with moss and a bush
Amy: "North… west. So the trail leads west." Her reading west and north.
Shadow: you know where we're going?
Amy: Yeah… Kimira told me where we could find another village. Plus it's a little survival trick I picked up just in case.
Shadow: Smart.
They start walking down the trail.
Shadow: Are you sure we can trust these people?
Amy: Don't know but maybe they'll help.
Shadow: Yeah and they probably are 3rd world hunters and try to eat us.
Amy: I doubt it, plus if they try something, I got fingers ready for piko. Plus you're the ultimate life form so I think you can take on the inhabitants.
Shadow: Yeah- Cough* cough*
Amy: Are you ok? We can stop anytime?
Shadow: no… Cough* im fine… I'm ok.
Amy: Sure…
Two minutes past and Amy is seeing movement all around them. She hears birds chirping and shadow coughing more.
Amy: Shadow! I don't think we're alone here.
Shadow: cough* cough*
Amy: Shadow?
She walks up to him and sees him bleeding from the mouth.
Amy: Shadow are you alright?
Shadow: Cough* I'm… I'm fine… stay back!
Amy: his whole demeanor is changing. And his eyes. She says in her head.
Amy: Shadow you should stay here while I go get help. The other village shouldn't be far.
She looks at shadow's hand. The hand with the tattoo covered appeared below his wrist. His eyes start to glow a bit purple. The mark starts to spread a little bigger up his arm to his elbow glowing and easily visable like it's a virus.
Shadow: Stay… back…
His voice changed and he has his hands up reaching for her. Amy see's a shadow grow around him. a black aurora that looks paranormal around him growing like it's a monster. Amy reacts and pulls out Her Piko hammer.
Amy: Shadow, Somethings different about you lately, and I stood by watching for far too long. Whatever's wrong with you lately… It ends now.
A dart gets sent to her shoulder and she finds herself on her knees and falls on the ground.
Amy: What… happened… Sha- Shadow…
She looks at shadow walking towards her and blacks out. Shadow stands above her and kneels checking on her. he removes the dart and someone walks out of the bushes. It's a leopard along with a lynx. The leopard is holding a blow dart tube and the lynx has his spear ready.
Shadow: Please… Help her!
He powers down and collapses next to her.
The leopard and lynx get the message and carries both of them to the village.
15 MINUTES LATER…
Amy: Unngh my head is throbbing…
Mysterious voice: Kmshuda… Ooos'la
Knuckles: God, Woman back up! You're practically kissing her!
Rouge: Shut up! I think she's starting to come around.
Amy: "Great now I'm hearing voices… a lot of them." She says in her head.
Knuckles: … Actually, get closer.
WHACK!
Amy: KYAAAAAAAA!
Rouge: Surprise!
Amy: Knuckles! Rouge! The both of you are still alive.
Sally: and me!
Amy: Oh hey sally… wait you got sucked in too?
Sally: Along with Sonic.
Amy: Is he alright?
Sally: He's fine. He's asleep in one of the huts.
Amy: whoo… Good. Wait where's…
She looks behind her.
Amy: Shadow?
He's breathing hard and is in pain grunting his teeth.
Shadow: crying in pain* HAAAA…
Amy: Shadow!
Rouge: Hey you! Let em go will ya? I told you they're harmless
Guard: hmph.
He glares at Amy.
Ydolem: Release them!
Guard: hmm…
He turns back to see the village priest and leader.
Ydolem: Well what do we got her?
She looks at amy for a moment and looks at shadow:
Ydolem: hmm… that is no ordinary injury. Bring him to my hut!
Guard: Sagul! Bramado te Hedgehog!
They pick shadow up by legs and shoulders and bring him to the hut. One of them cuts Amy's Rope.
Amy: Thanks
The guard bows.
Ydolem: Hey! Amy right?
Amy: Yes. Wanna come with? I'll explain everything in my hut.
Sally: You should go with her. I'll go check on sonic.
Amy: Right!
She follows them to her hut. They enter there with him and cut his bonds and sit him on a mat.
Ydolem: Good, Leave us. T
hey bow and walk out. Amy sees them leave and enters
Ydolem: Honey will you grab that green bottle of the shelf?
Cream: Sure!
Amy: Cream!?
Cream: Amy! you made it!
She flies to amy and gives her a big hug and and cheese hugs her and she hugs back.
Amy: Oh my gosh I didn't expect you guys to be here.
Cream: we jumped in after you.
Amy: and you're mother?
Cream: she's back home with tails and the others.
Amy: Hmm… well as long as you're alright.
Cheese: chao chao!
Amy: "Hey little guy." She puts her finger out to cheese and she hugs.
Cream: So what happened to Shadow?
Amy: Uhhhh… long story.
Cream hands the green bottle to Ydolem
Ydolem: Thanks cutie! She opens up and rubs it on shadow's side.
Shadow: "aaa…" he starts grunting.
Amy: will he be okay?
Ydolem: "physically yeah." She puts her hand on shadow. "hmm…" she closes her eyes.
Cream: is everything alright?
Ydolem: Yeah… oh… oh my. You lived through so much pain, haven't you? Hey Cream can you pass me that blue bottle up there?
Cream: sure!
She grabs it and passes it to her.
Ydolem: Thank you.
she opens it and eats one of the blue medicnes. She opens shadows mouth and blue fire comes from her mouth and enters shadow's
Amy: What's that?
Ydolem: hmm.. (swallow) blaahh… Old technique we used to help the sick. Hey Cream may you go get some water for him?
Cream: I'll be back!
Her and cheese grab a bowl off the shelf and go out to get water.
Ydolem: I seen this before. Your friend here. Is fighting personal demons. He's not from this World, is he?
Amy: Well… Yes and no.
Ydolem: Hmm… this commonly happens to children but not a lot around here and it most often happens to people that aren't used to be exposed to their true nature. Your friend here is strong. You see he has been exposed to something that he hasn't felt. His true nature and where he comes from. When the person is exposed to some magic or power that belongs to him, the body needs time to recognize it or get used to. Whatever happened to him is a part of him. he's reliving his past. My question is how did you all get here?
Amy: long story but there was someone close to him that attacked us and sent us on this island through a vortex.
Ydolem: I see… you ran into kimira?
Amy: Yeah, how did you-?
Ydolem: Old friend when we were little.
Amy: Oh…
Ydolem: okay… grab that other blue bottle up there.
Amy reaches and grabs it and hands it to her.
Ydolem: alright!
She grabs the blue dust and puts it into her hand. She squeezes it together and blows into her fist and blue fire pops out. She does a circular motion with it and brings her hand on shadows head and the wound. The wound heals up completely and shadow calms down. The tattoo starts glowing and goes out and spreads a little further on his arm
Ydolem: Alright that should do it. Whatever is happening to him needs to run its course.
Amy: so what's happening to him exactly?
Ydolem: His body and him are coming to agreement with whatever he's been exposed to. He's fighting it but he needs to follow his own path. Whatever it is that's going on in his head.
Amy: Thanks for helping him.
Ydolem: its my pleasure. So, care to explain everything?
Amy: well I don't know where to begin but…
Ydolem: It's okay just start from the top if you have to.
Amy: Well…
