Note: So, I know it's been only a couple days, but I'm back. I recently was feeling a lot more confident to go back to writing again, and I appreciate you all for your patience. Granted, it's really only been a couple days, but I needed time to think to myself before I got back to doing this.

Either way, I'm totally okay, guys. Now, enjoy the next chapter.

Growl exits the mysterious hut, ready to look around for whoever lives on this island...

From the looks of the dirt path he had took to get here, it really only seems like this house is the only spot where it leads to. There wasn't any sort of alternate path that leads anywhere else, but from how big this island looks, it seems a little bit larger than just being a small atoll. So if this island has a lot more area than only this path and house, then there must be more to this place than Growl is seeing.

Growl steps off of the dirt path, walking through the dying grass below his feet. For some reason, he felt it was unnerving to step upon the dying grass that was around the island. To him, it felt like it was walking into quicksand, except it feels like it would be a lot worse than that. At least while he was walking on the grass, nothing deadly is happening to him.

He kept walking and walking, for what felt like hours, seeing nothing more but either dead trees or dead grass, as far as the eye can see. But during his walk, he could see something in the distance that was standing out to him. It seemed like that of a vegetable garden, along with a glass house too.

This was the part where Growl was starting to run towards this spot...

Growl ran towards this sight, hoping that somebody was there so that they can tell him where he is located at right now. He didn't stop running until he got there, feeling like whoever was there, probably would go away the moment he arrives. He sure wasn't going to let whoever lives here get away with him questioning them where he was, and that's what he intends on doing.

"Hey! Is somebody over there?!" Growl shouts, still charging his way over to the garden. "I need help!"

The male ninja finally arrived at the vegetable patch, seeing no sign of another person anywhere. Nothing more but growing plants and some vegetables, both of which were worthless to someone like Growl at the moment. There wasn't even a person inside the glasshouse either. It seems that even this spot was also deserted as well.

Looking around the small spot, Growl was a little confused with who even lives here, as well as to where they are. He looks left, and right, still seeing no sign of anyone on this island. He was about to walk back to the house, until he heard a voice behind him.

"It appears you've found my vegetable patch." A female voice said behind the male ninja. "I believe you're here to steal those vegetables."

Growl stood there, unsure what to say to a question like that. He slowly turns his head, ready to fight if this person attempts to do anything to him. He kept his fists balled, as he continued to stand there, looking behind himself.

"I don't need your vegetables. I just need a way off of this island." Growl said, rather calmly. "I don't want any trouble."

"Really? I find that hard to believe, just by looking at you." The girl said. "If you're going to steal, fine...just know, I'm not going to hesitate to send you flying off, into the unknown."

"Like you'd really do something like that."

Growl looks behind himself, finally seeing who was right behind him right now. It was a girl, which he pretty much already knew by the sound of her voice. But from the looks of her, he was surprised by. He was expecting a ninja, but was seeing that this person was rather different.

The girl behind him has light blue hair with some of the ends having yellow in it, as well as a black pointed hat with a pink ribbon around the bottom part. She appears to be wearing a black dress that reaches her knees, a dark purple cape with a popped-up collar, and dark purple leggings. The girl appeared to have black gloves, and is carrying a shovel in her right hand.

"Hmm...you don't appear as much as a threat, sweetheart." Growl said with a smirk. "So what are you doing an island all by yourself?" The woman glared at the ninja, pointing the shovel at him.

"I think I need to ask you THAT question." She said. "What are YOU doing on my island?! Also, how did you get onto my island?!"

Growl wasn't so sure how to respond to that, considering this girl was now threatening him with her shovel. He touches the blade of the shovel, moving it away from his face, as he began to speak. He knew how he got there, but he also knew that this person wouldn't like hearing what led him here.

So, deciding to play it all cool, he began to speak. "Look, how I got here is simple really. I washed up on the shore after I fell off of the cargo ship I was on." Growl explains to her. "However...The ship I was on exploded because...a certain former friend of mine thought it was a good idea to..." He rubs his chin. "Oh, how do I explain something like this?"

"Explain what?" The girl asked.

"...It's rather complicated to explain, sweetheart, but...I feel I need to explain who I am talking about, and what she has done before I got here, and before I got on that ship even."

"Really now? Okay."

The two began to walk towards the house that was off in the distance. The girl tosses the shovel over onto a nearby bench as she and Growl continued to walk. The male ninja continued to talk, lying throughout the entire explanation by how he had gotten here.

"There is this girl who I used to be very good friends with. Her name is Star." Growl says. "She and I go way back, however...she betrayed the village that we both grew up in, and... The male ninja cringed, before speaking onward about his former friend. "Well, you see...she has stolen a sword that belongs to me...called the Blade of Destiny...I tried to go after her, but..."

"Blade of Destiny? I've never heard of such an item." The blue-haired girl said.

"It's a sword that we ninjas had in our village for a very long time now. I can't exactly say when we gotten it, but all I know is that my former friend Star stole it from our village, and that she almost gotten away with it, until I got it back from her." Growl then glares the other direction, whispering the next part to himself. "Unless it's somewhere out in the ocean along with her corpse."

"What?" The girl asked, quickly turning her head towards the ninja.

"Nothing. Just me taking a guess of where it is."

"Oh...sorry than...and sorry about this Star person betraying you and your other villagers."

"Eh, no problem sweetheart." He then points at her. "By the way, doll...what's your name?"

"It's Wendalyn."

"Wendalyn? Okay...what do you do around this island...Wendalyn?" The girl shrugged, looking away from Growl.

"I do whatever I can to survive here. I have food for myself, I have a house, and I have...just myself to enjoy this island alone..."

"That...doesn't explain who you are."

"It's complicated for me to explain. But...if you want to talk some more, you can find me at my hut."

"Your hut? Why not explain now?"

"Because...I am busy with things at the moment, and the last thing I need to do is talk to some person who just...showed up on this island, our of the blue."

Growl stopped in his tracks, watching Wendalyn walk off to her house. He just glared at her, before crossing his arms. 'Tough girl, this one...I hope that she is not going to be as tough as Star is. Mainly to talk to, I mean.' Growl said in his thoughts, before he mutters something to himself. 'Well, guess I'm going to have to talk to her later. I'll have to figure out how to set up camp around here.'

Back at the Forest of the Elves...

Petal and Tulip were both in the village, now showing Star what goes on in the village. They showed her the many stores, such as a bakery, a book store, and a fruit stand. All of which seem pretty standard to Star, nothing more than that.

The two then entered the forest, showing Star what some of the elves do around there. The most that they do is take care of the animals or collect fruit from the trees. The ninja looks over to two elves who was talking to a raccoon, by a tree.

Star was finding all of this rather normal, before she accidentally bumped into an animal that she had never seen before. She backs up into a unicorn, turning her head, almost shocked by the looks of what was behind her. The unicorn stood there, staring at her as she was dumbfounded by the looks of the creature that was there.

"W-What is that?" Star asked, pointing at what was there.

"That is what's called a 'unicorn', Star." Tulip said, pointing at the animal. "Don't worry, they are very friendly, and they won't even hurt you with their horn." Star blinked a couple times, before looking back over to the two elves she was with.

"Really? I have never seen such a thing in my entire life." The ninja rubs her chin, before questioning further about this. "I must ask...how come I have never seen such a creature in other places?"

"Well...I don't...exactly know the answer to that..." Petal said, shrugging his shoulders, just as confused as the ninja. "However, my grandfather told me that our island is the only place that has these type of animals."

"Ah. I see." Star turns her head to look at the animal again. "I'm rather intrigued at this, Petal. I am rather surprised that I haven't seen them while I was trying to survive out in the forest the other night."

Tulip shrugs one shoulder. "They tend to sleep early at times."

"How peculiar."

"Indeed."

"So..." Petal claps her hands together, before she points behind herself. "...I believe that that is all we need to show you, Star. You know how us elves live, and take care of nature around here." Star crosses her arms, nodding her head at what Petal had said.

"Why thank you for the tour, Petal." Star said, bowing her head. "It was very kind of you to do so."

"Your very welcome." After Petal said that, Star places her hands on her waist as she began to walk into the forest.

Petal stood there, watching Star head off, back into the forest. To her, it seems like Star is willing to go off and set camp, but considering that the ninja was already out here all night, the elf queen felt bad for her. Feeling it's the right thing to do, she decided to raise a hand, walking over to the female ninja before she could go off any further.

"Star, wait!" Petal shouts, causing the ninja to stop in her tracks. "I was...thinking, and...since you already showed up here last night, and had to survive out here in the forest by your lonesome, I felt it's only best that you come to the castle and stay in one of the extra rooms that we have."

"Oh...I mustn't, Petal." Star said. "As much as I appreciate the generosity, the castle belongs to you, and you alone...I mustn't allow myself to ask for a spot to stay in there. Besides, I survived the forest last night, and probably will on other times." Tulip steps forward, holding up a hand.

"Uh, I just want to say that...I also live in the castle along with her." Tulip said, narrowing her eyes at the female ninja. "Either way, Star...you can say that you're tough against any form of enemy all you want, but remember our conversation, we elves do not use weapons or use our magic to harm others. We elves do everything in our power to protect nature and animals. Do I make myself clear?" Star stood there silently, slowly nodding her head in agreement. "Thank you. Now please...Petal is giving you an offer here that will surely be helpful for you until you can get your...mask...communication...thing fixed. Please...stay in the castle with us."

Star took a deep breath. She wanted to just walk away and ignore the two's suggestion for her to stay at the castle. But then again, it seemed like her only option, since it doesn't appear that the forest is all that safe at night, nor would it seem as the other elves be allowing her into their homes anytime soon. She bows her head again, before speaking on her decision.

"Very well." Star said, accepting herself to live in the castle. Star places a hand on her shoulder. "Then I promise I will not be a burden to the two of you." Petal smiled.

"Glad we can all come to an agreement." Petal said. "Anyway, why don't we go there already?

"Agreed." Tulip said. With all of that said and done, the three girls headed off to the castle.
